WWE News: Mick Foley To Play Big Role At Hell In A Cell

With WWE’s Hell In A Cell just six nights away from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, tonight’s go-home edition of RAW featured the return of former General Manager Mick Foley to promote the event.

What seemed to be just a segment with a legend to plug Sunday’s event, however Foley would announce a bit more involvement than that. With Elias performing in the squared circle, ‘The Hardcore Legend’ would interrupt, obviously to Elias’ dismay. Foley would attempt to be peaceful, but Elias wasn’t as kind in his words, which seemingly drew out a side of the multi-time WWE Champion we hadn’t seen in some time.

Mick would explain that this is the 20th anniversary of his famous Hell In A Cell match against The Undertaker, then revealed he had spoken to RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon about how he could be a part of the show on Sunday. Therefore, Foley would announce that when Roman Reigns defends the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman inside the cell, he would be the special referee.
