Top 10 Wrestlers Who Slipped Through The Cracks At TNA/IMPACT Wrestling

9. Xavier Woods (as Consequences Creed) (2007-2010)

As an inexperienced wrestler, Creed was brought in to be the tag team partner of Jay Lethal back in 2007. One of only two wrestlers on this list to win gold in TNA Wrestling, Creed won the Tag Team Titles with Lethal on one occasion. After Lethal departed the company, TNA management didn’t know what to do with Creed and they parted ways.

Since leaving, Woods joined the WWE development territories FCW and later NXT. An early call up to the main roster saw him teaming with R-Truth and going nowhere. Since then, Woods has joined with Kofi Kingston and Big E to form The New Day, one of the most entertaining tag teams in the WWE today. As part of this trio, Xavier Woods is now a 5 time WWE World Tag Team Champion between Raw and SmackDown Live as the group operates under The Freebird Rule, allowing all three men to defend the titles in different combinations.

8. “The Villain” Marty Scurll (2012-2013)

In 2012, TNA Wrestling ran a special series called British Boot Camp in order to find talent from across the pond to bring into their main roster. At the end of the series, Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter chose Rockstar Spud as the winner, sending Marty and The Blossom Twins back to the independent scene.

This was the best thing that could have happened to Marty, as he began to search for a character to make himself stand out, and The Villain began to take shape. Since then, Marty has become a marquee member of The Bullet Club, and has won the Ring of Honor Television Title, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title and the IWGP NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

7. Hirooki Goto (2006)

Goto began a foreign excision in 2006 which started in TNA Wrestling as part of Team Japan in the World X Cup. After the X Cup, all the members of Team Japan ended their working relationship with TNA and went to work in Mexico instead.

In Japan, Goto has become somewhat of a legend for New Japan, winning the IWGP Intercontinental Title twice, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title, IWGP Tag Team Title and the NEVER Openweight Title in his time there. Goto also won the 2008 New Japan G1 Climax and has won the New Japan Cup three times in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
