NJPW News: Kota Ibushi Concussed At Wrestle Kingdom 13
Kota Ibushi was injured at Wrestle Kingdom!
If you didn’t get the chance to stay up and catch New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 (first of all, keep up with Andrew’s Results & Review), the action kicked off with the NEVER Openweight Championship on the line as Will Ospreay challenged Kota Ibushi.
For fans who did tune in, the match was a fast-paced, hard-hitting battle that saw Ibushi take some wicked shots to the head, one back elbow to the skull standing out in particular that essentially put an end to the match after Kota looked to be legitimately knocked out cold.

While many fans have been unsure on whether this was a legitimate injury or part of an angle, New Japan Pro Wrestling has since announced that Kota did suffer a concussion, but according to Chris Charlton (@reasonjp) it’s being described as “not serious”.
At this time there is no further information on Ibushi’s condition and it’s not known how long he may possibly be out of action for. It’s believed that there could be an update provided by New Japan Pro Wrestling as early as at New Year Dash (which is set to take place early tomorrow morning for us here in the United States).
