Velveteen Dream Injury Revealed on WWE NXT
It was revealed during Wednesday night’s NXT broadcast on the WWE Network that Veleveteen Dream was injured at Takeover: Wargames. This news comes following a star-making performance against Aleistar Black at the same event. Velveteen Dream, only 22 years old, was announced as part of a #1 Contender series (where the winner would get a shot at NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas), and was replaced by Johnny Gargano. Gargano, originally billed as a “mystery replacement,” would go on to defeat Kassius Ohno to advance in the series.
