Rumor has it that the scheduled Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey match will not take place!

As we saw last night on RAW, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch led the SmackDown Women’s Division in a “takeover” of the main event segment (relive it with Mitchell’s Live RAW Report here).

‘The Lass Kicker’ appeared backstage with her Survivor Series opponent, RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in the Dis-Arm-Her, then made her way into the arena where the rest of the blue brand’s Women’s Division attacked and left RAW’s ladies laying to end the show. However, we all saw Becky get bloodied after what appeared to be an errant elbow from Nia Jax.

While nothing had been confirmed, it looked to be quite obvious that Becky had a broken nose, but nobody really believed it would have any bearing on her scheduled Survivor Series match. Today however, multiple reports have surfaced that Lynch not only has a broken nose, but a concussion as well. As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the Rousey vs. Lynch match has now been pulled from Survivor Series, which has also been seconded by the WrestleVotes Twitter account:

At this time, nothing has been confirmed by WWE yet and the match is still being advertised.

EA’s Take: Clearly, this would be a big blow to fans, but I do think if it’s true then the pay-per-view will still be just fine. Unfortunately, I don’t see how WWE could come back to this match again down the road unless it were to happen at WrestleMania. I also think they were priming this to be the Survivor Series main event as well with the way they’ve been promoting it, giving it a key spotlight on the go-home edition of RAW. I’m not the biggest Becky Lynch fan, but I certainly don’t want to miss out on her facing Ronda.
