WWE News: New Intercontinental Champion Crowned On RAW

We have a new Intercontinental Champion!

As was stated earlier, there has been no shortage of news coming out of tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW (keep up with it all with Mitchell’s Live Report).

Thus far, we’ve seen Braun Strowman lose his Royal Rumble Universal Title shot (more on that here), plus EC3 made his first RAW appearance (find that here), as well as Nikki Cross when we learned that all the new NXT arrivals will be on both brands for the time being (check that out here).

Also on the red brand this evening, Dean Ambrose put his Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Triple Threat against Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins. While Ambrose wasn’t pleased with having two challengers, it wouldn’t change the fact that he would be forced into a defense on back-to-back weeks.

While all three Superstars are talented enough in their own right to win the championship, it would ultimately come down to the fourth man on the outside. Lio Rush would prove to be the deciding factor, creating enough of a distraction to give his guy Lashley the opening to secure a pinfall and win his first Intercontinental Title:
