The 10 Defining Moments of Brock Lesnar’s Career
5. Winning the UFC Title
After failed foray into American Football and a controversial run in New Japan Lesnar began training in MMA. He debuted in UFC in against Frank Mir and didn’t start out great losing by submission in just over 2 minutes. While his time in UFC got off to a rocky start Lesnar would go on to win the UFC heavyweight championship and main event what was at that point the most bought UFC PPV of all time.
A lot of hardcore MMA fans were routing for Lesnar to fail he proved everyone wrong. Unfortunately for him his UFC career would be shortened when he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.
4. His WWE Return
In 2012 Lesnar returned to WWE the RAW after Mania 28 (he’s at it again). There were rumours of him returning and fans chanted his name throughout the show but until his music hit they were just that rumours. He confronted and hit John Cena with an F5 to a thunderous pop.
WWE used Lesnar’s time in UFC to further push Lesnar as this legitimate threat to anyone he went up against. This would also be the beginning of his run as a part time attraction.
