Tiffany’s NXT Takes: Prophecy Fulfilled?

After making a compelling argument about being robbed at TakeOver: Toronto, will Undisputed Era fulfill the prophecy?

NXT Women’s Division

I am so happy that Io Shirai vs Candice LeRae is continuing! Both women have so needed to have feuds of their own and this has been perfect for both of them! Shirai gets to grow into being a heel and Candice gets to show that’s she’s more than Mrs. Wrestling. Also, she swings a hell of a Kendo stick, if they handed out Silver Sluggers for Kendo swinging, she’d get my vote. I don’t know if Candice will come out on top the next time she and Shirai face off, but I hope she will. She needs the spotlight and the win.

I didn’t know I wanted Rhea Ripley vs Shayna Baszler until tonight, but I do want it. There are a couple of things keeping me from completely fangirling over this dream match. 1. It basically means Piper Niven will win the rematch next week and 2. Mia Yim is out of the title picture. I really don’t mind the first one since I love Piper Niven but the second one bums me out, especially after last week. That said, I’m hopeful that Yim and Ripley will team up to take down the Horsewomen so Yim can stay in the title picture, but it still bums me out a little.

Undisupted Era

I hope Pete Dunne staying in NXT’s North American Championship picture doesn’t mean Roderick Strong is out of it. Even though his voice annoys me, Strong really needs a strong singles run to avoid being overshadowed in Undisputed Era…unless they’re going to restart the Strong vs Adam Cole storyline.

I’m glad that William Regal agreed to give Undisputed Era a rematch from TakeOver. Even if the claim about the tag isn’t totally true, the facts are fuzzy enough to need clarification. The match was AWESOME, just like I expected it to be and we have NEW Tag Team Champions! This wasn’t really a surprise since Street Profits didn’t have their championship belts on RAW this week, fueling speculating that they were going to drop the titles, but two-thirds of the prophecy has been fulfilled, we just need for Strong to get his hands on that North American Championship!
