Tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW kicked off with the previously announced return of the red brand’s Commissioner Stephanie McMahon for a “historic announcement” (check that out here), which was rumored to be for a possible all-women’s pay-per-view, new Women’s Tag Team Titles or even both.

The show began with the entire locker room on the stage and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in the ring to welcome out his daughter Stephanie, along with WWE COO Triple H. Stephanie would speak about creating history being a rare thing, then Triple H chimed in to acknowledge the WWE Superstars on the stage and all brands, saying nights like tonight are because of them. He would go on to talk about the bond between the Superstars and how they’re a team, then asked all the female Superstars to step forward.

Hunter would continue on, stating that the male Superstars and all the fans have supported them through all their firsts, including Hell In A Cell, Royal Rumble and main event matches. Stephanie spoke about how the fans made all of this possible, giving women these opportunities and because of this, on October 28th there will be 50 women taking part in an event called Evolution, the first ever all-women’s pay-per-view at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. Commentary would also add that all women’s titles will be on the line, including NXT’s and the Finals of the Mae Young Classic.
