Shane Strickland’s WWE Arrival Reportedly Will Be Delayed Due To Contractual Issue

A contractual issue is delaying Shane Strickland signing with WWE!

Recently, we’ve noted how a handful of independent stars appear to be on their way to the WWE, as it’s expected the company will be announcing a new Performance Center class that could include former IMPACT Wrestling star Trevor Lee (see that story here) and MLW’s Shane Strickland (check that out here).

In an update on Strickland’s status today, PWInsider is reporting that it looks like a contractual issue could hold up his arrival to the WWE. It’s being said that due to his deal with Lucha Underground (which he appeared for as Killshot), he likely will not be heading to Orlando, Florida in January. Additionally, it was noted that his Lucha Underground contract is coming close to expiring, but he still can’t officially sign with anybody until that is finalized.

Meanwhile, Strickland will not be done with MLW at next week’s shows in Miami after the company began making plans for his departure this Summer. Instead, ‘Swerve’ is now being advertised for MLW’s February Superfight event in Philadelphia.
