Back in August, PWI released its annual ‘PWI 500’ list, naming the top 500 professional wrestlers of the past year which was topped by reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega for the first time.

Now, Pro Wrestling Illusatrated’s annual ‘Female 50’ has been rebranded the ‘Women’s 100’ and revealed today with current RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey topping the list.

Following Asuka taking the top spot last year, Rousey slides in at number one this year after debuting at WrestleMania alongside Kurt Angle against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Of course, Ronda is undefeated thus far in her WWE tenure and became the RAW Women’s Champion back at SummerSlam. The top ten has also been revealed and has created some issues for a lot of members of the WWE Universe, as the current SmackDown Women’s Champion and Rousey’s Survivor Series opponent, Becky Lynch, did not crack the top ten:

1. Ronda Rousey
2. Alexa Bliss
3. Charlotte Flair
4. Io Shirai
5. Asuka
6. Shayna Baszler
7. Carmella
8. Nia Jax
9. Mayu Iwatani
10. Kairi Sane

It should also be noted that the evaluation period for the PWI Women’s 100 is from October 1st, 2017 to September 30th, 2018.

EA’s Take: People can be as mad as they want, but Becky doesn’t deserve to be in the top ten given the evaluation period. Someone please tell me what exactly she has done before SummerSlam? Absolutely nothing and fans can blame it on booking or whatever they want to, but the fact is that Becky was bland before she turned on Charlotte. Sorry, not sorry. Therefore, just wait until next year’s list before going off on some tangent about Becky “getting screwed over”. Eleven of the twelve months used for evaluation for the list saw her doing nil.
