WWE 205 Live gets pretty, and tough!

Between NXT and 205 Live, Tony Nese continues to struggle. Can he make a comeback at the expense of Prince Pretty, Tyler Breeze?

Tyler Breeze VS Tony Nese!

Not only does the Premier Athlete want to rebound from being winless in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament, he wants payback on Prince Pretty for way back in January! Breeze beat Nese on his first night in 205 Live, will Nese make this Breeze’s last night?

The bell rings and Nese circles with Breeze. They tie up, Nese gets around and pushes Breeze away. Nese flexes but the crowd boos. Breeze shrugs it off, ties up with Nese again, but Nese puts him in a corner. Breeze turns things around but they end up in another corner. Nese grinds his forearm sin but Breeze turns it around again. Breeze lets up and circles with Nese again. The crowd cheers as the two tie up. Breeze waistlocks, Nese standing switches but Breeze switches back to hammerlock, snapmare and chinlock. Nese reaches for ropes but Breeze keeps him away. Nese fights his way up but Breeze wrangles him back down. Breeze drops a leg and covers, ONE! Breeze is on Nese with another chinlock but Nese fights his way up. Nese powers Breeze to ropes but the ref counts. Nese whips but Breeze sunset flips. Nese rolls through to mule KICK Breeze down! Cover, TWO!

Nese rains down left hands but the crowd boos. Nese lets up to go after Breeze in a corner. He stomps a premier mudhole in but backs off. Breeze gets up and Nese is on him with a scoop and slam! Cover, TWO! Nese is right on Breeze with the squeeze! Breeze endures the body scissors but the fans rally up. Breeze pries at the hold but Nese clamps on with a chinlock. Nese digs his fingers in and the ref reprimands. Nese lets up but Breeze rains down rights! Breeze gets free but Nese throat chops! Nese brings Breeze up to bulldog hotshot! Nese springboards for the PREMIER TRIANGLE but it FLOPS as Breeze moves! The crowd rallies again and Breeze rallies with forearms. Breeze mule kicks and dropkicks! Nese goes to a corner but Breeze runs in for a big forearm smash!

Breeze whips, Nese reverses but Breeze kicks him away. Breeze runs but Nese table tops him! And now the PREMIER TRIANGLE! Cover, TWO! Breeze survives and the crowd cheers. Nese grits his teeth as he gets to his feet. He drags Breeze up and to the Alabama lift. Breeze flails to sunset flip, TWO! Breeze mule kicks, scoops and hits a BIG ENDING! Cover, TWO! Breeze borrowing Big E’s move wasn’t enough but he goes to a corner. Breeze climbs but Nese SHORYUKENS him down! Nese runs side to side, for the PREMIER KN- No! Breeze escapes, trips Nese up, and SLAMS the leg into the post! Nese hobbles away and Breeze hooks him for a Half Crab! Nese endures as Breeze sits on the hold! Nese reaches, crawls, and gets the ropebreak!

Breeze lets up and Nese gets himself out of the ring. Nese hobbles around more as Breeze goes to the apron. Breeze leaps to forearm Nese down! Breeze drags Nese up and into the ring and brings him up in a waistlock. German Suplex but Nese lands on his feet! DOUBLE STOMP! But the leg slows Nese down to the cover, TWO! Nese tries to get that bad knee working as he goes to a corner. Nese climbs up and leaps, but Breeze catches him! Nese fights free and runs, into a SPINE BUSTER! Breeze rolls Nese into the URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! Breeze still hasn’t put Nese away, even after bringing out some new moves. Breeze gets to his feet and tries a classic. He chicken wings and turns Nese, but Nese shoves and back elbows! PREMIER KNEE!! Cover, Nese wins!

Winner: Tony Nese, by pinfall

The former Cruiserweight Champion finds some redemption! Nese gets a tough fought win over Breeze, but will he keep going on this comeback tour?

Danny Burch VS Tehuti Miles!

The One Two wants after the NXT Tag Team Championships, but for now, the Govenah goes solo. Will his decades of experience trump the young upstart’s swagger in this first-ever match-up?

The bell rings and Burch circles with Miles. They approach but Miles dodges Burch to style his hair. Miles and Burch approach and tie up, and Miles gets around to push Burch to the ropes. Burch keeps his cool as Miles eggs him on. Burch rushes Miles but Miles bails out to get a breather. Burch says he’ll make it easy and hold the ropes open. Miles tells Burch to back off, and then Miles returns. The two circle and tie up and Miles waistlocks. Miles trips Burch, walks all over him, then styles his hair again. Miles checks on Burch but Burch JABS him from the mat! Burch headlocks and hits a takeover, and holds Miles down. Miles kicks around but Burch traps an arm to punch away on Miles’ face! Miles gets his arm free but Burch still has his head. The two stand as Miles works on the hold.

Miles powers out but Burch runs him over! Burch runs, Miles drops down then jumps up, but gets caught out of the air! The crowd fires up for Burch as he throws a HARD EuroUpper! And another! Burch brings Miles up from the ropes to CLUB him on the back. Burch puts Miles in the corner with another uppercut. Miles holds his head while Burch paces and glares. Burch drags Miles up and bumps him off buckles. Burch CHOPS Miles and CLUBS him in the chest. Burch stomps away on Miles but the ref counts. Burch backs off at 4 and Miles gasps for air. Miles throws Burch out of the ring but Burch is up quick. Miles dropkicks Burch down! The ring count climbs as Miles catches his breath in the ring. Miles goes out to fetch Burch and put him in the ring. Cover, ONE, but Miles hammers away from all sides! Miles is giving back the hits with the ground ‘n’ pound, but he stops himself to bring down the suspender straps.

Miles CLUBS Burch then stomps away, also in return for earlier. The ref backs Miles off and Burch headbutts low. Burch throws body shots but Miles clubs him again. Miles turns Burch and brushes his hair to hit the neckbreaker! Cover, TWO! Miles clamps onto Burch and thrashes him about but the crowd rallies up. Burch endures as Miles mocks the “old man.” Burch fights his way up but Miles knees low. Miles turns Burch again, for another swaggering neckbreaker! Cover, TWO! Miles grabs Burch by his ears and toys with him now. Miles wraps the chinlock on again but Burch still endures. The crowd rallies up again as Burch fights his way up. Burch uses a jawbreaker to get free, and a right hand to DECK Miles! And again! Burch spins Miles for uppercuts then a whip. Miles reverses but runs into a boot! Burch hops up and leaps to missile dropkick!

The crowd fires up again as Burch runs in to corner clothesline and enziguri! To a GERMAN SUPLEX! Burch LARIATS Miles down but he’s just firing up! Miles flops out of the ring but Burch pursues. Burch drags Miles up and puts him in the ring, but Miles dodges the hand to roll Burch up! Miles has hold of the tights! Miles wins?!?

Winner: Tehuti Miles, by pinfall

The crowd boos and Burch protests, but the referee can’t call what he didn’t see. Miles wins by the seat of Burch’s pants, but is this just the start of something bigger?

My Thoughts:

What a surprising episode. It was still very short at 26 minutes, but with equally good matches. I personally would’ve moved Nese VS Breeze to the main event, but it seems there were planning quite the shocker with that Tehuti Miles win. Nese was definitely winning tonight because of his lose streak for the sake of Drake Maverick’s story on NXT, and because he lost last time to Jack Gallagher. Nese and Gallagher definitely need a rematch that either is an entire episode or at least helps push these episodes past 30 minutes again. Breeze, sadly, just seems to be in the “good hand” territory that helps other superstars in their stories. Burch VS Miles was really good, and it was actually pretty brilliant for Miles to win with controversy. I don’t know if WWE has a plan for Miles, but I feel like he and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott should team up because they’re very similar in presentation and swagger.
