Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks were goaded on into having a rematch for these titles, but will they go 2-0? Or will Fox, Dante & Darius catch the champs in a trap game?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if this is really a slam dunk!

The trios sort out, and we start with Dante and Nick. Nick still has a basketball and he passes to Dante. Dante passes back, Nick passes back, repeat. The ref says to put the ball away, but Nick wants a tip off. Dante agrees, the ref takes the ball and throws it up, and Dante gets it easy! But he lands into an atomic drop! Nick whips, Dante rolls, then passes the ball. nick gives it back, Dante flips and DROPKICKS! Then he hits Omega with the ball! Nick CLUBS Dante, tags Matt, Matt throws the ball but Dante ducks so Nick gets hit in the head! Matt runs in, Dante dodges and Darius kicks! Fox kicks! DOUBLE DROPKICK to table top!

Fans fire up while the challengers stand tall. The Elite regroups, but Fox FLIES! Direct hit and the Bucks hit barriers! Fox gets back in, he FLIES to take out Omega at the ramp! Fox hurries back in, he has the ball, and he ALLEY-OOPS to take out the Bucks! Fans fire up as Fox shoots a three. Nick wants a timeout, but there’s no timeouts in wrestling! The Elite regroups with Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa, and then Matt gets back in. Fans chant “DEFENSE!” Fox has the ball, Omega tags in, and fans fire up. Darius holds the ball while Fox and Omega circle. They tie up, Omega headlocks, Fox powers out but Omega runs him over!

Fans fire up, Omega BLASTS Top Flight, and then Omega kicks Fox. Omega bumps Fox off buckles, tag to Nick, and Nick tags Matt. The Elite stomp Fox, get the ball, and pass it around. They keep Fox guessing, then throw it up, to DOUBLE SUPERKICK! And SLAM DUNK! Omega bops Fox with the ball, stomps him and CLUBS him, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Omega stomps Fox, CLUBS him at the ropes, and Omega drags Fox up. Omega brings Fox around to bump off the Bucks’ boots! Omega drags Fox back up, wrenches, tag to Matt. Matt goes up for AX HANDLES! Matt wrenches, tags Nick, and Nick goes up to DUNK the ball! Nick drags Fox up, scoops him, and SLAMS him! Nick then runs to stomp Fox down! Nick drags Fox up, brings him around, and scoops for a GUTBUSTER! Matt runs in, NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Nick drags Fox back up, puts him in the corner and RAMS into him! Nick lets off to taunt Top Flight, and Rampage returns to single picture.

Nick SHINING WIZARDS, GAMANGIRIS, FOREARMS and BULLDOGS! Then he BLASTS the corner! The ref keeps Darius out, Nick runs at Fox to KICK, but Fox ENZIGURIS! Fans fire up, Fox runs in but Nick SUPERKICKS! Nick goes up, Fox ROCKS him to ICONOCLASM and a drag through to the CUTTER! Both men are down and fans fire up! Hot tags to Omega and Dante! Dante CLOBBERS Omega over and over! Dante gets around, atomic drop and a toss! Dante then DIVES! Direct hit and Omega hits barriers! Dante puts Omega in, goes up top, CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Dante BLASTS the Bucks, Omega CHOPS Dante!

Omega brings Dante in, SNAP DRAGON- NO, Dante lands on his feet! ENZIGURI! Matt tags in, but he runs into a DROPKICK! Tag to Darius and he runs in to clothesline Matt and Omega! Dante adds on, then Fox runs in! Fox hits Omega, Matt runs into a SPANSIH FLY! Fox skins the cat to dropkick Omega! Dante is up top, with the ball, and he BASEMETN DROPKICK SLAM DUNK COMBOS! Fox is up top, 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Fox can’t believe it but Laredo rallies up. Tag to Darius and he reels Matt in. “This is Awesome!” but Nick trips Dante! Matt kicks Darius, Nick trips Fox. Matt gets Darius up, BUCKLE BOMB ENZIGURI COMBO!!

Matt drags Darius back up, puts him on the ropes with Omega’s help, but Dante ROCKS Omega! Omega rakes Dante’s eyes! Omega puts Dante in the ropes now! Fans fire up as Nick aims at both, DOUBLE SWANTON BOMB!! Cover, Fox breaks it up!! Nick throws Fox out hard! Tag to Omega and Omega aims, BANG! Omega runs but Dante springboards! FLYING LARIAT! Nick SUPERKICKS Dante! Darius PELES Nick! Matt swings, spins Darius, STANDING SLICED BREAD! Fox BOOTS Matt! fox goes Matrix to avoid Omega and Nick, DOUBLE LARIATS! Fox goes Matrix again but Matt hits a CUTTER!!

Laredo is thunderous as Matt throws body shots and haymakers on Fox in the corner! The ref reprimands, Matt lets off to whip corner to corner. Matt runs in but into an elbow! fox goes up and up, QUEBRADA into TRIPLE SUPERKICKS!! The Elite fire up and fans fire up with them! Nick goes up and up, ESCALARA TORNILLO onto Fox & Dante! V-TRIGGER to Darius, then Electric Chair, ONE WINGED ANGEL!! Cover, The Elite win!

Rampage is off to a hot start, but wait! The lights turn off! And when they come back, THE HOUSE OF BLACK is there!! Malakai Black & Brody King watch from the stage, the fans go nuts, and then the lights turn back off! When the lights are up again, the House is gone. Will The Elite #FadeToBlack come Revolution?

Backstage interview with The Gunns.

Lexi Nair is with Austin & Colten, saying they are “marked men.” At Revolution, they will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships in a Fatal 4 Way! Not just The Acclaimed, but the winner of two battle royals. How will they contend against those teams? The Gunns laugh, and Colten says, “Listen, Renee. This is so typical of The Acclaimed. They never wanna do any work. They don’t have to win any battle royals, they just put themselves in? That is unreal.” Austin says, “And that’s if The Acclaimed even make it to Revolution. As it goes for the other two tag teams, we don’t care. Me and Colten are at the top of this division! So Lex, welcome to the Gunn Show!”

The Ass Boys are very confident, but will their odds significantly go down after seeing who joins them at Revolution?

Mark Henry has a sit-down interview with Orange Cassidy.

The World’s Strongest Man says Freshly Squeezed is “on one of the hottest streaks in AEW history. 18 wins in a row, you defended your title in the main event on Rampage last week.” But then in walks Wheeler Yuta, and he points out that he won last week, too. Yuta says the best thing he ever did is leave Cassidy & Best Friends behind to join the Blackpool Combat Club. Now he rolls with three of the baddest dudes on the planet who can teach him more than Cassidy ever could. “You let Chuck treat me like a clown, and then you replaced me with a literal clown. You let Trent bully me, but now I am the bully.”

Yuta says he has worked so hard, put himself through so much pain, shed so much blood, sweat and tears, that now he is the ROH Pure Champion. But Cassidy doesn’t even care, and that offends Yuta. Yuta will take that title from Cassidy, if he’s got the guts. Cassidy says Yuta is right. Cassidy didn’t teach Yuta anything, he wasn’t there to teach. Cassidy was there to be a friend. But clearly, they’re not anymore. So if Yuta wants the title, he can come take it. Yuta plans on it. When and where will The Decoder fight his former mentor and friend?

Ricky Starks VS Daniel Garcia!

The Absolute is absolutely determined to get another match with Chris Jericho, because his one win over The Ocho doesn’t outweigh everything the Jericho Appreciation Society has done since. Will Starks get through the Dragonslayer to go after The Wizard? Or will he fail to even get even here tonight?

The bell rings, Garcia mocks Starks’ air guitar but Laredo is on Starks’ side. Starks and Garcia step to each other, talk some trash, and Garcia pie faces Starks. Fans boo but Starks ROCKS Garcia! Starks fires off hands and fans fire up! Starks stomps away, the ref counts and Starks lets off, mocking Garcia now. Garcia staggers, Starks DECKS him! Starks whips, back drops, and then stands over Garcia! Fans fire up, Starks brings Garcia up and whips, only for Garcia to hold ropes to block. Garcia kicks low, CHOPS, then whips. Starks CLOBBERS Garcia, rains down fists, but lets off as the ref counts.

Fans fire up as Starks stands Garcia up to wrench and wristlock. Starks goes up the corner, and fans cheer as he goes Old School! Fans fire up as Starks poses, and then goes to the corner. Starks runs corner to corner, Garcia puts him on the apron but Starks ROCKS him! Starks steps in but Garcia gets the leg! DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Garcia runs to BLAST Starks off the apron! Garcia soaks up the heat while Starks is down, and Rampage goes picture in picture!

Garcia goes out after Starks, stands him up, and brings him around to SMASH the bad knee against the steel steps! Starks writhes and goes to barriers while Garcia mockingly applauds. Garcia CLUBS Starks on the back, brings him around again and talks trash to the fans. Garcia puts Starks in the ring and wags his finger at fans thinking they were gonna get another barrier bump. Starks stands, and he fires hands on Garcia! Garcia dropkicks the bad leg out! Stars grabs at Garcia’s leg and punches away, but Garcia CLUBS Starks down! Garcia drags Starks by the bad leg to YANK back on it! Starks still grabs at Garcia and throws body shots.

Garcia CLUBS Starks, stalks him to ropes, and Garcia brings him up in a facelock. Garcia snap suplexes, rolls to a cover, TWO! Garcia stomps away on the bad leg! Starks clutches the knee while Garcia seethes. Garcia looms over Starks now as he crawls to ropes. Starks hobbles up, pushes and kicks Garcia, CLUBS him, then CHOPS! And CHOPS! And stomps! Starks has Garcia in a corner as Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and Starks has Garcia in a corner, then goes to the opposite. Starks runs in, but the leg fails him! Garcia is relieved as he just avoided a Spear. Garcia wants Starks to get up now, fans rally for Starks, and Garcia runs in, into a LARIAT! Both men are down and a standing count starts. Starks crawls at 3, clutching that knee. Garcia stands and runs in, but into an elbow! And then an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Fans fire up and Starks fights through the pain! He reels Garcia in but Garcia RAMS him into the corner! Garcia stomps the bad leg, runs, but Starks picks him up for a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO!

Fans rally up, both men are down but Starks stands again. Starks brings Garcia up but Garcia throat chops! Garcia hits a DRAGON SCREW, but Starks spins through it! Starks stomps away on Garcia! Then he whips Garcia, only for Garcia to reverse, ROCK BOTTOM! Cover, TWO!! Starks survives but Garcia grabs the legs. Garcia steps through, for the DRAGONTAMER!! Starks endures as Garcia puts on the pressure! Starks crawls forward, reaches out, but SAMMY is here to hold the rope back! But then ACTION ANDRETTI is here! He CLOBBERS Sammy, whips him into steel steps, but Sammy tackles Action!

Sammy and Action brawl up the ramp, Action TACKLES Sammy! Fans fire up as Sammy gives hands! Starks gest the ROPEBREAK, and Garcia sees Action run Sammy off. Starks cradles Garcia, TWO!! Starks manages to build speed, AND SPEARS!! Fans fire up with Starks as he goes nuts! Starks brings Garcia up, Canadian Rack, ROSHAMBEAUX!! Cover, Starks wins!!

Action Andretti backed Starks up, but Sammy returns to shout at Tony Khan! Tony’s surely listening, and Sammy says he doesn’t ask for much. He and Jericho need to talk with Tony, Sammy wants a match with that SOB, Action Andretti! “And kid, I’m gonna beat your ass!!” Jericho likes the sound of that, but fans chant “SAMMY SUCKS!” Will the Spanish God get back at Action for doing the right thing?

Evil Uno speaks.

“Did you see what he did? I come up to your face, Jon Moxley. I came toe to toe with you. Next week on Dynamite, you’re getting Evil Uno, Mr. Brodie Lee’s Number One. Jon Moxley, you think you can just come in here and clean house, as if it was nothing? As if I didn’t have a little bit of a history of violence myself! Because Evil Uno is gonna bring back some respect to the Dark Order. And it starts with you, Jon Moxley. No matter what Hangman says, I can go toe-to-toe with you, Jon Moxley. And you will respect me.”

AEW TBS Championship: Jade Cargill w/ Leila Grey VS Vertvixen!

The undefeated streak has reached 52-0 after some battles on Dark and Elevation, and she’s looking to get to 60 before Revolution! Will #ThatBitch be unstoppable? Or will Vert manage to stop the storm here tonight?

The bell rings and the two tie up. Jade puts Vert in a corner, lets off at 4 and knees low! Jade ROCKS Vert, TOSSES her across the way, and says it’s that easy. Leila says Jade’s got five on it, and Jade does her push-ups. Jade gets five, and fans fire up. Jade drags Vert up, whips her to ropes, and BOOTS her down! Jade then chicken wings, carriers Vert around, JADED!! Cover, Jade wins!

And 53-0 was just as easy as those push-ups! Will anyone be able to stop Jade from making untouchable history in AEW?

Mark Henry interviews tonight’s main eventers.

The World’s Strongest Man says Swerve has verbally attacked The Rhodes Family the last few weeks, but can he explain why? Swerve says AEW is making the Rhodes Family the victims when they’re not that innocent. “That’s a grown ass man over there. Matter of fact, this is about respect, and the lack of it that you’ve been showing Swerve and the Mogul Affiliates. Y’know how important respect is for a man like me? For men like us? Men go to war over respect, men DIE for respect! Are you willing to, Dustin? Cuz tonight, you just might have to. Matter of fact, where’s Trench, bruh? I know you’ve got something to do with why he’s not here right now.”

Swerve has been calling for a whole week, but no word from Trench. Dustin tells Swerve, “Nobody gives a damn about Trench. You have to deal with me. You’ve crossed the line talking about my family, and I told you I was gonna drag you to hell. Here’s what’s gonna happen, Swerve: sometimes you have to go to a dark place so that you can see the light. Hell is coming for you, Swerve, and I’m coming with it!” Then it looks like there’s been enough talk. It’s time for the main event! Will the Natural prove AEW is anything but whose house?

Dustin Rhodes VS Swerve Strickland w/ Mogul Affiliates!

Dustin makes his way out with a spare turnbuckle! Parker Boudreaux makes a move but gets CLOBBERED! Dustin then goes to the ring, and the two fire off! The bell rings, Swerve knees low and whips but Dustin reverses to clothesline Swerve up and out! Dustin goes out, ROCKS Swerve, then stalks him around the way. Swerve kicks low but Dustin smacks Swerve off barriers! Dustin CLAWS Swerve’s back, brings Swerve around into the ring, and he storms up on Swerve in a corner. Dustin ROCKS Swerve again, then climbs up! Fans fire up as Dustin rains down fists! They count along to nine, then Dustin takes a deep breath, “SUCK IT!” before TEN!

Fans fire up as Swerve staggers into JAB after JAB after JAB! Dustin fires off, flips, flops ‘n’ flies, but Swerve ROCKS Dustin with a right! Swerve throws more hands, whips, but Dustin reverses, only for Swerve to avoid the powerslam! Dustin avoids the boot to GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans fire up as Dustin stands Swerve up. Dustin waistlocks but Swerve backs him into a corner! The ref counts, and Swerve BITES Dustin’s fingers! The ref reprimands, Swerve stops, then JUMPING SOBATS! Fans boo but Swerve goes tot he apron as Dustin bails out. Swerve BOOTS Dustin down! Fans boo more but Swerve scowls as he looks around.

Swerve runs in at Dustin and he DROPKICKS Dustin into the barriers!! Fans boo but Swerve grins and soaks it all up. The ref starts a ring count, Swerve frowns and goes back to Dustin. Dustin is busted up, Swerve mocks him over it, and kicks him around. Swerve throws down fists on the cut as Rampage goes picture in picture!

Swerve goes all the way to TEN, snapmares Dustin, then goes up the corner for the FALLING UPPERCUT! Swerve covers, TWO! Swerve KICKS Dustin in the back, and he soaks up the heat from the fans. Swerve steps up but Dustin throws body shots. Swerve BOOTS Dustin back down! Swerve clamps on a neck wrench and even stares Dustin down as he twists. Swerve then shifts to have a grip with his elbow and bicep. The fans rally, Dustin endures but Swerve brings him down to the mat. Swerve puts on the pressure, but Dustin fights his way up! Swerve has a sleeper as Rampage returns to single picture.

Dustin throws body shots, he’s free, but he runs into a COMPLETE SHOT! Fans boo but Swerve aims from the corner. Dustin sits up, and he dares Swerve to do something! HOUSE CALL!! Cover, ONE??!? Fans are thunderous and Swerve is shocked! Swerve throws hands but Dustin just feeds off it! Dustin beats his chest, but Swerve BITES Dustin’s forehead! Swerve runs, into the POWERSLAM! Dustin whips Swerve, Swerve reverses but Dustin CLOBBERS him! Dustin rallies with big clotheslines! Dustin kicks, drops, RHODES UPPERCUT! Swerve staggers around, but Dustin reels him in, only for Swerve to break free and ROCK Dustin!

Swerve somersaults, into a BOOT from Dustin! Dustin hops on, CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!!! Dustin and Swerve stand up, Dustin ROCKS Swerve! Swerve BOOTS Dustin! Dustin BOOTS back! Swerve BOOTS again, so Dustin ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE CROSSBODIES! Fans are thunderous as both men flop to the apron, “This is Awesome!” Both men stand up slowly, Dustin ROCKS Swerve and throws more hands! Swerve hits back, they’re brawling, and Swerve fireman’s carries! APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!!! Dustin survives and fans are thunderous again!

Swerve goes to ropes, he climbs up a corner, but Dustin stands to trip him! Dustin ROCKS Swerve, climbs up after him, and hits a SUPERPLEX! Dustin brings Swerve back up, PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!?!? Swerve survives and fans are electric! Dustin pounds the mat, fans rally behind him, and Swerve flounders around. Dustin brings Swerve up, dragon sleepers, but Swerve slips through to jackknife bridge! TWO!! Dustin still has Swerve caught, but Swerve pushes him away. Dustin catches Swerve, CROSS RHODES!! Dustin isn’t done there, he stands Swerve up again for the FINAL RECKONING!! Cover, Parker drags Dustin out!!

Fans boo and Parker is all over Dustin! Parker RAMS Dustin into steel steps!

Parker saved Swerve but Dustin still wins! However, Dustin is still in danger as Parker puts Dustin in the ring and hands off the necklace to Swerve. Swerve punches away on Dustin’s bloody forehead! Security rushes out, but Parker CLOBBERS them! And TOSSES them! And CLOBBERS even more! Fans boo, Swerve has Parker go out and fetch something from under the ring. Parker brings out a CINDERBLOCK! They’re gonna do Dustin like they did to Keith Lee! Parker drags Dustin up and puts his head on the block! Swerve grins as he goes up the corner, but HERE COMES KEITH LEE!!!

The Limitless One is back and Laredo is thunderous! Swerve has seen a ghost, but that’s because Keith has come back to haunt him. Keith sneaks in from behind!! Parker saves Swerve but not for long! Keith fires off hands on them both, then elbows on Parker! HEADBUTT for Parker! Swerve leaps, into Keith’s hands! Parker jumps back in to save Swerve! Swerve runs away, Keith stomps Parker out of the ring! Keith helps Dustin up while Mogul Affiliates retreats! Will Keith and Dustin work together to exact revenge on Swerve and his henchmen by Revolution?

My Thoughts:

A really good Rampage for being on earlier because of the NBA All-Star game. I did like the basketball shenanigans in the Trios title match, but this was obviously just so they could plug TNT covering the All-Star game and get one more defense in before Revolution. However, I do really like that The House of Black is stepping up to be next. I was hoping we’d get a feud of them and The Elite, as I feel like the House of Black is just waiting to have their moment. They lost to Sting, Darby & Miro so long ago, were away and came back but barely did as much with Eddie Kingston & Ortiz as they should have, so maybe getting the titles will kickstart something.

Good promo from The Gunns to spin things onto The Acclaimed like The Acclaimed are the entitled ones. I can’t wait for FTR to come back in the Casino Battle Royal as The Jokers and get right back in the title scene. And good promo from Cassidy and Yuta to revisit their history and have a great All-Atlantic Championship match set up for next week. I’m pretty sure Cassidy retains, but with the ROH TV return happening in just a couple weeks, something has to happen to set up a Pure Championship story for Yuta. Uno had a good promo to add on to what he said from Dynamite, but he’s definitely going to be a tune-up for Moxley.

Starks VS Garcia was a great match, even though a lot of this Starks VS JAS stuff seems like filler to keep things going until Revolution. As for Jade, I feel like her match was shorter than it was meant to be. Commentary did note on Vert landing rough, so maybe they cut to the finish for Vert’s sake. At the same time, Jade is just gonna keep winning and I don’t know how they’re going to make someone believably worthy to take that title. But at least we got Mark Henry having an interview promo with the main eventers again. Dustin and Swerve are great talkers, they’re great wrestlers, and this match was proof of that.

Dustin winning by disqualification was a nice touch, as we can continue to have Dustin in the larger Mogul Affiliates story. Keith Lee being back is great, and he is definitely going to beat Swerve in their 1v1 at Revolution. And there really should be a cinderblock involved in the finish, since Swerve brought it back.
