PLAY BY PLAY

Jon Moxley speaks.

It was only moments after the disgusting and horrific ending to WrestleDream that The Maniac told us, “Someone has to be responsible when things get out of control. So I will be responsible. People think they know what I’m about? They think they know what motivates me? They don’t know anything. I have a dream of a land of opportunity. Where people come to AEW and they can achieve anything they want. They can be the best version of themselves they can be. Wrestling gave me everything in the world, I want that for other people. 150 wrestlers on the roster, with big fat paychecks and their junk on their hands. What’re they supposed to do?”

Moxley says he hates what AEW has become. Egos are out of control, they’re celebrating things that don’t need celebrating, dancing and partying when there’s no need to be dancing and partying. Moxley cannot stand it anymore. The Blackpool Combat Club is driving around in their truck while we get clips of the roster reacting to Bryan Danielson’s critical condition. But Moxley says he will burn down the forest to grow a new one. He is not sentimental. He and the BCC will do what has to be done. They see a better future and they will make it happen. If you want, you can come with them. If you don’t, run while you can. Stand down while you can. Get out of their way!

What’s the “need to know” for those in AEW? What’s the “need to know?” What is the new paradigm? It is very simple: You work for Moxley now. It sure seems Wheeler Yuta has fallen in line under that principle, but will the rest of AEW refuse this order?

Adam Cole is here!

San Jose fires up for the Dynamite return of the Panama City Playboy, but we all saw him return to AEW at WrestleDream. Fans join in on “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” Cole grabs a mic while the fans chant, “Welcome Back! Welcome Back!” Cole says, “I think I know the answer, but who’s ready for Storytime with Adam Cole, Baybay?” The fans cheer because they are ready! Cole says first and foremost, to The Undisputed Kingdom, Roddy, Mike & Matt, he loves them all, but he has to do this on his own.

Now, Cole did think about coming out here to talk about his year long road to recovery, all the challenges he went through, and how damn happy he is to be back in this ring. But truth be told, we don’t need to hear about that. What we do need to hear about is the worst human being Cole has ever met, and that is MJF. Boys and girls, life is filled with shades of gray, trying to constantly decide right from wrong, good from evil. And if Cole has learned anything, it is that sometimes you fight evil with evil. Because MJF will tell Cole that he betrayed him for no reason. That Cole broke a promise and destroyed MJF’s trust.

Trust is a very interesting word. Trust is indeed the foundation of every good friendship. Without trust, you have nothing. Adam Cole may be many things, but stupid is not one of them. And anyone who thinks that you should trust MJF is stupid! The MJF that we see now, boys and girls, is the REAL MJF. The one Cole saw behind closed doors. The one that has terrorized AEW for five YEARS! The one that pretends to say he cares about AEW when in reality, he only cares about himself. THAT is the real MJF. If Cole could describe MJF in one word, it is “Fake.” Everything about MJF head to toe is fake!

Look at his hair! It took two surgeries, but it’s on his head now! FAKE. Or wait, better yet, his brash attitude. Acting so much like MJF does what he wants, when he wants, and doesn’t care about anyone, when in reality, MJF is just a scared, insecure little boy. If you wanna put that to the test, everyone right now can go on social media, and if you trash MJF, MJF will act like he doesn’t care, but Cole swears to God, MJF will be crying in a corner of his hotel room! “MJF is a phony. MJF can’t be trusted. And everyone in that locker room right now is smiling and agreeing with every single thing that I am saying.”

Cole does wanna talk about the locker room, because AEW has the best pro-wrestlers in the world! The fans cheer that! Cole says we also have a young group of guys hungry, trying to get better week after week, and that carry AEW into the future and continue to make this the best pro-wrestling company in the world! The fans cheer that, too! Cole says it makes him sick to his stomach to imagine these young talents and seeing MJF as an example for a path to success, when MJF’s path is nothing but failure and loneliness! Cole says MJF thinks that he is someone special. MJF thinks he is the best that’s ever been in AEW.

Cole swears with every fiber of his being, that everyone in AEW hates MJF! Cole hates MJF! He hates everything MJF is and that he stands for, how he sounds, how he looks, that Cole has to share a building with MJF! So let’s not waste any more time. They’re gonna fight, so why not here and now in San Jose? MJF just needs to bring himself down the ramp, show Cole what kind of man he is, and Cole just whoops dat ass. What do you say, Brochacho? Well here comes MJF! At least, his music plays. Cole looks to the ramp, then he looks to the crowd, but where is the Wolf of Wrestling? The fans boo as we don’t get MJF after all.

MJF instead appears on the tron, sitting in his home by the fireplace, a glass of wine in hand. MJF takes a sip before he says, “Hey, Brochacho. I’ve done a lot of growing in this industry. I’ve been at this since I was a teenager. A full decade later, I can say I’ve learned a lot. Through immaturity, through loss, through gain, and as a multimillionaire at 28, there’s been a lot of gain. Then learning how to trust others, and then later learning the hard way, in this sport, there’s no such thing as trust. There’s a lot of jackals in professional wrestling, especially when you reach a top level at a young age. They are looking, hoping, waiting, watching, licking their chops to see if you’ll trip… so they can chew you up and spit you out.

“And after years of letting people in and paying the consequences, I told myself I’d never let it happen again. And then you came into my life, Adam. You tricked me into letting my guard down, and you made me pay for that, didn’t you? Yeah. You stabbed me in the back, leaving a void in me forever. Because of you, I can never trust, and I can never, ever, ever trust again. The man I am today is not my fault. The despicable actions and mayhem I create are not my fault, Adam. It’s yours. This void you made… It’s yours. And yet these unwashed heathens cheer you? Typical.

“So I’m gonna leave you with a void, Cole. I know you want nothing more than revenge. I know you want nothing more than to beat me within an inch of my life! Well it’s not gonna happen. You’ll never get me inside that ring. And for my amusement, I will keep dangling the carrot of sweet revenge right in front of your sunken little face. You will die with a void of unfulfilled vengeance, and for that empty, cold, sad, lonely little life… You can thank me later.” The fans boo as MJF takes another sip of wine.

Cole says okay, but please, never, ever forget, because Cole knows MJF can hear him, that Cole knows MJF better than anyone. And Cole means it when he says it: MJF can run, but he can’t hide. And Cole promises with every fiber of his being, when he gets his hands on MJF, he gives MJF the beating of a lifetime, and he makes MJF wish they had never met! The fans fire up for that one! When and where will Cole have his vengeance?

AEW shares footage from after WrestleDream.

Renee Paquette met with Chris Jericho backstage to interview him about his loss in the ROH World Championship match. Jericho says he felt vindicated. What? How? Jericho explains that this is the “Week of Chris Jericho.” He is costarring in the number one movie in America, Terrifier 3. Plus, Fozzy is on tour, selling out venues across the country. And tonight, he was going to become The Nueve by winning the ROH World Championship again, but as he knew would happen, Mark Briscoe cheated to win that match. Jericho is of course spinning things in his favor when it was his Branches that wanted to cheat so he could win.

Jericho says he wants a rematch, and soon. He anxiously awaits the reply, because Jericho is going to become a two-time ROH World Champion, just like Jay Briscoe. Thanks, Mark. But speaking of…

Backstage interview with Mark Briscoe.

This is live here tonight as Renee is with the ROH World Champion, and she asks his reaction to Jericho’s claims of Mark cheating. Mark says you know Jericho has been known to say a lot of dumb stuff. The world saw Mark beat Jericho’s ass up one side and down the other, drop him on his head, and pin him, 1-2-3 at WrestleDream. Now Jericho wants a rematch? Like Mark said, Jericho’s been known to say a lot of dumb stuff. And Mark can let that go in one ear and out the other. But what Mark can’t let slide is that Jericho let Mark’s brother’s name come out of his mouth again. For that, Jericho will pay! Jericho HAS his rematch, because Mark wants to get at him again!

But the thing is, they gotta crank it up! Mark wants to crank up the violence! This won’t be no regular match. Next week on Dynamite, Mark VS Jericho, LADDER WAR!! As for tonight… And in steps FTR! Mark says let the ass kicking commence! His boys are gonna get hold of Bill and Bad Apple in San Jose and do the damn thing! Mark fires up, FTR fires up with him, and they head out. Will the #TopGuys make sure to clip the Branches before Mark chops the Learning Tree down once and for all?

FTR VS “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith!

The teams sort out and Dax Harwood starts against Keith. The fans rally for FTR as Dax and Keith tie up. Dax headlocks, Keith powers up and out, but Dax runs him over. Dax keeps moving, Keith drops down, but Dax blocks a hip toss, only for Keith to block Dax’s hip toss and LARIAT him down! The fans boo but Keith snarls. Keith runs up to BOOT Dax, then has Dax in a corner. Keith CHOPS, ROKCS and repeat! Dax CHOPS back! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Dax snap suplexes, then gets up to drop a leg, brother! Dax drags Keith up, tags Cash and whips Keith. Dax drops and Cash slingshot SHOULDER TACKLES Keith! Cover, TWO!

Cash stands Keith up to CHOP! And UPPERCUT! Cash has Keith in a corner, CHOPS him then UPPERCUTS again. But Keith scoops and SLAMS Cash! Then Keith drops a knee on Cash’s face! Tag to The Redwood and the fans are torn. Bill storms up on Cash, CLUBS him down, then CLUBS him again. Bill puts Cash in a corner, says, “You like to chop, huh?” Bill CHOPS Cash! The fans fire up, the ref reprimands, but Bill CHOPS again! Bill whips corner to corner, Cash goes up but can’t get over Bill! Bill carries Cash, Cash slips free to shove and UPPERCUT! Bill stays up but Cash DROPKICKS! Bill staggers, Dax ROCKS him!

Cash ROCKS Bill, Dax ROCKS Bill, repeat! Cash dodges as boot, and he LARIATS! Bill stays up, Keith runs in, but Cash CLOBBERS Keith! Cash keeps moving, but runs into a BIG BOSS MAN SLAM! The fans are torn as Bill truly stands tall, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Bill paces while staying between FTR. Bill stands on Cash’s neck at the ropes! The ref counts, Bill lets off and apologizes, but that just lets Keith get a cheap shot! The ref then has to keep Dax back, and Bill drags Cash up. Bill UPPERCUTS Cash, brings him around, and CLUBS him down! Cash writhes but Bill paces again. Bill taunts Dax, puts Cash on ropes, and CHOKES him! The ref counts, Bill lets off to taunt Dax, but that again lets Keith get a cheap shot in! Bill drags Cash up, bumps him off buckles and Keith tags in. Keith digs his boot into Cash’s face, but lets off as the ref counts. Keith then snapmares Cash to rain down fists!

Keith lets off and Bill gloats. Keith stands Cash up to suplex, but Cash CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Keith CLOBBERS Cash! Tag to Bill, and Bill drags Cash around to drop a BIG elbow! And another BIG elbow! Cover, TWO! Cash toughs it out but Bill taunts Dax again. Bill mockingly chants “F T R! F T R!” then he drags Cash up. Tag to Keith and the Branches mug Cash. Keith drags Cash out, has a facelock, and he grinds Cash down. Cash endures, the fans rally up, and Cash powers up! Keith holds on, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Keith knees Cash low, then suplexes, but Cash slips free!

Cash waistlocks to hit a BIG back suplex! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Cash and Keith crawl, reach out, hot tag to Bill! Bill runs up on Cash, but Cash dodges! Bill hits buckles! Dax rains fists down on Keith, but then sees Bill storming up. Dax ROCKS Bill first, then goes back to Keith. Dax whips, Keith reverses, but Dax reverses back to wrench and short arm LARIAT! Bill runs up, Dax wrenches him, short arm LARIAT! Bill stays up! Bill LARIATS Dax in return!

The fans fire up again, and Bill drags Dax to his feet. Bill reels Dax in, but Dax fights the lift! Cash is up top, he CROSSBODIES Bill! Cash then CLOBBERS Keith off the apron! FTR sets up, Bill staggers over, SHATTER- NO, Bill ROCKS Cash with a right hand! Bill CLUBS Dax, reels him back in, and lifts for a POWERBOMB! Bill SHOVES Cash right out of the ring! Tag to Keith and Keith climbs up! Bill sends Dax into the DIAMOND DUST! Bill adds a BOOT!! Cover, Cash leaps over the ref to break it! The fans are thunderous, but Bill TOSSES Cash out. Cash grabs Bill’s foot, drags him out by his long hair, but Bill shoves Cash.

Cash stops himself short, and dodges Bill to POST him! Cash reels Bill in, TORNADO DDT to the floor! Keith is stunned, he runs up on Cash but misses! Dax runs up on Keith, tag to Cash! Dax whips Keith, FTR drops, hurdles, drops again, SHATTER MACHINE!! Cover, FTR wins!

Winners: FTR, by pinfall

Bill is big and Keith is mean, but they’re not #TopGuys like Dax & Cash! Wait, we see La Faccion Ingobernables watching backstage. Rush, Dralistico y Beast Mortos like what they see, but will LFI look to use FTR as their road to the AEW Tag Team Championships?

Wait, FTR’s pals, The Outrunners, are here! San Jose fires up for Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd as they flex and strut their way down to join Dax & Cash. LFI is even more curious, but perhaps that’s just more targets for them to tear apart. The fans fire up as the #FTRunners do the Mega Power Handshake! They flex in celebration, but will Dax, Cash, Truth & Turbo soon be atop the tag division?

Backstage interview with The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn.

Renee is with Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Daddy Ass, and says after their win at WrestleDream, what is next? Billy says what’s next is the gym. They’re three of the best bodies in AEW. But Billy will let the boys fill her in on the rest while he gets the car ready. Bowens says that is right! They have a lot to say, because they are live on TBS, live in San Jose, where EVERYONE Loves The Acclaimed! Caster says that’s right! They got their bodies right, they got their minds right, and the Best Wrestler Alive is back with a proper jacket. The Acclaimed, the winningest tag team in AEW history, has another PPV win, as if it was a surprise.

But what is next is that they want more. And more, and more, and more! But in steps Montel Vontavious Porter with Shelton Benjamin. And MVP tells them that this is the reason they need to stop playing around. When they’re ready to be serious, give him a call. MVP hands them a card, but Bowens says they don’t need anything from MVP. MVP chuckles and has Shelton head out. The Gold Standard has a match with the Bad Child, will AEW start to feel the hurt?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone w/ Kamille VS Queen Aminata!

The CEO wasn’t scheduled for a match on WrestleDream, but she still barged into the backstage area like she runs the place. She got on Aminata’s bad side and given Aminata’s win-loss record, she more than deserves this title shot. Will Mone pay for her arrogance with gold? Or will she deny the One True African Woman her crowning achievement?

The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see who has gold in the Golden State!

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. The fans chant for “C E O! C E O!” but Kamille takes a swipe. The ref reprimands but Mone CLUBS Aminata in the distraction. Mone throws Aminata down, does her dance, then drags her up. Mone scoops, Aminata slips free and waistlocks. Mone elbows out, runs, and jumps to arm-drag! But Aminata drags Mone down, steps over, and twerk attacks! The fans cheer, Mone pushes Aminata away, and Aminata does the CEO dance! Winner: Mercedes Mone, by submission (still AEW TBS Champion)

The CEO plays it off like it wasn’t that hard of a match, and she holds up both AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Championships to celebrate. Will anyone from around this wide world of wrestling be able to take those titles from Mone?

Backstage interview with Private Party.

Renee is with Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy, and says they have asked for this time, but then also asked for The Young Bucks to be here? Matthew & Nicholas Jackson walk in and say, “Long time no see.” Zay tells The Bucks, congratulations for winning at WrestleDream, it was all fair and square. But Zay knows they know that Private Party almost had them and almost became the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions. Matt asks what their point is, and Quen says they want one more shot at the titles. Matt says he’ll admit he was wrong, saying they were nothing but a “midcard act.” He was dead wrong.

Private Party did in fact take The Bucks to their limit, one of their toughest title defenses ever. Hell, Zay kicked out of an EVP Trigger. But that said, that does not work for them, brother. There is no rematch. In fact, that was Private Party’s last chance while The Bucks are champs. But hey, they’re top stars, great stuff. Keep it up. The Bucks have to go now, big match tonight, bye. But then in walks Stokely Hathaway, and he says it is crazy. Every time Stoke’s failed in AEW, he hasn’t had his peers, coworkers or even social media say that he deserves another opportunity. So if he hasn’t gotten that, why should Private Party?

Granted, they could’ve had him in their corner on Saturday, but they said no. Private Party has been here since the Obama Administration, and they have nothing to show for it. So next time they challenge for the tag titles and they lose, Private Party is done, finished, cooked! Plus, everyone knows Zay’s the singles star of the two. But that’s none of his business. Stokely leaves, having stirred the pot. Zay starts to think, if that’s what it takes… Will Private Party be all about business with #BigStoke?

The Elite meet up backstage.

The Rainmaker, The Scapegoat and The EVPs all stand together with their gold. Jack Perry says before The Elite handles business, they need to acknowledge that today is a special day. Not just to them personally, but to the history and the creation of AEW. Because today is Kenny Omega’s birthday. Perry knows Omega hasn’t been here in some time, and that Omega’s had about 20 feet of his “putrid intestines” removed to save his life after The Elite almost ended it… But The Elite just wanted to give him something special on his special day. It’s a fairly plain birthday cake that says “Happy Birthday Kenny!”

And then Perry dumps MEAT on it! Is that liver? Okada says, “Happy Birthday, b*tch!” Perry adds, “Get well soon. Kenny. Or die. I don’t really care.” The Elite leaves the mess they made behind, but will The Cleaner find a way to clean this all up one day?

Six Man Tag: The Elite VS The Conglomeration!

At WrestleDream, The Young Bucks defeated Private Party to hold onto their gold, but The Rainmaker rudely rejected Kyle O’Reilly for a chance at his Continental Championship. Now Kyle’s friends, Orange Cassidy & Rocky Romero, are backing him up against The Elite! Will the Violent Artist earn his shot at Kazuchika Okada’s title? Or will this just be an even harsher rejection than at WrestleDream?

The trios sort out and Kyle starts against Okada. The fans chant for “O-KA-DA! O-KA-DA!” as the two circle. They tie up, Okada powers Kyle to ropes, but he lets off slowly. Kyle ROCKS Okada first, no waiting on funny business. Okada hits back, Kyle fires another, and the fans rally as the shots keep going! Kyle gets the edge, he wrenches the arm, but Okada UPPERCUTS free. Kyle KNEES low, runs but into a BOOT! Okada drags Kyle up, tags in Nick, and Nick headlocks. Kyle endures the grind, chinbars his way out, and tags Cassidy. Kitchen sink knee from Kyle, basement dropkick from Cassidy. Knee drop from Kyle, SOMERSAULT SENTON from Cassidy!

The fans rally but Matt runs up, only for Cassidy to block his kick. Kyle sweeps the leg, they sit Matt up, PENALTY KICK! Cassidy runs to sit Matt back up, and DOUBLE BASMENT DROPKICKS hit! Okada runs up to fire forearms and elbows! Rocky gets in, ducks ‘n ‘dodges to RANA Okada! Okada bails out, the fans fire up, and Kyle goes to the apron. Okada moves so the FLYING KNEE hits Nick! Cassidy DIVES onto Okada! Rocky FLYING RANAS Matt! The Conglomeration stands tall and the fans fire up while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cassidy puts Nick in the corner, tags Kyle, and Kyle climbs up to rain down fists! Kyle goes to TEN, then tags Rocky! Rocky climbs up, he rains down TEN fists! Then tag to Cassidy, and he fires up to hop up, and rains down ONE! That’s 21 just for Nick! But Okada BOOTS Cassidy and Nick DECKS Kyle and Rocky! Nick tags Matt, then whips Cassidy. Cassidy reverses but Nick goes up and over. Matt runs in to ROCK Cassidy, Nick SHINING WIZARDS! The Bucks coordinate, ASSISTED SHINING WIZARD, then another SHINING WIZARD! Cover, but Kyle & Rocky break it! Okada storms back in to CLUB Rocky.

The Elite all scoop and SLAM The Conglomeration! Then The Elite go to the apron, and they TRIPLE SLINGSHOT SENTON! Then they all pose together! San Jose cheers The Bucks, and Matt scoops Cassidy to BACKBREAKER! Nick tags in, to SLINGSHOT LEG DROP! Nick tags Okada, and Okada drags Cassidy up. Okada bumps Cassidy off buckles, whips him corner to corner, then runs in to ELBOW! Cassidy staggers, falls over, and Okada stares down with Kyle. Okada goes back to Cassidy, drags him up, and tags in Matt. Matt CLAWS Cassidy’s back, then he DECKS Cassidy! Matt drags Cassidy up to bump him off Nick’s boots!

Tag to Nick, The Bucks mug Cassidy, and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans duel as The Bucks double whip Cassidy. Cassidy ducks Nick, hooks him, and swings around to use Nick as a shield! Cassidy then BOOTS Matt away, and swings Nick again, DOUBLE LARIAT on Matt using Nick’s arm! Cassidy then BACKDROPS Nick away, Nick tags Okada! Okada reels Cassidy in, taunts Kyle, but Cassidy comes back to sunset flip! Okada flails, but he flips Cassidy off! So Cassidy just hot tags Kyle! Kyle dodges Okada to fire off forearms! Okada swings, misses, and Kyle fires off a strike fest! Kyle runs, blocks a boot, and he fires off another string of strikes!

Kyle sweeps the leg, but Matt runs up to kick low. Matt runs, but Kyle follows to KNEE him down! Nick runs up, Kyle blocks a kick to then give a kick! Nick hobbles but he avoids the leg sweep. Kyle blocks another kick and swings it into Matt! Kyle ROCKS Nick, runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Kyle rebounds to LARIAT! Okada rises up, ripcords, but Kyle BOOTS Okada first! GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Okada stays up, but Matt MACHO ELBOWS Kyle down!! Okada covers, TWO!! Kyle survives and the fans rally up! Okada brings Kyle up, whips him tot he corner, and then runs up, ELBOW ENZIGIRI COMBO!

Okada lifts Kyle for a REVERSE NECKBREAKER! Cover, but Rocky breaks it! Rocky ROCKS Nick, Matt ROCKS Rocky! Matt whips Rocky, mocks the Sting howl, then runs up, only for Rocky to dodge! That splash hits buckles, and Rocky LARITS Nick! And LARIATS Matt! Repeat! But Matt dodges, only for Rocky to DOUBLE LARIAT The Bucks! Okada runs up, Rocky dodges to UPPERCUT! Rocky cravats, SLICED- NO! Okada stops the bread to hit a TOMBSTONE! Tag to Nick, he tags Matt, and The Bucks bring up Kyle. They double whip, to DOUBLE ELBOW! Double kip up, and then they pump up the Reeboks!

The fans are torn, but Kyle stands. Kyle sees The Bucks are busy pumping, so he tags in Cassidy! The fans cheer as Cassidy goes up the corner. The Bucks see that, run up, but Cassidy leaps over. Cassidy DECKS Okada, dodges The Bucks again, and he DOUBLE RANAS! The fans fire up but Okada returns. Cassidy dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but Okada stops the DDT! Okada suplexes, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy holds on so Kyle can AX & SMASH! Then the HIGH LOW ATTACK! But The Bucks SUPERKICK Kyle & Cassidy! Rocky runs in, dodges Matt, SLICED BREAD for Nick! Matt feints a superkick to DDT Rocky!

Cassidy is back, he tilt-o-whirl DDTS Matt! The fans fire up with Cassidy as he throws off the elbow pad! Cassidy aims at Matt, but WHEELER YUTA is here!? BUSAIKU KNEE!!!

Winners: The Conglomeration, by disqualification

The Decoder already betrayed one former mentor, so why not come back to hurt this one? The fans boo as Yuta stomps away on Cassidy, and then here comes Claudio Castagnoli and Pac! The Swiss Superman BOOTS Rocky, and The Bastard BOOTS Kyle! The Elite has no idea what to make of this, other than they technically just lost. Pac also has a briefcase in hand? Pac stomps Kyle over and over, then CHOKES him with the case! Now Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir appear, and the fans boo as hard as they possibly can. Moxley drags Cassidy up, DECKS him, and The BCC just keeps stomping away on Cassidy!

Wait, TOP FLIGHT rushes out here! Dante Martin springboards to CANNONBALL Claudio! Action Andretti goes after Pac, Darius Martin is after Yuta, but Marina steps in. Claudio TOSSES Dante, Pac swings on Action but Action dodges! Action handsprings, but into Moxley’s FOREARM! Darius stomps Yuta, but he sees his team go down! Darius jumps on Moxley but Moxley SLINGS Darius off! Darius stands up, only for Marina to ROUNDHOUSE him back down! Claudio puts Dante back in, and Marina stands Darius up for MOTHER’S MILK! Then Marina feeds Darius to the DEATH RIDER!!

Kyle rises up but Yuta BOOTS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The Elite don’t seem to care anymore, they’re almost amused by this. But then The Dark Order rushes out here! Reynolds asks what the hell The Elite is doing before he, John Silver & Evil Uno rush to the ring! The fans fire up but as The Dark Order takes the fight to The BCC, but the numbers still don’t seem to be working. Marina YANKS Reynolds out of the ring to beat him down, Pac CLOBBERS Silver with the briefcase, and Claudio brawls with Uno. Uno kicks and ROCKS Claudio, but Claudio shoves him into Moxley’s SLEEPER!

Jack Perry joins The Elite and says they should just go now. The Elite leaves, not caring that Moxley and his crew are running roughshod over their company! Yuta whips Rocky into steel steps! Claudio takes Reynolds’ own belt away so that he and Marina can wrap it around Reynolds’ neck, against a corner post! Marina chokes Reynolds out! And then Yuta & Claudio bring steel steps over! Moxley has a mic to say, “Make no mistake about it. If you are involved in any way, shape or form with AEW, you are under attack!” Yuta & Claudio then RAM the steps into Reynolds!

Moxley says if you didn’t like Saturday night, if you don’t like this, understand that this is just the cost of doing business. The fans boo as three whole trios have been left wrecked by just five people. The BCC then leave through the crowd, and only now does Christopher Daniels, along with Daniel Garcia & Private Party, make it out here. They check on the nine battered men, just what more will The Maniac do?

Backstage interview with The Elite.

Alicia Atout catches up with Okada, Perry & The Bucks, and she asks The EVPs why they just let that all happen. Matt says no, none of that is their business. But Daniel Garcia & Private Party have returned backstage, and Red Death will not let The Bucks turn a blind eye to that. They are letting AEW go down in flames? They built this place five years ago but this is how they’re gonna act now? Perry gets in Garcia’s face, the two butt heads, but The EVPs and Private Party have everyone stand down. Perry says let’s get out of here, and The Elite leaves. Garcia says yeah, go ahead, walk away. How about The EVPs do their jobs?

The Elite don’t seem to care about All Elite, but Garcia says with how things are going crazy right now, he’s got Private Party’s back if they’ve got his. They say deal. Is AEW about to be like the Wild West where only the strong survive?

Shelton Benjamin w/ MVP VS Lio Rush w/ Leila Grey!

The Gold Standard & Montel Vontavious Porter may not have gotten Swerve Strickland on their side, but they’ve already spotted The Bad Child as a prospect. Will Shelton show Lio what he could have if he joins up? Or will Lio prove he can still be the Man of the Hour with Top Flight Airlines?

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. Lio and Shelton feel things out, then Shelton just SHOVES Lio down! Shelton smirks while Lio scowls. Lio stands back up, then slips around to waistlock. Shelton pries the hold open, whips Lio away, but Lio wheelbarrows. Shelton shoves him away, Lio redirects, but Shelton catches him! Shelton puts Lio in a corner, Lio BOOTS him away then goes up and over. Lio kicks, Shelton blocks and flips Lio, but Lio lands on his feet! Shelton still CLOBBERS Lio! The fans fire up as Lio goes to a corner. MVP says keep on him, and Shelton runs in to LARIAT!

Shelton brings Lio up, wihps corner to corner, but Lio slides ot a stop! Lio goes Matrix, handsprings then kicks, kicks and ENZIGIRIS! Lio eggs Shelton on, Shelton runs up but Lio DUMPS him out! Lio handspring kicks Shelton off the apron, then builds speed. Lio DIVES, into a STEP-UP KNEE! The fans fire up and Shelton hurries back into the ring. Shelton TOSSES Lio out hard, then pursues. Shelton stands Lio up, clinches, and OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY SUPLEXES Lio onto the floor! The fans fire up while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Shelton stalks Lio but the ref wants this in the ring. Shelton leaves Lio behind, MVP tells Lio he could still join up, and a ring count starts. Lio rises at 5 of 10, drags himself into the ring, but Shelton is right on him! Shelton puts Lio in a corner, ROCKS him with forearms, and Lio staggers away. Shelton follows Lio to another corner, and Lio fires a forearm! Shelton knees low, ROCKS Lio, then whips him corner to corner hard! Lio tumbles out through the ropes! Leila checks on Lio but MVP says this is what he was talking about. Leila tells MVP to back off, and the ref checks on Lio. Lio is somehow still in this, so the ring count begins.

Lio stirs at 5 of 10, Leila coaches him up, and MVP keeps taunting him. Lio drags himself up at 8, hobbles over and rolls in at 9! Shelton looms over Lio, kneels down to talk some smack, then rains down fists! The ref reprimands about closed fists, and Lio sputters to ropes. Shelton stands Lio up but Lio fires body shots! Lio puts up a fight as Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite returns again and Shelton TOSSES Lio back into the ring. Lio crawls to a corner, Shelton storms up, and Shelton drags Lio up. Lio fights back but Shelton ROCKS him! The fans rally as Shelton has Lio back in a corner. Lio fires forearms again, but MVP says that’s nothing! Shelton ROCKS Lio! Lio staggers to ropes, flounders into a corner, and Shelton whips him corner to corner. Shelton runs up, but Lio dodges! Shelton stops short of hitting buckles, and he whips Lio, but Lio uses that to hit RUSH HOUR! Shelton staggers from the stunner, and Lio whips Shelton. Shelton reverses but Lio goes up! But Shelton stops the rana!

Shelton throws Lio away, but Lio lands out to fire off fast hands! Lio ROCKS Shelton, runs, redirects, and redirects, to then bypass Shelton! Shelton tumbles out of the ring, Lio DIVES onto him! The fans fire up and Lio keeps moving, another DIVE! Shelton is sent into railing! The fans fire up with Lio and Lio hurries to bring Shelton up. Shelton puts Lio in the ring first, but Lio comes back to CUTTER! Both men are down but Lio goes to a corner! MVP is furious but Lio goes up to the top! FINAL HOUR, but Shelton moves! Lio rolls through, blocks a kick, but not the DRAGON WHIP! Shelton grins as he has Lio down again.

MVP says stop playing with your food, Shelton. Shelton hauls Lio up, clinches, and hits PAY- NO, Lio sunset flips! Shelton rolls through, stacks, but Lio rolls through tro roll up, and BASEMENT ENZIGIRI! Lio keeps moving, tilt-o-whirl, and around and around and around, DEJA VU DDT! Cover, TWO!! MVP is relieved but Lio grows frustrated. Lio says it is time! Lio goes up the corner, but Shelton is right up there in an instant! SUPER ARM-DRAG! MVP says easy W, now stop playing! Shelton stalks Lio, waits on Lio to stand, and then GERMAN SUPLEXES! Lio goes flying away! Shelton grins, and he stalks Lio again.

MVP taunts Lio at the ropes, and Shelton waistlocks! Lio fires elbows to fight the throw, but Shelton CLUBS him! And GERMAN SUPLEXES! Lio flops off his face, staggers to his feet, SUPERKICK from Shelton! Shelton drags Lio back up, whips him to ropes, then pops him up, PAYDIRT!! Lio sputters, flounders, but Shelton isn’t done! POWERSLAM!! Cover, Shelton wins!

Winner: Shelton Benjamin, by pinfall

MVP said Shelton was playing with his food, and he certainly was, like a cat with a mouse. Shelton wins big for his AEW debut, and MVP leaves his card with Lio. MVP then grabs a mic to say, “Lio Rush, in his youthful exuberance, opened up his mouth. My business partner and colleague, Shelton Benjamin, with his wisdom and world class skill, was kind enough to close it. Good try, Lio, good try. Now I could make some incredibly eloquent statement about what happens next, but I don’t think I can make a better statement than the one that was already made by Shelton Benjamin!” The fans do cheer that.

MVP says he will say this: Swerve, we know you’re watching. And MVP wants Swerve to know he should reconsider his position, because this is his future. The fans chant, “Swerve’s House!” but MVP says how can it be Swerve’s House, when Swerve’s house got burned down!? MVP believes that Swerve should finish the conversation they started at WrestleDream. Swerve VS The Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin! When and where will they look to handle this “business?”

Darby Allin speaks.

The Relentless One says, “Hey yo, what up? It’s Darby Allin. Tony Hawk couldn’t be here today because he’s playing Pro-Grandpa. Last time I was at this ramp, I had a broken-ass foot, and I couldn’t do anything, but we got a sick photo from it: Tony inverting my broken foot. And uh, speaking of this photo, signed 8-by-10s by myself and Tony Hawk go on sale, ShopAEW.com, all proceeds go to the Skatepark Project, which builds skateparks in underdeveloped areas. So if you wanna support the cause, buy an 8-by-10 signed by me and Tony today, ShopAEW.com. Rock ‘n’ roll.”

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland.

Renee is now with The Realest, as well as Prince Nana, and brings up the challenge issued by MVP & Shelton Benjamin. What is Swerve’s response? Swerve chuckles and says for the legends and superstars that those two are, their personalities sure are a couple mids. His minimum is their maximum. But yeah, he saw what Shelton did to Lio out there. Impressive. But that’s how he saw things going. If they wanna come at the big dog here in AEW, that is smart, it’s what Swerve would’ve done. So, the answer to the challenge is yes! Anywhere, any way, any how, if they make it happen, Swerve will be there.

Swerve knows Shelton broke collegiate records that still stand to this day. But how many of those records were bones? Swerve has records he can count, too. They’re coming at the most dangerous man in AEW, so don’t fail, because Swerve won’t. San Jose, if you’re feeling that, give him a whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The challenge has been accepted, when and where will it go down?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us to this very special press conference. With that in mind, please welcome… The Don Callis Family. The fans boo as Don Callis leads the way for Lance Archer, and… Brian Cage? The Machine became ROH World Television Champion at WrestleDream, but when did he join up with Callis? These heavies follow Callis to the ring, and there is already a podium waiting. Callis says, “Ladies and gentlemen, I have something important to say. With all the news about The Don Callis Family, I thought that we should have a press conference. And then I realized, there are no real journalists in pro-wrestling, so I might as well answer all the questions myself.”

The fans boo but Callis says a couple weeks ago, he conducted one of the greatest trades in all of sports when he acquired the Murderhawk Monster. And to his right, “a man who righted a wrong and brought that title back to the Don Callis Family.” And when Callis got a taste of those tag titles in New York at Grand Slam, Callis realized that he needs them! Callis will take them, and who better to do that than these two big men right here? But there’s more good news coming! The two men that have been trending all week, that we’ve all been talking about, ladies and gentlemen, welcome Kyle BAHGAWD Fletcher, and the NEW International Champion, Konosuke Takeshita!

The fans boo as the traitorous Aussie Arrow and the arrogant Alpha both walk out here to join the rest of the Don Callis Family. Callis continues by saying he and The Alpha will be TRUE International Champions, because they are gonna go to every corner of the globe to defend this title! Tell ’em, Take! Konosuke tells us in Japanese that he won! And now that he has this title, he will be going all around the world, but especially to his homeland of Japan. Then in English, he translates that, and says all wrestlers better listen up. “If you want this belt, COME ON, TAKE IT!!”

Callis says last but not least, he’d like to ask for all of us to show decorum, because it has been a very difficult weak for Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher has a lot on his mind, a lot of emotions, so please, be quiet and show him respect. The fans boo instead. Kyle goes to the podium, Callis hugs it out with him, and Kyle speaks. “All I have heard… is ‘Why, Kyle, why?’ But that’s the problem! Everyone wants to talk about WILL OSPREAY, when The Don Callis Family is having its biggest night in history! You people wanna know why I did what I did?! Too bad!” Callis says the people are too ignorant, they won’t shut up, so they won’t get an answer!

But all anyone needs to know is that this version of The Don Callis Family is about one thing, here’s your headline! “The Don Callis Family has never been stronger than today!” Callis hugs Kyle again, and this lineup is most certainly four of the most fearsome and impressive men in AEW. Will they be the most powerful faction in this or any other generation?

Backstage interview with Mariah May.

Renee is with the AEW Women’s World Champion and commends her incredible showing at WrestleDream. Mariah says, “Oh really? Then explain to me why everyone is praising Willow when she got her ass beat. Explain to me why I did a press conference, and all these ‘journalists’ couldn’t ask a single question, they were just drooling with their hands in their pants?! Explain to me why the woman I killed just got the cover of a magazine? Explain to me why Mina is still in Japan, why I still haven’t had my celebration, and why I am on top of the world and not a single woman can touch me?”

Mariah asks where the competition went. Britt Baker has strep throat, Thunder Rosa is in the UK, what does Christopher Daniels even do here? Bring Mariah someone! Someone from Japan, Mexico, HELLO?! Does anyone here wanna work? She will rip your head off! AEW is where the best wrestle? No. AEW is where the best are afraid of The Glamour. But then Anna Jay storms right in! The Star of the Show says if Mariah wants to go, let’s go! Daniels hurries in to stop this, but Mariah gets up in Anna’s face. Mariah says come on then and smooshes Anna’s cheeks. Anna takes a swing, Mariah ducks, so the SLAP hits Daniels!

Anna apologizes, but Mariah makes fun of her, while running away. Daniels says he understands, it’s fine. But will The Fallen Angel show Mariah just what his Interim EVP powers can do when he puts her up against The Queenslayer?

BREAKING NEWS for October 30th!

The first ever Fright Night Dynamite is going down in Cleveland, Ohio! And since Swerve accepted the challenge, MVP has made it official! Swerve VS Shelton will go down in The Land, will it be the most dangerous or the most excellent that proves they’re the best?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee is with The King of Flight and notes his unfortunate loss in the International Championship match on Saturday. Does he think he was a little too laser focused on Ospreay for that match? Ricochet chuckles and says no, credit where credit is due, because he does not remember ever being hit as hard by someone as he was by Takeshita. Ricochet feels that at the same time, everyone saw what happened. Despite what Callis says, Takeshita did not beat Ospreay and Ricochet on the same night, he just beat Ospreay. Ricochet has not been pinned since setting foot in AEW. And Ricochet came here with one goal in mind, and that is becoming champion.

Takeshita has screwed Ricochet out of that twice now. On the flipside, Callis says Takeshita is the Best in the World? Where Ricochet’s from, you don’t just call yourself that, you show it in the ring. Your matches dictate how good you are. To be the best, you don’t need people behind you, you don’t need lackeys doing your dirty work. Your matches dictate how good you are. So that said, Ricochet will be at Collision this Saturday. He puts out the challenge to Takeshita or anyone else, if they wanna see what he can do, show up on Collision, too. Ricochet will show you and the world just why he is #OuttaThisWorld.

Something is happening backstage!

Oh no, The BCC is at it again! They’re in another brawl with The Dark Order and Top Flight! Marina is SQUEEZING Darius’ head with her legs while Dante, Uno, Silver & Reynolds fight with Moxley and the others! Wait, Action has gone up onto a truss! Action SUPER CROSSBODIES them all down! But Pac gets up, aims with that briefcase, and he CLOBBERS Action with it! The brawling continues, but Marina KNEES Reynolds! Moxley and Silver throw hands, Claudio TOSSES Reynolds, and The BCC stands tall again. They hop in the truck again and drive off, all before Silver can catch them!

Uno rises up and he shouts at the camera! He knows BCC will see this, so if they wanna take Dark Order’s livelihoods away? BCC wants to take food off their plate? BCC wants to fight, and then claim they’re the bosses now? NO! Dark Order has been here since day one! Dark Order works for AEW! So whether it’s Saturday, Wednesday, in parking lots, if BCC wants to fight, Dark Order will give it to you! The camera then passes to Dante, and he tells BCC that if they wanna act like they own AEW, fine! So be it! But you’ll have to go through teams like Top Flight! Teams that are sick of this! Teams that actually wanna make a good change here!

Action says to strap on the gold extra tight! Because Top Flight is coming to snatch it all away on Collision! Trios are closing in, has The BCC put themselves in a no-win situation?

BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!

Private Party want to prove they’re still deserving of the AEW World Tag Team Championships, so they’re going to start the climb back up! But that leads them right into MXM Collection, who want to rebound after they and Rico Constantino were humiliated by The Acclaimed! Will Mansoor & Mason Madden strut right past Quen & Zay? Or will Private Party get their SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS by any means necessary?

PROGRAMMING NOTE for Saturday!

Collision back, still at its regular time, and La Faccion Ingobernable is in action as Rush & Beast Mortos take on The Outrunner! Will these two bulls stampede all over the Youngest Men Alive? Then, it’s a battle of former ROH World Television Champions as Kyle Fletcher finally has his rematch with Atlantis Jr. Will the Protostar prove he’s right where he belongs with The Don Callis Family?

Not only that, but Battle of the Belts is back! The twelfth edition of Battle of the Belts will feature a Title Eliminator between Mariah May and Anna Jay. Can The Star of the Show earn a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship? Or was her time in Japan still not enough to reach that level?

Jay White w/ The Bang Bang Gang VS Christian Cage w/ The Patriarchy!

The Switchblade settled the score with Hangman Page at WrestleDream, that was priority one. But now, here is priority two! Captain Charisma may be the self-proclaimed reigning, defending, undisputed next AEW World Champion, but he’s the reason The Bang Bang Gang no longer has the AEW World Trios Championships. Will White avenge Austin, Colten & Juice? Or will no one stop Christian’s ascension to the top of the mountain?

The bell rings and the fans rally up with Bullet Club Gold. White and Christian hear the fans chanting, “GUNS UP! GUNS UP!” White storms up but Christian bails out. The fans boo, but Christian regroups with Nick & Shayna Wayne. White stays patient, he’s no stranger to stall tactics. Christian returns and circles with White. The fans rally up, they tie up, and White pushes Christian back. Christian pulls hair to put White in a corner, but White returns the favor! The ref reprimands and counts, White lets go, and Christian CHOPS! White UPPERCUTS Christian down! The fans fire up and Juice tauntingly waves hi to Christian.

White drags Christian up, UPPERCUTS him down again, and then looms over him. White brings Christian up, bumps him off buckles, then stomps a mudhole. White fires hands, the ref counts, but White stops. White pushes Christian around, whips him hard into buckles, and the fans fire up as Christian falls back. White drags Christian around, steps through the legs, and then has the DEATHLOCK! White shifts around, grabs at Christian’s hair, but the ref reprimands. White lets go of the hair, and he bridges back to MUTA LOCK! Christian endures, fights around, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK!

The ref counts, White releases the hold, and Christian rolls to the apron. The ref and White argue about fishhooking and hair pulling, but Nick is being sneaky with a chair! At least he thinks he is, as Juice & Colten stop him! Juice takes the chair, threatens Nick, but that gets them caught by the ref! White defends the innocence of the Bang Bang Gang, but too late! The ref EJECTS them! The fans boo while Nick & Shayna laugh at Juice. Juice stomps the chair, kicks it away, and tells Nick off. The fans chant, “REF, YOU SUCK!” White wants to step outside, but the ref stops him. Nick dares White to do it, but Colten CLOBBERS Nick!

Colten drags Nick up to THROW him into railing! The fans cheer as Juice & Colten both drag “Christian’s son” away! Mother Shayna freaks out, but White goes back for Papa Christian, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

White finds Christian on the apron, but Christian trips him and drags him out! White ROCKS Christian first, kicks low, and then reels him in, APRON GOURD BUSTER! Christian sputters, White storms in, and White storms up in a corner. White stands Christian up, then climbs up to rain down fists! The ref counts, but Christian DUMPS White out to the floor! Christian storms out to bring White up, and he whips him into railing! Christian DUMPS White into the timekeeper’s area, then storms around the way. Christian sends White into more railing! Christian brings White back to ringside, then throws him into more railing!

Christian refreshes the count, tells San Jose to shove it, then drags White back up. Christian puts White in the ring, stalks him, and brings him up. Christian turns White for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!! White toughs it out, but Christian rains down fists! Christian CHOKES White, then stands over him. Christian flexes, fans give thumbs down, but White snatches Christian to a cradle! TWO! Christian escapes and ELBOWS White down! Christian paces around before he brings White up. Christian puts White on ropes, soaks up heat from the fans, then stands on White to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Christian steps off, and he CLUBS White on the back.

Christian brings White up but White shoves him away. White goes to ropes, goes to a corner, but Christian stomps him down. Christian throws down hands, Dynamite returns to single picture, and White kicks low! White fires hands in return, backs Christian down, but Christian DOUBLE CHOPS him down! Christian kneels on White to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Christian steps off, and Christian mocks the fans. The fans boo but Christian brings White around to snapmare. Christian fishhooks White, then shifts to a neck wrench. Christian leans on the hold, the fans rally up, and White fights around.

White fights with body shots and haymakers, but Christian knees low. Christian TOSSES White out, and the fans boo, but Christian goes out to fetch White. Christian brings White around the way, whips, but White reverses! Christian crashes into the steel steps and tumbles right over! Both men are down on the outside, so the ref starts a ring count. The count passes 5 of 10 before White drags himself up. White and Christian rise at 8, and both men slide in at 9! The fans cheer as the two men glare. They crawl to each other, and they start throwing hands! The fans rally behind White, and he ROCKS Christian!

White ROCKS Christian, but Christian kicks low! Christian runs, into a BACKDROP! The fans fire up with Christian, White storms up on him in a corner, and pokes him in the eyes! White puts Christian’s turtleneck up over his face, and then climbs onto the corner. White rains down fists, and he goes all the way to TEN! Then he adds another five! The fans fire up as White CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS again! Christian gets free of his turtleneck, but White whips him. Christian reverses but White slides to a stop! White slips around, wrench and DDT! Cover, TWO!! Christian survives and White is a bit surprised.

The fans rally as White watches Christian. White waistlocks, deadlifts, but Christian fights with elbows. White still holds on, so Christian fires more! Christian runs to ropes to HOTSHOT White away! Christian then goes to the apron, drags White out to join him, and dragon sleepers, REVERSE DDT on the apron! Christian slides back in, soaks up the heat, and he stands White back up. Christian RAMS White into buckles, then goes up the corner. White slowly rises, Christian brings White in, TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO!! White survives and Christian grows frustrated. Christian goes back to a corner, and he wants to go Rated R!

White rises, but then who is that?! Kip Sabian distracts Christian! Christian still runs up on White, but White sends him into buckles! Kip slips away, but wait, is that Hangman Page!? He lurks, Christian goes up, FLYING SUNSET! But White sits on it! TWO!! Christian gets free, but White has the legs! White puts Christian under ropes, to ROPE GUILLOTINE! Christian sputters, White puts him up and bumps him off buckles! And again, and again, and again! White takes a swing but Christian ducks it to HOTSHOT White! Christian huffs ‘n’ puffs into the ring, runs up, but White clinches! URENAGE!! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up while both men are down! White rises, says GUNS UP, and he clinches again! BLADE- NO, Christian CLAWS the eyes! Chicken wings, for KILLSWITCH!! Cover, TWO?!?! White survives and no one can believe it! Christian is frustrated but he starts slapping White around. White SLAPS back! White then clinches, FLATLINER, and a shift around. Christian grabs at the ropes, White waistlocks, and the rf counts. Christian fires elbows, but White gets under to SAIDO!! Christian flounders away, White runs up to UPPERCUT! And CORNER HALF HATCH! Christian sputters and White roars!

The fans fire up as White puts Christian up top! White climbs up after him, but Christian fires body shots! Christian SHOVES White down, adjusts position, and he DIVING HEADBUTTS! Cover, TWO!! White survives but Christian loads up in the corner again. Christian loads up, but Kip tries another distraction! The ref stops Mr. Superbad, and Christian runs up, only to get caught again! But now Hangman loads up! BUCKSHOT on White!! The Blackhat gets away with it, Christian takes the cover! Christian wins!!

Winner: Christian Cage, by pinfall

Kip tried to screw Christian, but he only helped Hangman screw White! Captain Charisma moves on towards the world championship, but will he be able to cash in that contract with Jon Moxley holding onto the belt? As for White, he is actually laughing about this? Is he already plotting the revenge he’ll get on Hangman?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here as follow-up to WrestleDream with some intriguing developments in this Blackpool Combat Club story. They most certainly came outta nowhere during the Six Man Tag, though that was good continuity of Yuta going after Orange Cassidy. The Elite not caring was perhaps the most interesting part, given that they were only just recently talking about being the force for the “greater good” in AEW. Though maybe that was more Jack Perry than the rest. The Elite did have a good promo bashing Kenny Omega for his birthday, it definitely keeps us thinking Omega will be coming back for revenge on all of them in the future.

But back to the BCC, them wreaking havoc has compelled other trios to step up, and some to even form. Garcia & Private Party wanting after The Elite is good stuff, as yet another Six Man Tag win over The Bucks could compel yet another title match. Though, I still wish Private Party had just won at WrestleDream. Stokely had a good promo with Private Party, but I also wish he’d just bring out a team he’s managing to go after Private Party. BCC brawling with Dark Order and Top Flight in the ring and backstage was all good stuff, and I feel like we should get a big Trios Championship match for Battle of the Belts this Saturday, even if it is rather sudden.

Side note: Moxley bringing up the giant roster AEW has amassed, I feel like this is the 100th time AEW does a work shoot promo to reference that. Ospreay did it in a joking manner not too long ago, and it makes me think Tony Khan has made the roster so bloated just so he can write story angles around it. Even if he didn’t mean for it to go this way, it’s gone this way, and it’s rather sad. They should’ve just done a brand split akin to what WWE has right as Collision first got going. And even though CM Punk didn’t stick around much longer after Collision got started, they could’ve still done it to help give more time to more people.

I was also hoping that the briefcase would be opened to reveal some new look for the AEW World Championship that makes it more Moxley themed. I still can’t be sure if there’s going to be a “benefactor” behind Moxley’s behavior or not, because how else is he claiming he and the BCC run things now? Something else a bit sudden is Mark Briscoe and Chris Jericho having a rematch for the ROH World Championship. I really hope they didn’t give Mark the win on PPV just so Jericho can win on television. Ladder War is going to be awesome all the same, but after FTR dealt with Bill & Keith, I hope they have Mark’s back so Mark can retain the title.

I appreciated them upgrading Mone VS Aminata to a TBS Championship match, that helped make the match feel important. Mone still won, of course, but they didn’t even bring out Kris Statlander to challenge Kamille to a match. Good promo from Mariah and Anna to set up their match for Saturday, I hope Anna at least wins the Eliminator so they can put that title match on like Fright Night Dynamite or something. Speaking of Fright Night, Swerve VS Shelton will be awesome. Shelton VS Lio was a great match and a great win for Shelton, and while the phrase “Hurt Syndicate” is clear on Shelton’s trunks, I hope MVP introduces that name so we can actually call them that.

And in which case, I wonder if they kept the Acclaimed together through WrestleDream so that the break-up could help enhance The Hurt Syndicate. While Billy was out of the room, and while Bowens outright rejected the offer, Caster seemed to linger. He wants to be the Best Wrestler Alive, which cuts out Bowens because otherwise he’d be saying they’re the Best Tag Team Alive, or Best Wrestlers Alive, plural. Caster could turn on Bowens, join up with Hurt Syndicate, and either be a teammate with Shelton or go for singles gold. And once Bobby Lashley shows up, then things will really take off for the faction.

Great promo segment with Cole and MJF to put things in perspective now that they’ve both turned. MJF being the Heel again does complicate where this feud left off, but professional wrestling is notorious for this kind of stuff. The motivations of why Cole became “The Devil of AEW” no longer matter, since MJF went back to his old ways. We just have to move on from that and enjoy what this take on the story will give us. For one, you can bet MJF will constantly be a distraction during Cole’s matches, maybe even ambush him here and there, until somehow, someway, Cole catches him and gets to throw hands.

Very good press conference promo from The Don Callis Family. A little surprised and disappointed they just put Brian Cage with The Don Callis Family without anything anywhere. Makes me wonder what the “Cage of Agony” is going to do if Cage isn’t with them now. Wouldn’t mind if Gates of Agony became Stokely’s team but that almost seems like a downgrade from when they had Prince Nana. Anyway, Cage & Archer definitely make for a great duo, but then I guess that means The Righteous are out of luck in feuding with The House of Black… Tony Khan really doesn’t care about his lower-level faction feuds, does he?

But in the end, of course we get little to nothing from Fletcher, but it feels like the usual thing of jealousy, envy, feeling betrayed, and Ospreay not wanting to resort to the screwdriver against The Bucks being what cost them the tag titles. Ricochet had a good promo to put out the open challenge, I wouldn’t be surprised if Don Callis sent Archer out there to try and crush Ricochet before Ricochet can challenge for the International Championship again. And then great main event with White VS Christian. The story was there, good interactions from Juice & Colten with Nick, but I feel like Kip and Hangman botched their spot. Kip was to distract, Hangman was to attack, but something wasn’t timed right so they kinda had to stretch the match and set the moment up again.

Christian winning for it was still a good move, because of course Hangman wasn’t done with White. Hangman and White will continue to feud while Christian and his Patriarchy work on a game plan for cashing in the contract. Unfortunate timing for Luchasaurus to be out with pneumonia, and we all wish him a speedy recovery. That said, Christian only has Nick Wayne as his backup, that’s not enough for fighting The BCC when The BCC just beat NINE people down with ease. Christian will really have to be the most opportunistic and conniving he’s ever been if he even wants to come close to taking that title off Moxley. Because I don’t think AEW does their version of an MITB contract only for it to fail the very first time.

My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and  the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!

Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!

Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. But Cage ELBOWS Knight, whips, but Knight jumps up! SATELLITE- NO, Cage goes for ropes! Knight HOTSHOTS Cage for it! Then Knight springboards back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! A standing count starts while the fans rally up. Cage goes to a corner but he runs up on Knight. Bailey brings mics into the ring to say, “Congratulations to The Jet on a hell of a win!” Knight says much appreciated. But like he said, they’re red hot right now! And Brian Cage, welcome back! Cage took Knight to his limits, but The Jet is still standing as TNT Champion. But Knight can’t get over how last week, he couldn’t get the job done becoming #Jet2Belts. Bailey says forget last week. AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!

This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! “Jungle” Jack Perry speaks.

“Mark Davis… I’m sure you feel some congratulations are in order. But you’re not champion to me. You see, you’re built like an Australia grizzly bear, yet you still needed somebody to hit me in the back with a golf club for you to beat me. At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

“And if you don’t like that, F YOU!” Jungle Jack is sharpening his knife, but will his edge be razor sharp when it comes time to cut down Dunkzilla?

The fans fire up as Ace is ready to deal the winning hand! But then Ospreay pops Ace up, and gets him in position! STYLES- NO, Ace pops free!

Ace trips Ospreay, steps through, ties up the legs, TRAILER HITCH BRIDGE! TWO!! Ospreay escapes, but Ace KNEES, KICKS, and fireman’s carries! Ace tucks Ospreay to then swing him out, AIR RAID FLATLINER! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and Ace is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” as Ace stalks Ospreay to a corner. Ace ROCKS Ospreay again and again, then hoists Ospreay up top. But Ospreay fires shots in return! Ace ROCKS Ospreay, goes up, but Ospreay pushes on Ace’s arm! Then he HOTSHOTS the arm as he drops down, and he tucks Ace in! CHEEKY NAN- NO, Ace dodges! Ace RAMS low, springboards in and FLYING- LIGER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Ace survives again! Ospreay roars, the fans are with him, and he ROCKS Ace! Ace ROCKS Ospreay, and repeat! They go back and forth, then Ospreay KICKS! Ace fires another forearm, Ospreay kicks, then Ace CHOPS! They go back and forth again, but Ace CHOPS and ROKCS, until Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks! CHOP! Ace HEEL KICKS! Ace shakes out the bad arm, runs up, but Ospreay dodges to then ROLLING ELBOW! And HOOK KICK! Then the underhooks for the STORM- NO, Ace pops free, then goes to a corner. Ospreay runs up but Ace goes sideways! Ospreay hits buckles, Ace hits the FLYING CHUCK!

The fans fire up as Ace shuffles the deck, and runs up for the0 NO, Ospreay BACKDROPS Ace, but Ace lands on his feet! HIDDEN BLADE!! Ospreay isn’t done with just one, he aims from the corner and… Ace flops over! The fans boo but Ospreay shows no mercy. He just runs up to PENALTY KICK the bad arm! Then a FLYING ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!

With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?

The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!

Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!

The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!

Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!

Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.

Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!

Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!

Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!

Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification

The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!

The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?

AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!

They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?

The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!

Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.

Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.

Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!

The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10

AEW National Championship: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis w/ Don Callis!

The Jurassic Express National Tour arrives in SoFi Center Arena, the same place the TGL takes place! But will Tarzan Life win this rematch from Dynasty? Or can Dunkzilla make good on this mulligan?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if the Don Callis Family adds more gold to the collection!

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
