WWE News: Challenger For Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam Determined On RAW

After emerging victorious last week on RAW in two separate Triple Threat matches, the main event for the red brand tonight was set as Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley clashed in an Extreme Rules rematch to see who would challenge Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam on August 19th.

The two alphas of Monday Night RAW waged war in another back-and-forth battle that had fans inside Cincinnati’s US Bank Arena on the edge of their seat. Both men seemingly had the match won at different points, but the attrition, stamina and general fight contained within each kept the battle going with neither willing to give up their opportunity easily. Lashley nearly secured his shot at SummerSlam in the Barclays Center with a Spear, but it wasn’t enough and in the end, ‘The Big Dog would connect with a Superman Punch, followed by a Spear of his own to put it away.

Reigns will now meet Lesnar for the third time this year with the Universal Title on the line, previously getting opportunities at WrestleMania and the Greatest Royal Rumble.
