The teams sort out and Rocky starts against Kaun. They circle, tie up, and Kaun powers Rocky to a corner. The ref counts, Kaun lets off, and he lets Rocky out. The two reset and fans rally up. They tie up again, Kaun puts Rocky in another corner, then swings. Rocky dodges to show punch, but Kaun doesn’t flinch. Rocky shoves Kaun, rolls back, and shows off some Latino Heat. Fans cheer, Kaun storms up but into a SOBAT! Rocky whips, Kaun reverses but Rocky ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Kaun staggers up into a kick, and Rocky tags Trent. Roppongi Vice double whip, double hip toss, and Rocky runs to PENALTY KICK!

Trent sets up, STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, ONE!! Trent tags Chuck and fans fire up as Best Friends double whip and double elbow. They shake hands, then double elbow drop! Fans cheer and Chuck brings Kaun up. Kaun shoves, Chuck BOOTS him away, but Liona creeps up. Chuck stares him down, but turns around into a HAYMAKER from Kaun! Fans fire up as Liona bails out but Brian Cage storms in! Cage trophy lifts Trent but Chuck kicks Cage. Best Friends throw The Machine out, then Rocky and Desperado intercept Kaun and Swerve. Chaos & Desperado throw them out, Trent mule kicks Cage from the apron, and Rocky DIVES! Direct hit and down goes Cage! Desperado DIVES and down goes Swerve! Trent holds the ropes down and Chuck FLIES out onto Liona & Kaun! Trent is up on the corner to SUPER MOONSAULT onto Liona & Kaun! Fans fire up and Nana is furious as Chaos stands tall. Fans rally and duel, Cage whips Trent to a corner. Cage whips Swerve in to uppercut! Cage runs in to uppercut! Kaun runs in to SPLASH! Liona runs in, but Trent dodges! Liona tumbles up and out! Fans fire up for Trent as he crawls but Swerve drags him back. Trent kicks Swerve away, hot tag to Desperado! Fans fire up as Desperado rallies on Swerve! Swerve kicks low, whips, but Desperado verses to SPINEBUSTER! High stack, TWO! Desperado punches Cage, but Cage stays up! Cage grabs at Desperado but Desperado kicks the legs out! Desperado turns around into a kick from Kaun!

Kaun & Liona double whip Desperado to a corner. Kaun runs in but Desperado dodges and ROCK Lion! Desperado dodges Kaun again and the dropkick hits Liona! Swerve runs in, Desperado drop toeholds him onto Kaun! Desperado drags Swerve up to hit a BIG back suplex! Fans fire up, Chaos BLASTS Cage off the apron! Desperado wants after Swerve, but Rocky says hold on. GROUP HUG! You GOT to give the people what they want! Desperado is annoyed, but then the Embassy attacks them all! Fans boo but Cage soaks up the heat. Cage turns around, Rocky’s up top, FLYING RANA! Rocky runs in at Swerve but into a BOOT! Swerve goes up now, KILL- NO, Rocky dodges and Swerve stumbles into Cage! Rocky then backslides Swerve! TWO!! Swerve escapes, Cage runs in, but Rocky dodges and the DISCUS hits Swerve! JUMP KNEE hits Cage outta the ring! Hot tag to Trent, and he gets Swerve up. The bell rings and fans fire up. Athena offers a handshake, referencing the ROH Code of Honor. Billie accepts, but then Athena reels her in! Billie avoids the cheap shot to roll Athena up, ONE! Billie KICKS away on Athena! Athena blocks, Billie breaks free and HEEL KICKS! Cover, ONE!! Billie is upset, but she keeps on Athena. The trios sort out but the Empire just attacks! The bell rings, Kyle tosses Takagi and Cobb tosses Hiromu, TJP stomps away on Bushi. TJP & Kyle double whip corner to corner, then Kyle whips TJP in. Bushi dodges, traps TJP, BOOTS Kyle, and then BULLDOG DROPKICK COMBOS! Fans fire up with Bushi and he builds speed, only for Cobb to trip Bushi! Cobb drags Bushi out and HEADBUTTS him down! AEW World Championship: MJF VS Hiroshi Tanahashi!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman always thinks he’s better than everyone else, and that included not just this living legend, but the entirety of NJPW. That is arrogance like none other, but will that pride come before MJF’s fall? Or will not even the Ace of the Universe be on the level of AEW’s devil?

The introductions are made by both Justin Roberts and Takuro Shibata, AEW’s top title is raised, and we see if MJF gets dethroned by an “indie darling!”

The bell rings and fans fire up already. But MJF then mocks Tanahashi with a bow-legged walk and bad air guitar. MJF soaks up the cheers and jeers, and the two circle. They tie up, Tanahashi shoves MJF and MJF flounders. Tanahashi plays good air guitar as fans duel. The two reset, approach, and MJF kicks low to then play more bad air guitar, with a lot of hip action. MJF headlocks, Tanahashi throws body shots then headlocks. MJF powers out but Tanahashi runs him over! Fans are torn as MJF bails out, and Tanahashi gives some more air guitar! MJF says forget it, he’s done. MJF storms off but fans boo,

Tanahashi has everyone calm down, and starts up a “COW~ARD~! COW~ARD~!” chant. That gets to MJF like it did when Adam Cole did it. MJF storms back to the ring and slides in at 7 of 10. MJF says “You think I’m a coward?”  Fans shout, “YES!” He’ll show you! MJF offers a handshake in sportsmanship, but fans don’t trust that. Tanahashi says okay, and they shake hands. MJF even bows, but Tanahashi blocks the cheap shot! Tanahashi spins MJF to DRAGON PALM! Tanahashi runs, but MJF staggers to a corner. MJF checks his jaw, and then he uses the ref as a shield! Fans boo again and MJF YANKS Tanahashi into buckles!

MJF drags Tanahashi up, RAMS into him again and again, and then suplexes to hang Tanahashi out to dry! Tanahashi flops down and MJF goes up a corner just to soak up heat. MJF goes back to Tanahashi, and he wraps on a rear bearhug. Fans duel as Tanahashi endures. Tanahashi fights up, throws elbows, and runs, but MJF kitchen sink knees! MJF flips off the fans as they boo. MJF says, “This is the legend? Legend my ass!” MJF throws body shots on Tanahashi, whips him to ropes, but Tanahashi rolls MJF up! TWO, and Tanahashi shows punch but kicks low! Tanahashi runs, but MJF catches him to a cobra twist!

MJF pie faces Tanahashi, and Tanahashi gets mad! MJF pie faces more but Tanahashi fires up!

Fans fire up, but MJF pie faces Tanahashi a third time. Tanahashi rises, stares MJF down, but MJF throws a forearm! Tanahashi stays up so MJF throws more shots. Tanahashi roars and eggs MJF on! MJF winds up, but pokes Tanahashi in the eye! MJF flips fans off, runs in, but Tanahashi blocks the kick! DRAGON SCREW! Tanahashi gets the legs again, TEXAS CLOVERHOLD!! MJF endures as Toronto is thunderous! MJF reaches out, but Tanahashi drags him from the ropes! Tanahashi pulls back on the hold but MJF fights his way forward to the ROPEBREAK! Tanahashi lets go and he drags MJF back up.

Tanahashi reels MJF in but MJF wrenches out and knees low. MJF reels Tanahashi in, suplexes, but the legs give up! Tanahashi TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! And then SLINGBLADE! Tanahashi roars and hurries up top! Toronto is thunderous again as Tanahashi HIGH FLY FLOWS onto knees!! MJF saves himself but it was double-edged again! Both men writhe, MJF with is legs and Tanahashi with his ribs, but the fans rally as hard as ever. MJF crawls to ropes and fans rally, “GO ACE! GO ACE!” MJF gets to the apron then hobbles away. MJF grabs the title off the timekeeper’s table, and he hobbles back into the ring.

Fans boo but the ref stops MJF from using the belt as a weapon. MJF argues with the ref, but Tanahashi rolls MJF up! But the ref is too busy putting the belt back! Tanahashi would’ve won already! The ref returns to count, TWO!!! MJF survives, and then he shoves Tanahashi into the ref! DYNAMITE DIAMOND RING PUNCH!!! Of course he used that! Cover, MJF wins!!

While the Women’s Owen Hart Cup is already through with the first round, the men are just getting started! Will the Best in the World reestablish himself by becoming the King of Harts? Or will the King of Bread Style come through on his promise and kick some ass?

The fans in Toronto are already torn about Punk as he makes his entrance. The bell rings and the two approach. They circle, tie up, and Punk wrenches an arm. Punk hammerlocks but Kojima headlocks. Punk powers out, but Kojima RAMS him! Fans cheer as Punk staggers around. Punk steadies himself and circles with Kojima. They tie up and Punk headlocks. Punk grinds the headlock, fans cheer and jeer, but Kojima throws body shots. Kojima powers out, RAMS Punk, and Punk wobbles again. Fans duel as Kojima and Punk circle. They tie up, Punk powers Kojima back but Kojima turns it around to put Punk in a corner.

Kojima lets off, and he fires off forearms! Fans fire up but the ref has Kojima back off. Punk gets mad and he runs in but Kojima hip tosses him! And then runs him over! Fans fire up as Kojima pops the pecs! Punk staggers up, kicks low, then throws Kojima out. Fans boo and Punk gets his own pecs going. Kojima staggers up, Punk kicks him from the apron, and then AX HANDLES! Punk CHOPS Kojima, and then has him against barriers. Punk CHOPS again, flexes the biceps, but Kojima turns things around to CHOP! And CHOP! Punk tumbles up and over the railing into the timekeeper’s area!

Kojima goes after Punk, brings him around, and Kojima smacks Punk off the apron. Punk flounders about, Kojima slides into the ring and then goes back out. Punk kicks Kojima first, then CHOPS! Punk goes up to the apron, but Kojima sweeps the legs! Fans cheer as Punk crashes down! Kojima gets in and promises to kill the bastard! Fans fire up for Kojima as he stomps away! Kojima ROCKS Punk, runs, but Punk CALF KICKS! Fans boo while Punk checks his imaginary watch. Punk drags Kojima up, scoops and SLAMS, then mocks the fans. Punk drops the leg, brother! Fans boo more but Punk pretends not to know why.

Kojima sputters around but Punk brings him up. Punk CHOPS, but Kojima CHOPS back! Punk throws a haymaker, Kojima forearms back! Punk CHOPS, Kojima CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Punk ends up in a corner but he kicks Kojima’s leg! Punk goes up, rains down fists, and fans count along to TEN! Punk hops down, feints the chop to kick a leg out! Snapmare and cover, TWO! Punk wraps on a chinlock and he grinds Kojima down. Kojima endures, reaches out to the ROPEBREAK, and Punk lets go. Punk keeps his cool, drags Kojima up and whips him to a corner! Kojima bounces off buckles and flops down.

Punk stands Kojima up, and he throws point-blank clotheslines! Punk shouts “LARIAT! LARIAT!” and “KOJIMA! KOJIMA!” to taunt him. Punk wrenches, reels Kojima in, and hits a BIG back suplex! Fans fire up but Punk pushes past Kojima. Kojima keeps after Punk in another corner, MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Kojima tops it off with one more CHOP, and Kojima whips corner to corner. Kojima runs in to forearm smash! Now he’s gonna get ya! Kojima climbs up, aims, COZY ELBOW! It’s anything but! Cover, TWO!! Punk clutches the yam bag, but Kojima fires off forearms! ROLLING ELBOW! Kick and DDT! Fans fire up and Kojima feeds off that energy. Kojima drags Punk back up, cravats, but Punk fights with body shots! Punk shoves Kojima to a corner, to SHINING WIZARD! And then short arm LARIAT!

Punk staggers but he goes to the corner. Punk climbs as fans boo. Punk soaks it up, shrugs, then MACHO ELBOWS! Cover, TWO!!! Kojima survives, but Punk wraps on the ANACONDA VICE! A move Punk took from Tenzan years ago, but Kojima fights with fists! Kojima gets free, but Punk says night-night! Punk drags Kojima up, and MONGOLIAN CHOPS! And MONGOLIAN CHOPS! Fireman’s carry, but Kojima fights free! Fans fire up as Kojima gives MONGOLIAN CHOPS! And again! And again! And again! And again, and again! Then a kick and COZY CUTTER!! Fans are thunderous as Kojima rises again!

Kojima takes off the elbow pad! Punk rises, Kojima runs, but Punk ducks to spin and NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Kojima survives and Punk grows frustrated. Fans boo but there are those chanting for Punk as he drags Kojima up. Punk ROCKS, CHOPS and repeat! Fireman’s carry, and Punk marches around with Kojima to soak up maximum heat. GO TO- NO! Kojima blocks the knee to ROCK Punk and reel him in! BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, TWO?!?! Punk survives that sheer drop but Kojima says this is it! Kojima raises his arm and waits on Punk. Punk slowly stands, Kojima runs, but Punk dodges! ROUNDHOUSE!

The Freshly Squeezed fighting champion has been up for whatever wherever, and even survived a Blackjack 21 Battle Royal. But has he finally bit off more than he can chew taking on ROH Pure Champion, the NJPW World Television Champion and the Dragonslayer at the same time? Or will he once again find a way to survive?

The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see if there’s a double champion in the near future!

The bell rings and fans are really torn here. ZSJ talks trash to Garcia and to “Orange Bollocks.” The four men approach center, and Cassidy gives “devastating” shin kicks to everyone! ZSJ, Garcia, then Shibata! But then ZSJ blocks one, hands the foot to Garcia, but Garcia hands it to Shibata. Shibata gives it back to ZSJ, and ZSJ swings on Cassidy but he dodges to send ZSJ into Shibata! Garcia runs in, Cassidy sends him into ZSJ! O’Conner Roll, TWO, and Cassidy DIVES onto Shibata & ZSJ! Things keep moving, Cassidy tilt-o-whirls but Garcia throws him down! Garcia steps through, DRAGON TAMER!

Garcia flexes, but Shibata gets in to KICK Garcia in the chest! Shibata sends Garcia out, gets Cassidy’s legs, and has a FIGURE FOUR! But ZSJ steps in to NECK TWIST Shibata! ZSJ wags his finger, gets a leg and ties Cassidy up in a deathlock, and then adds a headscissor and armlock! #YesIAmALongWayFromHome! But Garcia storms in to BOOT ZSJ! Garcia scuffs ZSJ, taunts him, but ZSJ stands up. They bump shoulders, but Shibata pushes Garcia away to egg ZSJ on. They trade uppercuts while Garcia is upset. Shibata shoves him, the uppercuts keep going, but Garcia gets mad now and shoves Shibata. So Shibata SLAPS Garcia! And CHOPS ZSJ! ZSJ UPPERCUTS Garcia and UPPERCUTS Shibata! Garcia returns, Shibata CHOPS him! ZSJ UPPERCUTS Garcia! Garcia just does his dance! Shibata CHOPS, Garcia dances harder. ZSJ UPPERCUTS, Shibata fires forearms, they mug Garcia! The sports enner-tay-ner falls over and the wrestlers return to trading shots. Garcia roars, runs in, and DOUBLE LARIATS! And then does his dance! Fans cheer, but Cassidy rolls Garcia up! ZSJ BOOTS Garcia, Shibata BOOTS ZSJ, Cassidy BOOTS Shibata! Cassidy and Garcia BOOT each other! Shibata and ZSJ BOOT each other! All four men run in, QUADRUPLE BOOTS take them all down! Toronto is thunderous and ZSJ shouts at “Orange Bollocks!” ZSJ drags Cassidy up, Shibata drags Garcia up. But Garcia and Cassidy each take a swing! Only to get caught into the COBRA TWIST! Fans cheer the dueling stretches and ZSJ eggs Shibata on. They waddle over with their trapped opponents, stare down, and Shibata SLAPS ZSJ! ZSJ SLAPS back, it’s a SLAP fight while also in dueling submissions!

ZSJ and Shibata shove Cassidy and Garcia away and they fire off palm strikes! Fans fire up, Cassidy and Garcia each get a SLEEPER! But ZSJ and Shibata keep fighting, even as they fade! Fans are thunderous again, and then ZSJ and Shibata both throw off Cassidy and Garcia. ZSJ BOOTS Shibata, snap suplexes, but Shibata’s right up! Shibata suplexes ZSJ! Garcia suplexes Shibata! Cassidy suplexes Garcia! ZSJ suplexes Cassidy! Shibata suplexes ZSJ! Fans fire up as Garcia suplexes Shibata! Cassidy suplexes Garcia, but Garcia fights that to suplex, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Garcia returns to CLOBBER Shibata with a belt! Cover, TWO!! Shibata survives but Garcia snarls and shakes his head. Shibata sits up, Garcia does his dance. Garcia ROCKS Shibata, CLUBS him, and fires off more forearms. But Shibata just leans into the shots!

Fans chant “YOU’RE A WRESTLER!” at Garcia as he fires off shots. Shibata backs Garcia down by leaning in, and then he DECKS Garcia! Shibata adds shots in the corner, then runs corner to corner! HYDRAULIC DROPKICK!! Fans fire up and Cassidy slowly returns. Shibata turns around and fans rally up again. The friends stare down, and they both sit down cross-legged! Shibata eggs Cassidy on but Cassidy eggs him on. So Shibata CHOPS! Cassidy CHOPS! Shibata CHOPS again! Cassidy huffs and puffs and CHOPS! Shibata CHOPS, “This is Awesome!” as the two stand while firing off shots!

Shibata gives Kawada Kicks, ROCKS Cassidy, but Cassidy says hold on. Hands in his pockets! Shibata runs in, Cassidy dodges, ORANGE PUNCH!! But Cassidy clutches that hand, damaged as it is! Shibata runs in, SUPERMAN ELBOW!!! Shibata gives as good as he took, he drags Cassidy up, but Cassidy hits BEACH BREAK!! Cover, TWO!?! Shibata survives and Cassidy can’t believe it! ZSJ hurries back in while Shibata bails out. ZSJ stands on the bad hand, then STOMPS it! ZSJ isolates that arm to STOMP the elbow!! ZSJ grins as he gets the arm again, and he tortures the fingers and wrist!

ZSJ wrenches Cassidy, but Cassidy wrenches, catches, MOUSE TRAP, but ZSJ powers through to get an omoplata! But Garcia drags ZSJ off before the Jim Breaks is complete! ZSJ fights the driver, to wrench and PELE the arm! UPPERCUT! Cassidy runs in, tilt-o-whirl, but ZSJ denies the DDT! ZSJ suplexes, but then he denies Stun Dog Millionaire! Takedown into RINGS OF SATURN!! Cassidy endures, this is now the JIM BREAKS ARMBAR! But Shibata KICKS ZSJ in the back! ZSJ cranks on the hold anyway! Shibata wraps on a SLEEPER! Cassidy gets away, ZSJ fades! Shibata runs, but he has to BOOT Garcia first!

Shibata runs in, ZSJ ducks the Penalty Kick to O’Conner, BRIDGE! TWO!! SLEEPER! ZSJ rolls through, EURO CLUTCH! Garcia breaks it!! Fans are thunderous again as Garcia tosses Shibata out, but ZSJ UPPERCUTS! Garcia CHOPS! And SLAPS! And runs, but ZSJ UPPERCUTS! ZSJ runs, but into a Gory Especial! Backslide, TWO but Garcia STUFF PILEDRIVERS! PENALTY KICK from Shibata!! Cassidy shoves Shibata out to ghost pin Garcia, and Cassidy wins!!!

No double champion here tonight as Freshly Squeezed squeezes out a win! Will nothing stop Cassidy from being the greatest International Champion ever? ZSJ snatches that belt first, though, and holds it up with his own belt. ZSJ says they’re not done here. But then Shibata says the same. Cassidy snatches his belt away, and all the champions talk. They all wanna hold two belts, when and where will we see this all happen? Cassidy and Shibata still show respect to each other by shaking hands. Will they be the ones standing tall when it’s all said and done?

 

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: SANADA w/ DOUKI VS “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry w/ Hook!

The Cold Skull put out an Open Challenge to AEW, and Tarzan Life jumped right on it! Jack Perry wants so badly to be a singles champion, will he shoot right up to being a world champion? Or will he only meet a Skull End?

The bell rings and the fans are fired up for “RED SHOES! RED SHOES!” Red Shoes takes a bow and fans cheer. JB and Sanada tie up, are in a deadlock, but Sanada uses leverage to put JB on ropes. Red Shoes counts, Sanada lets off and fans continue to cheer Red Shoes on. JB shrugs that off and he resets with Sanada. They circle, tie up, and JB headlocks. Sanada powers out, then he runs JB over! Things speed up, JB hurdles but Sanada shoves, only for JB to turn Sanada’s arm-drag into one of his own! JB steps over to the SNARE TRAP!! Sanada scrambles, ROPEBREAK! JB lets go quickly, and JB says it was that close.

Sanada admits, yes, it was close. Sanada and JB reset, circle, and tie up. JB kicks low, whips, but Sanada reverses to hurdle, hurdle and DROPKICK! JB bails out and fans fire up. Sanada gets them to get louder, and then he builds speed, but JB slips in. Sanada tumbles out to the apron and JB DROPKICKS him down! JB builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit at the ramp! Fans fire up with JB and he brings Sanada up. JB RAMS Sanada into railing, then puts him in the ring. Cover, TWO! Sanada’s tougher than that but JB keeps his cool. JB drags Sanada up, but Sanada CHOPS! JB CHOPS, Sanada CHOPS back!

JB kicks low, whips, but Sanada reverses. Sanada runs in but blocks a boot to trip JB! Fans fire up as Sanada ties JB up, only for JB to power out! JB trips Sanada, and he tries to use the Paradise Lock! But Sanada kicks him away! JB comes back, sunset flips, but Sanada slips out to get JB tied up in the PARADISE LOCK! Fans cheer as JB is stuck! Sanada gets them to get even louder, and then a bit louder still! Sanada runs in to kick JB outta Paradise! Cover, TWO! JB is still in this but Sanada keeps his cool. Sanada goes up, ROUNDING BODY- NO, he has to land on his feet as JB moves! JB returns, into another fireman’s carry! Sanada throws JB into the dragon sleeper, but JB goes up and over! POISON-RANA!! JB roars and goes to the corner, but Sanada ducks the blindsider!

Shota holds ropes, dodges Hangman, arm-drags and elbows! Hangman sweeps, covers, ONE! Hangman avoids the sweep to kick and then BOOT Shota down! Fans fire up, Hangman tags in Ishii! Fans fire up as Ishii & Hangman double whip but Shota kicks back! Shota fires forearms, but Hangman & Ishii both roar! Shota kicks, runs, but into double shoulders! Fans fire up while Shota flounders away. Shota tags to Konosuke and fans boo. Konosuke and Ishii stare down, then Ishii shoves Konosuke. The forearms go back and forth, faster and faster, no guard! Fans are thunderous as they keep going! Konosuke gets the edge, winds up, and ROCKS- NO, Ishii doesn’t even budge! Ishii ROCKS Konosuke! Matt tags Nick, they mug Konosuke, and then Matt gives Nick a boost to RANA Konosuke! Yuta runs in, but into the GUT BUSTER to NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Shota runs in but into DOUBLE DROPKICKS! Fans fire up with The Bucks, but Konosuke gets away to tag in Moxley. But then Eddie tags in! And the fans give a standing ovation already! Mad King and Maniac stare down, will either be able to throw a shot? They step up closer, Moxley turns to go but Eddie turns him around, so Moxley ROCKS him with a forearm! Eddie sighs, brings the straps down, and Moxley says go for it then!

Fans love the chaos, Matt tosses Claudio, Hangman tosses Shota, Nick tosses Yuta, and Ishii tosses Konosuke, Moxley and Eddie just keep up the CHOPS!

Matt goes up a corner, Nick goes up and up, DOUBLE ESCALARA onto the BCC!! Konosuke CLOBBERS Ishii, the CHOPS keep flying, and Hangman is up! ARIHARA MOONSAULT takes out Shota & the BCC!! Eddie huffs and puffs and Moxley eggs him on. Fans hope these teams “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Claudio gets in to UPPERCUT Eddie! Fans boo but Claudio stomps Eddie down! Moxley finally rests and Claudio gets him to their corner. Claudio tags in, he stomps Eddie more, and the fans boo. Claudio soaks up the heat, then brings Eddie around to UPPERCUT!

Fans rally for “EDDIE! EDDIE!” but Claudio brings Eddie up. Eddie CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Claudio short arm LARIATS! Claudio drags Eddie over, tags in Yuta, and Yuta rains down fists! The ref reprimands but Yuta lets off to soak up the heat. Yuta CHOKES Eddie on the ropes and Moxley stares Eddie down. The ref counts, Yuta lets off, Claudio BOOTS Eddie down! Yuta gets the leg, Konosuke tags in, and they split the wishbone! Konosuke clamps onto Eddie with a CAMEL CLUTCH! Ishii steps in to fire forearms on Konosuke, but Konosuke holds on! Konosuke then lets off to DECK Ishii!!

The Bucks check Ishii, they’ve surely never seen something like that! Tag to Shota, and he CLOBBERS Hangman off the apron! Shota drags Eddie up to UPPERCUT! And UPPERCUT! Fans rally, Shota scuffs Eddie and then stomps him. Shota stomps away at the ropes but the ref counts. Shota stops, brings Eddie up, and turns him for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Nick was there, too, but the ref has him back down. Shota stomps Eddie more, drags him over, and Claudio tags in. Fans boo but Claudio UPPERCUTS Eddie! Claudio waits on Eddie to stand up, runs in, but Eddie blocks the boot to LARIAT! Fans fire up while both men are down! Eddie and Claudio crawl, tag to Moxley and he intercepts Eddie. Moxley wags his finger, and dares Eddie to get up. Eddie asks Moxley what he’s doing, and he staggers around. Eddie CHOPS! Moxley CHOPS! AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm w/ The Outcasts VS Willow Nightingale!

The Lightning From Down Under took this title off Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing, and The Babe with the Power won the one-night tournament at Resurgence to have the belt she has. Neither champion’s looking back, only forward and upward. But then, can Willow bring down the Storm? Or will it still be #ToniTime in AEW?

The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see if Storm is stronger than NJPW Strong!

The bell rings and fans rally up. Willow and Storm stare down, tie up, and go around. Willow puts Storm on ropes but Storm gets around to waistlock. Willow drop toeholds, then floats to a facelock. Storm fights up, but Willow hits a takeover to a cover! ONE, and Storm bails out to regroup with the Outcasts. Willow sighs while Saraya & Ruby Soho hype Storm back up. Storm goes up the steel steps, runs in, but Willow gest around to roll her up! ONE, and Willow runs Storm over! Fans fire up as Willow flexes, and things speed up. Willow rolls over Storm, Storm ducks ‘n’ dodges, and Storm blocks a hip toss only for Willow to counter and bring her down to a cover, TWO!

Storm runs in but into a scoop and SLAM! Fans fire up with Willow more and she smiles as she goes corner to corner. BIG back body block, then a whip corner to corner! Willow runs in to back body block again! Another whip, Storm reverses but Willow SHOTGUNS Storm outta the ring! Fans fire up, Willow goes out but the Outcasts stand in her way. Fans rally for Willow as she endures and fights around. Willow fights up, powers the hold open, but Storm CLUBS Willow on the back! Storm clamps on the full nelson again and she thrashes Willow around. Willow endures and the fans rally up again. Willow stands, breaks free, and she fireman’s carries to SAMOAN DROP! Both women are down and Saraya coaches Storm. Willow rises first, Storm goes to a corner. Willow runs corner to corner to back body block! And clothesline! And snapmare to a BOOT! Fans fire up while Storm bails to the apron. Willow brings Storm up but Storm HOTSHOTS her!

Storm drags Willow out to the apron, reels her in, but Willow fireman’s carries! APRON DEATH VALLEY!! The Outcasts are freaking out and Willow gets in the ring. The ref checks Storm, she is somehow still in this, so Willow fireman’s carries again! RUNNING DEATH VALLEY!! Cover, TWO!!! Storm survives and the Outcasts breathe easy. Willow goes to a corner, climbs up, and fans rally behind her. Storm is still down, but then the Outcasts throw a spray paint can in?! Willow hops down as the ref grabs that. The ref EJECTS Saraya & Ruby! Fans cheer and sing “NANA NANA! HEY HEY HEY! GOOD-BYE~!”

Willow brings Storm up, but Storm throat chops! Storm reels Willow in, Willow back drops and sits on it, TWO!!! Storm escapes, but Willow LARIATS her down! Willow puts Storm in the drop zone, goes up the corner, and then MOONSAULTS but FLOPS! Storm hits a BASEMENT DDT! Willow is in the corner, Storm runs in, SWEET HIP MUSIC! DDT!! Cover, TWO!!! Willow survives and fans fire up! Storm has a bloody nose and a scowl, and she kicks Willow around. Fans rally, Willow grins a crazy grin. Willow eggs Storm on and Storm fires forearms! Then a SLAP! Willow steps through, toehold into the INDIAN DEATHLOCK! Storm endures, her shoulders are down, TWO as she sits up! Storm grabs at hair but Willow puts on the pressure! Storm CHOPS Willow, Willow CHOPS back! Willow puts on more pressure, Storm CHOPS but Willow CHOPS! Storm manages a forearm but Willow just CHOPS away on her!! Storm screams, pries at the hold, and she BITES a knee!! The ref reprimands, Willow lets Storm go and goes to a corner. Storm runs in again, SWEET HIP- POUNCE!! PERIOD! Willow goes out to get Storm, puts her back in, and Storm runs to a corner. Willow runs in to back body block, and clothesline!

Willow fires point-blank clotheslines again and again and again! The straps come down and fans fire up as Willow headbangs! Willow runs corner to corner, but the ref is a shield! Fans boo, the ref moves aside, but Storm rakes eyes! STORM ZERO!!! Cover, Storm wins!!

By any means necessary! Skye Blue is watching, she isn’t any happier about this than the fans are. Britt Baker is also watching, because she and Ruby Soho have an Owen Hart Cup rematch from last year’s finals. Will the Doctor beat the Runaway again? Or will The Outcasts always find a way?

 

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: Kenny Omega VS Will Ospreay w/ Don Callis!

It was January 4th, 2023, at WrestleKingdom 17, when these two battled over this title. The Best Bout Machine bludgeoned and bloodied the Commonwealth Kingpin and took this title while holding onto the proverbial torch. But after winning a #1 contender’s tournament, Ospreay says he is back for revenge! Will Ospreay take everything back? Or will The Cleaner have a clean 2-0 sweep?

Ospreay incites the Canadian fans as he has for weeks already, but now he has dirty Don Callis and his “military grade security” with him. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Omega holds onto all his titles, not just the physical!

The bell rings and fans are thunderous already! They’re all on Omega’s side, of course, as he and Ospreay circle. They tie up, Ospreay wrenches and wristlocks but Omega wrenches to wristlock back. Ospreay rolls, steps over, and headlocks. Omega brings Ospreay to a knee to pop out the back, and he CLUBS the arm. Omega wristlocks, snapmares Ospreay and wraps on a chinlock. Surprisingly, fans sing “OSPREAY~, OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY~!” as he wrenches and wristlocks to headlock. Ospreay then knuckle locks to twist the wrist and wrenches again as fans rally back up for Omega.

Ospreay ELBOW BREAKERS, hammerlocks, but Omega reaches back. Omega slips around, headlocks, hits a takeover, but Ospreay headscissors. Omega kips free, roles reverse as Ospreay headlocks for the takeover and Omega headscissors. Omega holds on taught while fans chant “CALLIS SUCKS!” Ospreay moves around, headstands, but Omega JAMS him! Fans cheer and Omega brings Ospreay around. Omega CLUBS Ospreay, CHOPS him, and repeat. Omega throws forearms, the ref counts, and Omega JABS! Ospreay turns things around to fire off forearms, then a CHOP! Omega goes to another corner, Ospreay CHOPS again!

Ospreay tells fans to shut up and suck it, then whips corner to corner. Ospreay runs in but into boots! Omega Electric Chair Lifts but Ospreay fights free! Ospreay springboards, OSC- NO, Omega catches Ospreay to a full nelson! SNAP DRAGON, but Ospreay lands on his feet! ARM-DRAG! Omega headscissors, Ospreay kips free but Omega ducks the buzzsaw! Fans fire up as the two stand off! Omega uses a leg guard to scoot around but Ospreay stays back. The two reset and fans chant “This is Wrestling!” Callis coaches Ospreay as Omega and Ospreay feel out a grapple. But then Ospreay just pokes Omega in the eye!

The ref reprimands, fans boo, and Ospreay fires off shots. Ospreay bumps Omega off buckles, then CHOPS! Omega sits down and Ospreay mockingly acts surprised by the boos. Ospreay drags Omega up, KNEES him in the head, but Omega throws a haymaker! And another! Ospreay knees low! Ospreay whips Omega to a corner but Omega goes up and over to then RANA! Fans fire up, Omega fireman’s carry! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” ROLLING SENTON and MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Fans rally while Ospreay bails out and Omega sets up. The Terminator Drums start up, and Omega builds speed, but Callis trips him up!

Fans boo and Omega rushes out after him! But the security stands in the way. The ref EJECTS Callis! Callis is furious, but Omega turns around into a PLANCHA from Ospreay! Ospreay RAMS Omega into steel steps, knees first! Omega falls over the side, Ospreay storms over and slaps a fan’s hat away! Ospreay drags Omega up and POSTS him! Omega staggers towards commentary and Ospreay CLUBS him. Ospreay puts Omega in, drags him up, and fans rally. Ospreay scoops for the SPIN OUT BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Omega is still in this and Ospreay scowls. Ospreay stalks Omega to a corner, reels him in, shoves and CLUBS him on the back!

Fans rally up for Omega but Ospreay scuffs him. Ospreay stands Omega up, CHOPS him, but Omega CHOPS back! Omega CHOPS again, but Ospreay kicks the bad leg. Ospreay suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Ospreay scowls while fans rally, and Ospreay scuffs Omega more. Omega throws body shots, but Ospreay UPPERCUTS! Ospreay whips, Omega reverses, but Ospreay catches Omega to a cobra twist! Fans rally and duel, Omega endures the stretch, and Omega hip tosses free! Fans fire up, Omega storms up, but into a headbutt! Ospreay whips, Omega ducks ‘n’ dodges and dropkicks a leg out! KOTARO KRUSHER!

Fans fire up and Omega runs to PUNT Ospreay in the side! And then SLAM DUNK BULLDOG! Cover, TWO! Omega keeps cool, fans rally up, and Omega brings Ospreay in. Ospreay resists the lift but Omega KICKS him! And CHOPS him! And CHOPS him! And CHOPS again! Omega runs, into the Tiger Wall Kick and ENZIGURI! Omega wobbles, Ospreay brings him around to hang him out to dry. Ospreay kicks Omega for good measure before going to the corner. Ospreay climbs up, GUILLOTINE SHOOTING STAR!! Fans are thunderous as Ospreay kicks Omega to the apron. Ospreay then goes up the corner, APRON OSCUTTER!!!

Both men are down, that move was a bit double-edged. The fans lose their minds while Omega slumps to the floor. Ospreay goes after Omega, brings him around to commentary, “This is Awesome!” as Ospreay talks trash. Omega blocks the bump off the desk, so Ospreay fires off headbutts! Then he SMACKS Omega off the hood! And again! The ref tells Ospreay to stop but this is a reference right back to WrestleKingdom and the table smash! Omega blocks again, Ospreay BITES the fingers! Ospreay SLAMS Omega’s head into the desk!! The fans boo but Ospreay soaks it all up! Ospreay then takes his time to taunt the fans.

Fans chant “YOU’RE A WANKER!” but Ospreay just smirks. Ospreay goes back to Omega and the desk hood. Ospreay sets that up as a ramp, to SMASH Omega’s head through it!! Omega’s busted open!! A ring count climbs, but Ospreay has 20 because this is NJPW rules. Ospreay puts Omega in at 8 of 20, fans chant “STILL A WANKER!” but Ospreay watches Omega stagger up. Ospreay ROCKS Omega with a forearm! Omega staggers about, Ospreay ROCKS him again! Omega leans against ropes but Ospreay pushes past the ref to ROCK him again! And again, and again, and again! Omega flounders to a corner and Ospreay admires the blood on his arm.

Ospreay TASTES the blood! Fans chant “YOU SICK F!!” Ospreay stalks Omega again, brings him out of the corner, and throws more forearms on the bloody forehead! Ospreay gives kicks and taunts Omega. Ospreay pie faces but Omega ROCKS Ospreay! Ospreay wobbles, Omega ROCKS him again! And again! Ospreay ROLLING ELBOWS! Omega falls down and Ospreay looms over him. Ospreay kicks Omega around, soaks up more heat, and mocks the finger gun! Ospreay aims and says BANG! Ospreay runs, to V-TRIGGER Omega!! Omega flops out to the apron! Ospreay goes out and he soaks up more heat.

Ospreay taunts the kids up front as they taunt him back. Ospreay shoves Omega into the ring, snatches a Canadian flag, and fans boo as Ospreay brings that to the ring, to floss his groin! And pick his nose, which is also kinda gross. Omega CLOBBERS Ospreay for it!! Fans fire up again as Omega takes the flag, and CHOKES Ospreay with it! Omega TOSSES Ospreay across the way! And then TOSSES him back the other way! Fans fire up for those “Maple Leaf Biels” and Omega drags Ospreay up. Omega TOSSES Ospreay out, to HANG Ospreay with the flag! The ref counts, Omega lets off, and he goes out after Ospreay.

Omega waves the flag and hands it to the young fans! Everyone cheers that, and Omega runs around the way to V-TRIGGER Ospreay INTO BARRIERS! Omega almost falls into the fans’ laps! Omega hobbles a bit but he stalks Ospreay. Fans sing O Canada as Omega brings Ospreay up. Omega says now Ospreay’s gonna get it! Omega SMACKS Ospreay off the steel steps! And again! And again!! The ref reprimands and Omega lets off. Ospreay is busted open now! Callis is about to jump outta his rose colored jacket! Omega and Ospreay stand, and they fire off forearms with whatever they have left! They move to SLAPS and palm strikes! Omega drags Ospreay up, reels him in, Electric Chair Lift, but then shifts to COYT’S WRATH!! Cover, TWO!!!! Ospreay still has fight in him but Omega reloads. Fans want them to “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end. V-TRIGGER!! Electric Chair Lift, but Ospreay slips out!? Ospreay lifts, Omega slips out, ripcord, HIDDEN BLADE!!!! Otherwise known as #LeSuzukiGods VS #Stingobernables, this battle stems from the rivalry between the two Young Pillars, and the dream match potential of their mentors finally facing off in the ring. The Wizard recruited his supposed best pal, the Meanest Man in the World, and that prompted the Relentless Icons to call on someone who knows both Jericho and Suzuki well. Will the Uncontrollable Charisma help Darby & Sting make Toronto tranquilo?

Fans sing along with Judas as usual. But Sting seems to be either bringing back Joker Sting or is mocking Jericho’s “Painmaker” get-up. The trios sort out and Naito takes his time with his elaborate entrance attire. Sammy starts for his team but waits patiently while Jericho and Suzuki complain. Naito finally finishes with the pants, and he circles with Sammy. They approach, but then Naito dodges. Naito wants everyone to keep cool as he and Sammy reset. They approach, and Sammy returns the favor! Jericho applauds but the fans boo. Sammy and Naito circle again, approach, and Naito kicks low!

Naito CLUBS Sammy, headlocks, but Sammy powers up and out. Naito holds ropes, BOOTS Sammy, and runs in. Sammy hurdles, leaps over and then DROPKICKS! Sammy kips up smooth and fans do cheer that. Sammy then spins and strikes his pose and Jericho applauds. Sammy brings Naito up, whips, but Naito reverses to send Naito out. Naito then builds speed, but he fakes Sammy out to tranquilo! Fans fire up but the ref has to keep Suzuki in the corner. Sammy does applaud, and he goes up the apron. Naito runs in but into a GAMANGIRI! Sammy springboards but Naito gets under.

Sammy keeps moving but Naito arm-drags! And ELBOWS! And basement dropkicks! Fans rally up and Naito messes Sammy’s hair. Naito brings Sammy up, tags Darby, but Sammy gets away. Sammy and Darby stare down, but Suzuki tags in! Fans fire up as Suzuki and Darby circle. Darby storms up to ROCK Suzuki! Fans fire up and Suzuki comes back to ROCK Darby! Darby fires a forearm, Suzuki ROCKS Darby again! Darby growls, throws another forearm, and fans chant for “MURDER GRAMPA!” Suzuki nods and smiles, pats Darby on the shoulders, and DECKS him! Even Jericho felt that one! And fans love it!

Darby sits up and Suzuki eggs him on. Darby stands, puts some stank on his hands, then CHOPS! Suzuki feints then SLAPS! Darby fires off fast hands, whips, but Suzuki reverses. Darby springboards, but into the SLEEPER! Darby flails and reaches out, but Suzuki drops back! Darby rolls back to a cover, TWO!! Fans fire up as the two stand off, and then Sting reaches out. Fans fire up again as Darby tags him in! Fans give a standing ovation for these two living legends, but then Jericho wants in! Fans like that, too, but Suzuki tells Jericho no! Suzuki stares Sting down but Jericho is shouting, “TAG ME! TAG ME!”

Suzuki says fine, and tags in Jericho! Fans stay fired up as Jericho and Sting finally step to each other. They circle, but then Suzuki gets in and attacks from behind! Suzuki and Jericho mug Sting, Darby and Naito rush in but so does Sammy! The brawl is on! Sammy and Darby, Suzuki and Sting, Naito and Jericho! Darby TOSSES Sammy, Jericho TOSSES Naito! Sammy drags Darby out to THROW him into barriers! Sting throws Suzuki out, and now he has Jericho to himself! Fans fire up as these two circle. Jericho throws a haymaker, Sting throws it back! They go back and forth, and fans fire up with each shot!

The hands fly fast, it’s a hockey fight! Sting whips, Jericho reverses and mocks the howl, but he misses the splash! Sting trips Jericho, steps through, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Fans fire up but Sammy goes up top, FLYING CUTTER!! Sting goes down hard and Jericho is free! Sammy coordinates with Jericho, they tag, and Le Sex Gods double whip Sting to run him over with shoulders! And then they pose together! Suzuki joins in, too! Now that’s a family portrait. Sammy drags Sting up, puts him in the corner and climbs up. Sammy rains down fists, then soaks up cheers and jeers, only for Sting to FLAPJACK him off buckles!

Sting crawls, hot tag to Darby! Darby runs in to COFFIN SPLASH! And then corner to corner, COFFIN SPLASH! Snapmare and fast hands! Darby RAMS Sammy, runs, hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO! Darby drags Sammy to a drop zone, goes up, but Jericho distracts him. Sammy springs up after Darby, SUPER SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO! Darby survives but Sammy keeps focus. Sammy puts Darby in the corner to CHOP! Sammy goes corner to corner, mocks the Sting howl, but he misses it, too! Sammy reels Darby in, Darby goes around, and heads crash! Both men are down, fans fire up, hot tags to Jericho and Naito!

Fans fire up as Naito dodges Jericho, DECKS Suzuki, then BOOTS Jericho to RANA! Jericho goes to a corner, Naito runs in, and Naito blocks boots! Naito grins, then SPITS in Jericho’s face! Jericho storms up, but into a turn and NECKBREAKER! Fans cheer as Naito poses, and he drags Jericho up to hammerlock and half nelson. Jericho knees free, but Naito fires heavy back elbows! Naito runs, but Jericho catches him to a SLEEPER! Suzuki gets in but so does Darby! Sammy and Sting join in, but Le Suzuki Gods all wrap on SLEEPERS!! Stingobernables fight out of the holds, and they throw Jericho and Suzuki out!

Darby builds speed, he DIVES into Suzuki! Darby gets back in, builds more speed, and DIVES into the JUDAS EFFECT!! Jericho takes Darby outta the air! Sting SMACKS Suzuki off steel steps, Sammy KNEES Naito down! Jericho sends Sting into barriers! And then he brings out a TABLE! Toronto fires up as Jericho sets it up at ringside, despite the ref reprimanding. Jericho looks around, he finds Sting and CLUBS him. Jericho RAMS Sting into barriers, then puts him on the table. Jericho CLUBS away on Sting, but Sammy says they don’t need to do this. Jericho tells Sammy to go up and smash the table!

Sammy and Jericho argue, but Jericho shouts at Sammy to listen to him! Sammy is reluctant but he goes up top. Fans tell him don’t, but Sammy 630 SENTONS through Sting and the table! But Naito rolls Jericho up! TWO!! Naito and Jericho throw hands back and forth, and Naito gets the edge! Naito runs but into a throat chop! Jericho LIONSAULTS but onto knees! Naito hurries up, runs in, DESTIN- NO! Jericho throws Naito down, turns him over, but Sting rises!? Sting gets in, trips Jericho, and steps through! SCORPION DEATHLOCK! But Suzuki is in and he grabs Sting in a SLEEPER!

Suzuki spins Sting around but Naito dropkicks the legs out! Suzuki falls outta the ring, and Naito turns around into a CODE BREAKER!! Cover, TWO!! Jericho BLASTS Sting on the apron! Jericho stomps Naito, runs and drops a leg, brother! Suzuki returns and he tags in. Suzuki storms up on Naito to stomp him. Suzuki fires forearms, then whips corner to corner. Suzuki runs in to BOOT Naito, then he snapmares and PENALTY KICKS! But then Suzuki wraps on a SLEEPER! Naito flails, Suzuki spins him but Naito fires off forearms! Naito runs, Suzuki dodges and shoots around, SLEEPER! Sting CLUBS Suzuki!

Suzuki throws body shots, runs, but into an atomic drop! Sting LARIATS and Naito rolling jackknife! STINGOBERNABLES WINS!

Bryan Danielson VS Kazuchika Okada!

A dream match by anyone’s standards has finally become reality! There can only be one true best in the world, will Bryan leave Okada lost in the desert? Or will the Rainmaker extinguish the flames of the American Dragon?

Toronto fires up as Bryan gets Final Countdown for his entrance! The bell rings and fans are already losing their minds. The two stare down, fans already chant “This is Awesome!” Bryan and Okada finally circle, they feel things out, and they tie up. Bryan gets an arm, wrenches, drags Okada down but Okada rolls to trip Bryan. Bryan has the toehold but Bryan chinbars. Bryan uses his legs to go for an armbar but Okada pushes to a cover, ONE! The two reset while fans chant “YOU’RE GONNA GET YOUR EFFIN’ HEAD KICKED IN!” Bryan smirks as he and Okada circle again. They feel things out, then knuckle lock.

Fans rally up for “O-KA-DA! O-KA-DA!” as the two go shoulder to shoulder in a test of strength. Okada uses his height to bring Bryan to his knees. Fans chant for “BOTH THESE GUYS! BOTH THESE GUYS!” Bryan rolls, breaks a hold and trips Okada to a toehold, that he then uses to turn Okada over. Bryan has the legs hooked up, he reaches for ropes, and fans chant ‘YES! YES! YES!” Okada resists so Bryan STOMPS the knees! Bryan soaks up the cheers and jeers, and shows off doing jumping jacks. Okada gets up and the two reset. They tie up, Okada headlocks, and he grinds the hold.

Bryan fights up and powers out, but Okada runs him over. Fans cheer as Okada raises an arm. Okada whips corner to corner, Bryan goes up and over and keeps moving, then ducks ‘n’ dodges. Okada ducks ‘n’ dodges, and he CLOBBERS Bryan with an elbow! Bryan sits up and checks his jaw. Okada brings Bryan up, snapmares, then runs to basement dropkick! Bryan bails out, Okada slowly follows him. Okada brings Bryan up to whip him hard into barriers! And then he runs in to BOOT Bryan over the barriers! Fans fire up as Okada drags Bryan back up and onto the barriers, but Bryan slips off!

Bryan RAMS Okada into the apron! Bryan hammerlocks the arm to POST it! Bryan slides into the ring and the ring count climbs. Okada slowly rises so Bryan builds speed to WRECK Okada with a dropkick! Okada hits a desk, Bryan aims from the apron. Okada stands again and Bryan FLYING KNEES him back down! Fans fire up and Bryan revels in it. Bryan then brings Okada up, hammerlocks the arm again, and POSTS Okada again! Bryan puts Okada back in the ring while fans rally up. Okada staggers up and Bryan climbs a corner. Bryan leaps to DOUBLE KNEE the bad arm! Okada writhes but Bryan is on him with a cover, TWO!

Bryan drags Okada around, hammerlocks the arm and KNEES it! And again! Fans duel, “Let’s Go, Bryan!” “O-KA-DA!” Okada endures the wristlock and reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Bryan lets go but then drags Okada back to start HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Then chicken wings, into CATTLE MUTILATION! Fans fire up while Okada endures. Bryan KICKS Okada, CHOPS, and repeat! Okada just glares at Bryan. Bryan CHOPS again, but Okada still steps closer. Okada dares Bryan to hit him again, so Bryan KICKS! Okada shouts at Bryan and fans fire up! Bryan CHOPS, Okada fires a forearm, Bryan gives them back! Okada’s bad arm holds him back, Bryan fires more forearms! Bryan whips corner to corner, but Okada reverses and runs in, but into a BOOT! Bryan runs in, but into a FLAPJACK! Both men are down but fans fire up! Bryan crawls to ropes and the fans rally up. Bryan runs back in but Okada rallies with forearms and elbows!

Okada whips, Bryan reverses and then dodges Okada’s elbow, only to run into a BOOT! Fans fire up while Bryan gets up slowly. Okada whips Bryan to a corner, runs in, and back elbows! Kick and DDT! Cover, TWO! Bryan is tougher than that but this is all standard Okada formula. Okada waits on Bryan, Alabama Lifts but Bryan fights out. Bryan UPPERCUTS, whips to a corner, and runs in, but Okada dodges! Okada puts Bryan up top to DROPKICK him to the floor! Fans fire up and the ring count starts. Okada goes out after Bryan, brings him around and whips him, but Bryan reverses! Okada hits barriers!

Bryan runs in but Okada tosses him up and over! Okada gets some space, runs back in, and he HIGH JUMPS! Down goes Bryan right by the front row! Fans are thunderous and Okada revels in it! Okada goes back for Bryan, throws him back over, and refreshes the AEW style ring count. Okada puts Bryan in, wraps him up and has the MONEY CLIP! Fans fire up as Bryan endures and Okada leans on him! Bryan endures, fights up, and Bryan RAMS Okada into the corner! Bryan runs in but Okada pops him up to the Alabama, REVERSE NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Bryan is still in this but Okada keeps focus.

Okada puts Bryan in the corner, hoists him up top, and then climbs up after him. Okada drags Bryan up onto a shoulder, but Bryan fights it! Bryan throws HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Okada hops away, Bryan BOOTS him! Bryan leaps, MISSILE DROPKICK! Both men are down again and fans fire back up! A standing count starts, and Bryan rises first. Fans rally, Bryan stands, and he goes to Okada. Bryan UPPERCUTS, then UPPERCUTS again! And again! And again! Okada UPPERCUTS back! And again! And again! Okada puts Bryan in a corner but Bryan UPPERCUTS back! And again!

Bryan UPPERCUTS Okada to a corner. Bryan UPPERCUTS again, but Okada comes right back with an UPPERCUT! And another! Bryan UPPERCUTS, but Okada scowls. Okada UPPERCUTS, Bryan UPPERCUTS, and fans duel again. Okada shakes his head, then fires off UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT! But Bryan blocks, spins, and catches Okada’s arm! Okada powers out to gut wrench! Bryan slips free, Okada elbows him but Bryan UPPERCUTS! Okada SHOTGUNS Bryan to the corner! Okada drags Bryan up and fireman’s carries, but Bryan slips free to GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans fire up and Bryan wags his finger.

Bryan runs in at the corner, and he DROPKICKS Okada! Bryan keeps going, another DROPKICK! And then OKADA DROPKICKS! Fans fire up again and Okada ripcords! Bryan ducks the lariat, but runs into another DROPKICK! Okada grits his teeth and he goes to a corner. Okada climbs up, “This is Awesome!” as Okada aims. MACHO ELBOW into an ARMBAR!! Okada pushes but Bryan uses that for a DISARMER! Okada endures but Bryan shifts to an omoplata, and LEBELL LOCK!! Okada endures, fights around, reaches out even though Bryan’s hands are in his face, and Okada’s leg gets the ROPEBREAK!

Bryan lets go and Okada goes to the apron. Bryan gets some space, runs in and PENALTY KICKS Okada off the apron! Fans fire up as Bryan builds speed, and Bryan DIVES! But Okada catches him!? Ripcord, but Bryan dodges to DROPKICK Okada to the ramp! Bryan catches his breath and waits on Okada to sit up. Bryan then KICKS Okada in the chest! And again! And again! Bryan aims again, but Okada ducks the buzzsaw to gut wrench! Okada backs up a bit, to TOMBSTONE Bryan on the ramp!! Fans lose their minds while the ref checks Bryan. Bryan is somehow okay to continue, and fans rally as the two stir.

Okada sits up first, he brings Bryan up, and he brings Bryan back to the ring. Okada stands while Bryan twitches. Okada drags Bryan around, puts him into a drop zone, and he goes up top. Okada tries again, MACHO ELBOW! Clean hit this time, and that brings us to the Rainmaker Pose! Fans fire up for the snap zoom out! Okada drags Bryan up, but Bryan is dead weight. The ref has Okada hold on, and he wants them to check Bryan again. Doc Sampson gets in to check as Bryan twitches and convulses. Okada has everyone back away and he brings Bryan up. Ripcord, but Bryan dodges! BUSAIKU KNEE!! It was all a fake-out!!

Bryan and Okada are down again and a standing count begins. Fans rally as both men stir. Okada grabs Bryan’s arm and brings him back up. Fans rally more and Okada throws forearms and elbows and hammers away on Bryan! Okada kicks Bryan, gets him up, and GERMAN SUPLEX! Bryan lands on his feet! BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, TWO!! Okada survives but Bryan snarls. “It’s time to kick his EFFIN’ HEAD IN!!” Bryan gets one arm, for DRAGON STOMPS! Not as furious as usual, but then Bryan drags Okada around into the omoplata. Okada powers it to a cover, TWO! Both men stand, Okada spins Bryan but Bryan ROLLING ELBOWS!

Bryan runs in to BUZZSAW! Fans fire up again and Bryan smirks as he goes to a corner. Bryan has one arm leading the “YES! YES! YES!” chants. Okada rises slowly, Bryan runs in again, but Okada DROPKICKS Bryan! Bryan is right back up, but Okada scoops him! LANDSLIDE!! Okada doesn’t stop there, he ripcords, RAINMAKER!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Bryan survives and no one can believe it! “This is Awesome!” as Okada rises again. Okada drags Bryan up by the arm again, and short arm LARIATS! Bryan falls over, but Okada brings him back up. Okada short arm LARIATS again! And then fires up!

Fans fire up and Okada brings Bryan to his feet. Ripcord and- NO, Bryan dodges this time! But then Okada dodges the knee to ripcord, but Bryan catches the arm! Takedown, step-over, omoplata! Bryan wants the crossface but he only has the one arm! Okada resists, but Bryan still gets the LEBELL LOCK!! Fans rally up, Okada endures, reaches out, and he fights his way around! Fans duel, Bryan pulls as best he can, and then he grabs that far arm! Bryan copies ZSJ’s JIM BREAKS ARMBAR! But Okada still uses his legs to move around! Bryan CLUBS away on Okada with his good arm! Bryan then pushes Okada’s arm down with a foot! OKADA TAPS?!? BRYAN WINS!!!

My Thoughts:

Another big, long show but that’s par for the course from AEW. But it was also an awesome show, which is also standard for AEW. Really good stuff in the Zero Hour, and I feel like Stu VS ELP was the best of those four specifically. But I was a bit surprised LIJ won, as it felt like the United Empire has been building great momentum in AEW and ROH. Athena beating Billie was a foregone conclusion, though, as Athena is still ROH Women’s World Champion, and a Champion VS Champion of Athena VS Willow in the next round is going to be great stuff. Bit of a shame Adam Cole couldn’t have his match tonight, but it doesn’t sound like he was out with anything serious.

Great opener from MJF VS Tanahashi that of course MJF wins through cheating. As I said for Dynamite and Collision, they’re going to have great stuff through the tag tournament, and will surely have their title match at All In. Punk VS Kojima following it up was fairly logical, there is still a possible MJF VS Punk feud just waiting to happen, so Punk is going to build his ranking again. And this isn’t just kayfabe, but whether you love him or hate him, we should all appreciate that he was playing off the boos from the fans. Punk moving on in the tournament was of course where this was going, I can’t wait to see if it’s Samoa Joe or Roderick Strong for a big match of ROH guys in the second round.

Tonight’s Fatal 4 Way for the International Championship was perhaps on par with the AEW World Championship Fatal 4 Way we got from the Four Pillars. Such great pacing and creativity, and much like MJF’s win, a very clever opportunistic way for Cassidy to win and retain. Also good little post match talk between all the champs. ZSJ still has his ROH feud with Joe over “Who is best TV Champion?” and Shibata will surely handle Garcia in their own 1v1 match, and then maybe for All In or All Out, we get a wild Triple Threat Championship match, the man who gets pinned loses their belt so that no matter what, we get a double champion.

Sanada VS Jungle Boy was great stuff, but of course Sanada won to retain. It’s really more the NJPW title is not going on an AEW guy, not that JB wasn’t ready or whatever. Though at the same time, JB probably isn’t ready to be world champion. His Heel turn on Hook was pretty wild but also set up well, as it felt like he could’ve done it even before this. And an FTW Championship feud between these two could really help JB and Hook. Hook especially, as he hasn’t gotten much development, despite fans loving him as he is now. Hook doesn’t even need to do much more than to just talk and tell JB off before they have a killer match.

Really good 10 Man Tag, great story stuff, especially Eddie taking that superkick for Moxley and then Moxley not giving a damn about it. While the feud is BCC VS Elite and I would think we get Blood & Guts for like All In or All Out, I would love if we got Eddie VS Moxley to have it out between them. Elite winning here makes sense, because again, this has to spur on a third match, and it would just make sense if it was Blood & Guts. BCC already has experience in that, they and Elite could really have something wild in theirs.

Great women’s championship match, and while the Outcasts didn’t help Toni win, Toni cheating to win was the natural move. Willow will be fine losing, as again she has her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship and is still in the Owen Hart Cup. Nice touch of Skye and Britt both watching this. Britt VS Ruby will be great stuff, and Skye will have a great match against the winner, who I still feel is Ruby because the Outcasts will basically do the same thing for Ruby as they did here tonight.

Ospreay VS Omega, holy crap. Holy crap, Ospreay VS Omega. I had been saying Ospreay would win this title back so glad to see I was right, but I did not know they’d go this hard for it. They both got bloody, the desk smashing was a great callback to WrestleKingdom, and of course Don Callis got involved with the screwdriver, a callback to how he betrayed Omega. No Kota Ibushi showing up yet, maybe that’s on the road to Blood & Guts. And really good Six Man Tag from Le Suzuki Gods VS Stingobernables. Though the crowd might’ve been spent after Omega VS Ospreay. At the same time, Jericho and Naito weren’t quite in synch, got a bit sloppy near the end. But the Faces winning made sense, and everything adds to both a Jericho VS Sting feud but also Sammy wanting independence from Jericho.

And of course, that main event lived up to the hype. Both Bryan and Okada got all their moves in, and in a real Heel move, Bryan tricked us into thinking there was a concussion or some other problem, only to sucker Okada into the knee. Bryan winning was actually a bit of a surprise, but maybe more because of how. Okada tapping out feels very rare, so that’s big points to Bryan for pulling that off. Bryan can use this to inflate his ego, which could come crashing down should The Elite win in the blowoff faction match.
