WWE News: Women’s Champions To Collide At Survivor Series

Although we are only a few days away from WWE’s Crown Jewel event this Friday at 12PM EST, there’s not much time after that before we hit the annual Thanksgiving time traditon, Survivor Series.

Tonight’s episode of RAW, which has already seen a bunch of advertising for Crown Jewel, gave us a big announcement regarding Survivor Series by revealing the first match for the event. In a battle of the top female Superstars on each brand, RAW Women’s Champion ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey will go into battle with SmackDown Women’s Champion ‘The Lass Kicker’ Becky Lynch.

This will mark the first time the two have ever squared off and likely confirms talk that the WWE has put the long talked about Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match on hold. Previously, it was discussed that Rousey, along with Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir would be facing Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Bayley at Survivor Series (see that story here). However, due to the feud between Becky and Charlotte, as well as the green nature of Duke and Shafir, the company has decided to shelve the idea once again (check that story here).

Survivor Series comes your way live on the WWE Network Sunday, November 18th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
