WWE News: Hell In A Cell Structure Gets A New Look
With just over 24 hours remaining before tomorrow night’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, a fresh new look has been revealed today for the WWE’s historic structure.
Over the course of its 21 years in existence, the Hell In A Cell structure has only undergone minor changes to its appearance, primarily the layout of the actual cage’s dimensions. With WWE using Sunday’s event as a 20-year anniversary of the infamous Mankind vs. The Undertaker match at King Of The Ring 1998, it was clear at that time the original structure would not last forever.
Today, WWE revealed another switch to the usual Hell In A Cell with a live stream on YouTube of it being built inside the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The usual steel colored cell is no more as seen below:
This year’s Hell In A Cell event will also mark the 39th and 40th cell matches recognized in the company’s history (WWE does not recognize the Unforgiven 1999 Kennel From Hell between Al Snow and Big Boss Man). This year’s participants will be making history of their own as Jeff Hardy and Braun Strowman compete inside the the cell for the first time, while Randy Orton faces his seventh and Roman Reigns’ third.
