The Wizard is still in town after what went down on Dynamite with him, Sammy, the Don Callis Family and more. The fans sing Judas for Jericho as he goes to the ring, and he gets the mic. “HEY HEY! HEY HEY!” The fans echo “HEY~!” and he says well alright. Orlando is hot tonight! Welcome to Rampage! They had a huge night on Dynamite, when Sammy QUIT the Don Callis Family, and of course they had to game up on him, so Jericho came out to help. Then Sting & Darby came out to help them. Which leads to the HUGE 8 Man Tag at Worlds End! For the first time ever, Sting and Jericho team up!
The reason: After Jericho and Sting had No Holds Barred with Sammy and Darby, Sting called Jericho and said even though Sting doesn’t like Jericho, he respects Jericho. If Jericho ever needed anything, Sting would be there for him. And Sting is a man of his word, so he had Jericho’s back. Jericho has a lot of respect for Sting, too. But before going to Worlds End, Jericho wants to figure out a few things with Sammy. So if Sammy is here, Jericho wants to talk things out here in the ring tonight. Here comes Sammy! Fans cheer as the Spanish God makes his way to the ring, a mic of his own in hand.
Fans cheer for Sammy and Jericho says they love Sammy here in Orlando! And Jericho’s always been a fan of Sammy’s, a supporter of Sammy’s. A few months ago, they had a great match in Arthur Ashe Stadium. But instead of celebrating it, Sammy turned his back on Jericho to join the Don Callis Family. Jericho wants to ask him man to man, face to face, “Why?” Fans echo “Why? Why? Why?” Sammy tells Jericho that it is hard being in Jericho’s shadow. Jericho is the EIGHT-TIME World Champion. Name any accolade out there, Jericho’s done it all. Fans cheer that.
So maybe somewhere along the way, Sammy blamed Jericho for why Sammy wasn’t where he wanted to be. Sammy felt he needed more, to get more, and Jericho was holding him back, when in reality, Sammy held himself back. Sammy needs to stop blaming others and look inward. It’s time to bust his ass and become the man that he knows he is. They had the baby, Sammy was out with concussion, so he’s just had months to watch, think, and reflect. Now Sammy knows he IS that man that he should’ve been, and the good friend Jericho was to him. So all Sammy can offer is an apology. Fans cheer that!
Fans want these two to “Hug It Out!” Jericho accepts the apology, and wants to say all that back. He is also sorry, and here’s why. Jericho knows sometimes he can be controlling, maybe tried to push Sammy in a certain direction. But he is still Sammy’s fan. He brought Sammy to AEW, into the Inner Circle, into the Jericho Appreciation Society, and why he has Sammy here now. Jericho knows Callis can be a manipulative SOB, that Callis likes to leech off of you guys who doubt themselves. That’s not Sammy. Jericho has always believed in Sammy and he always will.
So Jericho wants to ask Sammy this. They have the 8 Man Tag at Worlds End. But after that, Jericho still has the title shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. He needs a partner. So Jericho wants to ask Sammy, will Sammy reunite with Jericho and truly be Le Sex Gods? Fans cheer that! “YES! YES! YES!” Sammy HUGS Jericho! The fans fire up! Le Sex Gods are back, baby! Sammy does his spin and they pose together! Will they get to pose with those tag titles in the New Year? Or will Starks, Morrissey, Hobbs & Takeshita look to end things at Worlds End?
Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia & Matthew Menard.
Renee Paquette is with Red Death & Daddy Magic, and brings up the huge win in the Continental Classic’s last round. We all know it was a bumpy road for Garcia along the way, but- Menard interrupts and says yeah, it was bumpy. But that’s not the whole story, now is it? Biggest win of Daniel Garcia’s career, right? That’s what happened last Saturday on Collision, we can all agree to that. Taking a win away from the House of Black! But Menard isn’t sure what it is about Brody King, “you big dumb bastard,” but King couldn’t stand it! Menard had to watch ringside as his “son” gets blows rained upon him! What is going on!?
Garcia calms Menard, and tells House of Black that he is absolutely sick of people like them coming in and thinking they can just walk all over people like him and Menard. No more. They’re gonna fight back. Maybe not tonight, tomorrow or next week, but they get the lick back, and that’s a promise. When and where will the former JAS tear down the House?

The Runaway doesn’t get why the former QTV correspondent gone completely batty is with The Outcasts, but Saraya promises this will work out for the better. Then will Ruby rebound from her previous losses to head for gold in 2024? Or will she have too much of a Problem on her hands?
The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally for Ruby as she ties up with marina, but Marina SHOVES her down! Ruby gets up, shakes that off, and goes again. They tie up, Marina powers Ruby to a corner, but the ref counts. Marina lets off, then Ruby comes back for more! Ruby pulls hair, Marina turns it around but Ruby dodges,. Marina dodges, Ruby dodges, and then Ruby throws Marina by her hair! The ref reprimands but Ruby does a very Angelo Parker hair slick and flick. But Marina storms right upon Ruby! Ruby bails out, but then Nyla is there! Ruby rushes back in, but Marina sweeps the legs!
Marina KICKS Ruby in the back, KICKS her in the front, then looms over her. Saraya makes noise, Harley takes a swipe, but Ruby CHOPS Marina on the back! STO! Marina bails out, the ref sees the Outcasts up to no good, and Nyla storms over. Saraya & Harley back off, and Rampage goes picture in picture.
Marina stands up, slides in, but Ruby boots her right to the apron! Ruby stomps Marina to the floor, then goes out to bring her up. Ruby ROCKS Marina, stands on her, and the ref counts. Ruby steps away at 4, Marina rolls into the ring, and Ruby pursues. Marina fires body shots, then SAYANAGIS! Marina then clinches, but Ruby claws Marina’s eyes! The ref reprimands, Ruby throws Marina by her hair again! Ruby scoops Marina, SLAMS her, then pushes her to a cover. TWO, but Ruby keeps her cool. Ruby drags Marina back up, whips her to a corner, then runs up to whip corner to corner hard! Marina staggers and Ruby storms up.
Rampage returns to single picture as Ruby whips again, but Marina comes back to CLOBBER her! Marina KICKS Ruby down, blocks a body shot and has a cording hold. Marina scoops to a BACKBREAKER! Then a SAYANAGI! Marina clamps onto Ruby with a COBRA CLUTCH! Ruby endures, fans rally and duel, but Marina lets off to run and basement dropkick! Cover, TWO! Saraya is on the apron, the ref tells her to get down, but Nyla brings Saraya down! And choke grips! But Harley jumps on, CLUBS away, but Nyla isn’t even bothered! Nyla TOSSES Harley down then chases Saraya into the crowd!
Fans fire up, Marina says bye, Saraya. But Ruby gets her for NO FUTURE! Cover, TWO!! Marina survives and Ruby seethes. Ruby goes to the corner, climbs up, and DIVING- NO, Marina avoids the stomps! Marina knees low, clinches and POWERSLAMS! Then a clinch, SMOTHERING SLEEPER! But Harley gets on the apron now! She eggs Marina on, so Marina DECKS her! But Ruby rolls Marina up! RUBY WINS!

Well what do you know? Saraya recruiting Harley to the cause worked out! Will Harley’s “crazy like a fox” style help Ruby get after some gold?
The Don Callis Family and the Absolute Tag Champions speak.
Don Callis himself stands with “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita, ROH World Television Champion Kyle Fletcher, and the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Ricky Starks & “Big Bill” Morrissey. Callis tells Jericho, Sammy, Sting & Darby that their world ends AT Worlds End, and he can’t wait! Tell ’em, Takeshita! Takeshita goes off in Japanese that they are all as good as dead against them! Bill adds, “Well said.” Hobbs says just look at this team! Tomorrow night, Jericho’s team finds out why Hobbs is #BigBlack&Jacked. Kyle says hell yeah! On PPV, the Don Callis Family proves they are the top of the food chain! As well as their new friends, of course.
Bill says tomorrow night, in HIS backyard, in front of HIS friends and family, including Uncle Joe, these four whoop all four of Team Jericho’s asses! And Starks says congrats to Jericho, he found three other idiots to take his side. One of them is Sting, who Starks is no stranger to. So this is a promise to The Icon, his retirement gift will be Sting NOT making it to Revolution after this! Callis finishes by saying tomorrow night, it all comes crumbling down at the hands of the Don Callis Family, Bill & Starks. Get ready, Jericho. A war is coming, who will survive?
Backstage interview with Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale.
Renee is with The Galaxy’s Greatest & The Babe with the Power, as they asked for this time to address Stokely Hathaway spreading rumors. Willow wants to make sure she and Kris are cool given how Stokely is saying Willow’s been taking all the credit for their Street Fight win. If there is one thing Willow cherishes, it is their friendship, partnership, and just Kris in all. Kris is amazing, such a great champion. Willow wants her and Kris, two Long Island natives, to get in on Worlds End. But in comes Stokely and he says that is a great idea.
Quick question, though: What took Willow so long saving her “bestie” on Dynamite? Stokely was sitting out there, it felt like hours! What was Willow doing backstage? Watching reruns of Rugrats? Anyway, how about this? Willow VS Kris, 1v1! Uh, that’s not really what Willow was thinking. But Kris says she likes the idea. Kris also respects Willow as a wrestler and friend, so there’s no one she’d rather have a homecoming moment with than Willow. They shake on it, Stokely smiles, and the match is made for the Zero Hour! Will these two still be friends after having this faceoff?
ROH Pure Championship: Wheeler Yuta VS Matt Sydal!
The Decoder is preparing to challenge Hook for the FTW Championship under FTW Rules, by basically doing the exact opposite…? Pure Rules means limited ropebreaks, limited time and no closed fists, will this be a fitting tune-up to a match with barely any rules at all? Or will the Zen Assassin catch Yuta sleeping this close to Worlds End?
Tonight’s judges are Christopher Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs & Sarah Stock. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if/how Yuta bends the rules this time.
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and we’re on the clock. Sydal and Yuta circle, feel things out, and tie up. They go around, Sydal waistlocks but Yuta wrenches out to wristlock. Sydal wrenches back, wrangles Yuta, but Yuta kips up to slip around and waistlock. Sydal standing switches it, Yuta reaches back to headlock and has the takeover, but Sydal makes that a cover, ONE! Yuta turns that around on Sydal, ONE! Sydal dodges, tilt-o-whirls and rolls Yuta up, with a bridge! TWO!! Yuta gets away and the fans fire up for this opening minute. The two reset, and Yuta CHOPS! Sydal KICKS Yuta down!
Sydal eggs Yuta on, but Yuta trips him! Stack cover, with the ropes! TWO and Sydal has the rana cradle, TWO! Yuta kicks, Sydal gets under and slips around to ROUNDHOUSE! Leg trip, and STANDING MARIPOSA! Fans fire up, Sydal covers, TWO! Yuta is still in this but Sydal storms up on him. Yuta puts Sydal on ropes to then UPPERCUT the rope, jamming Sydal up! Yuta then BOOTS Sydal down! Sydal staggers up, Yuta reels him in, BIG back suplex! Yuta roars and flexes, fans are torn, and Sydal flounders as we pass two minutes. Sydal goes to a corner, and Yuta CHOPS him! Yuta ROCKS Sydal, then snapmares as Rampage goes picture in picture.
Yuta drops a KNEE right on Sydal’s head! Sydal writhes, Yuta pushes him to a cover, TWO! Sydal hangs tough but Yuta looms over him. Yuta drags Sydal up with a facelock, then has the leg, FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Yuta wasn’t perfect, but he holds onto the legs to tie them up. Yuta slaps Sydal around, fishhooks him, but lets off as the ref counts. Yuta then pulls Sydal into the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Sydal endures, fights free and covers, TWO! Yuta hurries up, and he scoops Sydal to SLAM him! Then he SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Sydal hangs tough, Yuta mocks the fans, then clamps onto Sydal with a cravat.
Sydal endures, fights up, and moves around. Yuta snapmares him down, then drops an elbow! Cover, TWO! Sydal flounders to ropes, but Yuta storms up on him. Yuta drags Sydal up, puts him in a corner, and fires forearms. Yuta whips corner to corner but Rampage goes to break.
Rampage returns as Sydal RANAS Yuta, but Yuta DROPKICKS Sydal! Cover, TWO! We’re past six minutes and Yuta is frustrated. No one used a ropebreak during the break, unusual for Yuta. Yuta scoops Sydal, Sydal slips free, and then Sydal dodges to WHEEL KICK! Fans fire up while both men are down. Yuta rises, Sydal follows, and he KICKS! And KICKS! And KICKS! And then KICKS Yuta down! Then JUMP KICKS! And then JUMP KICKS again! Sydal fires up, the fans are with him, and he fakes Yuta out to QUESTION MARK KICK! Then the scoop to AIR RAID CRASH! Cover, TWO! Yuta survives and Sydal can’t believe it!
Sydal hurries to drag Yuta to a drop zone and fans rally. Sydal goes up a corner, but Yuta rises! Yuta rushes over, Sydal jumps over him, keeps moving, but Yuta BOOTS! Sydal ROUNDHOUSES! Yuta ROCKS, Sydal JUMP SOBATS! Yuta REWINDS, shoots around, GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Yuta grows frustrated as we pass eight minutes, one of the longer matches for Yuta in this format. Sydal takes a swing but Yuta catches him for PAIN THRILLER! Cover, TWO! Yuta hammerlocks and chinbars for the modified crossface! Sydal endures, moves around, and fans rally both ways. ROPEBREAK! Sydal’s first!
Yuta lets go, drags Sydal up, and he headlocks, to sneak a closed fist! The ref didn’t see it, but Sydal KICKS then wheelbarrows! Victory roll, TWO!?? Yuta escapes, then ELBOWS Sydal away! Yuta goes up and up and FLYING ARM-DRAG into the SEATBELT, but Sydal slips free! So Yuta HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS!! Sydal is a ragdoll, Yuta shifts, SEATBELT! Yuta wins!!

At nine minutes, 33 seconds, with one bending of the rules, Yuta ends this and is rolling into Worlds End! But wait, DANHAUSEN is here! Fans cheer as the Very Nice, Very Evil Overlord walks out with a mic in hand. “Hello. YUTA! YUTA! It is I, Danhausen, here. ROH legend myself as you all know. And I have decided to appoint myself the FOURTH judge. That’s right, you can google it, 2019 through 2021, Yuta, alright? And yes, oh, I noticed you are wrestling my good friend and sometimes tag team partner, Hook, at Worlds End. So I’m going to be keeping a close eyeball on you. And I noticed, you cheated, so therefore, I have to disqualify you. So you’ve lost.”
Yuta DECKS Danhausen! Fans boo but Yuta drags Danhausen up to DDT him back down! Fans boo more but Yuta tells Danhausen to kiss his ass. Then he rains down HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! But here comes HOOK! Yuta lets off of Danhausen to be ready for the Cool-Hearted Handsome Devil! Or rather, just bail out with his title. But now, gloves are off and anything goes! Will Yuta survive when there’s nothing to hold Hook back?

After the truly evil genius plot between Samoa Joe and the Devil of AEW, the Samoan Submission Machine said, “You never saw this coming, Max. You’ve been worried about a devil when you really needed to be worried about destiny.” MJF says, “In my entire career, I’ve been the one stabbing people in the back. Never did I think somebody was gonna have the opportunity to stab me in the back first.” Joe says destiny is staring MJF in the face, and it’s coming to beat his ass! MJF says if Joe wants to beat him for the grandest prize of them all, the only way that’s happening is if Hell freezes over, and if the world ends.
Six Man Tag: Orange Cassidy & Roppongi Vice VS Top Flight & Action Andretti!
The last Rampage main event of 2023 is Freshly Squeezed as the AEW International Champion, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta team up against the Coldest Trio in the Game! Cassidy seems to be itching for fights, will he come to regret giving this one to Dante, Darius & The Sight to See?
The trios sort out and Action starts against Cassidy. The fans rally up at the bell, and Cassidy ties up with Action. Cassidy slips around to waistlock, spin, waistlock, full nelson, snapmare, and then sits with Action to thumbs up. Ghost pin, TWO! Action steps up and over, sunset flips, TWO! Cassidy hurdles, whips, but Action handsprings! Cassidy avoids contact and fans cheer, as the hands go in the pockets! Action is annoyed, he runs up but into a SHOTGUN! Cassidy kips up and fans fire up! Cassidy then runs up to BOOT Action to the corner. Tag to Trent, they double whip Action, then DOUBLE ELBOW!
Trent shakes hands with Cassidy before the elbow drop! Trent stands Action up but Action ROCKS Trent! Trent DECKS Action! Fans fire up as Trent eggs Action on. Action tags Darius in, and Darius circles with Trent. They tie up, Darius headlocks, but Trent powers up and out. Darius RAMS Trent, Trent rebounds to run Darius over! Fans fire up as Trent puts Darius in a corner to CHOP! Darius CHOPS back! Trent CHOPS again! Darius CHOPS again! Repeat! Darius then CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS, runs, but Trent drops, and STANDING METEORA! Fans fire up while Darius writhes, and Trent brings him around.
Trent half nelsons but Darius throws shots. Darius springboards to arm-drag, then he DROPKICKS Trent to the Top Flight corner. Darius runs in, Trent pops him up and over but Dante tags in. Dante slingshots in while Darius CHOPS Trent, then Dante runs up to A-LIST LARIAT! Tag back to Darius, snap suplex and a tag back to Dante, slingshot SENTON! Fans fire up, Rocky runs in but Dante SOBATS him first. Dante whips Rocky, Rocky reverses but Darius gives Dante the boost up and over! Then ASSISTED TORNADO DDT! Rocky bails out, Darius runs up on Cassidy but Cassidy ROCKS him!
Action runs up to HANDSPRING KICK Cassidy down! Best Friends regroup by the ramp, so Top Flight & Action build speed, to TRIPLE DIVE!! Direct hit at the ramp and the fans fire up! The high-flyers all drag Trent up while Rampage goes picture in picture.
Dante storms in to bring Trent up and bump him off buckles. Tag to Action, Dante ELBOWS Trent down, and Action springboards! Trent gets under the 450 so Action rolls through. Trent BUSAIKU KNEES Action inside-out! Cassidy & Rocky BLAST Top Flight off the apron! Rocky then FLYING KNEES Darius down, and Cassidy DIVES onto Dante! RPG Vice coordinate, Trent hangs Action out to dry so Rocky can MISSILE DROPKICK him down! Trent then adds the SLIDING KNEE! Fans fire up with the RPG HIGH-FIVE! Cassidy joins in, and Best Friends HUG! You GOT to give the people what they want!
Rocky storms up on Action in a corner, brings him around and snapmares him for a knee drop! Rocky hears the fans, he brings Action back up, and Rocky UPPERCUTS! Action puts Rocky in a corner, CHOPS him, but Rocky trips Action to stomp the leg! Rocky drags Action back up, brings him over, and ROCKS Action! Rocky tags Cassidy and Cassidy sits Action down for “devastating” stomps. But then Cassidy actually turns it up and stomps a genuine mudhole in! Then he basement dropkicks Action down! Cassidy drags Action up to snap suplex, cover, TWO! Cassidy stays between Action and Top Flight, and brings him back around.
Cassidy bumps Action off buckles, tags Rocky back in and Rocky snapmares to KICK Action in the back. And KNEE him in the back, too. Rocky digs his knee in and has the chinlock. Action endures, Rocky KNEES him in the back again, then goes back for more. Rocky fishhooks into the chinlock, but Action fights up! Action stands as Rampage returns to single picture and he throws body shots, Rocky knees low, CHOPS him, but Action CHOPS back! Rocky ROCKS Action, whips him corner to corner, but Action reverses to ROCK Rocky! Rocky CHOPS, ducks a kick, but not the ENZIGURI! Action hurries to run in, but Rocky puts him outside.
Action blocks a punch, GAMANGIRIS, then springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Fans fire up while both men are down! Action and Rocky crawl, hot tag to Trent! Trent storms up on Action, has a leg, but Action BOOTS him away! Hot tag to Dante! Dante runs in, rallies on Trent, then whips. Trent reverses, runs in, but Dante slips out! Trent hits buckles, Dante goes up and around, GAMANGIRIS, then springboards to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Dante grits his teeth and he drags Trent back up. Trent shoves Dante, Dante elbows back, tag to Darius. Darius hurries to BULLDOG HOTSHOT and GAMANGIRI!
Dante SUPERKICKS, Darius steps in to COMPLETE SHOT! Cover, Cassidy breaks it! Dante kicks Cassidy, but Cassidy sends Dante out! Darius SOBATS then suplexes, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Action runs in, SHOTGUN GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! Cassidy flounders out, Rocky returns to spin Darius for SLICED- NO, no bread as Darius slips free, and Dante runs up, half nelson FACEBUSTER! Trent is in a corner, Dante runs up to forearm smash! Darius runs up to clothesline! Tag to Action and Darius hits a BRAINBSUTER on Tret! Action springboards to 450!! Triple cover, CASISDY AND ROCKY BREAK IT!!
The fans are thunderous! Cassidy & Rocky drag Trent back, “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy tags back in. Dante also tags in, and these two step up. The fans rally up, things speed up! Superkick dodged, Orange Punch dodged, Dante SUPERKICKS and hits this time! Rocky runs in, Dante jumps over and blocks a kick. Dante ducks the enziguri but not the REWIND HEEL! Darius ELBOWS Rocky, then uses the corner, TIGER WALL PELE! Trent runs in, but into BOOTS! Darius goes up, but Trent YANKS him down into a SAIDO! Action is back and he BOOTS Trent! Trent bails out, Action aims and PLANCHA feints to then ARABIAN PRESS!
Fans fire up as Rocky DIVES to take Action out! Rocky puts Action in, goes up the corner, but Action kips up to PELE! Rocky wobbles, Action climbs up after him! But Trent is back and he CLUBS Action! Trent climbs up after Action, to waistlock and SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Action flops out of the ring but Dante is back! Trent Alabama Lifts Dante and tucks him in! Rocky takes aim, but Darius GAMANGIRIS Rocky down! SUPERKICK to Trent that makes it a CODE RED for Dante! But the ORANGE PUNCH hits Darius! Dante dodges and O’Conner Rolls, TWO!! SUPERKICK from Orange! Off comes the elbow pad!
Cassidy runs from the corner, ORANGE- SHOTGUN from Dante!! Rocky tags in and he climbs up! Dante staggers up, but he catches Rocky for the half nelson SWINGING SLAM!! Cover, Top Flight wins!!

The Coldest Trio is looking red hot with this rebound on Rampage! They may have lost to The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn, but will they be back for those hot pink belts soon enough?
My Thoughts:
A great Rampage that was technically a go-home to the PPV, but really only one match mattered toward that. Yuta of course retained the Pure Championship against Sydal, but I did appreciate Sydal not being bullied and beat as easily as other opponents. I kinda wish they’d push closer to the 20 minute time limit with these matches, not even Yuta beating Shibata lasted over 10. But good moment of having Danhausen show up to confront Yuta on his cheating, and of Hook saving Danhausen from Yuta. I would think Hook wins the FTW Rules match, and then they turn it around and Hook shows he can beat Yuta in Pure Rules.
A surprising thing about tonight was that we didn’t open with an Orange Cassidy match but instead opened with a lot of promos. Good stuff from Jericho and Sammy, and I suppose they needed to make it clear Le Sex Gods are back together, and are going for the tag titles. Really good group promo from The Don Callis Family plus Starks & Bill. But despite all the confidence from Callis’s team, I would think the Faces win. Le Sex Gods need a return victory that also gives the momentum going into the tag title match, and Sting doesn’t lose on PPV. Or at all. He probably isn’t gonna lose until his retirement match at Revolution, where he puts someone over per the tradition.
Speaking of Cassidy, great main event match there. As I figured, someone other than Cassidy took the loss so that Top Flight & Action can have momentum. Classic Tony Khan backwards booking, this trio is building up momentum after already losing to the champions. They shouldn’t have been the ones to face The Acclaimed in The Acclaimed’s own return match. Caster, Bowens & Billy should’ve whooped up on like Kip Sabian & The Workhorsemen since none of those guys are going anywhere right now. Then we’d build and build and eventually, like some time in February, Top Flight & Action VS Acclaimed & Daddy Ass would be a huge deal for like the Valentine’s Day Dynamite.
Good stuff from the women’s division, though. Good promo of Kris and Willow to set up a 1v1 match, and that should be a lot of fun. With Stokely instigating so much, it feels like someone’s turning on someone, just not sure who. And really good match from Ruby VS Marina with Saraya & Harley running interference. I actually thought we were going to get Harley messing things up for Ruby, but maybe that comes later. Feels like there should be a tag match coming of Outcasts VS Vicious Vixens next then, giving Nyla the opportunity to get her hands on Saraya.

MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!
Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!
Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!
The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.
But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Cope snarls as he rises up, hot tags to Cope and Connors!
The fans fire up as The Rated R Superstar rallies on everyone! LARIAT for Cash! ELBOW for Dax! Cope TOSSES Finlay out onto Ciampa and Cash! BOOT for Connors! The fans fire up again and Cope goes to a corner. Cope is feeling it, and he aims at Connors. But then Finlay grabs a leg! The fans boo, but Nick SUPERKICKS Finlay! Connors runs up, Nick RAMS him low! Then slingshot FACEBUSTER! And cartwheel ASAI MOONSAULT! COPE-O-SETIC for Connors, TWO! The fans rally as Cope keeps focus on Connors. Cope drags Connors up, whips him to the corner, then Nick runs up! Connors puts Nick out, then he puts Matt out!
But Christian is back, and he coordinates with The Bucks, LARIAT DOUBLE ENZIGIRI on Connors! Then Cassidy somersaults for a “powerful” back elbow! Finlay runs up, Cassidy kicks the legs out! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!
Cope acts as air traffic control as he coordinates everyone, QUADRUPLE MACHO ELBOWS before an IMPALER!! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives and the fans can’t believe it! Ciampa and Finlay get up, The Bucks BLAST them, then DIVE! Down they go at ramp side, then Christian and Cassidy bump into each other. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! Cassidy puts his hands up, but Christian stops him. Christian shakes his head, but then Cassidy makes Christian put his hands in his pockets! The fans fire up as Christian just THROWS Cassidy out onto FTR! Christian then goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES The Dogs!
Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. But Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! The fans go nuts with every shot, but FTR shoves Cassidy! SHATTER- DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Cash! Cassidy fights free of Dax, but Dax blocks Nick’s Superkick! Dax sends it into Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS through after all! Finlay clinches, IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Nick! Matt feints the kick to DDT! But then Ciampa KNEES Matt down! Christian chicken wings Ciampa, turns him around, KILLSWITCH!
Connors JEEP FLIPS Christian! Connors then stalks Cope while the fans boo. Connors lines up a shot, Cope rises to his feet, Connors runs in! But Cope jumps over Connors’ spear, sending it into Dax! The fans fire up, Stoke freaks out, and The Bucks join Cope in the ring. They TRIPLE SUPERKICK Connors! Cassidy is in, ORANGE PUNCH! SPEAR from Cope!! Cover, C&C Conglomeration Bucks win!

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!
Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!
Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! Knight sputters but Cage goes up the steps to soak up cheers and jeers, all while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!
The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! Cage digs his boot into Knight at the corner, but he stops as the ref counts. Cage drags Knight up, puts him in a corner, and LARIATS! Cage wrenches to then SAIDO Knight away! Knight flounders to the apron, Cage soaks up more cheers and jeers, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Knight rises to fire forearms on Cage, but Cage ROCKS Knight in return! Knight survives and Cage is frustrated, but Cage decides to write Knight off. Cage drags Knight up, reels him in, and suplexes, DRILL- NO, Knight slips free to waistlock. But Cage ELBOWS Knight, whips, but Knight jumps up! SATELLITE- NO, Cage goes for ropes! Knight HOTSHOTS Cage for it! Then Knight springboards back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! A standing count starts while the fans rally up. Cage goes to a corner but he runs up on Knight. Knight bobs ‘n’ weaves, fires off shots, then fires a flurry of haymakers! But Cage grabs and TOSSES Knight to a corner!
Cage runs up, Knight dodges, and Knight runs back in. Knight ducks ‘n ‘dodges, FLAPJACK DROPKICK! The fans fire up as Cage bails out! Knight builds speed and FLIES! Cage catches him?!? AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!
This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! And so, for the opening round, it will be: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis; Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King; then Double or Nothing has both Samoa Joe VS Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland VS Bandido!

We’ve seen the Aerial Assassin training with The Death Riders, he’s won gold with his old friends in The United Empire, and now he’s about to face a dangerous man at Double or Nothing. Will Ospreay be more than ready for Samoa Joe after tonight? Or will he fail to even get past The Inevitable?
The bell rings and the fans cheer Ospreay as he stares down with Ace. Ospreay offers a handshake, Ace accepts, and the fans cheer the sportsmanship. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to wristlock. Ace rolls, handsprings, and wrenches, but Ospreay rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Ospreay hammerlocks, Ace rolls to kip up and wrench to then armlock. Ospreay endures the grind, fights around, and he arm-drags Ace down. Ace endures, fights around, and rises up. Ace shoots through to waistlock but Ospreay switches. Ospreay hits the headlock takeover, Ace headscissors, but Ospreay kips free.
The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!

Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!

AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

The bell rings, the fans cheer, and Callis joins commentary to humble brag that he already played 42 holds with Ricochet, Tony Khan and Richard Goodell. Jack gets the fans to cheer for him, and to boo Davis. The two circle, Davis runs up but Jack dodges! Jack fires off forearms, Davis TOSSES Jack to a corner, and the fans already tell Callis off. Jack dodges Davis to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP, but Davis turns things back around! Davis THROWS Jack away, but Jack comes back to SHOTGUN Davis! Jack then climbs up and rains down fists! Davis stops Jack at 5 as he lifts him off the corner! But Jack fights with more fists, and he RANAS Davis away!
Jack runs up, Davis pops him up to the apron, but Jack ENZIGIRIS! Jack goes up, up, but Davis slips under the jump! Davis runs up, but Jack dodges! Davis tumbles up and out of the ring, Jack goes up top, ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit and the fans fire up! Jack waves hi tot he camera, then he puts Davis back in the ring. Davis shoves Jack away, Jack dodges, and he SHOTGUNS Davis down! Davis flounders but Jack runs up again, and he uses the corner to swing, only for Davis to block! Davis LAWN DARTS Jack into the rope! Then LARIATS him down! The fans boo but Davis refreshes the ring count.
Davis storms over to Jack while the fans rally up. Davis drags Jack up, brings him around, and CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” as that one echoes out. Davis snarls as he stares into the camera, then he drags Jack up. Davis puts Jack in the ring, rolls in after him, and stalks Jack to ropes. The fans rally for Jack but Davis bends Jack back against the ropes! The ref counts, Davis stops at 4, but Jack CHOPS! And CHOPS! Davis eggs Jack on, so Jack CHOPS! Davis CHOPS Jack down! Davis soaks up the heat, then he goes back to Jack. Davis bumps Jack off buckles, then brings him around to TOSS across the way! Davis takes his time following Jack and kicks him around.
The fans rally for Jack but Davis is on him again. Davis whips Jack to ropes, but Jack slides under! JAWBREAKER! Davis wobbles, Jack goes to ropes, but Davis runs up. Jack BOOTS Davis, slips outside and ROCKS Davis again, then slingshots, but into a FOREARM! Davis then runs to BLAST Jack off the apron! The fans boo Davis but he soaks it up while Collision goes to break.
The ref checks Jack but Davis goes out to fetch him. Davis grabs a towel to CHOKE Jack with it! The ref reprimands, Davis stops, but then he sits Jack up on the railing. Davis CHOPS Jack into the crowd! Davis leaves Jack behind while the ring count climbs. Jack drags himself up while the fans cheer him on, and Jack gets help getting up and over the barriers. Jack stumbles back to the ring, safe at 8! Davis storms up and tells the fans this is on them. But Jack dodges the chop, to SMACK Davis! And ROCK him again, and again, and again! Davis just scoops Jack to SLAM him down! And SENTON! Davis roars while Jack sputters on the mat!
Davis paces around Jack, pushes him down for a cocky cover, ONE!! But Davis bends Jack back with the chinlock stretch! Jack endures, reaches out, then BITES Davis’ hand! The ref reprimands but Jack lets go, and Davis snarls again. Jack CHOSP Davis, CHOPS again, and CHOPS again! Jack winds up, but Davis blocks! Davis then CLAWS Jack’s face as he pushes him into the corner. The ref reprimands, but Davis storms back up on Jack to suplex, BROKEN ARROW! Jack tumbles while Davis soaks up heat. Davis stands on Jack for a cocky cover, TWO! Davis kicks at Jack, almost toying with him now.
Jack sits up to fire body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Davis CLUBS Jack. Jack UPPERCUTS Davis! Davis KNEES Jack low! Davis whips, but Jack hits the COMEBACKER! It just bounces off Davis’ barrel chest! Davis hauls Jack up, but Jack slips free to fire forearms! Davis shoves Jack, Jack ducks ‘n’ dodges, FLYING FOREARM! Davis wobbles, then drops to a knee! The fans fire up with Jack as he roars! Jack runs corner to corner, but into an ELBOW! Davis hoists Jack up top, then climbs up to join Jack. Jack fires body shots, then he BITES Davis’ hand! Jack fires haymakers on Davis’ head, then SMACKS him off buckles!
Jack positions himself just right, and leaps to SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Davis survives and Jack is beside himself! Davis and Jack go to the apron, and Davis LARIATS Jack against the ropes! Then he suplexes, but Jack fights with knees! Jack lands safe, then BOOTS Davis! Davis roars, but Jack SUPERKICKS! Jack goes up, leaps again, FLYING RANA to the floor! The fans fire up for Jack and “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Jack hurries to swing, TIGER FEINT KICK from the post! Jack goes up the corner while Davis stumbles into the ring, BLINDSIDE MACHO ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Davis survives and Jack is rather surprised.
Jack goes to a corner, and says time to make a sacrifice! Jack runs in, but Davis LARIATS Jack first! Davis THROWS Jack to a corner, runs side to side, SLIDING FOREARM! Davis pushes Jack to a cover, TWO!! Jack survives and the fans fire up again! Davis rains down fists, then rises up. The fans boo Davis but he drags Jack up. Davis puts Jack on the ropes, runs, and- JACK RANAS! Cover, TWO! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! And then SUPERK- NO, Davis blocks the third to shove and DISCUS LARIAT! Then SNAP PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO?!? Jack survives again and the fans fire back up! Callis coaches Davis as he drags Jack up.
Davis brings Jack up in the corner with a gut wrench! The fans freak out for the SUPER- STEINER!! Jack turns things around on Davis just in time! The fans are thunderous but Callis rushes to ringside! The fans all boo Callis, but wait! RICOCHET slides into the ring! Still dressed in his golf course attire, he CRACKS Jack with his nine iron!! Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?
Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.
He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!
Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Don Callis speaks, again.
“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.
“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.
Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!
This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?
Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!
Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!
Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall
A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!
Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!
The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!
Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.
Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.
Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!
Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!
Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!
The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!
The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.
Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!
The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!
AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!
Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?
My Thoughts:
A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.
I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.
Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.
Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.
