CMLL Coverage

Mistico, Atlantis, and El Hijo de LA Park vs Cavernario, Mephisto, and Ephesto

Atlantis and Ephesto start out and do some grappling. Hijo de LA Park and Cavernario get in and trade some spots. Mistico gets in with Mephisto and goes to the outside but gets beat up on. They then move their attack to beating on Atlantis. Park tries to make the save but the same result is given. I should state they’ve dimmed the lights for the second half of the show to give it a more dark feel. Ephesto submits Mistico with a boston crab and Cavernario submits Park with a neck stretch. First Fall: Cavernario submits Hijo de LA Park with a neck stretch.

Second round starts out with more of the same. Cavernario, Mephisto, and Ephesto teaming up on everyone until Mistico hits a hurricanrana out of nowhere, then Park hits a middle rope dive to the outside, and Mistico gets Cavernario in a flying head scissors that leads to a Fujiwara arm bar for the fall. Mistico submits Cavernario with a Fujiwara arm bar. Second Fall: Mistico submits Cavernario with a Fujiwara arm bar.

Third round starts with Mistico going wild on the other team. Park comes in next and continues the trend, then hits a hurricanrana over the top to the outside on Cavernario. Atlantis then gets in with Ephesto briefly, then Cavernario is back in to work on Atlantis. Atlantis hits a monkey flip on him then hip tosses everyone. Park hits another dive from the top to the outside. Cavernario hits a spinebuster on Atlantis then his running dive but Atlantis kicks out. A tower of doom spot is hit then Park hits a frog splash on Cavernario for a two count. Cavernario hits a dive to the outside on Mistico. Park hits a Spanish fly on Mephisto for the pin, and Atlantis hits a hurricanrana on Ephesto for the win. Third Fall: Atlantis pins Ephesto with a hurricanrana.

The losers now get dragged to hell.

Winners: Mistico, Atlantis, and El Hijo de LA Park

Random note in between, it appears this show has well over 10,000 people there.

King of the Underworld Championship

Sanson (Champion) vs Templario

Two rudos going toe to toe is odd for CMLL. They start with some mat wrestling to get a feel of each other. They break up and engage. They get up and exchange strikes. Templario gets him in a back stretch submission for the first fall. First Fall: Templario submits Sanson with a back stretch.

They stare each other down and trade chops to start round two. Templario gets Sanson to the outside and hits a basement drop kick off the apron while Sanson lay on the barricade. In the ring Sanson, counters him and gets the upper hand and hits a spinning power bomb for the win. Second Fall: Sanson pins Templario with a spinning power bomb.

Sanson hits an arm in suplex to start and Templario gets his foot on the rope. He hits another and tries to go for one more but Templario counters him. Templario makes a come back hitting a handspring back flip off the ramp for a two count. They trade some moves and Templario hits a dive to the outside. In the ring he tries to submit with a leg lock but it doesn’t work. I gotta say there’s not a lot of heat for this match. Templario hits a kick off the top while Sanson was drapped on the ropes.

When they get back in Sanson kicks Templario on the arpon then hits a dive off the top rope to the outside. Sanson hit the override for a two count. Templario then hits a lung blower for the two count. Templario then hits a dive off the turnbuckle post to the outside. Templario hits the power bomb lung blower but Sanson gets his hand on the rope. Sanson gets him to the top and hits a spinning power bomb off the top for the win. Third Fall: Sanson pins Templario with a spinning power bomb.

Templario gets dragged to hell.

Winners: Sanson

Michael Elgin, LA Park, and Diamante Azul vs Ultimo Guerrero, King Fenix, and Pentagon Jr

Elgin and Fenix start out and Elgin tries to use his strength but Fenix counters with his speed. Elgin shows off some of his lucha abilities. They stand in the center and trade strikes. Fenix goes for a dive but Park intercepts. Fenix eludes him and now the match has broken into chaos. Azul hits a dive and then Pentagon does, then Park hits one off the top rope. Now it’s Ultimo’s turn and he cannon balls into them. Back in the ring Fenix missed a swanton bomb on Elgin. Now everyone keeps countering everyone’s attack until Park spears Ultimo. First Fall: LA Park spears Ultimo Guerrero for the fall.

They stale a bit to start the round. Penta stays on the ramp by the “dead” people. Park and Guerrero are in the ring and they’re working over Guerrero. They continue to work over everyone and try to intimidate the ref. It’d be weird to get a DQ in a match where you get dragged to hell. Fenix tries to make a come back but they catch him and drop him. Penta hits a dive into the ring to change momentum. Azul and Elgin get put on the ground and Pentagon and Fenix hit their double team sunset flip driver on them for the fall. Second Fall: Penta and Fenix pins Diamante Azul and Michael Elgin with a double team sunset flip splash.

Azul and Fenix trade chops to start the last round. Fenix gets him seated in the corner and then launches Pentagon into him. They both super kick Elgin and go for a running attack but Elgin clotheslines them both. Azul press slams Fenix, disposing him. Then Elgin hits a dive over the top. Azul then hits a dive off the ramp, leaving Guerrero and Park in the ring. They posture to the crowd and the crowd cheers for both, slightly more for Park. Park gets into sunset flip position, then hits an arm drag to the outside, then a middle rope dive, which he turned into an arm drag. Nice. In the ring, Elgin hits a power bomb on Penta for the pin, then Azul hits a press slam off the top on Fenix for the win. Third Fall: Diamante Azul pins Fenix with a press slam off the top.

The losers get dragged to hell.

Winners: LA Park, Michael Elgin, Diamante Azul
