Daniel Garcia is here!
Milwaukee fires up as Red Death storms his way to the ring and grabs himself a mic. “Hey! Hey! Hey! They say that patience is a virtue. And Max, I know you’re somewhere in this building, and I’m not feeling very virtuous tonight! I’m not waitin’ for All Out, I wanna break your neck right here in Milwaukee! Let’s go!” MJF sings “Oh Danny Boy~, the pipes, the pipes…” MJF gets Garcia’s attention from high up in the crowd. MJF is up there because he doesn’t wanna ruin their big match for Saturday by whooping his ass. Not that MJF wouldn’t take a great deal of pleasure in it, it’s just he doesn’t want excuses when he paints the canvas in Garcia’s blood, and breaks that pencil neck.
The fans boo but Garcia shakes his head. MJF says unlike Garcia, he doesn’t attack from behind like a coward. Fans boo more, we know that’s not true. But MJF says he sure doesn’t do it looking like an emaciated skinhead hooked on Ozempic. Fans boo more but Garcia rolls his eyes. Unbelievable. MJF really thinks everyone here believes a thing that came out of his mouth? We all know that everything MJF just said is fake and a lie. But that’s fitting, since everything about MJF is a fake and a lie. From his tan to his make-up to cover up the acne, to the trip that he took to Turkey to get a hair transplant that didn’t even work!
MJF gets riled up but Garcia says the thing that makes him sick is the fakest thing about MJF: his fake love for AEW! MJF doesn’t care about this place like Garcia does! MJF doesn’t love the people like Garcia loves the people! And MJF can get as many fake tattoos painted on the back of his leg that he wants, the fans will never believe him. MJF tells Garcia this is fair warning, he will make Garcia bleed buckets. Garcia tells MJF to shut up and listen to Garcia for once. The fans fire up and Garcia says last week, he said he was obsessed with ruining MJF’s life. He meant every single word. He wants MJF to suffer, and he wants those who love MJF to suffer.
So here’s the thing: If MJF can ever find a woman who can pretend to care about him for longer than a year, he should marry her, get a house, even have a kid. Just know that every time MJF picks up that ugly ass baby, he’ll feel a tingle from his neck to his toes, and he’ll think about Garcia. The fans fire up behind Garcia, and he tells MJF, that kid will ask MJF, “Daddy, were you a wrestler?” And MJF will have to say the truest statement ever in his life: “I was, until Daniel Garcia ended my career.” MJF stands up, and applauds? MJF says bravo, Garcia! Did we all hear that? Danny learned how to speak!
MJF says Garcia still has so much more to learn, and so much more maturing to do. When MJF cost Garcia and dumped him on that bulbous head of his, that was MJF doing Garcia a solid. Garcia can’t trust anybody. Look at MJF. MJF was the favorite, the fans used to love him. The fans are torn, and MJF says it is too little, too late. So keep your mouths shut while the only human that matters is speaking. But the fans loved him, MJF got too big, and these rats turned on him! Garcia doesn’t want their love, their affection, the accolades. The more you rise up, the more these fickle bastards will want you to fall.
So MJF will do Garcia a favor this Saturday. Garcia’s friends, family and friends will turn on him, but MJF will make sure they can’t hurt Garcia the way they hurt MJF. Fans boo and tell MJF to STFU. MJF will do that… by putting Garcia in a wheelchair! Don’t worry, there is one person you can trust, and that is Garcia’s mom. Don’t “ooh” at that, folks. Mama Garcia will take care of Danny while he’s stuck in bed. Lord knows he’s not the first man lying on their backs in her bed, that she happily attended to. The fans boo, but then Garcia rushes out of the ring! MJF has security hurry, but Garcia TOSSES one guy, throws hands on another, only to be swarmed by the rest!
The fans boo but MJF mockingly waves bye. But Garcia fights free! The fans fire up as Garcia hurries up the bleachers! Garcia CLOBBERS the last line of defense, but MJF SMASHES a bottle of wine on Garcia’s face!! The fans boo, but MJF dusts himself off. The Wolf of Wrestling set a trap for the Dragonslayer, and then sits up a bloodied Garcia so they can sit on the steps together. MJF tells Garcia that every man must go through Hell before they reach Paradise. So MJF will do what Garcia refused to with him. MJF thanks Garcia. Garcia woke up something in MJF that was dormant for far too long.
As a token of gratitude, this Saturday, MJF will send Garcia straight to Paradise. For that, Garcia can thank MJF later. MJF kisses the bloody forehead wound, then smiles. The fans tell MJF is sick, but did MJF just wake up something in Garcia that will haunt him for the rest of his life?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Renee Paquette is with Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Willow Nightingale. It has been such a big week for them all, but let’s talk All Out. This Saturday, Willow will take on Kris Statlander in a Chicago Street Fight! But on a special Friday Night Collision, we also get an exclusive face-to-face between them. But in tonight’s main event, taking on the Blackpool Combat Club, it will be Cassidy, Kyle & International Champion, Will Ospreay! Ospreay steps in to say oi, what’s up? Renee asks him how it feels to be an honorary member of The Conglomeration, and Ospreay says he is super pumped.
Ospreay thanks Mark Briscoe for this opportunity. But he does have to ask, going into this battle, does Mark have any words of wisdom for them tonight? Kyle also wonders, and looks over to Mark. Mark says just the other day, he got a call on his phone. It was his good pal, Kyle, and Mark said hello. Kyle said they have a proposition for a match on Wednesday Night Dynamite: Kyle, Cassidy & Ospreay VS BCC & Bastard, can they get Mark’s blessings for that? Mark said, “Will?” Yeah, Will. As in British Bill the Real Deal, bringing the thrills, leaving the opposition taking pain pills? Yes, that Will! Ospreay? Yeah! Then hell yeah! Time to conglomerate!
Tonight, the main event, boys, time to whoop some ass! The word of the day today is obvious, it is STUPENDOUS! Because this is one of the most stupendous lads to ever step foot in the pro-wrestling ring! BCC, Pac, Milwaukee, you better be ready! Let’s go, boys! RARARARA! The Chicken leads the way for Cassidy, Kyle & Ospreay, will they be rolling into Chicago with all the momentum?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
With it being on a special night, it will also be a special night! A Continental Contenders Challenge has been created, in which three matches pit some of the best in AEW against each other! Orange Cassidy VS Bryan Keith, Mark Briscoe VS Lance Archer, and The Beast Mortos VS Konosuke Takeshita! The three winners will then go on to a Fatal 4 Way match at All Out, where they will meet the winner of tonight’s title match!

DDT to the floor! Seems Okada had something up his sleeve instead!
Okada puts Kyle in the ring, then drags him back out onto the apron. The count stops and the ref cautions Okada, but Okada gut wrenches! Kyle fights free! And SUPERKICKS! Okada wobbles, then Kyle reels him in! Suplex, APRON BRAINBUSTER!! Callis says that has to be it! The fans are losing their minds, the ref is checking both men, and they’re somehow still in this! The ring count returns, and Dynamite goes picture in picture again.
Okada and Kyle stir, slowly sit up, and they both stand at 8 of 10! They jump in at 9.5! Kyle grits his teeth as he forces himself to sit up again, and Okada follows. AEW was with Swerve Strickland earlier this week.
The Realest and Prince Nana were in Washington state for a very special moment for Swerve and his family. This was Swerve’s neighborhood home. The tree right outside, Swerve climbed it, fell out of it, and learned how to be fearless. It wasn’t always smiles and roses, there were hard times. The house was foreclosed on, they couldn’t get it back, they were evicted. Swerve promised that no matter what, he’d make the money to buy it back. And as of last week, signing his extension with AEW, Swerve is now the proud owner of his childhood home. Swerve thanks Nana, they hug it out, and it is truly whose house? Swerve’s House!
Jamie Hayter VS Robyn Renegade!
She put The Outcasts on notice when she returned to AEW at All In, and then again when she clobbered Harley Cameron on Collision! But will Hayter Hit Hard again and again until she’s back on top? Or will she be caught off guard by this Renegade?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. But Robyn pie faces and talks smack. So Jamie DECKS her! Jamie whips Robyn while the Outcasts watch backstage. Jamie runs up, Robyn ELBOWS her, and Harley mockingly says she didn’t see that coming, huh? Robyn runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Jamie RUNS Robyn over! Hayter does hit hard, but Harley assures Saraya that she can take her. Will Jamie prove them both very wrong very soon?
Backstage interview with Roderick Strong.
Renee is now with the Savior of the Backbreaker, but also Christopher Daniels. We just reviewed the footage, and Roddy points it out: his foot was under the ropes when he tapped out! It shouldn’t count! Daniels knows, he saw it, too. The ref did not know about Roddy’s foot until after watching it back. Roddy doesn’t care about excuses, he- Uh oh, here comes Hook! Daniels keeps Hook back. Hook tells Roddy he’s not wrong. Roddy’s foot was under the ropes, so fair enough. Let’s settle it. Roddy VS Hook, FTW Championship, here tonight in Milwaukee! Roddy tells “HOOOOK!” He’s good, man. Really.
But Roddy’s not fighting Hook here in this dump of a town! But he will call his shot real soon. And Hook will be the first to know when. Roddy leaves, the Fallen Angel keeps the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil from going after him. When and where will Roddy look to #SendHook home without that belt?
There’s something going on backstage!
Marina Shafir is tossing people around! Jon Moxley follows behind her warpath as she KICKS and TOSSES a security guard! The Problem & The Maniac then cross paths with The Elite. Matthew says hi, Mox, what’s up? Moxley replies with, “Gentlemen.” Then he looks Jack Perry up and down. Moxley doesn’t care what they say, Jack’s a good kid. Jack smiles, and Moxley now leads the way to gorilla. We hear what business Moxley has with AEW tonight, after the break.
Jon Moxley heads to the ring.
AEW returns as The Maniac walks with Marina Shafir through the crowd from the back side, then he grabs a mic. “I wonder if Darby Allin is somewhere out there in Milwaukee tonight. No, I don’t think so. Some years ago, I wrestled a young kid I’d never heard of. Nobody had, he had nothing in the world, he slept in his car, he had no chance against me, but he showed no fear. I beat the absolute piss outta that kid for 20 minutes, and afterward, he looked at me and he smiled. In that moment, I knew, that kid was special. And I still think that.” The fans cheer that.
Moxley says Darby is his own man, walks his own path, and more importantly than that, he plays the game the way it was meant to be played: with reckless abandon. Darby Allin knows that the chance to be in this sport, the greatest sport in the world, just the chance to be in this business, to get into this ring, to perform in front of all these people on this TV show, is a privilege! That is not something you are entitled to. How quickly we forget. Moxley is not an impatient man, but the clock is ticking. He just wants to talk, so let’s make this easy. Moxley doesn’t wanna apply any pressure, but he will, so don’t make him.
Darby, Moxley just wants to talk. Moxley drops the mic, then takes his leave, Marina following behind. What exactly does Moxley want to talk about? Will the Relentless One hear him out?
Backstage interview with Chris Jericho, “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith.
Renee is now with The Learning Tree, The Redwood & The Bad Apple. Ever since last week’s massive match with The Conglomeration & Hook, it seems Jericho has wanted to get something off his chest. What’s on his mind? “Hi, guys~!” But Jericho doesn’t think Cassidy realizes the severity of what he did when he ruined Jericho’s $7,000 jacket a few years ago. And while Cassidy may not remember it, Jericho will never forget, so here’s a reminder of the heinous atrocity he committed.
Footage flashbacks us to July 15th, 2020. Jericho and his Jericho Appreciate Society were calling Cassidy out at Daily’s Place. Cassidy did appear, and he gave a lazy thumbs down! Orange juice rained from above, and turned Jericho’s jacket from white to pale orange! Return to the present and Jericho again says it was $7,000! Jericho wants that back. That’s why on Friday, the Continental Contenders Challenge, Keith will freshly squeeze that out of Cassidy’s hide! Bill says that as Jericho has always taught them, “The true indication of a man’s character does not lie within his heart, it lies within his ability to make good on his debts.”
Keith shouts, “MAKE GOOD ON YOUR DEBTS!” Wait, Cassidy walks in. And he says he’ll make this easy for them. Tell Chris Jericho (who is right next to Cassidy), that if Keith wins on Friday, Cassidy will hand over $7,000 in cash. Hey, Renee. Cassidy leaves, and Keith is furious over this disrespect! Keith says on Collision, he makes sure Cassidy pays the damn price! Will the Bad Apple beat the pulp out of Orange Cassidy? Or is Jericho never getting that money?
AEW Women’s World Championship: Mariah May VS Nyla Rose!
Forget Beauty & The Beast, this is Glamour VS The Native Beast! Will Nyla end Mariah’s twisted fairytale and be back atop the mountain? Or will Mariah have Nyla shouting, “MAYDAY! MAYDAY!” as she’s going down?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who shines under the spotlight!
The bell rings and Mariah circles with Nyla while the fans rally up. The two step up, and Mariah SLAPS Nyla! Nyla smiles, and she grabs Mariah by the throat! Nyla puts Mariah on ropes, but Mariah just SLAPS again! Mariah talks smack, but Nyla TOSSES her to a corner! Nyla runs up, Mariah dodges, and she SLAPS again! Nyla kicks low, reels Mariah in, but Mariah scurries under! Mariah then SLAPS Nyla again! That’s four times already! Mariah gives more slaps, even more mocking each time. Nyla just gets pissed! She fireman’s carries Mariah, but Mariah slips free to CLUB Nyla! Mariah runs, tries a trip, but Nyla stays up!
Mariah avoids a stomp, KICKS from below, but Nyla CROSSBODIES! The fans fire up and Nyla mocks Mariah’s sassy posing. Nyla sits Mariah up to ELBOW her in the head! Nyla scoops to SLAM Mariah, then drags her up, for another scoop and SLAM! Mariah writhes, Nyla leg drops! Cover, TWO! Nyla is annoyed but she drags Mariah up. Nyla CLUBS Mariah, hoist her onto the ropes but Mariah slips down! Mariah HOTSHOTS Nyla, hurries up a corner, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, ONE!!! Nyla shocks Mariah, and then Mariah gets mad. Mariah storms up to stomp in the corner, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref counts, Mariah lets off at 4, and Nyla sputters as she rises up. Mariah storms back over, CHOPS Nyla, then soaks up the cheers and jeers. Mariah runs corner to corner, to UPPERCUT! Mariah keeps moving, having fun now. Mariah runs back in, to UPPERCUT again! Mariah says one more time, and she goes corner to corner, to UPPERCUT! Nyla staggers and Mariah acts all innocent. Mariah then sees Nyla go to another corner, she runs in, but Nyla catches her, to BULLDOG! And SPLASH, but onto knees! Mariah clamps onto Nyla with a facelock, grinds her down, but Nyla endures. Nyla rises, but Mariah thrashes to keep her down.
Nyla continues to fight, she rises up, and she picks Mariah up, only for Mariah to make it a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Dynamite returns to single picture, and Nyla RAMS Mariah into a corner! Nyla runs up, Mariah goes up and over! Nyla hits buckles, staggers back, and Mariah rains down fists! Mariah runs, to SHOTGUN! Nyla falls, Mariah covers, ONE!! Nyla is still toughing it out, so Mariah hauls her up. Mariah underhooks, Nyla wrenches out, DOUBLE HEADBUTTS collide! Both women thinking the same thing, and they both fall back! The fans fire up as Nyla and Mariah sputter and stir!
A standing count begins, and we reach 5 of 10 while the fans rally up. Mariah and Nyla sit up, and head for each other. They both rise, and Mariah fires a forearm! Nyla fires back! Mariah fires another! Nyla snarls and fires back! Mariah goes to ropes, comes back and ROCKS Nyla! And again, and again, and again! Mariah HAMMERS away, then runs, but into a KNEE! Nyla kisses Mariah, runs, but Mariah ROCKS her! Mariah keeps moving, but Nyla gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! Mariah tumbles and the fans fire up again! Mariah is in a corner, Nyla runs up to SPLASH! Then a whip right back into the corner!
Nyla runs in again, BACK BODY BLOCK, and a LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Mariah is still in this and Nyla gets mad! The fans rally, Nyla rises and drags Mariah in. BEAST- NO, Mariah grabs ropes, and rains down fists! Mariah kicks Nyla away, adjusts position, then leaps, CROSSBODY! Nyla rolls through and deadlifts Mariah! The fans fire up for the POWERSLAM! Mariah flounders out of the ring and the fans are torn. Nyla is frustrated, the ref tells Mariah she has to get back in. The ref checks Mariah, Mariah slowly rises, but Nyla goes to the steps. Mariah lunges to trip Nyla up! Nyla lands hard on steps, and Mariah grins as she tricks the beast!
Mariah runs to KNEE Nyla off the steps! Mariah rolls into the ring to let the count handle this. Nyla is still down at 5 of 10, but the fans rally up. Mariah mocks Toni Storm as she frolics and rolls around. Nyla stands at 8! Nyla hobbles at 9, and lunges in at 9.9!! Mariah is furious, the fans fire up, and Mariah runs up to KNEE Nyla! Then she reels Nyla in for STORM ZERO!! Cover, Mariah wins!
Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
It wasn’t strength but Glamour that killed the beast! Mariah gloats and raises the belt high, but this was just her first defense. Will she have to fight even harder to stay on top of this division?
Deonna Purrazzo speaks.
“Every great artist goes through phases. Picasso’s Blue Period, Tchaikovsky’s Conservatory Years. The Texas Bull Rope Match was meant to be MY magnum opus. The crowning moment in the development of the Age of the Virtuosa.” Deonna throws her glass against the wall, and says it was not. But that doesn’t mean she’s done making her art. No, no, no. She has only just begun. Deonna will take on Hikaru Shida this Friday, will she prove the Shining Samurai is not ready to go All Out?
Mercedes Mone is here!
The CEO, who is still the Two Belt Boss after NJPW Capital Collision last Friday, walks out with The Brickhouse by her side. Between that and her facing Shida this Saturday, that would explain Mone’s kimono style outfit. Mone steps into the ring, grabs a mic, and tells “Milwaukeeeee~! Please say hello to your C E O.” And she is feeling some type of way after defending her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship. And you know who else is feeling some type away after a strong victory? Hikaru Shida. Mone tells Shida, “Answer me this: How can you call yourself The Ace when you are not The Face of TBS?”
The fans chant, “HOLY SHIDA!” Mone is annoyed, she is Two Belts Mone, the Face of TBS, and the face of this whole damn company! And come Saturday at All Out, Shida will learn just like the rest of this division, that there is a price to pay when you mess with Mone. Mone drops the mic, laughs it up, but then Shida’s on the tron! She gets Mone’s attention, and says in their last match, Mone was one Katana away from looking at the NEW TBS Champion. Until that watchdog got involved! Mone knows, just like Milwaukee knows, that Mone can NOT beat The Ace! Shida reveals her new merch shirt!
Shida has good news for Mone. Christopher Daniels steps in, and he tells Kamille that she is a hell of a competitor. But when she’s ringside for Mone, she’s more like a nuisance. So when Shida challenges for the title at All Out, Kamille is BANNED from ringside! Shida smiles while Mone freaks out! Shida tells Mone here is Japanese she understands: Sayonara… B*TCH!! Mone is losing her cool over losing her muscle! Will she also lose her AEW TBS Championship this Saturday? Or will she just have to go All Out all alone?
The Elite speak.
Nicholas Jackson invites the cameraman in, because Jack Perry has something to say. Jack says three years ago, in Chicago, All Out 2021, Jack was in the ring when Bryan Danielson first set foot in AEW. Jack felt the ground shake, the electricity in the air, and promised himself that one day, it’d be his turn to stand in the ring with The American Dragon. But fast-forward to just earlier this year. Jack was sitting at home, hadn’t been in AEW for some time, and he heard the news that Bryan was bringing his career to an end. Jack realized that given how things were playing out, he’d probably never get his chance.
But he didn’t give up. Jack changed the person that he was, went to NJPW and started over. Jack sold his own shirts, and did EVERYTHING he had to in order to get back here, and he did it by himself! The truth is, someone like Bryan could’ve helped Jack out, but he didn’t. Because the only thing Bryan cares about his his stupid little fairytale ending. Well this Saturday, three years later, it won’t be a happy ending. Matthew tells Bryan that The EVPs have a quick message for him and his BCC friends. The Bucks will do anything, and they mean anything, to make sure the AEW World Championship comes back to where it belongs.
And where is that? With The Elite. Now cut the camera and get outta here. The cameraman does as told, but what happens when The Scapegoat goes All Out against THE GOAT?
Bryan Danielson is here!
Seems we won’t have to wait long for a response! Milwaukee cheers as Bryan brings his world title with him to commentary, because he wants to watch the main event with his own eyes. Will #PacpoolCombatClub stand tall after going All In? Or will Ospreay, Orange & O’Reilly be STUPENDOUS in this Six Man Tag main event?
Six Man Tag: Pac, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta VS Will Ospreay, Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly!
Dynamite returns as The Conglomeration make their way out first, followed by the Aerial Assassin. Then the Swiss Superman & Decoder make their entrance, followed by The Bastard. Bryan says he can’t wait for Saturday to see Pac and Ospreay have it out. But in response to The Elite’s warnings, they have only motivated Bryan to become the best AEW World Champion ever. The fans are torn but Claudio brings Ospreay out to send him into railing! The ref reprimands everyone, but Pac taunts Ospreay. Cassidy crawls, Pac stalks him, but then Cassidy slips away! But no one is there to tag! Claudio tags, and he runs in to UPPERCUT!
Yuta runs up to LARIAT! Claudio snapmares Cassidy, Yuta goes up, ROCKET LAUNCHER SPLASH! Cover, Kyle breaks it! The fans fire up, but then Claudio TOSSES Kyle! Claudio UPPERCUTS Kyle against barriers, then leaves him behind. Claudio goes back to Cassidy, drags him to the corner, then stomps away in the corner. Yuta adds hands, then digs his knee in. The ref counts, Yuta lets off, and he pushes the ref aside to tag Claudio. Pac also steps in, Claudio CHOPS Cassidy, then the group coordinates. Pac & Yuta double whip Claudio in, but Cassidy DUMPS Claudio out! Yuta runs in but Claudio sends him into buckles!

Bryan leaves commentary to go celebrate with his team! The AEW World Trios Champions are victorious, though Pac and Ospreay are still brawling somewhere in the arena… WAIT! THE ELITE ATTACKS! The fans boo as The Bucks, Jack Perry and even Okada mug The BCC 4v3! They scrape Claudio out, kick Yuta out, and they beat down Bryan! Jack grabs a steel chair and brings it in! The Bucks sit Bryan up, but Claudio TACKLES Jack! Yuta returns, too! But this is still a 4v3 fight! Bryan gets the better of The Bucks, they go running! The BCC stand their ground, and Bryan says it is time to kick Jack’s effin’ head in!!
The fans are thunderous, but The Bucks save Jack! The Elite is in retreat, all their gold in hand. But then Claudio gets a mic to tell The Elite, “Let me tell you this face to face. You kids just made the biggest mistake of your life.” The fans add on, “YOU EFFED UP!” Matt says this is a family show, stop that! But Claudio says that lately, he has been in the mood for collecting gold. The IWGP Trophy in Mexico, the AEW World Trios Championships, and now… Those AEW World Tag Team Championships! And it’s not like Claudio has anything to do for All Out right now. Neither does Yuta. So then, BCC VS The Bucks, for THE AEW World Tag Team titles!
The fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” and The Bucks say fine! Will the BCC soon be dripping with gold? Bryan then gets the mic to tell Jack there have been a lot of people, including himself, who have been so frustrated and who are so sick and tired of Jack’s crap. Bryan guarantees us one thing: This Saturday at All Out, Jack Perry gets his EFFIN’ HEAD KICKED IN!! The American Dragon and his friends are all fired up, are they going to burn down The Elite once and for all?
Wait, cameras catch up with Pac and Ospreay backstage! Pac CLAWS Ospreay’s eyes! Refs tell them to stop, but Pac BOOTS Ospreay into a road case! Pac then drags Ospreay onto the case, drags him up, and suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER!! Ospreay writhes, clutches his neck and shoulder, and Daniels storms in! Pac says he warned Ospreay not to underestimate him! You do it at your own peril! See you Saturday! The Bastard leaves, did he just ensure victory in Chicago?
MORE BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
After what we just saw, Tony Khan has decided to raise the bar once again! It will be an All Star 8 Man Tag of The Elite VS Pac & The Blackpool Combat Club! Will The Bucks, The Scapegoat & The Rainmaker assert their dominance even before All Out? Or will The Bastard, The American Dragon, The Swiss Superman & The Decoder prove they’re the real elite wrestlers around here?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
Schiavone says we have arrived at the contract signing “for what may be one of the most violent matches we’ve ever witnessed in All Elite Wrestling.” Saturday, All Out, it will be a Steel Cage Match between former AEW World Champions, Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland! So welcome in first, alongside Prince Nana, Swerve Strickland! “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Nana does the dance and fans cheer as The Realest makes his way to the ring. Schiavone already thanks Swerve for agreeing to No Physicality, and now welcomes in Hangman Page. The Blackhat Cowboy’s music hits, but where is he…?
Swerve looks around in case it’s a sneak attack, but no, we still don’t get Hangman. Schiavone cues it up again, “Hangman Adam Page!” The music restarts, but still no Cowboy? What’s going on here? Swerve is annoyed, the fans boo, could this just be Hangman troll- Oh no. Hangman is on the tron as he knocks on the door. The door to whose house? Swerve’s House! Hangman tells Swerve, “Did you really think I’d give you the satisfaction of a formality? Of me putting my signature on a contract for something that we both already know is going to happen?” Hangman says Swerve is a hard man to find.
Hangman looked all over Florida, all over Washington, his fiancée left him and his kids aren’t in the picture anymore. You’d think Swerve has nothing in this life other than the ring that he sits in tonight. But he messed up. He showed the world, and he showed Hangman something that’s important to him: his childhood home. Hangman can see it now: Mama Strickland running across these dirty floors, fixing Swerve’s supper; Papa Strickland telling Swerve to shut up so he can hear the TV. And knowing the kind of man Swerve turned out to be, surely his father didn’t love him much, did he? Papa probably regrets having Swerve at all.
Hangman wonders what a wonderful world this would have been had Swerve never been born. Oh no, is he splashing gasoline everywhere?! Swerve is losing his cool but there’s nothing he can do! Hangman says this is Swerve’s House. And people might wonder why Hangman came here and not to Milwaukee to be in the ring tonight. But Swerve should remember. Swerve told Hangman last week, like when he sat outside Hangman’s front door and watched him carry his pregnant wife to the hospital, Hangman had to make a decision. A choice between hate and success. A choice between vengeance and peace.
Hangman says for him, that isn’t much of a choice at all. For Hangman, all those are one in the same. Hangman told Swerve for months and months and months that there was nothing that Hangman wanted more out of this life… than to burn Swerve’s world to the ground. Swerve is both frothing at the moth, and breaking down with tears, as Hangman finishes pouring out the gasoline. Hangman says if he couldn’t be the one to take the world title from Swerve, he was more than happy to help it slip through Swerve’s fingers. And this Saturday, locked inside of a steel cage, Hangman will take what is left of Swerve.
Hangman will take Swerve’s pride, his dignity, because Swerve will be on his knees begging for Hangman’s mercy, pleading for forgiveness, but Hangman will not give them to Swerve. But the night is long, time to say goodbye. Not for him, but for Swerve. So if Swerve hasn’t already said it, say goodbye to the AEW World Championship, and to any ideas of ever holding it again. On Saturday, Swerve says goodbye to his health, his career, his joy, and his happiness. And tonight, he gets some practice. Hangman lights a very big match, and says tonight, live in front of the world, Swerve gets to say goodbye to Swerve’s house.
The match hits the gasoline, and it all goes up in flames! Swerve can only shout, “NO! NOOO!” The fans lose their minds as the entire building burns, and Hangman simply sips his whiskey. Nana asks why, but Swerve seethes as sadly, he knows why. But then, will Swerve, or rather can Swerve get his revenge?
My Thoughts:
This was an awesome go-home Dynamite right here. It also feels it went a bit faster than other Dynamites, not sure why. But great opening promo segment with Garcia and MJF, though there were some awkward silences. It seems like a few of those were because of fans getting rowdy and MJF having to wait them out. But with MJF standing tall after smashing that bottle on Garcia’s head, Garcia surely has to beat MJF at All Out. Garcia will use that to avenge himself from before, and surely MJF being a sore loser, he will go after Garcia later to push things to WrestleDream in October.
Great squash win for Hayter to keep her return momentum going, and with Saraya & Harley watching, we’ll slow burn to that match of Hayter VS Saraya because outside of title matches, that’s how stories still go for the AEW Women’s Division. To be fair, this is the only other story, so I suppose that’s just how it’ll have to be. Speaking of, very good promo from Mone, but great stuff from Shida and Daniels revealing the ringside ban on Kamille. Mone VS Shida as a truly 1v1 match will be awesome stuff, and could probably go either way. Mone is still a great Heel, but Shida making history at All Out would be great stuff.
Very good promo from Deonna, and Deonna VS Shida will make for a great match for Shida to build momentum. Great title match from Mariah and Nyla, but I figured Mariah would retain. They didn’t say anything more about this title, so maybe Mariah just gets to take the weekend off so they can build a new contender. Very good promo segment from Roddy Strong with Hook to set up their title match, but I do like that Roddy is keeping us guessing. I feel like he would just say if it was for All Out, so maybe they actually keep that card a bit slimmer. Roddy VS Hook would still be a great match even if it’s on TV, though you can bet The Kingdom gets involved.
Very good stuff with Moxley, Marina Shafir and this still mysterious new team forming. Marina has been solid on ROH, but her getting to be even more menacing on AEW TV is great stuff. And Moxley calling out Darby Allin but in a supposedly friendly manner is good stuff. Moxley surely wants to recruit Darby to this new team, but I have a feeling Darby will refuse, which means Moxley VS Darby will happen and in very violent fashion. I’m sure Moxley’s team will add other talent that hasn’t gotten to do much. Honestly, let’s get The Butcher a spot on that team,
Great promo from The Conglomeration and Ospreay to hype up tonight as well as the rest of the week. I also really liked Cassidy joining in the Jericho Vortex’s promo to put extra stakes on Cassidy VS Keith. The Continental Contenders Challenge is a fun set of matches, and honestly, with this money stipulation, Cassidy VS Keith could go either way because it’ll help Conglomeration pivot into a story with Jericho Vortex. Mark Briscoe VS Lance Archer is going to be great, too. And while I love me some Mark Briscoe, Murderhawk Monster has to get something, so he might as well get into the Fatal 4 Way.
Okada VS Fletcher was an awesome match tonight, but I figured Okada would retain. And Konosuke going out there to confront Okada, Konosuke is definitely getting past Beast Mortos. And if anyone other than Okada is winning, it should be Konosuke. Konosuke’s been doing great in AEW, he did great in the G1 Climax, let a midcard title be his reward. Very good promo from Jack & The Bucks, and it’s fine that they spell it out for us because of course The EVPs will try and help Jack. Awesome Six Man Tag main event, great win for Pac’s team, and then what a brutal brainbuster for Ospreay backstage. That math shows Ospreay retaining at All Out, as I figured.
As for Elite brawling with BCC, good stuff, and they do add one more match for All Out with the World Tag Team Championships. That big 8 Man Tag on Friday will be a big indicator, though I feel like something wild will have to happen to muddy the math. I still don’t see Bryan losing to Jack Perry, but then I don’t see Bucks losing to Claudio & Yuta. And then, just wild stuff out of Swerve and Hangman here tonight. Now, they did not in any way set Swerve’s childhood home on fire. There are subtle differences in how the two houses look to tell you they set some other building on fire, but still, the idea that Hangman would go so far as to burn someone’s house down is huge. And this math has to favor Swerve winning at All Out, no way Hangman gets away with arson.
My Score: 9/10
