QUICK NOTES

The Acclaimed are definitely going to win tonight, but I wonder what kind of rap Caster has in store for “Pretty” Peter and the Hollywood Hunk. Parker Boudreaux, formerly Harland in NXT, is making his AEW debut, so surely someone will make jokes about his WWE gimmick soon enough. Maybe The Factory will scout him, too, just like they have Cole Karter. Also turns out Karter joined The Factory after all, even though that seemed way to easy and quick.

7/23/22, Revolution Pro-Wrestling Summer Sizzler, All-Atlantic Championship: PAC VS Connor Mills!

The Bastard continues his tour, and he’s returned to Rev-Pro to take on the True Grit of London! Will Pac continue his inaugural reign? Or will he underestimate Mills in Manchester?

Fans rally as Pac eggs Mills on. Mills eggs Pac on in return, but the ref has them back down. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and one way or another, we’re about to see a sizzler!

Fans sing, “Pac is gonna kill~ you!” and then chant “BAS~TARD!” The bell finally rings, Pac rushes in but Mills dodges! Mills BOOTS Pac in the corner! Mills whips corner to corner, run sin and DROPKICKS Pac down! Mills stands Pac up to KICK and KICK away at the ropes! Mills lets off, fans boo but Mills whips to kitchen sink knee! And then PENALTY KICK! Cover, ONE!! Pac scrambles out and fans rally up. Mills storms over but Pac shoulders in. Fans chant “Let’s Go, Pac!” and Pack slingshots up and over. Pac keeps moving but Mills BOOTS! Mills runs but Pac BOOTS! Pac then reels Mills in, but Mills suplexes to a BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!!

Pac bails out again but Mills goes out the side. Mills storms up on Pac but Pac kicks low. Pac headlocks but Mills blocks the apron bump. Mills kicks low, bumps Pac off apron then puts Pac in the ring. Fans rally and taunt Mills, but Mills shakes his head. Mills springboards to FLYING UPPERCUT! Then he QUEBRADAS! Cover, TWO! Pac bails out again and shakes out the cobwebs. Fans rally for “A E DUB!” but Mills ASAI MOONSAULTS Pac down! Mills shakes the railing and he puts Pac in the ring. Fans boo as Mills climbs up again. Mills wants Pac to stand, and Pac does stand, to turn around and spring right up after Mills!

Pac brings Mills up the corner, but Mills throws body shots! Mills shoves Pac, but Pac backflips to land on his feet! Mills leaps to missile dropkick! Cover, TWO! That Pac-esque missile dropkick could not take out Pac himself, but fans still rally for “British Wrestling!” Pac bails out, Mills pursues again, and Mills has Pac by the beard at the ramp. Mills puts Pac in, hurries after Pac, but Pac wants a timeout! Mills can’t believe this is The Bastard, Pac. Mills talks trash but Pac kicks the legs out! Pac KICKS the leg out and Mills falls over! Pac stomps Mills, has him in a corner and BOOTS him! Mills staggers away, Pac digs his boots in at the ropes!

The ref counts, Pac lets off at 4 and Mills bails out. Fans rally up while Pac goes out to fetch Mills. Pac SMACKS Mills off the apron, and he hears the fans rallying up for him. Pac hushes the crowd, gives them the OK, and then he brings Mills to the ramp. Pac brings Mills right up the stairs and to the stage! Pac ROCKS Mills, fans fire up and Pac scoops, to TOMBSTONE Mills on the stage!! Fans fire up while Pac leaves Mills behind! The ring count starts, fans chant, “YOU’RE A BASTARD!” but Pac just sits and waits in a corner. The count is 5 of 10 as Mills finally stirs on the stage. Mills slowly sits up but we’re at 8! He stumbles at 9, and slides in at 9.99!!

Pac is furious about the count but the ref says it was fair. Pac stomps Mills around, fans rally for “A E DUB!” and Pac stomps Mills again! Pac goes to the corner, to the ropes, and he jumps for a DIVING KNEE DROP! Pac then hits a SHEER DROP BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Mills survives and shakes his head. Pac snarls and watches Mills sit up. Pac tells fans to stop singing that crap, or he’ll come get them, too! Pac bumps Mills off buckles, then tosses him out of the ring. Pac has Mills against railing to CHOP him! Pac then brings Mills around with a headlock, and he seems to spot the man with the box on his head. Is that Kip Sabian or not?

Pac SMACKS Mills off the apron, then puts Mills in the ring. Pac then stalks Mills along the ropes, and eggs him on. Mills slowly sits up and he grabs at Pac, but Pac swats his hands away. Pac waits on Mills to get up, but Mills throws body shots! Pac slingshot CUTTERS him for it! Cover, TWO!! Mills is showing toughness but Pac is just annoyed by it. Pac dares the fans to get in the ring if they’re so tough! Pac then STOMPS Mills down! Mills kicks from below but Pac stomps him again. Fans sing, “That’s the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, I like~ it! Uh-huh, uh-huh!” Pac eggs them on so they keep singing. Pac then lines up a shot and KNEES Mills back down!

Fans rally and sing and Pac eggs Mills on. Mills rises, Pac whips him to a corner hard, and Mills flips and hits buckles upside-down! Pac goes outside to get in the face of Not Kip! Fans fire up and chant for Kip, but the man in the box just stays put. Pac goes back to the ring, Mills HEEL KICKS him down!! Mills fires up but he’s on wobbly legs! Mills still runs in to fire a forearm! Pac gives it back, Mills hits again! Pac ROCKS Mills but Mills keeps hitting back! They go back and forth as fans sing and rally again. Mills gets the edge with shot after shot! Mills ROCKS Pac, roars and runs, but Pack sidesteps to SNAP GERMAN!

But Mills is up, yoyos and LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Pac survives but Mills gets up. Fans chant at Schrodinger’s Kip, “Take the Box Off!” so we know who it really is. Pac gets out of the ring, Mills gets up and he hurries to the apron! ASAI, but Pac dodges to SUPERKICK! Pac puts Mills back in, reels him in, and hits a LIGER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mills survives and Pac is frustrated. Fans rally up again and Pac stands up. Mills flounders, Pac drags him into a drop zone, and Pac goes up top. Pac aims, but Mills slowly rolls away. Pac sighs, adjusts his position and SPRINGBOARD 450 FLOPS as Mills moves! Mills hurries up top to 450 SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!!

Mills hurries to get Pac up, suplex, X PLEX PENALTY KICK!! Cover, TWO!! Fans fire up while Mills is beside himself. Pac and Mills go to opposite ends as the standing count climbs. Both men stand at 6 of 10, and Mills storms over. Pac elbows Mills away, then he storms up on Mills to SOBAT! And front kick! And SOBAT again! Pac runs, but Mills BOOTS him! Mills runs, but Pac SUPERKICKS again! Pac roars and runs again, but Mills follows to QUEBRADA into an ENZIGURI! Mills flounders, Pac slingshots from the apron, but Mills catches him to a torture rack! BURNING HAMMER CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!?!?

Mills can’t believe it but this toughness is why Pac is champion at all! Fans rally behind Mills and he gets back up. Mills drags Pac to a drop zone and he goes up top. Pac hurries up after him, though, but Mills CLUBS Pac down. Mills adjusts, but Pac springs up to GAMANGIRI! Pac then goes up after Mills to bring him up, for the SUPER BRAINBUSTER!!! Fans lose their minds over that one and Mills is back in a drop zone! Pac hurries back up top, and fans fire up for the BLACK ARROW!! Cover, Pac wins!

Winner: PAC, by pinfall (still AEW All-Atlantic Champion)

Mills showed that True Grit, but it was not enough to take this title! The Bastard remains golden, but where will he take this title next?

My Thoughts:

I didn’t know the All-Atlantic Championship was part of this episode so that was a great little surprise. And a great match, too, with Mills really showing that for 23 years old, he can hold his own in the ring. But of course Pac retains. And it seems that while Miro and Malakai Black are figuring their thing out, it could be Kip Sabian as Pac’s first real feud for this title. Or whoever is in the box, as commentary was teasing. Honestly, I’ve been waiting to see when and how Kip finally returns, him getting a title match in his home country of England would be a great way to do that.
