DX like many things in the attitude era was a product of it’s time. If you want proof of this just look at their 2006 reunion. Triple H turned face to help Shawn Micheals in his feud with Vince and Shane McMahon. Over the next few months they would spend their time either beating up the McMahons or the spirit squad.

Between this they would engage in what can only be described as childish jokes including sending Vince a roster because he “loved cocks”. I’d  just like to point out that this was two years before the change to PG.

It was pointless trying to be this group that was anti authority when everyone knew Triple H was married to Stephanie. Just as they were actually doing some good stuff with Rated RKO Triple H would be sidelined with another injury.

2. Taking an Executive Role

It was inevitable that Triple H would be in a position of power sooner or later. In 2013 he was named executive VP of talent,live events and creative. Around this NXT would became Triple H’s pet project with more of a focus on the in ring particularly in the Women’s division.

Triple H told the women of the developmental brand to go out to prove they were as good men. A lot ground work for the women’s revolution was laid with the matches being put on in NXT.

It’s through things like NXT, the UK division and the newly revamped 205 Live that fans have got a window into what a Triple H run WWE could look like. A clear investment in new ideas and the future being part of that.
