It’s a Bollywood Ever-Rise crossover!

Ever-Rise and the Bollywood Boyz called a truce, and are combining their forces against the 205 Live OG, Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari! Will it be a Bollywood blockbuster or major flop?

The Premier Athlete and Persian Lion are always ready to team up, but they’re up against a rather odd combination. The hatchet has been buried, but will Ever-Rise’s mouth and the Bollywood Boyz’s leading man be able to get along as a team?

The teams sort out and Nese starts against Sunil. Sunil and Nese circle, tie up, and Nese gets around to waistlock. Sunil standing switches,  Nese drop toeholds free then floats to a facelock. Sunil slips out to hammerlock but Nese fights up to back Sunil to an open corner. Sunil lets go, Nese whips him corner to corner. Sunil goes up and over, arm-drags Nese down then clamps onto the arm! Marthel cheers with the fans but Nese headscissors. Sunil pops free and arm-drags Nese again! Nese gets up, Sunil wrenches, clamps on again, but Nese powers Sunil to a corner! Nese puts Sunil up top, Sunil lets go and then boots Nese!

Nese scowls at the “Bolly, Bolly, Bolly!” but Sunil leaps over him! Sunil tilt-o-whirls to a crucifix but Nese pops him up to a fireman’s carry! Sunil turns that into a cradle, ONE! Sunil arm-drags yet again! Sunil is on the arm, tags in Marthel, and they hand off the wrench. Marthel YANKS on the arm, and again, then wrenches. Nese pulls hair and knees low! Tag to Daivari, they mug Marthel and Daivari throws hands. Daivari CHOPS Marthel on ropes then talks trash on the “piece of garbage” while firing off hands! Daivari whips. marthel reverses and CLOBBERS Daivari! Marthel drags Daivari up, tags to Sunil, and they throw hands! Marhtle runs, Daivari dodges, and Marthel runs into Sunil!

Daivari pounces on Sunil and drags him to the corner, tag to Nese. Nese stomps Sunil then toys with him. Nese mocks the Bollywood chant, CHOPS Sunil in the corner, then tags Daivari back in. The “Premier Dinero” double whip and double elbow Sunil down! Cover, ONE! Daivari turns Sunil for a neckbreaker! Tag to Nese, they drag Sunil up and double suplex him high and hard! Cover, TWO! Nese wraps Sunil in a rear bearhug, but Sunil endures and fights his way up. Sunil reaches but Nese SLAMS him to the mat! Nese grinds Sunil down but Marthel reaches. Sunil elbows Nese and gets free, but Nese reels him back in to tag Daivari!

Daivari and Nese double whip, Sunil kicks Daivari away then throws Nese out! Sunil leaps but Daivari catches him! Daivari pushes Sunil away, Sunil dodges, hot tag to Marthel! Marthel rallies on Daivari with DOUBLE CHOPS! Marthel whips and dropkicks Daivari, then TOSSES Nese! Nese runs into an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Marthel whips Daivari corner to corner, and gets him with an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly on the rebound! Daivari staggers around, Marthel fireman’s carries him but Daivari rakes eyes to get free! Marthel still kicks low to hit a DDT! Cover, TWO! Marthel drags Daivari over and whips him to a corner, then tags in Sunil.

Sunil whips Marthel, Marthel whips Sunil, BIG forearm into Daivari, to the drop toehold! Sunil climbs up, for a MACHO ELBOW! Cover, but Nese breaks it! Marthel returns to clothesline Nese out of the ring! Sunil and Marthel coordinate again as they tag, and they double suplex Daivari. Nese attacks, Daivari gets around on Marthel, INVERTED DDT! Cover, but Sunil breaks it! Nese runs at Sunil, slides and trips him up to throw him out into barriers! Daivari gets his gold chain! Marthel ROCKS Nese, Daivari swings on Marthel! Marthel dodges, the ref sees the chain! Marthel rolls Daivari up as the ref is busy with the chain, but Nese PREMIER KNEES Marthel!! Cover, Daivari & Nese win!

Well, it wasn’t that #BollyRise didn’t work as a team, it was that Nese & Daivari were too good as one! Samir and Chase Parker return to try and sort this out. Will they go back to the drawing board and see if a different combination can make it work?

Jake Atlas VS August Grey!

While the Persian Lion stuck his nose in last time, and then snaked the win from both these young Cruiserweight stars, it’s time for things to go as planned! Will the strength of El Monte or #RetroAG take the win now that it’s 1v1?

The bell rings and Grey circles with Atlas. They tie up, go around, and Atlas gets around to a waistlock. Grey headlocks but Atlas squeezes on the waistlock. Atlas drags Grey down but Grey fights up to hit a headlock takeover! Atlas keeps his shoulders up, pries Grey off with a leg but Grey pops out of the headscissors to hit another headlock takeover! Atlas rolls Grey to a cover, TWO! Grey holds on, Atlas powers up, but Grey holds on tight. Atlas pries free to wrangle Grey down with a keylock! Grey moves around as Atlas shifts on the armlock. Fans rally, Grey rolls and fights up to wrench and clamp onto Atlas. Atlas moves around, Grey holds tight, but Atlas puts Grey against ropes.

The ref counts for the break and Atlas lets off at 4. Atlas and Grey reset, circle again and approach. Atlas gets around to a waistlock then a headlock, then a cravat! Grey endures as Atlas cranks and thrashes, but Grey powers up. Atlas holds on tight as Grey tries to power out, and Atlas brings Grey down to the mat. Grey fights up, throws Atlas but Atlas holds on tight! Atlas cranks on the cravat harder, but Grey fights up again. Grey scoops and slams but Atlas holds on to snapmare! Atlas has a mounted cravat and wants a cover, TWO! Grey bridges out of that, but Atlas pushes him back down. TWO, Grey gets to his feet and throws Atlas again! Atlas still holds on!

Grey fights up, breaks free and pushes Atlas to a corner. Atlas goes up and over but so does Grey! Atlas blocks the hip toss to make it a backslide, TWO! Both men are still locked, they get back up, and Grey looks to get control of the backslide! Atlas fights it off, Grey drops to sunset flip instead! TWO, Grey avoids the Penalty Kick and Standing Moonsault and the fans cheer as the two stand off! Grey’s a bit surprised Atlas tried to kick his head off but Atlas says that’s what they do here, they fight! Grey says he’s ready for a fight, and the two fist bump out of respect, before firing off fast hands! Double haymakers, then back and forth! Fans fire up as they get faster and faster!

Atlas dodges, dropkicks a leg out, then AX KICKS to the back! Atlas drags Grey up, suplexes, but Grey slips out waistlock. Atlas breaks free to ripcord and NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Atlas keeps his cool, drags Grey back up, and CHOPS him! Atlas puts Grey on ropes and CHOPS him again! Grey is stinging, Atlas is on him, and whips him around to ropes. Grey RANAS back, and then trips to cover, ONE! Grey avoids the sweeps with some handsprings and dropkicks Atlas down! Atlas goes to a corner, Grey runs in and CHOPS him! Grey gives some of that stinging back, and CHOPS Atlas again! Grey whips corner to corner, Atlas reverses but Grey counters to a BULLDOG! Cover, TWO!

Grey keeps his cool as he looms over Atlas. Atlas rolls to ropes, Grey follows, and Grey brings Atlas up to CHOP him again! Atlas goes to a corner, but he puts Grey in to CHOP back! Grey turns things around, Atlas dodges to CHOP again! Both men are stinging, Grey mule kicks Atlas and ROCKS him with a right! Grey brings Atlas up, bumps him off buckles, then whips him, only for Atlas to block. Atlas ROCKS Grey with the elbow then BOOTS him down! Elbow drop, cover, TWO! Atlas is growing frustrated with Grey but gets him back up. Atlas whips, Grey reverses but Atlas reverses to KICK away on Grey’s chest! PENALTY KICK, STANDING MOONSAULT! The combo hits this time but Grey is out at ONE!

Atlas EuroUppers over and over, then GERMAN SUPLEXES! Grey flounders to a corner, Atlas runs in to ROCK him with that forearm! Grey staggers, Atlas goes up, but Grey avoids the cartwheel! Grey swings, Atlas blocks and spins Grey to CLOBBER him! Cover, TWO!! Grey still survives and Atlas is growing further frustrated. Atlas drags Grey up, but Grey shoves him away to ROCK him again! SUPERKICK! CLOTHESLINE and Atlas goes out! Grey DIVES and sends Atlas into commentary! Grey hurries to put Atlas in and climbs up top. Grey walks the tightrope, for the CROSSBODY! Cover, Grey wins!!

But Daivari and Nese return to CLOBBER both Grey and Atlas?! The OG are throwing the new wave around, and Nese whips Atlas into steel steps! Daivari STOMPS Grey down and then both he and Nese stand tall. Daivari tops it off with the LION’S LARIAT to Grey!! Nese is the only one applauding as Daivari says this is THEIR show. A win and a mauling all in the same night, will the purple ‘n’ orange always belong to Premier Dinero?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode, with some really good blending of things tonight. WWE social media has more on the truce between Ever-Rise and Bollywood Boyz, but it works that the first time out, the mixing and matching doesn’t work. I hope we get a “rematch” where now Samir and Parker will team against Nese and Daivari, only to still fail. Then we can try Samir and Marthel, or Parker and Sunil, then the other combination. Only after all four possible combinations have failed should the two teams realize they don’t need a truce, and then they have a great tag blow off. Atlas VS Grey was a very good showing from both, and I’m surprised Grey won that.

It was also a little surprising that Daivari and Nese felt the need to beat them up, but I suppose it works that they hate being upstaged. I said last week that I expect Daivari & Nese VS Grey & Atlas, so that is being made even more likely. There should basically be a Cruiserweight Tag Team exclusive tournament or series or something, best team gets an NXT tag title shot over the summer. Depending on how Escobar VS Kross goes as a feud, the tag series can keep a lot of people busy with the title tied up in a non-title feud. I still say Curt Stallion should’ve won on NXT to bring that title away from a story that can’t even be for the title.
