PROGRESS News: Toni Storm To Be Cleared For ‘Hello Wembley’

As was noted last week, NXT UK Superstar Toni Storm was forced to vacate her wXw Women’s Championship last week (read about that here) after she suffered an injury at the last NXT UK television tapings in Birmingham, England on August 26th (for spoilers, go here).

While little details or specifics have been given on Storm’s injury, we do know that it is a back injury of some nature and a timetable for her in-ring return was not known. Since then, PROGRESS Wrestling has now confirmed that Toni will be medically cleared in time for their ‘Hello Wembley’ event at the SSE Arena on September 30th:

In addition to the Triple Threat for the PROGRESS Women’s World Title, other matches announced for ‘Hello Wembley’ feature more NXT UK Superstars as Eddie Dennis takes on Mark Andrews, WALTER defending the PROGRESS World Title against Tyler Bate, Trent Seven challenging Doug Williams for the PROGRESS Atlas Title and Pete Dunne vs. Ilja Dragunov. Plus, Matt Riddle will make his final independent appearance before starting with WWE when he squares off with Mark Haskins.
