WWE News: Mickie James Talks Alexa Bliss’ Injury, Evolution Status

It’s just four short days away now until WWE’s first ever all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, yet the status of one Superstar in a marquee match is still not known.

Over the weekend, it was believed that the recently returned Alexa Bliss suffered either a broken nose or concussion at a Live Event in Hartford, Connecticut (see the initial story here). Alexa was then subsequently absent from RAW and with her scheduled to be alongside Mickie James at Evolution this Sunday against Trish Stratus and Lita, things became a little more worrisome when Alicia Fox helped Mickie jump the aforementioned Hall Of Famers on Monday night.

It was then reported that Alicia may have been used for the RAW segment in case she needs to replace Bliss, yet it was still yet to be stated what exactly was going on with the former RAW Women’s Champion. Her Evolution partner, Mickie, appeared on Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio today and addressed concerns that Alexa may not be medically cleared to compete:

“She’ll definitely be there on Sunday and I know she’s doing better. I try to talk to her everyday, I know she’s doing better everyday and it’s just, you know…obviously we all know this isn’t ballet and it comes with the territory so, you know. As long as it’s you know, what’s best for business and what’s best for her long-term health and everything else like that so, I have no doubts that regardless we’re all gonna be out there and it’s gonna be amazing and it’s a pretty historic moment. Especially for women’s wrestling and it’s gonna be great.”
