Press Release: DEFY Wrestling’s 2nd Anniversary Coming To Seattle
More details on DEFY Wrestling’s 2nd Anniversary!
Coming up on January 19th, DEFY Wrestling will return to Seattle, Washington for an event that will feature SoCal Uncensored, Shane Strickland and many more stars.
‘DEFY Never Dies’ is the promotion’s 2nd Anniversary show and today The Chairshot was issued the following press release by Matt Farmer with more details on the event:
DEFY WRESTLING CELEBRATES IT’S SECOND ANNIVERSARY JANUARY 19TH
January 19th DEFY Never Dies comes to Seattle’s Washington Hall to celebrate it’s 2nd anniversary. Over the course of two years DEFY Wrestling has exploded in popularity, hosting events across the region. We have seen some of wrestling’s biggest stars compete inside a DEFY ring, proving to be one of the premier wrestling organizations in the world and it is based in the Pacific Northwest!
New DEFY World Champion Artemis Spencer will put his championship on the line as he defends against IMPACT Wrestling star Dezmond Xavier. Artemis defeated former champion Shane Strickland last month in what many are calling the greatest match and loudest reaction reminisce of “Beast Quake” from the 2011 NFC Wild Card game! This will be a major challenge for the new champion as Xavier is one of the industries fastest rising stars.
Three of DEFY Wrestling’s more popular wrestlers, former champion “Swerve” Shane Strickland, “the Weirdo Hero” Randy Myers, and the “Baddest Man in Wrestling” SCHAFF will join forces. They will be representing DEFY Wrestling as they take on the veteran team and All Elite Wrestling stars Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky. Collectively known as SoCal Uncensored or simply referred to as S C U!
DEFY Never Dies will see the debut of Australian sensation Robbie Eagles as he battles “Classic” Cody Chhun. Chhun has impressed fans with his unique style of wrestling, and he’ll need to be at his best to defeat Eagles who has recently competed in such promotions as New Japan Pro Wrestling, PWG and World Series of Wrestling.
Fans will also get to witness one of wrestling’s more dynamic matches with the second annual DEFY TO SURVIVE match. D2S is a blind draw, ten man, elimination match, where if the winning team has more than one member remaining are forced to face off until one participant remains. We have seen from last years D2S the winner can put that competitor on a direct trajectory to a top spot in DEFY Wrestling as last years winner is current DEFY World Champion Artemis Spencer!
Many more exciting matches will take place including DEFY Tag Team Champions Amerikan Gunz taking on Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs, collectively known as One Percent!
A limited number of standing room only tickets are available for January 19th. This is a 21 and over event with food and drinks being provided by Lunchbox Laboratory. Tickets are available at www.DefyWrestling.com
DEFY Wrestling heads to the Hawthorne Theater in Portland Oregon on February 9th and returns to Washington Hall in Seattle on March 8th!

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition
TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.
The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American
Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.
He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
