IMPACT News: IMPACT Wrestling Looking To Lock Down Ortiz & Santana
If you’ve been keeping up with IMPACT Wrestling over the past year or so, it’s no secret that many feel the company has become much more interesting and heading in a good direction, turning around a lot of negative public sentiment in early-2017.
One act that has become a focal point of the program has been LAX, their feud with The OGz becoming one of the biggest parts of IMPACT on Pop on a weekly basis. With the two sides set to square off once again at Bound For Glory next month, it looks like fans aren’t the only ones who have taken notice of LAX’s role on the show.
According to PWInsider, IMPACT Wrestling has been negotiating with Ortiz and Santana, the reigning IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, in an effort to lock them down to a longer deal. It’s being said that discussions began while IMPACT was recently in Mexico City for television tapings. Additionally, Ortiz and Santana’s current contracts are not expiring right off, however IMPACT is looking to get out in front of giving them new deals.
The duo, who is formerly known as EYFBO, have been with IMPACT Wrestling since March of 2017, debuting as the newest members of the reformed LAX along with Konnan, Homicide and Diamante.
