The teams sort out and Kyle starts against Johnny. The fans rally for “Freshly Squeezed!” as Kyle and Johnny circle. They feel things out, clinch, and then go around. Kyle powers Johnny to ropes, the ref counts, and Kyle lets off. Johnny kicks, Kyle blocks, but Johnny kicks again. Kyle ducks the question mark kick, but Johnny blocks some kicks. Johnny ducks the roundhouse, picks a leg, but Kyle hip tosses to counter! Kyle floats around, facelocks, but Johnny rolls to wrench and facelock back. Johnny headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Johnny runs Kyle over, flexes, then keeps moving. Kyle drops down, Johnny sunset flips, but Kyle shifts to an ARMBAR!

The fans fire up, Johnny scrambles while Taya and Shane Taylor coach him. ROPEBREAK, but Kyle stomps Johnny as he lets off. Kyle throws knees, then tags Cassidy. Hologram drags Johnny up, brings him around, and tags Cassidy. Cassidy climbs, but Johnny gets away to tag in Lee. #TAIGASTYLE tells Cassidy to get off the corner, so Cassidy climbs down. The fans rally as these two tie up now, and Lee arm-drags Cassidy down. Lee grinds the top wristlock but fans boo. Cassidy kips up, but Lee wrenches to wristlock. Cassidy goes for ropes, rolls, flops, and it’s a cover! ONE as Cassidy moves around, spins around, spins some more, and the fans cheer as Cassidy rolls to wrench back! Lee fights up, spins, slips through, wrenches and then he spins Cassidy to wrangle him by the wristlock!

Lee SNAPS fingers like a villain, then flexes on Sioux Falls. Cassidy gets away to tag Hologram, and the fans fire up. hologram gets around Lee, spins him, snapmares, then runs. Tilt-o-whirl and arm-drag! Lee turns that around into a ghost pin! TWO! Lee does his dance then kicks low. Lee CLUBS Hologram, whips him, but Hologram ducks ‘n’ dodges to wheelbarrow then sunset flip! Lee rebounds off ropes to sunset flip, but Hologram rolls through! The trios sort out and Austin starts against Nese. Austin gets the fans to cheer, “GUNS UP~!” Austin and Nese circle, tie up, and Austin wrenches to wristlock. The mugging continues, the ref counts, but the Premier Athletes stop at 4. Nese taunts the fans, drags Austin along the ropes, then tags Daivari in. They double whip Austin into the corner, taunt the Bang Bang Club, then Daivari sends Nese in. Austin goes up and over, Nese hits buckles! Austin hip tosses for the QUICK DRAW! Woods is back up, but Juice hits a SPINEBUSTER! Nese runs up, into a FULL NELSON SLAM! Juice is all fired up and so are the fans! Tag to Colten, Juice PLANCHAS to take out Daivari! Colten runs to STINGER SPLASH Woods! And STINGER SPLASH on Nese! Colten keeps moving, he jukes Nese to NECKBREAKER! Colten then runs up to DROPKICK Woods! Cover, TWO! Colten hurries to bring Woods up, kicks low, and says “SUCK IT!” But Sterling gets in the way! Colten shows punch, Sterling runs away. Nese runs in but Colten TOSSES him onto Sterling! The teams sort out and Bennett starts against Dax. They circle, feel things out, then tie up. Bennett puts Dax in the corner, Taven tags in, but Dax slips away. Taven and Dax circle now, they tie up, and Taven arm-drags. “IIIII’M Matt Taven!” The fans boo but Dax just brushes that off. Dax headlocks Taven, Taven powers up and out, but Dax runs him over! Things keep moving, Taven hurdles but Da turns hip toss into hip toss! Then headlock takeover! Taven headscissors., Dax kips free, but Taven drop toeholds to then step all over Dax. “IIIII’M Matt Taven!” Well Dax Harwood CHOPS him! And CHOPS him again!

Taven flounders, Dax tags Cash, and FTR YANK Taven by his hair to throw him down! Cash stands Taven up but Taven RAMS him into the corner! Bennett tags in, he stomps away on Cash, then CHOPS again! The fans boo, the ref finally sees, TWO!! Dax ducks Taven’s haymaker, then feints his to DDT Taven! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Taven and Dax crawl, hot tag to Bennett! Cash rallies on The Kingdom, then JABS, JABS and DECKS Bennett! DROPKICK for Bennett, too! Cash wernches and UPPERCUTS Taven, then CHOPS Bennett! Cash UPPERCUTS, CHOPS, and repeat! Cash whips, Bennett reveres, but Cash goes up and over, keeps moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges to LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up for Cash, and he hauls Bennett up. And then more GERMAN SUPLEXES! The Kingdom hold hands, but that’s not enough to stop the third GERMAN SUPLEXES! FTR drags The Kingdom up, Taven elbows free and Bennett switches. Taven runs up on Cash but cash BACKDROPS him! Cash sends Bennett to Dax, for a GERMAN SUPLEX! Rolling jackknife bridge from Cash, TWO!! Bennett escapes, but the fans fire up as Cash tags Dax.

Cash hoists Bennett up top, then he goes to the adjacent corner. But Taven SUPERKICKS him down! Dax and Bennett brawl up top, Bennett ROCKS Dax! Bennett hops down to CROSSBODY! But Dax rolls through! Dax also steps through, but Taven runs up! Dax lets Bennett go so he can trip Taven! Dax steps through, but Taven CLAWS Dax’s eyes! Bennett rolls Dax up, TWO!! Dax survives, but Bennett fireman’s carries! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! JUST THE TIP of the knee! Cover, TWO!! Dax survives again and the fans fire up! Lexy Nair says tonight’s main event will determine the next challenger to Mercedes Mone’s TBS Championship, set for All Out in Chicago. She introduces Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb, and starts by asking Aminata what her mindset is going into a high stakes match like this. Aminata says the advantage she has is that she has been in the ring with all three of them already this year. So you know that she’s been scouting. The Professor interrupts and says if we’re talking scouting, nobody knows this game better than her. And Deeb has also been in the ring with everyone else this year. And she’s also beaten all three of them!

So regarding tonight, Deeb doesn’t like Rosa, she really doesn’t like Shida, but she actually likes Aminata. Aminata’s really talented, one of the best up-and-comers. But she’s not ready. If Aminata learns from Deeb, she will become great. Maybe they work together tonight? Aminata says this is for the TBS Championship. Deeb says before Aminata gives a final answer, just think about it. Deeb heads out, having said her piece. We’ve heard from all four, but what will happen when this star-studded field of four has it out in that ring?

Both men are down as a ring count starts. Ishii checks his neck, he still has one somehow. Kyle refreshes the ring count to then mockingly applaud Ishii. Kyle drags Ishii up to whip him hard into railing! Kyle soaks up the heat, mocks the fans for being one-sided, then he whips Ishii into more railing! Ishii almost falls into the front row! Kyle stands on the corner and he seems to get a better reaction from that section. Kyle then drags Ishii up, puts him in, then covers, TWO! Kyle stays cool while he paces around. Kyle stomps Ishii, Ishii clutches a shoulder, but Kyle stomps him again. Ishii grits his teeth, but Kyle boots him!

Kyle boots, and boots, but Ishii doesn’t budge! Kyle fires hands, scoops, and SLAMS! Kyle tells fans to calm down, then he goes back for Ishii. The Shining Samurai went all out against all three of her opponents here tonight, and now she gets to go All Out with Mercedes Mone! Will Shida show The CEO just who is the real Face of TBS?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here to add a bit more to Collision, but mostly add to the go-home week. Great opening Six Man Tag to again thrill the crowd with what Hologram can do, because he continues to be an insanely innovative wrestler. And very good promo from Pac with Kyle & Cassidy to set up a big trios match. Hard to say who wins that, because Pac, Claudio & Yuta just became Trios Champions, and any lose they take would in theory set up a title match. I suppose Kyle or Cassidy could take the loss, which would give Pac momentum into All Out, meaning Ospreay wins the title match.

Really good Six Man Tag from Bang Bang Gang VS Premier Athletes, but of course Bang Bang Gang wins to stay up after losing at All In. FTR VS Kingdom was a great match, and of course FTR won. But GYV attacking FTR was an obvious move, too. It might’ve had more impact if we didn’t hear from GYV twice on the same night last Wednesday, but we’re of course getting FTR VS GYV, probably for All Out next week. Great 8 Man of the full Top Flight Crew faction beating Turbo and the Savages. I was a little surprised it wasn’t equally Outrunners and Savages but I suppose Truth took quite a rough finish from GYV on Rampage.

Awesome match from Fletcher and Ishii, and an awesome win for Fletcher. Great match from Buddy and Komander, with a great win for Buddy, but I’m a little surprised MXM wants a fashion themed Street Fight with House of Black. It’ll still be a really good match, but it feels like MXM is going to lose so that The House of Black can build back up. Lance Archer just destroying people backstage was pretty funny, but I don’t know what the point of it is when we are seeing him squash jobbers on ROH and doing promos with The Righteous. Maybe after All Out, Archer & Righteous can get in on some trios title story. Probably more the ROH World Six Man story than the AEW World Trios titles.

Good promo from Mone after her win at Capital Collision, though maybe just a “last line” too long. And after some very good promos from the four women in the main event, we got a great contender’s match. A part of me is actually surprised Shida won out, and without needing to use her kendo stick or anything. Like, it’s a Fatal 4 Way, why not do that? But even without that, great story all around, and a great win for Shida. Maybe Shida uses her kendo stick on Kamille to scare Mone, but who knows how the title match at All Out goes. Maybe Mone retains and that makes Shida go all the way Heel and she starts using that kendo stick on everyone.
