WWE Rumors: Alexa Bliss’ Status For Evolution In Question?

As we noted yesterday, there were rumors that WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss was injured over the weekend with speculation being that she suffered a broken nose when she teamed with Mickie James in Hartford, Connecticut Saturday night to face Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax (see that story here).

Bliss was subsequently absent from the rest of the weekend’s Live Events after being advertised and last night on RAW, we saw a segment in which Mickie James and Alicia Fox got into a brawl with Lita and Trish Stratus while Bliss was nowhere to be seen. Of course, Alexa and Mickie are scheduled to face the two Hall Of Famers this Sunday at Evolution. However, some more information has come to light regarding ‘Little Miss Bliss’.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Alexa’s status for the pay-per-view is very much in doubt now as it’s believed she actually suffered a concussion in Hartford. Additionally, while we last night still saw Alexa advertised for her match at Evolution, Meltzer notes that the brawl between Mickie, Alicia, Lita and Trish was done as a means to have Foxy replace Bliss should she not pass her concussion testing in time.

EA’s Take: I’m a believer here because when I saw that segment last night and Alexa was nowhere to be found, my instant reaction was that they were going to replace her with Alicia Fox. If people think the Battle Royal is a disappointment, I’d say this is a much bigger disappointment should Bliss be replaced. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nothing against Alicia, but I just don’t think fans will care nearly as much if Alexa isn’t in that match. I’m personally hoping she can get cleared in time, but concussions are a tricky thing and you just never know how long they will take.
