IMPACT Wrestling & WWE Officials Met Last Week In Stamford

This year, we’ve finally started to see some crossover between arguably the two most prominent wrestling promotions of the past ten years here in the United States, WWE and IMPACT Wrestling.

On the WWE Network, we’ve begun seeing TNA/IMPACT Wrestling content being used on programming such as the episode of WWE 24 on Matt and Jeff Hardy. At the end of any programming featuring IMPACT Wrestling, WWE has brief advertisements for the Global Wrestling Network, IMPACT’s own subscription streaming service. Today, it looks like there’s more effort being put into the two companies possibly working together in the future.

PWInsider is reporting and confirmed that officials from both WWE and IMPACT Wrestling had a meeting last week at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. According to the report, the two sides met in the middle of last week after IMPACT got back from their trip to England. It’s being said by a WWE source that the meeting was not about any specific negotiations, but to just simply to get both sides in the same room together.

It should be noted that a source from IMPACT stressed to PWInsider that the meeting was not about a potential sale of IMPACT Wrestling or it’s video library. Additionally, neither Vince McMahon nor Triple H were in attendance, however Scott D’Amore and Anthem’s Ed Nordholm took part along with “members of Triple H’s team”.
