The bell rings and teams flood the ring! They start brawling with whoever is in front of them, and that leads to the Gates of Agony isolating Ryan Nemeth while Peter Avalon fights off Action. The Dark Order is after Darius, the Outrunners brawl with Butcher & Blade, and The Righteous go after Best Friends. The Outrunners TOSS Blade up and out, but Blade holds onto the ropes! The Outrunners spin around and pose, but Blade skins the cat, and Butcher CLOBBERS both Outrunners! Butcher TOSSES Turbo to Blade’s KICK, and the Gates have Truth! The Butcher & Blade double clothesline Turbo up and out to ELIMINATE him!

Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona OPEN THE GATES on Truth Magnum! Then they stands him back up to TOSS him out and ELIMINATE him! No more Outrunners! Butcher & Blade brawl with Liona & Kaun! Matt Hardy stomps Vincent and Jeff Hardy plays defense. Liona HEADBUTTS Blade, Kaun stomps Butcher, and Nemeth rains fists down on Trent! Davis & Fletcher say okay, but then Silver drops back as Trent fights off Aussie Open! They still double wrench, and DOUBLE FOREARM Trent down! Silver adds the SUPERKICK! Fans boo but Silver flexes. Fletcher & Davis are upset, they start talking trash on Jericho over Ospreay beating him at All In. Jericho says he still whooped Ospreay pretty good, but then Fletcher starts shoving! Jericho shoves back, now he’s in a 2v1 scrum with Aussie Open! Fans fire up, cuz here comes Sammy Guevara! And Floyd the Baseball Bat! Le Sex Gods get Aussie Open to back off, but is this only going to get worse between these teams?

Mike Santana speaks.

Formerly just “Santana,” Mike sets up a chair to take a seat. “So to understand this story, I have to take you back to the very beginning of when I walked into this place.” Video footage reminds us of when he and Ortiz, wearing masks based on former presidents, shoved the Lucha Brothers off a ladder! “Four months after making my debut here, my dad passed away. And that caused a whirlwind that was determined to knock me off my feet. And guess what? It pretty much did. It caused a closet full of skeletons I kept locked up in the trenches of my mind to burst wide open. Everything that I worked hard to eliminate and get rid of and run from, it came crashing right in front of me.

“Fast-forward two and a half years later. Through anger and discontent and unhappiness, every negative word that you can imagine, I stepped foot into the dreaded Blood & Guts match, on June 29th, 2022. And on that day, my career came to a screeching halt.” Footage of that match points out when Santana went down with a leg injury. Everything Santana dedicated his life to was taken from him. Everything he has been through has produced the man that sits before you today. “Come take a walk on this journey with me. I got a story to tell.”

The teams sort out and Vikingo starts with Gringo. Fans rally up, the two circle and then go face to face. Gringo shoves Vikingo, then gets around him to SLAM him down and flip him over! Vikingo kips up, handsprings through the hip toss, then trips Gringo! Gringo headscissors but Vikingo handsprings through! Gringo throws Vikingo again but Vikingo arm-drags in return! Both men stand, run in, and Gringo arm-drags! They go again, Vikingo dodges to mule kick! Vikingo runs, Gringo pops him up, but Vikingo stands on Gringo’s shoulders! Vikingo drops to RANA, but Gringo handsprings through! Chicago his thunderous for this display of lucha libre!

Kip even applauds, but things get going again! Vikingo BOOTS Gringo’s clothesline away to mule kick a leg! Tag to Nick and they DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! Gringo tags in Kip and fans rally as Kip walks up to Nick. Kip nods and offers a handshake, but then kicks low and whips! Nick ducks ‘n’ dodges and RANAS! Fans fire up as Nick then UPPERCUTS Kip down! Nick handsprings up and Kip tags Gringo. Gringo swings, misses, and Nick RAMS into Gringo. Nick runs but Penelope stands on the apron! The ref reprimands, Penelope says she needs help with her top, but this allows Kip to trip Vikingo off the apron!

Gringo CLUBS Nick on the back, whips him out of the ring, and Kip is there to PENALTY KICK! Kip then ARABIAN PRESSES Nick down! Fans fire up and Kip says, “Who’s the daddy now?” Kip drags Nick up to put him in and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Gringo drags Nick to center and covers, TWO! Gringo brings Nick around, tags in Kip, and they mug Nick. Kip ROCKS Nick, has him in a corner, and whips him corner to corner. Kip runs in, Nick dodges and rolls Kip up! TWO, and Kip kicks low! Kip drags Nick back up, reels him in, and Kip suplexes, but Nick fights it to a cradle! TWO!! Kip escapes, swings, and he CLOBBERS Nick again! Kip drags Nick up, tags in Gringo, and they mug Nick again. Gringo whips Nick to ropes, trophy lifts him, and then THRWOS him down! Cover, TWO!! Nick is still in this, but Gringo keeps on him. Tag to Kip and they mug Nick again.

Kip stomps a mudhole into Nick, the ref counts, and Kip backs off. Kip drags Nick up, tags Gringo back in, and they mug Nick a little more. Kip puts Nick up top, Gringo climbs up to join him, SUPER SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! Nick survives and Gringo is shocked! Gringo tags Kip, and Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and Kip covers Nick, TWO! Nick is still in this after enduring all commercial break, but Kip puts him in the corner. Kip sits Nick down, taunts Vikingo, then runs in to CANNONBALL! Tag to Gringo, they drag Nick into the drop zone and Gringo goes up top. Fans fire up as Gringo MOONSAULTS onto Nick’s knees! Nick saves himself and hurries for his corner! Kip runs in to grab Nick’s feet but Nick BOOTS him away! Hot tag to Vikingo! Vikingo springboards over Gringo to MISSILE DROPKICK Kip! Vikingo then dodges Gringo, comes back and tilt-o-whirl arm-drags! Then he SCREW HIGH KICKS Kip!

Fans fire up and Vikingo dodges Gringo again. Gringo is stuck in ropes, Vikingo ENZIGURIS him down! Then he goes to the far corner, tightrope walks to SPRINGBOARD MISSILE DROPKICK Gringo in the ropes!! Cover, Kip breaks it in time! Nick runs back in to CROSSBODY Kip and himself up and out! Vikingo puts Gringo up top, ENZIGURIS again, then climbs in from the outside. They go to the very top rope, for Vikingo to SUPER POISON-RANA!!! Fans are thunderous again and Vikingo aims again. Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia, Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker.

Renee Paquette is with the former Jericho Appreciation Society members, and brings up their Trios match on Collision, where they will be challenging The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn for the AEW World Trios Championships. What is the plan heading into a match of this magnitude? Parker says the plan is simple: the last year and a half, these three have taken a backseat to make sure Chris Jericho was successful. But here’s a question for everyone else: “What do we have to show for it? We got a big, heapin’, steamin’, stinkin’ pile of NOTHIN’!” Menard repeats “NOTHIN’!”

On the biggest show of pro-wrestling history, the three of them were sitting at home! NO MORE! Time these three got back to doing what they do best! And Garcia says what they do best is returning home. These three as one, that’s home. This is how they started, this is how they’ll finish. Garcia is thinking that maybe they were better off without those leather pants. Maybe they were better off with trunks, and better off being professional w- Menard has Garcia hold on there. None of that matters! Jericho? Doesn’t matter! All In? All Out? DOESN’T MATTER! The only thing that matters is that Saturday Night Collision, these three right here are going to the Promised Land! How d’ya like that!?

Renee Paquette has a sit-down interview with Roderick Strong.

She thanks him for taking this time, and wants to get right to it. She would love to know what Roddy’s thoughts and motivations were, when in the main event of AEW All In London, Wembley Stadium- Roddy says all that is between him and Adam Cole. Oh, okay. But this still affects a lot of other people, like- Roddy repeats that this is between him and Adam. Adam knows what he’s done. And what does that mean? “It means that Adam knows what he did, and if you don’t know what that is, I can’t help you.”

Renee understands Roddy is in a tough spot right now but she doesn’t appreciate him wanting this time only to say nothing. Well Roddy doesn’t appreciate that Renee is sitting here questioning him like he’s on trial! Roddy will tell his own story on his own time, his own way. Roddy sighs, and says no, this is done. He takes his mic off, tells Renee to ask Adam questions about this, since she’s so~ concerned. Roddy leaves with Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, where will this issue with their former friend end?

The teams sort out and Willow starts against Anna. They circle, tie up, and Anna slips around to SLAP Willow on the back. Anna taunts Willow but Willow whips. Anna reverses but Willow KICKS her back, then CHOPS her back! Anna scrambles away to tag in Taya. Taya shows off the new neon gold hair color, runs in at Willow, but Willow wrenches her around to reel her in, but Taya fights the suplex! Willow fights the suplex, cradles, TWO! They both stand but Taya ROCKS Willow! Taya reels Willow in, but Willow suplexes first! Fans fire up and Willow fires up. Willow runs in to back body block, and tag to Skye!

Fans fire up as Willow sends Sky in, handspring forearm smash! Then double snapmare and DOUBLE BUZZSAWS! Cover, TWO! Skye keeps on Taya and drags her over to tag in Willow. Taya slips down to chicken wing Willow! Anna gets in, SUPERKICK for Willow! Taya then pushes Willow down to drag Skye up. They taunt Chicago about what’s gonna happen to their hometown girl! Taya chicken wings Skye, Anna aims, but Skye moves! The SUPERKICK hits Taya!! Fans fire up as Anna freaks out! Skye SUPERKICKS Anna! And then runs to hop on, CODE BLUE! Cover, Skye & Willow win!

But Taya CLOBBERS Skye! She’s a sore loser, that’s for sure! Willow runs Taya off, then helps Skye sit up. La Wera Loca shouts that Chicago sucks, but will she have another run in with Chicago’s own in the future? Will Skye & Willow shine with gold soon enough?

My Thoughts:

A really good Rampage here, especially as a go-home to All Out. The tag team battle royal opening was a fine choice, as AEW always does a good job writing these. I did not think it’d be The Dark Order winning out, but when it came down to it, I figured Aussie Open wasn’t winning because it’d make their loss at All In mean even less than it already does. Still feels like a missed opportunity for The Kingdom to challenge MJF & Cole, adding to the story of Cole and his many friendships, but after Roddy’s passive aggressive promo here tonight, maybe he and The Kingdom screw MJF & Cole out of those ROH Tag titles.

What an interesting move having Aussie Open going after Jericho on commentary. It’s not like Ospreay lost at All In, they should just leave Jericho alone. But the confrontation escalated, now we’re probably getting Le Sex Gods VS Aussie Open on Dynamite as part of Jericho’s story with Sammy. And really good promo from former JAS members ahead of their Trios title match. But if Moxley wasn’t a Heel, I would’ve said Garcia should be careful dancing like that at Moxley’s wife, Renee, or the BCC would be coming after them. I did like Garcia wanting to say he’s a pro-wrestler but getting cut off, maybe they spark that story up again soon.

Great filler tag of Vikingo & Nick Wayne VS Gringo & Kip, though I wonder if it was supposed to be Darby & Nick as a tune-up for All Out. It’s been reported, and the commentary even partly confirmed, that Darby’s back feels real bad after All In. Though, duh, he did a Coffin Drop right onto the lid of a “solid iron casket,” which given that it dented was probably more aluminum or some other slightly lesser metal. But still, doing the many falls Darby’s done, I’m surprised he hasn’t felt beat up before this. Hopefully he or someone close to him helps him realize to do less of those nasty “missed Coffin Drop” spots so he can keep going.

Also good filler singles match of Hangman VS The Bounty Hunter. Bryan seems to be in good shape, he has a handle on this character, maybe we see more of him in the near future. And really good tag match in the main event with Skye & Willow naturally winning given Skye’s the hometown hero and AEW actually likes hometown heroes winning. Taya going after Skye after could lead to a 1v1 feud of their own, and there are still lots of possibilities when it comes to the AEW Women’s World and AEW TBS Championships. Willow as the 2023 Queen of Harts, I’d love for her to step up to Saraya should Shida detour into a feud with Britt. And Skye has beef with Ruby Soho, so if Ruby takes the TBS title off Kris, Skye could move right up as a challenger to Ruby.
