MLW News: Tommy Dreamer Match Added To MLW Fusion Tapings In New York

Published

on

MLW Fusion

Major League Wrestling’s return to the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York for its next set of Fusion television tapings is less than two weeks away now on October 4th and the card is starting to fill out nicely.

In addition to the return of an old WCW gimmick match with Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal, the event will also see LA Park vs. PCO, The Hart Foundation in a 6-Man Tag and much more. Today, MLW has announced another match for the tapings as Tommy Dreamer will go one-on-one with Brody King:

BRODY KING RAMPAGES INTO NYC OCTOBER 4TH AS HE GETS EXTREME WITH TOMMY DREAMER

NEW YORK – What happens when the “Innovator of Violence” takes on 6’5” California bounty hunter Brody King?  On October 4th at Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY we will find out as Tommy Dreamer vs. Brody King is signed for MLW FURY ROAD: an MLW Fusion TV taping. Tickets start at just $20 at www.MLWtickets.com

“I believe in violence. It’s the only thing understood universally,” says the wild brawler Brody King.  The dominate conjurer of chaos has been a force to reckon with in MLW but things will escalate to the extreme as he takes on New York’s own Tommy Dreamer.

Dreamer, making his MLW debut in singles competition, enters the match as a hometown favorite with an uncanny threshold for pain and penchant for hardcore violence.

Brody has been rumbling backstage at MLW events seemingly fixated on one of the gods of violence in Dreamer.  Now, he gets his shot at the legend.  With media from around the world on hand, will the “Intelligent Destroyer” crush the legend in his backyard?  Or, will Dreamer prove one more time why he is forever the “Innovator of Violence”?  Find out LIVE October 4th in New York City!

Tickets start at $20 for this MLW FUSION taping. [Buy tickets]

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition

Published

on

TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.

The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American

Published

on

Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.

He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
