Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Announces May Event Will Be Keith Lee’s Farewell
There’s been much speculation surrounding the future for one of the independent scene’s hottest prospects, Keith Lee. As we noted back in March, Lee and fellow independent star WALTER were both reportedly offered WWE contracts. Additionally, Lee has lost a number of championships he held in various promotions, including the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Title over WrestleMania weekend to the aforementioned WALTER and even cut a promo that seemed to come off as a “goodbye” from those in attendance.
PWG has announced they will be returning to Reseda, California for an event on May 25th and according to PWInsider, this will be Lee’s farewell to the company. While nothing has been confirmed yet, all signs seem to indicate that he is headed to the WWE.
For those unfamiliar with Keith Lee, the 6-3, 330 pounder is in his early 30’s and has been competing since 2005, most recently for PWG, Ring Of Honor and Evolve.
