A.J. Styles Speaks On WrestleMania Match And His Injury

As we have reported from over the weekend, Styles has been dealing with some sort of undisclosed leg injury. Styles was scheduled to team with Nakamura at last Friday’s live event at Madison Square Garden against Kevin& Sami Zayn.

WWE ran an injury angle at the beginning of the show to take Styles out of the match with Owens and Zayn attacking Styles’ leg. WWE changed the main event to a singles match with Nakamura and Owens. After the match Styles did save Nakamura from a post-match beating from Owens and Zayn.

He was still noticably limping during his return. He missed the remaining SmackDown live events over the weekend, where he was announced as injured during the show in San Angelo, Tx.

Styles was evaluated at RAW yesterday. While the results are not known, the fact that Styles still took part in today’s conference call would suggest that his injury isn’t too serious

Styles stated at the end of the interview, that even if he only has one leg, he will wrestle at WrestleMania.
