ROH News: Marty Scurll’s ROH World Title Shot On The Line At Final Battle

‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll will put his ROH World Title shot on the line at Final Battle!

As we get closer and closer to Ring Of Honor’s next big event, Final Battle from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on December 14th, more matches continue to be added to the card.

To this point, we’re already learned that the ROH World Championship, ROH World TV Championship and WOH World Women’s Championship will all be up for grabs. Not to mention the ROH debut of Zack Sabre Jr. against Jonathan Gresham (read about that here), on top of The Kingdom’s Matt Taven defending his ‘Real World Title’ against Dalton Castle and an I Quit Match pitting Flip Gordon against Bully Ray (see more on that here).

This morning, Ring Of Honor has announced another big match for Final Battle, as ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll puts the ROH World Title shot he earned at Survival Of The Fittest up against SoCal Uncensored’s Christopher Daniels:

Ring of Honor’s seminal event, Final Battle, emanates from Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday, December 14. Final Battle is ROH’s biggest card of the year and has been the site of some of ROH’s most memorable matches and this year will be no exception!

“The Villain” Marty Scurll added his name to the history books when he won the Survival of the Fittest Tournament in Columbus, OH by last eliminating Christopher Daniels with Graduation. The victory for Scurll adds yet another victory over former World Champion to Scurll’s won/loss record, making him not only the number one contender but also giving him a ton of momentum heading into a future ROH World Championship match!

But the World Championship match Scurll has in hand would have been a lifeline for Daniels. Daniels, who was told nearly one year ago in Philadelphia by ROH COO Joe Koff that his disparaging remarks and actions led him to decide that SCU’s contracts would not be renewed. Daniels’ pledges that he is a changed man have not been enough. Daniels needs leverage or a lifeline to extend his ROH stay and at Final Battle, Daniels faces Scurll for Scurll’s ROH World Title shot. If Daniels’ falls short, this could be his last ROH match!

FOR MARTY SCURLL’S SHOT AT THE ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

“THE VILLAIN” MARTY SCURLL vs. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS

For the first time, ever, Marty Scurll takes on Christopher Daniels one-on-one! For Scurll, he is putting his newly-minted ROH World Championship match on the line against a man starring down the sands of the hourglass of potentially his ROH career, Christopher Daniels! For Daniels, this may be his last shot, his last opportunity to extend his career in ROH.

Will Scurll beat Daniels and continue his roll as he looks ahead toward a shot at the ROH World Championship or will Daniels walk away the number one contender and force at least one last match in ROH? Find out LIVE as very limited tickets remain to join us in New York City for Final Battle!

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition

Published

on

TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.

The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American

Published

on

Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.

He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
