Impact has seen a nice resurgence in 2019. Moving towards the holiday do we get more build to Hard to Kill or Christmas phoning it in?

Sami Callihan is supposed to expose Tessa Blanchard, Tenille Dashwood returns, Joey Ryan faces Acey Romero as his Wrestler’s Court punishment and RVD continues to act like the douchey college jock.

I don’t have anything else cute to say. and no real clever promos tonight.

Well…umm…take a look? It’s in a book? Reading Rainbow?

I got nothing, continue on.

Ratings:

  • Jordynne Grace vs Tenille Dashwood: Jordynne wins via Head and Leg Cradle – ** 1/2
  • TJP w/Fallah Bahh vs Daga: TJP wins via Iron Maiden – *** 1/2
  • Ethan Page w/Josh Alexander vs Rich Swann w/Willie Mack: Page wins via DQ – ***
  • Acey Romero vs Joey Ryan: Joey Ryan wins via Sweet Tooth Music – **
  • Petey Williams vs Ace Austin: Ace wins via The Fold – ** 1/2

Analysis:

Jordynne Grace vs Tenille Dashwood – We haven’t seen Tenille in a hot minute since her loss at Bound for Glory, but it’s nice to see her return to Impact. The match was pretty competitive, Tenille had Jordynne on the backfoot most of the match, especially after a Hanging Neck Breaker. Tenille hits her Taste of Tenille, and then goes for a Butterfly Suplex instead of a finisher. SO that’s kinda awkward, La Magistral attempt turns into Jordynne stopping the momentum and turning the pin attempt in her favor. Jordynne picks up a surprising win after a decent match, Taya attacks Jordynne and Tenille makes the save.

Moose confronts Rhino in the back teasing him that Moose’s Spear beat RVD, something the Gore couldn’t do. So Rhino Gores Moose for his trouble. I guess this is building to an eventual match.

TJP w/Fallah Bahh vs Daga – TJP and Daga come out to put on a hell of a match. TJP’s first match in a few weeks for Impact and Daga doing the damn thing. This went through the commercial break and got a good amount of time. Daga had a few opportunities, but TJP kept his head above water most of this match. For a random match with no build up, this was still pretty damn good.

Desi Hit Squad attack Fallah and TJP, Daga helps out and Shera returns from his spiritual journey. Maybe we get a 6 man in the future.

RVD comes out basically to continue saying he’s been ripped off by every current wrestler, in between making out with Katie Forbes. He’s doing a great job being the douchey guy from college that we all hate.

ImpactPlus Flashback Moment: Motor City Machine Guns vs Generation Me, Tag Team Championship Full Metal Mayhem, Final Resolution, December 5, 2010

This clueless mortal Suzie gimmick has been amusing, and it looks like we’re creeping closer to the pay off.

We see Taya ask Madison Rayne and Keira Hogan for help, and like any smart wrestlers, they want something if they decide to help Taya. Taya says if she’s still champ after Hard to Kill, she’ll give both of them title shots.

Ethan Page w/Josh Alexander vs Rich Swann w/Willie Mack – Page and Alexander start their mind games against the number one contenders, and for some reason Page thought a singles match would be a good time. Page shows he’s more than just a loud mouth by keeping up with Swann. Alexander interferes a little on the obvious side to distract the referee, so when Willie Mack tries to say something, it costs Swann in the form of a tandem DDT. Page then follows that up with a nice Gotch Neutralizer before the twist came in. Alexander eats a dive from Swann and Page takes a swing at Mack, causing him to get in the ring and fire back, which gets Swann disqualified. Will The North succeed in breaking apart Willie and Rich?

Acey Romero vs Joey Ryan – Johnny Swinger comes out for commentary and starts making tons of references. Heenanisms, How Much Does This Guy Weigh, just good winks to general idiocy. Acey dominated most of the match until the lollipop went into Kid Ref’s mouth and I guess that counts as a ref bump. Touch it, Swinger interferes to try and do a Fanny Pack version of the Dick Flip, but fails. We get a Dick Flip, second lollipop and Sweet Tooth Music for Joey Ryan to overcome his Wrestler’s Court sentence.

Petey Williams vs Ace Austin – Ace gets a random X Division match just so he can make some comments towards Trey’s mom after the match. The match itself was alright, nothing crazy, but Petey this year has just been trying super hard to pull off Canadian Destroyers even when he could do…anything else…makes the matches a little bland. Not a bad match, but it definitely didn’t stand out that much. Just solid work.

The show ends with Sami Callihan talking about how he’s actually the good guy because he treats Tessa like an equal. Which is effectively an extension of the same stuff he said leading up to Slammiversary but now he’s champion. Tessa comes out, we get a brawl, Fulton jumps Tessa but Shamrock comes out to equalize the numbers. Sami and Tessa brawl to the back and then outside.

Overall Score: 6.25/10

There was a lot of good in ring action in this show, but none of it really had repercussions. Ethan Page versus Rich Swann played into their coming title match, but everything else was more of a stepping stone in the respective storylines. Tenille might find a way into the Hard to Kill match depending on what her level of involvement ends up being, Daga might help Fallah and TJP against the Desi Hit Squad, Ace Austin used the Petey Williams win to get in Trey’s head and Joey Ryan…well that’s some comedy or something.

We get good ring work, not a lot of story build and the show ends on a fade to black during the Tessa and Sami brawl. The episode didn’t bother me, but it felt lackluster and a lot of X Division style matches started to make the episode bleed together. It could’ve been better served with change of pace matches instead of just back to back vignettes, but it wasn’t awful. Just not their best work this year.

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 3.12.2026

There hasn’t been a bad episode since the AMC debut…did I just jinx it?

Published

on

So last few weeks have been passable but nothing crazy, also, nothing terrible. But one has to think that we’ll be seeing something shift. With two weeks until Sacrifice, we’re bound to get either an awful show or a show with some real momentum.

Ricky Sosa makes his Impact debut, Maclin apologizes and Moose vs Cedric in a Street Fight. So there’s potential for something exciting to happen.

Let’s see if we get crap or something to continue the good momentum.

https://twitter.com/i/status/2032267522280448163

Ratings:

  • The Hardyz vs Sinner & Saint: Hardyz win via Spinal Destination – * 1/2
  • Indi Hartwell vs Kelsey Heather: Indi wins via Hurts Don’t It – SQUASH
  • Trey Miguel, Rich Swann & BDE vs Order 4 w/Tasha Steelz & Agent Zero: Trey wins via Lightning Spiral – ***
  • AJ Francis vs Elijah: AJ wins via Down Payment – **
  • Ricky Sosa vs Brad Attitude: Sosa wins via Blue Thunder Bang – ***
  • Atlanta Street Fight: Cedric Alexander vs Moose: Moose wins via Lights Out through Table – *** 1/4

Results:

The Hardyz vs Sinner & Saint

I cannot say enough how much I can’t stand these two jabroni, generic white boy losers. The bald one gets worked over with basic Hardyz stuff, Collar & Elbow tie ups, Arm Wringers, a Poetry in Motion…the doofus squad is getting rocked until the one pulls the other idiot down from a Razor’s Edge that Matt attempts.

Jeff tweaks his knee or something during the scrum, Matt tries to set him up with a Side Effect and depositing the one. Jeff gets crotched cause he’s slow. Doofus Duo get a near fall but this is a set up for Jeff to finally win with his new submission. He calls it Spinal Destination. It’s like a Cobra Clutch Backbreaker…or something. Looks neat but weird. Reminds me of when Okada tried to use the Deep in Debt or the Money Clip…and it just looked wrong.

Jeff also hits a Swanton after the fact for…reasons? This match was useless. Unless Jeff’s knee plays into The Hardyz losing against The System, this was a useless match with a nothing finish.

Indi Hartwell vs Kelsey Heather

I love women with two first names…(this comment is sarcasm)

Indi literally tosses Kelsey on her face, rolls through an Arm Wringer and making the Jobber look…very jobby. Indi shrugs her off, blocks a takedown, Shoulder Blocks her into tomorrow and takes a deliberate pace. Kelsey gets in a cheapshot, tries a gymastic Triplle Handspring Back Elbow but Indi moves. Body Scissors, Split Legged Bulldog, Dropkick, Kelsey gets a few spots to show her stuff. She flaunts her advantage too long, misses the Moonsault, and Indi kills her.

Indi hits the Spinebuster, does a little Batista afterwards and the Hurts Don’t It for the win.

It was a job match, but honestly, Kelsey looked pretty good. She’s athletic, attractive, I just wish all jobbers weren’t cocky.

Trey Miguel, Rich Swann & BDE vs Order 4 w/Tasha Steelz & Agent Zero:

Ali shows off his new look, new theme, new swagger. Still not better than Rich Swann’s newer theme.

Order 4 attacks right after their entrance, as the bell rings. Great Hands Double Choke Bomb Trey into the apron, Mustafa takes out Rich, they focus BDE, shoot him into the ring and go to work. BDE tries to fight out of the heel corner, but the numbers stop him, Ali tags in Skyler, Double Shoulder Block, Chops, Knee Lift, and a near fall. Skyler rocks BDE with combination Chops and Punches. BDE tries a flash Small Package, but Skyler kicks out, BDE charges and a Release Belly to Belly sends BDE flying. Hotch comes in, Skyler feeds him in, BDE fights back, Hotch gets flipped, Ali with the blind tag. Skyler halts BDE’s offense and sets up the stereo Rolling Neckbreakers from Hotch and Ali. Beautiful spot.

Long commercial break returns with Rich Swann spinning Ali around and a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissor spiking Ali into the mat. Great Hands make a save, Trey and Rich take them out, Rich jumps back up, Frog Splash on Ali and…1-2…kick out!

Tasha starts jumping on the apron, Jada Stone comes out to even the score. Signature Spam spot in the ring. BDE hits his Oscutter, Hotch with the Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker, Trey with his Sliding Knees DDT, but Ali with the Dive to rock Trey, Swanny with the Back Kick into Ali’s face, Skyler Spears Swan on the apron. Throws Trey in, Skyler wants Slingshot Spear but Trey side steps it, Shellshocked into Lightning Spiral for the win.

Maclin comes out to make his apology and he’s clean shaven and enjoying being a douchebag. He thanks Daria, says she’s the best. Says he’s sorry Tom is such a weak bitch and felt offended. It’s a very Jersey apology.

Maclin also frames Santana as pathetic using his addiction and father as a crutch for sympathy. Drops truth bombs about literally watching people die as a Marine, his father is dead too, but unlike Mike, he doesn’t have the privilege to even remember what his voice sounds like. As I said earlier, a very Jersey apology. “I’m sorry you’re weak and pathetic, my life sucks too but I suck it up and deal with it. Grow a pair.” – that’s effectively what he had to say to everyone, and it was great.

AJ Francis vs Elijah

Kaz is back on commentary, and after getting verbally ran down, Tom is still bothered. So Kaz instigated is amusing.

Elijah drops AJ, bounces his face off the apron a few times. Elijah with the Drive-By Hip Attack and points at Kaz. Prayer Walk spot is cut off by AJ, Fireman’s carry, Elijah slips down, Pop-Up Forearm from AJ to finally get some momentum. AJ starts stretching Elijah in between the ropes, drops him in the corner and Tennessee Whiskey connects as AJ controls the match now.

AJ wants a Powerbomb, Elijah fights back, Alabama Slam, peppers in Forearms in the corner. AJ tries to whip Elijah out but up and over into a Knee Lift, dropping AJ on his ass. Elijah goes up, AJ crotches him, Superplex attempt, but Elijah fights off and goes back to the Prayer Walk with Elijah into a Canadian Destroyer! Okay, that was a neat wrinkle. AJ powders to the commentary table, Elijah cuts him off, takes a drink and throws the bottle at Kaz. So Kaz Stun Guns Elijah while the ref is distracted and AJ hits the Down Payment for the victory.

Hometown Man makes the save.

Ricky Sosa vs Brad Attitude

Brad takes a cheap shot, but Ricky spin cycles him, quick cradle, for two, into a nice Dropkick, Armbreaker to the Bang Bang beat, into a chop. Ricky tries for a Springboard but Brad cuts him off in the corner causing him to crash down, eat some Forearms and a Slingshot Senton for a near fall. Charging Euro Uppers, into a Rewind Bicycle Kick, nice Moonsault.

After blocking the first Blue Thunder Bomb attempt, Brad goes for a Slingshot, but gets caught, curled for strength show off and Blue Thunder Bang!

Atlanta Street Fight: Cedric Alexander vs Moose

Moose comes out hot, big Pump Kick, Uranage, Senton, and he’s just overpowering Cedric early. Cedric powders and starts finding spots to land Uppercuts. Moose gets in a Kick that rocks Cedric, Moose wants a Suplex but Cedric blocks, then Cedric tries the suplex but Moose blocks, Pump Kick and Chop rock Cedric. Moose tries again, but Cedric manages to power through and hit the counter suplex. Cedric goes to grab a chair, accidently grabs two, so while Cedric is posturing, Moose stands up, chair duel, into Moose getting the best of things with chairshots.

We come back from commercial to Cedric beating Moose with cookie sheets, setting up a chair in the corner…and whipping Moose into it! Moose puts the brakes on, turns things around, perches Cedric, GO TO HELL! Only a two count, but both powder and look for weapons. Moose charges Cedric, he moves and Moose crashes into the steps. Cookie Sheets must’ve been on sale at the Dollar Store, because that’s like three in a row. Cedric grabs a chair, talks a lot but Lish gets in the way. Cedric gives her a look and puts the chair down, but starts poking her. Lish slaps the dreadlocks off Cedric’s head, Apron Bomb from Moose!

Low Blow from Cedric, Powerbomb from the apron to the trash can. Cedric doing the typical illogical thing of wandering around for more chairs, even though there’s chairs in the ring. He shows the table…the crowd pops, but then he grabs another chair. Solid heel work. Took too long though…Moose gets up to cut off Cedric on the buckles Superplex into the chair pile. Everyone is in pain.

Moose makes a weak cover, and only a two count. Cedric counters the Spear with a Spanish Fly. Cedric bounces off the ropes for something, but Moose cuts him off with the Spear mid-air! Cedric powders so Moose grabs a table so the crowd is happy. Moose sets up the table in the ring, Cedric crawls in, they play the put the brakes on game, but Cedric throws Moose into the chair from after the commercial brake. Cedric hits the Brainbuster and Moose kicks out at one! Cedric hits him, Moose hulks up with the Moose trucker pull. Headbutts Cedric, Lights Out through the table! Moose wins!

Overall Score: 6.75/10

Okay, I didn’t know where they were going with Rosemary last week, but if she’s on this whole Redemption tour where we’ll see some nice callbacks, I’m all here for it. Swinger, Bravo and of course the Bunny Allie. Hell Dango taking Sinner & Saint to Mexico COULD maybe give them a manager or something to make me stop hating them. Goldylocks being back I don’t care too much for though. Bring back Lauren and then I’ll be giddy. Maclin’s Jersey apology was great, Ricky Sosa looked awesome and not many lowlights. The worst part of the show is honestly just the fact that Arianna and Stacks have no chemistry on screen. I find it kinda funny…I find it kinda sad, since they’re together for real…and they don’t work.

Daria and Santino trying to out pettiness one another is fantastic as well. Matches weren’t bad tonight. Generally enjoyable. Not a ton of impactful things happened, but it was fun, kept moving and not much slowed down the juice. Ludacris Tastes Good GIF by First We Feast

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 3.5.2026

Two title matches tonight! Do they amount to anything?

Published

on

Coming off the worst show in a few months, but still tolerable, we get a Live show today. Now we know that most TNA shows have audio run by a high school AV club, so there is bound to be muted audio, dumb stuff and mics that aren’t on. So we can only hope the show is good regardless of audio.

I don’t really love two perceivably useless title matches though. Jody Threat is not a threat to anything beyond catering. She’s trash and has no shot against Arianna even if there wasn’t going to be cheating. Plus Nic already has the trophy for a World title shot, so giving him the X Division makes no sense.

Lets see where this goes.

Ratings:

  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jody Threat vs Arianna Grace (c) w/Stacks: Arianna retains via Roll-Up – *
  • The System vs The Righteous vs Sinner & Saint vs BDE & Rich Swann: Bear wins via Fire/Thunder Driver – ***
  • Elayna Black vs Mara Sade: Elayna wins via Knuckles – ** 1/2
  • TNA X Division Championship: Nic Nemeth w/Ryan vs Leon Slater (c): Leon retains via Swanton 450 – *** 1/4

Results:

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jody Threat vs Arianna Grace (c) w/Stacks

Tessa’s music hits right after Arianna’s and it blended gorgeously. Tessa’s crew looks amazing especially Tessa. So I’m…not upset.

Arianna attacks Jody as soon as the bell rings, Jody does turn it around into Short Arm Lariats in the corner and an Exploder Suplex. But then Dani Luna walks out through the crowd to watch. I do like that the muddied Knockouts title picture is being put on display. Indi Hartwell walks out too. Arianna lays in some trips and knees after Jody gets distracted. Twisting Neckbreaker from Arianna and we see Lei and Xia on the ramp too. The whole Knockouts Division are circling like sharks…it’s cool and all the Knockouts look great.

Jody fires but the crowd doesn’t really care. They aren’t reacting to her, just kinda amusing themselves. Double Knees, Release German into a Michinoku Driver for two. Stacks pulls out Arianna allowing Jody a Dive spot to wipe out Stacks. Arianna and Jody tug of war over the Cobra, Arianna wins the tug of war, kicks Jody in the ribs and Roll-Up retains!

The match was useless because Jody sucks and isn’t a real threat. So it was fine to give Arianna a title defense, but there was no way Jody was winning and this still made her look bad.

The Elegantos walk out, Mr. E is wearing Daisy Dukes. Literally, not figuratively. The only way this dude will be salvageable is if he ends up being Kurt Angle in the ring. They start insulting Mama June who’s in the audience, and they say she should be at a Food Truck. So ODB shows up. The Elegantos continue to talk shit, ODB takes them out, kicks Mr. E in the nards and her with the Mama June cast dump Chilli all over the Elegantos. A dumb stop, but ODB is a TNA Legend and I think she was talking about retiring this year. So it’s always nice to see One Dirty Bitch.

The System vs The Righteous vs Sinner & Saint vs BDE & Rich Swann

BDE starts with one of the loser jabronis, they tag the other in, Rewind Suplex into a tandem Dropkick, but then Rich tags in Bear Bronson takes a Blind Tag, wipes out Rich and BDE, Jabronis do a stupid assisted Dive spot but BDE and Swann get their spot in and then Dutch does his big boy Tope con Hilo. The crowd likes it but I don’t care about the car crash spot.

Dutch and Righteous have some tandem offense, but Bear with another blind tag, Choke Bomb from Bear on Vincent for two. A few more stomps before tagging to Myers and then Vincent starts to fight up but Myers cuts him off. Bear tags back in, tandem Suplex gets reversed into a Double Neckbreaker and the match breaks down a little. Jabronis get laid out by Swanny, Frankensteinering one into the other for two. Nerds double team Swann, but they suck so Rich eventually rolls out of it, BDE tags in, his Oscutter gets caught and simultaneous Lariats for the random tag spot. Vincent tags in, but BDE Small Package gets two. Dutch and Vincent with an Assisted Cutter and everyone else breaks up the pinfall.

Vincent with a DDT/Flatliner combo after the mayhem, Roster Cut and Spear from Myers, Bear with a Fire/Thunder Driver for the win!

Decent enough, the right team won anyway. Jabronis are trash, BDE & Swann are too new and Righteous is in a weird spot while we just saw them get a shot.

Moose and Alisha come out to address things. Moose says The System ain’t family, and shouts out his former Falcons teammates in attendance like John Abraham. Moose is bringing decent intensity, he’s just tripping over a lot of his punchlines.

Elayna Black vs Mara Sade

Collar and elbow tie up, running each other into ropes before Elayna tries to take advantage of the break, Mara turns it around but then Elayna finds a spot to hit her own chop. They’re both throwing a lot of personality and countering the others stuff. It’s basic but not offensive. Elayna dodges a Plancha, but Mara catches herself which is clever, but then Elayna trips her on the apron and she crashes down. So both are showing clever spots. Chop into a Rope Bounce Stomp for a near fall.

Elayna connects with a Fun Splash into the ropes, then kicks Mara in the face multiple times before goading the crowd and peppering in Elbows before a near fall. Elayna gets a Bow and Arrow locked in, with Mara fighting through it. Mara throws a few punches into Lariats, and a Slingblade. Mara is  on a roll, Springboard Crossbody from Mara for two. Mara wanted a Double Arm DDT, but it’s blocked, Mara ole’s Elayna’s charge, Dropkicks her to the outside and throws her back in after the Plancha. Missile Dropkick for good measure and Mara is in full control.

Elayna finds an avenue to stop Mara’s offense with a DDT. She powders and grabs a chair. During the referee taking the chair, she uses the knuckles she had hidden, lays out Mara and wins the match.

Honestly okay match, and the BS finish means there’s a chance to get more out of it. They seem to work well together.

Audio issues continue to plague this show and TNA Live events in general. Kaz and Elijah is an okay King’s Speech segment. Elijah does like these mid promo cutaways, which is funny yet hampered because of audio issues. Devolves into Kaz basically just title mogging him, then AJ Francis chucks Home Town Man off the stage into the audience level and Elijah goes to check on him in typical babyface fashion.

TNA X Division Championship: Nic Nemeth w/Ryan vs Leon Slater (c)

Nic with a quick Head and Arm cradle for a near fall and a few quick amateur wrestling spots. Leon tries to fight back, the wrist tape to the face shortcut from Nic, before Leon Dropkicks Nic out of the ring, Dives, rolls Nic back in and Ryan trips up Leon on the way back in so Nic hits the FAMEasser for a near fall. Nic follows up with the Boot Lace Rake and moving into deliberate pacing with shortcuts, thumb to the eye, measure Leon as he stumbles for a Dropkick and another near fall before the commercial kicks in.

Coming back from commercial Leon counters the Irish Whip straight into the turnbuckle and Nic goes crashing. Leon runs the ropes, takes Nic’s Head off, Spiderman Rebound Leg Lariat for a nearfall. Leon goes to the top, Nic hits the ropes to crash Leon and big Implant DDT for a two count. Leon slow to get up, Danger Zone almost, Lethal Injection counter, almost, Nic runs into Leon and Leon catches him with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count.

Leon heads back to the buckles, 450 nope, Superkick nope, Rewind Mule nope, FAMEasser, but Leon grabs him, hangs him and Styles Clash. Leon goes to the top, 450 but eats the knees! Nemeth locks in the Rear Naked Choke. Leon turns it into a near fall so Nic has to break it for a second, he tries to reapply but Leon drops back to break the hold. Leon fires up, kicks off Ryan, charges and eats a Superkick! Only a two count though. Nic shoves Leon into the corner, perches him. Wants the Superplex, but Leon counters with an Avalanche Final Cut.

Swanton 450, and Leon retains.

Eric Young attacks Leon after the match, Piledrivers him on the outside and then poses with the title before what is probably the last commercial break of the night since Mike Santana needs to talk.

Santana wants Maclin reinstated, sexy SUIT heel shows up and says “Fuck you, but its a good idea”. So she agrees to reinstate Maclin and then Santino makes the match for Sacrifice. Santana is happy but says it’s on sight, and commentary is flabbergasted because they gave Maclin what he wanted.

Overall Score: 5.5/10

While the title matches had no suspension of disbelief, all the correct people went over. The tag team 4 way was haptic but solid with the correct winner. I don’t like Leon but beating Nic is correct. The Elegantos were a decent joke spot for the Legend + crowd interaction moment. Elijah with a new cutaway interview gimmick could be great if mic’d correctly. Lish cheerleading Moose in some cuckhold ass beating angle is hilariously embarassing for the time we live in. But I would still prefer that over Lish doing the obvious thing by turning on Moose when it gets to Eddie’s turn to get his ass beat.

Lastly, Maclin proves that complaining gets you everything. So hooray for negative reinforcement!

Still an okay show honestly. Decent matches, nothing really dragged the pace down.
