The Royal Rampage!

The two ring, 20 man battle royal returns, and Darby Allin knows it well, being last year’s runner-up. But he’s also in this to make sure Swerve Strickland doesn’t win! They’re the first two out, one in the red ring and one in the blue, will either of them make it to the end?

We also have Jay Lethal joining Darby in the red, and Nick Wayne joining Swerve in the blue! Will Nick get revenge for Swerve making their match on Dynamite personal? The bell rings, and Darby rushes Lethal with a SHOTGUN Dropkick! Nick and Swerve rush each other, and they fire off CHOPS back and forth while Darby punches away on Lethal! Nick CHOPS and CHOPS then bobs ‘n’ weaves, to CHOP again! Lethal turns things around on Darby, Darby turns it back on Lethal! Nick does the same to Swerve but then Swerve RAMS Nick into the far corner! Swerve swings, misses, and Nicki GAMANGIRIS!

Darby ROCKS Lethal, RAMS into him, and Nick whips. Swerve reverses, Nick dodges and RANAS! Swerve staggers up, into an UPPERCUT! Nick kips up and fans fire up. As for Darby, he goes up and over in the corner, and then sends Lethal into buckles! Nick run sin but Swerve BOOTS! Swerve goes up to FLYING UPPERCUT! The countdown is here, and MINORU SUZUKI is next! The Meanest Man in the World is hard to beat in any match type, but Darby RAMS into Lethal again and again! Which ring is Suzuki assigned to? The red ring! Fans fire up, Swerve tries to dump Nick out but Nick holds on!

Suzuki saunters over, and Darby is ready! Suzuki waits for his song to get to the right part, and Lethal CLOBBERS Darby! Fans fire up as Suzuki paces, and steps in at “KAZE NI NARE~!” Fans fire up and Suzuki stares Lethal down. Lethal wants Suzuki to work with him against Darby, and Suzuki agrees! They stomp mudholes into Darby while Swerve goes to throw Nick! Nick fights back, goes to throw Swerve, but Swerve fights back! The countdown returns, and for the blue ring, it’s THE MACHINE, Brian Cage! Swerve has reinforcements now! Suzuki & Lethal mug Darby, Cage RAMS Nick against ropes!

Cage whips, Nick reverses but Cage ducks the kick to pump handle! Nick flips through, but Cage KNEES him away! Cage UPPERCUTS, clotheslines, and SAIDOS! Fans boo but Prince Nana loves it! Swerve & Cage hug, but then Darby turns things around on Suzuki and Lethal! Now Suzuki is mad! Lethal says that was an accident! The countdown is done again, and for the red ring, it’s ETHAN PAGE! All Ego rushes down, slides in, and he fires off haymakers on Lethal! Suzuki stomps Darby, Ethan backs Lethal down and whips. Lethal reverses but Ethan CLOBBERS him! Ethan scoops to POWERSLAM!

Fans fire up, Cage & Swerve mug Nick but Ethan fires off on Lethal! Suzuki stalks up to CLUB Ethan! Ethan hits Suzuki, Suzuki hits back! They brawl, and the countdown is done! For the blue ring, it’s KOMANDER! Komander hurries up and to the top rope! Komander eggs everyone on, and then tightrope walks. Cage takes the bait and gets a kick! Komander springboards hops over Cage to TORNADO DDT Swerve! Cage whips Komander but dodges the handspring! Kmoander slides under to tilt-o-whirl RANA! And then he goes up and up and FLYING FOREARMS! The countdown is done, and for the red ring, it’s THE BUTCHER!

The Butcher slides in and he CLOBBERS Ethan! Cage POWERSLAMS Komander! Suzuki goes after Darby but Darby RAMS Suzuki! Swerve whips Nick but Nick goes up and over to DROPKICK! Lethal CHOPS Butcher, fires forearms, and the countdown finishes again. For the blue ring, it’s BIG BILL! Fans fire up as the human skyscraper storms his way down and he SPLASHES Nick! And SPLASHES Komander! And BOOTS Nick! And gives Komander a SCRAPBUSTER! Lethal CHOPS Ethan, Ethan lifts Lethal but Lethal slips free! Lethal dodge to handspring, but Ethan catches him to TOSS and ELIMINATE Lethal!!

Sonjay freaks out but then Lethal goes to drag Ethan out! Ethan holds on, but Suzuki has an ANKLE LOCK! Suzuki DUMPS and ELIMINATES Ethan! Suzuki eggs on Butcher and they start throwing forearms! Bill stands on Nick’s neck while fans boo, and Cage CLOBBERS Komander! Suzuki reels Butcher in, Gotch hold, but Butcher resists! Butcher dumps Suzuki out and ELIMINATES him!! And the countdown finishes, so here comes The Blade! The Superbad Squad are now together, and they drag Darby out under the ring, to then SWING him into railing! And again! And even as Rampage goes picture in picture!

The refs reprimand but Butcher & Blade keep on Darby. Bill scuffs Nick, swaggers about, and then Blade puts Darby in the ring. Cage stomps Komander down, Bill UPPERCUTS Nick and mocks the fans. Blade digs his knee into Darby at the ropes, Nick fights back against Bill, but Bill DECKS Nick! Bill stands on Nick and taunts the fans while Butcher & Blade continue to mug Darby. The countdown finishes, and here comes BROTHER ZAY! Isiah Kassidy hurries down the ramp, slides into the blue ring, and he springboards to CROSSBODY Swerve! Butcher & Blade CLOBBER Darby, while Kassidy pulls off POETRY IN MOTION!

But Cage CLOBBERS Kassidy! Swerve STOMPS Kassidy! Kassidy hits back, Nick ROCKS Cage, but Bill taunts Komander. Komander slides under, the countdown ends again, and for the red ring, it’s TOA LIONA! Another member of the Mogul Embassy, and he has no love lost for Darby. Butcher & Blade get him to work with them, and he HEADBUTTS Darby down! They take turns throwing forearms and Darby falls. Bill & Cage double whip to DOUBLE ELBOW Nick! But Komander goes to dump Swerve! Butch & Liona TOSS Darby! The countdown finishes again, and for the blue ring, it’s MATT SYDAL!

The Third Eye Reborn takes a moment, given the giants in the blue ring. Sydal jumps over Bill to MISSILE DROPKICK Cage! Sydal blocks Bill’s boot to ENZIGURI! Swerve runs in, he dodges one kick but not the CALF KICK! Kassidy goes after Swerve, Butcher & Blade have turned on Liona! Liona holds onto ropes, Sydal & Kassidy coordinate, GIN & JUICE!! The countdown is done, and BISHOP KAUN heads to the red ring! He hurries to reinforce Liona by giving CHOPS and forearms to Butcher & Blade! Blade kicks low while Cage CLOBBERS Kassidy! Cage TOSSES and ELIMINATES Kassidy!

Liona runs over Blade & Butcher! Then he and Kaun CLOSE THE GATES on Blade! Bill & Cage CLOBBER Sydal! The Gates of Agony keep on Blade but Butcher makes the save with CHOPS! These teams brawl, Darby keeps his distance. Cage stomps Komander, Bill chokes Nick. Butcher & Blade hold on, but then the Gates BOOT them both and ELIMINATE them both! The countdown is done, here comes MATT HARDY! The last man of the Hardy Party is here, and he hurries into the blue ring. Hardy fires off on Swerve, bumps him off buckles, “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” Hardy fires up and kicks Cage, NECKBREAKER!

Liona CLOBBERS Darby! Hardy fires hands on Bill! Bill shoves Hardy, Hardy dodges to kick low, TWIST OF FATE! Swerve spins in, but into a SIDE EFFECT! Darby flounders around, dodges the Gates, and the countdown is done. For the red ring, it’s the JAS’s Daddy Magic! Matt Menard takes his time going down to the ring, he’s in no rush to face the Gates of Agony. Cage TOSSES and ELIMINATES Sydal! Swerve and Hardy brawl, fans rally for “DADDY MAGIC!” as he steps in. Menard gets those pecs popping, then he goes after Darby! He wants to show he’s on their side, so Kaun & Liona help stomp Darby.

The countdown is done, and here comes JEFF JARRETT! The Last Outlaw brings Karen AND Satnam with him! And he goes after Hardy! They brawl, Bill CLUBS Hardy and Jarrett stomps away! Menard then turns on the Gates! He brawls with Liona but Kaun helps out! Jarrett struts around, then he DECKS Hardy! The countdown is back, and the last one for the red ring is the JAS’s Cool Hand Ange, Angelo Parker! Parker sees Liona and Kaun, smooths his hair, and fires off haymakers! Fans rally for Parker, and he DROPKICKS Kaun! And DROPKICKS Liona! But Kaun CLOBBERS Parker! Komander is a backpack on Bill but he claws at the eyes!

Cage drags Komander away from Bill, to GERMAN SUPLEX! The Gates make the JAS suffer, and the final man for the blue ring is… JAKE HAGER! The Big Hurt storms to the ring, he can’t help Parker & Menard but he goes after Jarrett as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Hager throws heavy hands, and tries to dump the Outlaw out! Parker fires off on Liona, Swerve brawls with Nick, The Gates mug Parker. The JAS fire back but the Gates CLUB them both down. Cage CLOBBERS Nick, drags Komander up, Hardy throws hands on Bill. The Gates go to throw Menard but Parker makes the save! Parker stomps Kaun, throws hands on Liona but Liona ROCKS Parker! Darby stays out of the brawling, Swerve stands on Nick’s head, Menard throws down hands in the corner! Hager, Bill and Cage all stare down as the biggest men in the blue ring. Hager ROCKS Cage, ROCKS Bill, repeat!

Bill choke grips but Hager breaks free to ELBOW Cage and ROCK Bill! And SPINEBUSTER Cage! And then he lifts Bill, but Bill fights free! Cage GERMAN SUPELXES Hager! Bill choke grips and SHOVES Hager at ropes! Hager holds on, but Komander helps out to ELIMINATE Hager!! But then Bill grabs Komander! Bill didn’t want no help! Bill and Cage work together, CHOKE LIFT COMPLETE SHOT! They drag Komander up and TOSS him out to ELIMINATE him! The JAS and the Gates continue to go back and forth, Jarrett fights off Hardy, but then JAS and Gates realize they should all go after Darby! And so they do!

Liona drags Darby up, coordinates with Kaun and the JAS, and they all hoist Darby up! But Darby fights free, ducks under, but they shove him away! So The JAS go to turn on the Gates! Darby runs to DOUBLE SHOTGUN! The JAS DUMP the Gates out! Kaun & Liona stay on the apron, and Liona HEADBUTTS! Kaun HEADBUTTS! They DUMP the JAS out and ELIMINATE them both! But then Darby SHOTGUNS the Gates! Liona stays up to get in and CLOBBER Darby! Hardy hits a TWIST OF FATE, and he TOSSES Jarrett to ELIMINATE him! But then Bill SPLASHES! Cage has Hardy, coordinates with swerve, F5 CUTTER!!

Bill clotheslines Hardy out to ELIMINATE him! Fans boo but no more Hardy Party. Nick is all alone with Bill, Cage & Swerve, and Darby is all alone with the Gates of Agony. Bill hoists Nick up, SKYSCRAPER- NO, Nick GUILLOTINES! He drags Bill over, so Swerve DUMPS and ELIMINATES Bill!! Swerve shrugs but Cage is upset! Cage and Bill were doing so good as a duo, but swerve says this is still every man for himself. Nick gets outta the blue and goes into the red, to DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK the Gates! Fans fire up as Nick regroups with his mentor and handsprings to STUNNER!

Darby and Nick DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE Kaun out to ELIMINATE him! Nick then returns to the blue ring, and kicks off Cage to SLICED BREAD Swerve! Then he ENZIGURIS Cage! Darby goes up the corner, COFFIN- POUNCE from Liona!!! Fans lose their minds for that! Meanwhile, Cage swings on Nick but Nick dodges, the DISCUS takes out Swerve!! Nick then baits Cage into a spin and shoot around, STUNNER! Cage staggers, Nick runs up but is put on the apron! Cage runs in but Nick dumps him out! Nick slips into the ring to GAMANGIRI! Swerve runs up, but Nick sends him at Cage! Cage blocks the boot!

Nana freaks out, his Embassy is falling apart! Nick DUMPS them both out, and ELIMINATES Cage! Swerve holds on with a finger! Liona is unsure what to do, he hurries to help Swerve but Nana tells him to stay on Darby! Swerve GERMAN SUPLEXES Nick but Nick is right up to ROUNDHOUSE! And then goes up the corner, but Swerve catches him to a fireman’s carry! Swerve DUMPS Nick on the top rope, HOTSHOTS him and ELIMINATES him! Swerve is Mr. Blue, but then Darby dumps Liona out and ELIMINATES him!! Darby is Mr. Red! Fans fire up and the refs keep the Embassy from doing anything more!

Fans are thunderous as Swerve meets Darby in his ring, for a HOUSE CALL! Swerve snarls, fans rally up, and Nana says this is over! Swerve stalks Darby, and he eggs Darby on. Darby crawls to ropes, drags himself up, and Nana is giddy like a kid on Christmas. Swerve runs, but Darby tosses him up and out! Swerve holds on, but Darby BITES the fingers!! Swerve holds on with the other hand, and Nana gets in with Darby’s skateboard! Nana SMACKS Darby on the back!! Darby glares at Nana, and fans tell Nana he messed up! Darby grabs Nana by the head, but Swerve CHOKES Darby with Darby’s own chain!

Swerve torture racks to a BACKBREAKER, then Nana puts the skateboard down, wheels up! Swerve has Darby up top, and brings him around, POWEROMB on the skateboard!! Darby writhes and fans lose their minds, but Swerve is still seething. Swerve drags Darby up, to TOSS Darby! But Darby holds on!! Darby is still in this but Swerve goes up the corner! Fans rally, Swerve jumps, but he blocks Darby’s boots! Swerve stands Darby up to suplex, but Darby lands safe inside! HOTSHOT! Swerve wobbles, Darby runs! Darby DIVES to take Swerve down!! Swerve hits the floor, Darby wins!!

Winner: Darby Allin (advances to AEW All Out)

Darby started the match, he finished the match, and he WON the match! He will have his shot at the AEW TNT Championship, but will he be ready for Christian Cage’s Right Hand of Destruction?

Six Man Tag: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn VS Johnny TV, QT Marshall & Aaron Solo!

Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Daddy Ass may have their rematch for the AEW World Trios Championships tomorrow night on Collision, but they’ve got some business to handle first! And of course, Max has a diss track! “Who’s the reject from the movie Barbie? I saw her naked now I’m thinking Arby’s! Damn, I wouldn’t want ta be ya, you turned Johnny TV to Johnny Gonorrhea! Ya so full o’ crap, it adds up! Isn’t this the chick from 2 Girls 1 Cup? Damn, I didn’t know! And you’re such a great rapper cuz you’ve got such a heavy flow! Period.” Bowens takes the mic to say, “BOSTOOOON~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” And he does~!

Words have been said and shots have been fired, but will The Acclaimed make Johnny wish he had retired? Or will there be plenty of tricks up QTV’s proverbial sleeves?

The trios sort out and fans sing “OH~ Scissor Me Daddy~!” as Billy starts against Johnny. The two circle, but then Johnny backs off to tag in QT. Billy doesn’t sweat QT, and fans boo QT. Fans chant “QT SUCKS!” and QT is annoyed. QT and Billy circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Billy headlocks, QT powers out but Billy runs him over! Fans cheer as Billy shows off them hips. Things speed up, Billy hurdles but QT hurdles! QT runs but slips out of a scoop! But Billy denies the cutter to kick low! But QT runs to a corner so Billy can’t get his Famouser. QT says he’s too smart for Daddy Ass, but then Billy says “SUCK IT!”

Fans cheer, QT swings but misses, and Billy DECKS him! Tag to Caster and he brings QT around to scoop and SLAM! Bowens goes up, Caster holds the legs open, but Solo goes after Billy! Billy DECKS him for it! Johnny runs in but Bowens CROSSBODIES him down! QT rushes Caster but Caster BACKHANDS! Bowens hits the KOTARO KRUSHER! Billy clotheslines QT up and out! Fans fire up with The Acclaimed, and they SCISSOR FINGER~! Fans fire up as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Caster goes out to put QT in the ring, stalks him to ropes, and whips him. QT reverses but Caster holds ropes! QT runs in but into a BOOT! Caster dodges Solo’s cheap shot and hip tosses him in! QT distracts the ref so Johnny can SUPERKICK Caster! The ref then has to get Solo back to the corner, but QT tags Johnny in. Johnny KNEES Caster down! The ref reprimands everyone but Team QTV says to do the spinner thing! Johnny handstands, and with the help of QT & Solo, he HELICOPTERS on top of Caster! Then he TWISTS to grind the ribs! Solo gives Caster a cheap shot, and Team QTV all pose together.

Johnny stalks Caster, kicks him in the corner, JABS and UPPERCUTS, then has Caster in the corner. Tag to Solo and they mug Caster. Solo bumps Caster off buckles, stomps away, and Harley even helps him with his mouth spray, but  Solo lets off as the ref counts. Solo drags Caster with a facelock and grinds him down. Bowens & Billy rally with the fans, and Caster fights up! But Solo CLUBS him down! Solo drags Caster up, tags QT in, and they mug Caster some more. QT DECKS Caster, stays between him and The Acclaimed corner, and Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and both Solo and Caster crawl! Hot tags to Johnny and Billy! Johnny stays away, though, so Billy rallies on Solo and QT instead! Billy just DECKS them again and again, then scares Johnny off again. Billy DECKS Solo, catches QT, but Johnny AMBUSHES Billy! But Bowens fires off haymaker after haymaker, scissors himself, and then DECKS Johnny right out of the ring! QT runs in but into a kick and flurry of elbows! Bowens just fires off again and again and again, then CLUBS QT down! Johnny returns, half nelson and ROUNDHOUSE! Johnny runs, but Bowens follows, dodges, and fires off the Five Tool Strike Fest!

Solo storms up but Bowens tosses him away! Johnny returns, he dodges Caster and Billy to DOUBLE LARIAT them down! QT goes after Bowens on the outside, and sends him into railing! FLYING CHUCK for Billy! QT hits the DIAMOND CUTTER! Solo is up top, DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS!! Cover, TWO!!! Billy survives and fans fire up! Johnny drags Billy to a drop zone, he tags Solo in and QT helps out. They get Billy’s legs open and Solo goes up! QTV calls for scissoring, but Caster & Bowens CLOBBER QT & Johnny! Solo still leaps, but into Billy’s ONE AND ONLY!! And then the ARRIVAL! And then the MIC DROP!! Cover, The Acclaimed win!

QTV has been canceled (not really, unfortunately) and Bowens gets the mic to ask Bean Town how they’re feeling. The fans cheer, and Bowens likes that they’re fire dup, because so are The Acclaimed. Saturday, Collision, these three rise to the top of the Trios Division and take home the gold! Because EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED!! Will Caster, Bowens & Billy find a way to stop the House of Black? Or will the House always win?

“Tonight, Kris Statlander defends the TBS Championship against The Problem, Marina Shafir.” Kris remembers being Marina’s first AEW opponent, and unfortunately for Marina, the result will be the same. Not only will Kris be victorious, but she’ll still be the TBS Champion. Shafir says she doesn’t care about the past, Problems don’t care about plans. She will put Kris in a lot of pain, and that will make her very happy. Mark says it looks like there’s been enough talk, it’s TIME for the main event!

AEW TBS Championship: Kris Statlander VS Marina Shafir!

The Galaxy’s Greatest has been building her legacy as just the second-ever woman to hold this title! But will she be able to solve the Problem that has stepped to her? Or will Shafir be the third-ever woman to hold the title?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who wins all the beans here in Bean Town!

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, fans rally for “STAT-LAN-DER!” as she and Marina tie up. They go low, Marina shifts around to a wasitlock but Kris wrenches out. Marina headlocks, Kris powers out and runs her over! Kris flexes and fans fire up! Marina scowls, rushes in, but Kris gets around to waistlock and SLAM her down! Marina fights up, wrenches out, and goes for a leg. Kris fights that but Marina fights the suplex to knee low! And again! Marina has the facelock and steps over for more torque, only for Kris to stand up and RAM Marina into buckles! Kris is free, and ROUNDHOUSES!

Marina BOOTS Kris, fires off fast hands, but Kris ROCKS her! And swings, but Marina elbows back! And SAYANAGI! Fans fire up as Marina brings Kris up, to a BIG back suplex! High stack, TWO! Marina circles around Kris, drags her to a full mount for some ground ‘n’ pound! Kris tries to get away but Marina has a chinlock! Marina then shifts around, uses her legs to hook an arm, and she has a half nelson of sorts. Marina mocks the fans applauding, and she stans on Kris’ face! The ref reprimands and Marina scuffs Kris as she lets off. Marina KICKS Kris in the back, then KICKS her in the chest!

Kris scowls but Marina gives her more kicks! Kris roars, blocks a kick, and ROCKS Marina with shot after shot! And then shifts around, Electric Chair Lifts, and INVERTED ALABAMA SLAMS her! Fans fire up with Kris, and she drags Marina up and whips her to a corner. Kris runs in to UPPERCUT, then goes side to side to KNEE WASH! Marina wobbles, Kris reels her in! Suplex, stall, and then SLAM! Cover, TWO! Marina is hanging tough but the fans still rally behind Kris. Fans rally as Kris drags Marina to a gut wrench! Kris tucks Marina, but Marina rolls through! Marina steps through, has the legs, STANDING FIGURE FOUR!

Kris endures, keeps her shoulders off the mat, and pops her leg free to kick away at Marina! Marina staggers away, comes back, but Kris dodges to DISCUS LARIAT! Fans fire up as Kris gut wrenches and tucks again, FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER! Cover, Kris wins!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Mama Statlander is 7-0 as she solves this Problem! But then, who will be next to see if Kris is still the Galaxy’s Greatest?

My Thoughts:

Really good Rampage, and I do commend them for having the women’s match as the main event. At the same time, it is more of a veiled consolation prize after the Royal Rampage took the majority of the episode. Still a solid match from Kris and Marina, and Kris was of course winning. And it is a little clever that her finisher name changes to fit whatever night she’s wrestling on. I’m just gonna call it “Fight Night Fever” from now on since we all know it’s the same move no matter what. And great Six Man Tag from Acclaimed VS QTV, though I did not expect Caster to go quite so “John Cena rapping on Lita” with his diss track on Harley. Acclaimed win here, of course, and who knows how things go on Collision for the Trios titles.

Then speaking of the Royal Rampage, it was really good stuff, but personally, that’s bad booking to not get more out of Team Triple J VS Hardy Party in this battle royal. They helped hype up this match, they were acting like this was gonna be a major step in their feud, but the only interactions we really got were Ethan and Lethal early, and Hardy and Jarrett late, and honestly weak sauce at that. The major focus turned to Darby Allin and Nick Wayne VS The Mogul Embassy, which was all good stuff, such as the tension between Swerve and Cage over what happened with Big Bill.

But in the end, Darby and Swerve being the last two was fitting, and it is a great move for Darby to win. Darby can have a great build with Christian Cage and Luchasaurus over the next month, Nick and maybe even Sting getting involved to counteract how Captain Charisma helps out Luchasaurus. Also, Scorpio Sky might get in the mix since he was eyeing the TNT title last week on Collision. Who knows how the actual title match goes, but we all know it’ll be great action.
