Joey Janela Possibly Suffers Serious Leg Injury Last Night

There is certainly no question that with the state of the professional wrestling scene outside of the WWE being so healthy, there’s seemingly become an endless supply of quality talent in recent years.

One such possible future star is ‘Bad Boy’ Joey Janela, a 10-year veteran is the reigning WWN Champion, defeating Austin Theory for the title back on June 23rd. While Janela has been making a name for himself recently, it now looks like he may be needing to take some time off, possibly for an extended period.

PWInsider reports that Janela appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury last night at Gamechanger Wrestling in New Jersey. According to those in attendance, Janela executed a suicide dive in his match against Psicosis and came up limping following the spot. While Janela was able to get back into the ring, he quickly delivered a superkick and the match abruptly came to an end.

After the three count, Janela cut a promo apologizing to the fans and stating that he knew this injury was “bad”. He then broke down speaking about how much momentum his career had and how this would put a stop to that for a while. At this time no specifics are known, however Janela did go to a local hospital to get checked out.
