Jon Moxley speaks.

“The caterpillar doesn’t just get to become a butterfly, no. Those wings ain’t free. The caterpillar eats itself. The caterpillar is preparing by instinct, by nature, to cannibalize itself. Imagine what we could become at AEW if we all had that same instinct. Tonight, AEW Dynamite, just a little piece of someone will be destroyed forever. But it’s for their own good. And for the greater good. Always for the greater good.” From the images shown, it could be Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Daniel Garcia, Private Party, Top Flight or The Dark Order. Moxley hops into the back of the truck and it takes off into the desert. Who will the Blackpool Combat Club tear down to build their AEW?

Daniel Garcia, Mark Briscoe, and more wait in the parking lot!

Speaking of those featured in Moxley’s message, they and a few others are all waiting for BCC to arrive. Will Moxley’s maniac crew learn what happens when they try to take what doesn’t belong to them?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

To begin Dynamite in Salt Lake City, let’s welcome in Hangman Adam Page. The fans are torn as the Blackhat Cowboy makes his entrance. Hangman steps into the ring and Schiavone just wants a moment of his time. Hangman loses to Jay White at WrestleDream, only to cost White his match against Christian Cage last week. Where is Hangman’s mind right now? Hangman snatches the mic from Schiavone! The fans boo but Hangman says last week, he took White’s head off! And before that, Hangman nearly took Juice Robinson’s life. And a few weeks ago, Hangman knocked out Austin Gunn so bad that he probably doesn’t remember his brother’s name!

But wait! COLTEN GUNN ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! The brother Hangman didn’t care to mention is now the one raining down hands! The fans fire up but Hangman slips free. Colten pursues out of the ring, to LARIAT Hangman down! The fans fire up with Colten and he runs up again, to LEAP! Hangman dodges and Colten crashes into the timekeeper’s area! Hangman goes around to get Colten, throw him into the side of the ring, then drags him up again. Hangman puts Colten in the ring, stomps him around, and he takes off his belt! Hangman CHOKES Colten, but here comes The Switchblade AND Juice Robinson!

The fans fire up as The Bang Bang Gang save their boy, and then they flank the ring. Hangman swings on White, swings on Juice, but White TACKLES Hangman! The fans fire up but Hangman gets free and retreats! Hangman hobbles a bit, but White asks where he’s going! White’s here where Hangman wants! Hangman can hobble away but he can’t hide! Hangman can’t hide that leg! White knows how much it hurts Hangman that he always has Hangman’s number! White’s 4-1, and if not for Hangman helping Christian, it would be a perfect 5-0!

Hangman can try to cover up his shortcomings with all the blood, barbed wire and fire he wants, it won’t change the fact that when the bell rings, he’ll never be able to measure up to the Switchblade! They haven’t seen the last of each other, and that’s perfect! Go ice up, Hangman, and they’ll see each other real soon. And if you ain’t down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! GUNS UP! Hangman hobbles away to metaphorically lick his wounds, when and where will he Breath with the Switchblade?

Sammy Guevara speaks.

“I’ve been here for the past five years. I take a lot of pride in being called an AEW Original. Because of this place, my life changed for the better. So the best way I know how to repay AEW is to make sure every single time I get in that ring, I give you a moment you’ve never seen before. For me, it’s always the same. But the way I get there needs to be different. The way I realize my destiny is by going against the best. And one of the best just had a hell of a debut last Wednesday on Dynamite.”

MVP & Shelton Benjamin speak.

Montel Vontavious Porter says, “There is always an agenda. There’s no ulterior motive, there is a motive.” The Standard of Excellence says, “We’re not here to make friends. We’re not here to shake hands. We’re here to crack heads, we’re here to make money, we’re all about that business.” MVP says they are merchants of misery. Shelton is exceptionally gifted at hurting people. And when you’re good at something, you never do it for free. So what is the agenda? They’ll take over. As they say, trust the process. They’ve done it before, and they’ll do it again. The Spanish God is about to have the match of his career, will he hold his own with one of the best ever?

Sammy Guevara VS Shelton Benjamin w/ MVP!

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two stare down. Shelton and Benjamin circle, tie up, and Shelton knees low! Shelton has the Gotch hold, and he TOSSES Sammy with the single leg suplex! Sammy flounders to ropes, Shelton storms over, and Shelton brings Sammy up. Shelton whips corner to corner hard and Sammy falls to the mat. Shelton storms up on Sammy again, puts him in a corner, but Sammy CHOPS! And fires a forearm, then CHOPS again! Sammy fires more shots but Shelton DECKS him! Shelton fires knees into Sammy, then snap suplexes! MVP says that’s what he’s talking about!

The fans rally but Shelton drags Sammy up again, for a stalling suplex! But Sammy slips to waistlock. Shelton elbows Sammy, runs, but Sammy hurdles, backflips, and DROPKICKS! Sammy kips up so smooth and the fans fire up! Sammy somersaults but Shelton stops the cutter. Shelton shoves Sammy to the apron, but Sammy comes back to GAMANGIRI! Shelton snarls, runs up, but Sammy DUMPS him out! The fans fire up as Sammy mule kicks! Sammy then ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Shelton and the fans are thunderous for Sammy! MVP is upset but Sammy hurries into the ring. Sammy builds speed, but MVP stands in the way!

The fans boo but Sammy just builds speed again. Sammy DIVES, but into Shelton’s hands! OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY onto the ramp! MVP says that’s what he likes, that’s how they get down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Shelton looms over Sammy, drags him up, to then scoop and SLAM him back on the ramp! Shelton leaves Sammy behind for the count to handle, and MVP talks a bit of smack on Sammy. Sammy crawls his way to the ring, drags himself up, but Shelton BOOTS him back down! The ref reprimands, but the count continues. Sammy crawls, Shelton storms out after Sammy, and Shelton throws knees into Sammy! Shelton pushes Sammy against railing, then THROWS him at the apron! And THROWS him back at railing! And repeat! And repeat! Sammy flops over, Shelton rolls in and lets the ref check on Sammy.

Sammy is somehow still in this so MVP talks more smack. Sammy drags himself into the ring, but Shelton is right on him! Shelton rains down forearms in the corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Shelton stomps Sammy, drags him up, and then whips him to ropes. Shelton FLAPJACKS Sammy right as Dynamite returns to single picture! The fans fire up and rally while Shelton paces around Sammy. Shelton watches Sammy rise up, to then GERMAN SUPLEX! Shelton watches Sammy flounder around, and Sammy grabs at Shelton. The fans rally up while Shelton drags Sammy to his feet. Shelton waistlocks for another GERMAN SUPLEX!

Sammy writhes and Shelton grins. Shelton storms over to Sammy, looms over him, then brings Sammy up. Shelton clinches but Sammy rolls him up! TWO!! Shelton escapes, Sammy SUPERKICKS! And SUPERKICKS! The fans fire up as Shelton ends up on the apron, and Sammy SUPERKICKS again! Sammy runs to JUMP KNEE Shelton to the floor! Sammy fires up and the fans rally again as he builds speed! Sammy FOSBURY FLOPS! Down goes Shelton and the fans fire up again! Sammy drags Shelton up, but Shelton pushes free. Shelton rolls into the ring, but Sammy goes to the apron. Sammy springboards, but into a waistlock!

Shelton GERMAN SUPLEXES, but Sammy lands out! The fans fire up and Sammy dodges Shelton to run, POP-UP CUTTER!! Both men are down and MVP shouts to stay on his man! Sammy crawls to a cover, ONE?!? Sammy is shocked, but MVP says this is what happens when you play with your food. Stop playing, end this! Sammy RAMS into Shelton first! Sammy ENZIGIRIS Shelton and Shelton staggers away. Sammy aims, springboards, but into a SUPERKICK! Shelton grins as he lines up another shot, and SUPERKICKS again! Sammy falls right over, but Shelton drags him up. Shelton puts Sammy in a corner to go corner to corner, for the STEP-UP KNEE!

Shelton drags Sammy into the clinch, for the EXPLODER POWERSLAM! Cover, Shelton wins!

Winner: Shelton Benjamin, by pinfall

MVP raises Shelton’s hand, and the Hurt Syndicate is rolling into Fright Night Dynamite! Will they teach Swerve Strickland what happens when you refuse to do business with them?

Backstage interview with Mariah May.

Renee Paquette is waiting to talk with the AEW Women’s World Champion after her loss to Anna Jay at last Saturday’s Battle of the Belts. Mariah storms out of her locker room as Renee adds Anna’s win earned her a future title opportunity. Renee now notes that it seems Mariah is already leaving. Mariah says no, she’s not leaving yet. Then what is she doing with her luggage? Oh, this isn’t Mariah’s. Mariah TOSSES Anna’s luggage! Mariah says Anna does NOT belong in the ring with her, and she does not belong in the same locker room. But here comes Anna! Anna and Mariah pull each other’s hair, but Christopher Daniels rushes in!

Daniels says to stop it, let go, and the hair pulling stops. Anna and Mariah dare the other to make a move, but Daniels reminds Anna she has her championship match, just wait until then. But then how long will Anna have to wait to tear into The Glamour?

Tony Schiavone is back in the ring.

And he says that last Saturday, we heard Kyle Fletcher has something he wants to say here tonight. With that in mind, welcome Kyle Fletcher and… Don Callis. The fans boo as the Protostar and the scumbag he chose over Will Ospreay make their way out here. Callis takes the mic from Schiavone, and he says, “Kyle Fletcher has something important to say!” The fans boo as Callis hands the mic over to Kyle. Kyle says, “You people can boo me all you want. The only person I am here to talk to is Will Ospreay. It has been 11 days, Will, since I cost you your International Championship.

“It has been 11 days that you have been laid up in a hospital bed, with numbness tingling up and down your arms because of that herniated disk you don’t tell anyone about. And that whole time, just like these people, you have been wondering, ‘Why, Kyle, why?’ And oh boy does that make me happy. What these idiots don’t realize is that they are just as much to blame for this as you are. See, when I got to AEW, they said I was the next big thing. They said that I had the brightest future in professional wrestling.” The fans chant for Ospreay, but Kyle smirks. Kyle continues by saying, “And then you got here, Will.”

Instead of Kyle being “The Next Big Thing,” he became “The Next Will Ospreay.” They all started saying how Kyle looked like Will, how he wrestled like Will, and these “inbred Americans” even thought Kyle sounded like Will. Kyle took every one of those comparisons as an insult. Because in reality, Kyle is bigger, stronger, faster and better than Will in every single way! The fans boo more but Kyle says maybe there was a time he would’ve liked those comparisons. Back in 2021, when he joined The United Empire, Ospreay was the Kingpin! The Assassin! He had a killer instinct! The fans chant, “Wrap It Up! Wrap It Up!”

Kyle says Callis bought Kyle all the TV time he wants to get this off his chest, so you WILL listen to him! But do you wanna know why Kyle left NJPW to join AEW? Let’s talk about what happened between Ospreay and Okada. Okada brought Ospreay into NJPW when Ospreay was young and full of potential. Okada became Ospreay’s mentor and brother, and what’d Ospreay do? Ospreay stabbed Okada in the back. What about Ospreay and Kenny Omega? Omega left NJPW, Ospreay stepped up as the biggest foreigner in NJPW. But instead of being praised for that, they said Ospreay would never fill Omega’s shoes.

So what’d Ospreay do? He used that same screwdriver that Kyle did, and Ospreay stabbed Omega in the head! Then Ospreay dropped Omega on his neck with the Tiger Driver. Starting to notice a pattern yet? The reason Kyle left is because he saw the writing on the walls. Kyle knew what he had to do to get out of Ospreay’s shadow, because that is the lesson Ospreay taught Kyle. That is when Callis helped Kyle realized: Ospreay never wanted Kyle to realize his full potential; Ospreay never wanted Kyle to surpass Ospreay. Because that is the kind of person Ospreay is! Ospreay is selfish!

Kyle will give Ospreay one chance to save face with the people. The fans have moved on to chanting STFU, but Kyle ignores them. Kyle says Ospreay will face Kyle in this ring next week on Fright Night, ignoring the doctor’s orders, ignoring his wife Alex and son Harry begging him to rest up, to prove to the people that Ospreay gives a damn. But one thing is for sure, Kyle is sending Ospreay back to the hospital for a LOT longer than 11 days! Kyle will bury Ospreay in the mat with Tiger Driver after Tiger Driver until Ospreay’s neck withers away to dust! Kyle will stand atop Ospreay’s carcass as the one and only Protostar!

The fans boo more, but Kyle says one thing is very apparent. If Kyle wants to stand atop AEW and take it to heights it has never seen before, Kyle can be nothing like Ospreay. Kyle takes off his shirt, and Callis has an electric razor? Kyle says from this day forward, he is nothing like Ospreay. Kyle SHAVES HIS HEAD, no more blonde hair, and he keeps shouting, “I am nothing like you! I am nothing like you! I am nothing like you! I… am NOTHING… like you!” The symbolism aside, will the Aussie Arrow shoot down the Aerial Assassin and take his place in history?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee is with the One & Only and notes that he is enjoying his newfound freedom. Let’s talk what happened last week at the Maple Leaf Pro-Wrestling event. Ricochet says he is a man of his word. He told everyone that he would be willing to show up anywhere to get his hands on Konosuke Takeshita, and that is what he did. But it is funny, it plays in his mind, Takeshita never pinned Ricochet to become champion, Takeshita has screwed Ricochet out of that title twice now. So here Ricochet is, calling Takeshita or anyone else out because he is in a bad mood. Please, show up this Friday for Rampage to find out why he’s not from here, he is Outta This World!

But remember: Payback’s a b*tch. In steps MVP and says yes it is, but that’s not why he and Shelton are here. They have a tumultuous history but hey, new company, new chapter, new beginnings. Let’s start off right. MVP hands Ricochet his card. MVP also notes the very nice suit. MVP & Shelton head out, will Ricochet join up if it means a fair fight with The Don Callis Family? Or will he still prefer to be The One & Only?

Brian Cage & Lance Archer VS The Pillars of Destiny!

From one Don Callis Family member to another, The Machine & The Murderhawk Monster dominated in their debut last Saturday, and they look to do the same on Dynamite! If #EverybodyDies will there be no answer to #WhoBetta? Or can Hunter Grey & Paul Titan survive?

The teams sort out, Archer starts against “Parviz” Paul Titan. The bell rings, Archer kicks and CLUBS away on Parviz to then bump him off buckles. Archer fires off forearms, then laughs as the ref counts. Archer CHOPS Parviz, then runs corner to corner. Parviz dodges, tags Grey, and Grey LARIATS! But Cage steps in as Grey fires himself up, and then he SPINEBUSTERS Grey down! Parviz roars, runs in, but into a waistlock! BOOT GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! The fans fire up as Cage reels Parviz in. Archer LARIATS Grey up and out, and Cage brings Parviz up! Archer adds on, CHOKE SLAM BOMB COMBO!! Cover, Don Callis Family wins!

Winners: Brian Cage & Lance Archer, by pinfall

Callis joins his #MurderMachines in the ring, and he hugs it out with his Family. Will nothing stop them from taking over AEW?

Daniel Garcia and the anti-BCC alliance are still waiting.

It’s been about 45 minutes since the show began, but still no Moxley and crew. But wait, Chuck Taylor comes out, he’s officially part of AEW staff. He tells Kyle O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy that Mark Briscoe’s match is up next. The Conglomeration has to head out to back him up, but Chuckie T does wanna talk to his old Best Friend. Chuck has known Cassidy 20 years, used to be roommates since they couldn’t make it on their own. Then AEW came along. Chuck knows Cassidy knows what’s going on and he knows Cassidy sees what BCC is doing. And even with all these guys, God bless ’em, they might not be able to beat BCC. None of ’em ever have.

Except for Cassidy. And it is about time to step up, Cassidy. Okay? Chuck escorts Cassidy into the arena, but will Freshly Squeezed be ready to get serious? Like, really serious?

ROH World Championship Ladder War: Mark Briscoe VS Chris Jericho!

The Sussex County Chicken cooked The Learning Tree at WrestleDream, but if there’s one thing about Jericho, he is persistent. He ruffled Mark’s feathers all over again to get this rematch, but he’ll have to go above and beyond if he wants to win it. Will The Ocho rise up to become The Nueve? Or is this the end of the Jericho Vortex once and for all?

Introductions are- Never mind, Mark CHUCKS a ladder at Jericho already! The bell rings, Jericho grabs the ladder, but Mark SPEARS Jericho! Mark rains down fists, the fans fire up, and Mark drags Jericho up to UPPERCUT! Jericho goes to the apron, but Mark runs him side to side to bump off buckles! And then to the other side! And back the other way! Mark runs to BLAST Jericho off the apron, and Jericho falls down through tables! The fans are thunderous and Mark throws off the headband. Free souvenir there, and Mark thinks about the ladder. Mark says no, not yet. Mark goes out to drag Jericho from the wreckage!

Mark brings Jericho around to CHOP! Mark headlocks, throws hands, then ROCKS Jericho! Mark CLAWS at Jericho’s face and the fans fire up! Mark lets off to CHOP Jericho again! Mark then brings a ladder over, props it up against the railing, and goes for Jericho. Mark brings Jericho over, suplex, but Jericho fights it! Jericho suplexes Mark to the floor! They narrowly miss the steel steps but Jericho stands Mark up. Jericho SMACKS Mark off the steps, but Mark fires back! They brawl, Jericho has the edge, and then he uses a piece of broken table to SMACK Mark! The fans boo but Jericho goes looking under the ring.

Mark huffs ‘n’ puffs while Jericho brings a new ladder into play. Jericho puts the ladder against the apron, but Jericho grabs it to SEESAW it into Jericho’s face! Mark’s done that before, and he brings Jericho to the apron! The fans fire up as Mark lifts, but Jericho fights the driver! Jericho fires hands, kicks a leg, then brings Mark up. But Mark fires hands in return! Mark DECKS Jericho, then hops down to put him against the ladder. Mark rains down fists, then goes into the ring. The fans are thunderous as Mark builds speed, and DIVES! But only onto ladder!! Jericho avoids disaster but Mark does not, and fans lose their minds!

Jericho puts a ladder in the ring, sets it up, and he climbs! The fans boo, but Mark rises up! Mark hurries in to drag Jericho down! Mark fires hands on Jericho, then whips, but Jericho reverses! Mark is sent right into the ladder! The ladder falls over, but Jericho picks it up, to RAM Mark down!! The fans boo but Mark is certainly busted open from that. Jericho soaks up the heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Jericho brings the ladder over, sets it down, and opens it up. Jericho pretends he can’t hear the fans as he stalks Mark. Jericho drags Mark from the ropes, throws hands into the bloody forehead, and then puts Mark in the ladder. Jericho SLAMS the ladder shut on Mark! And then again! Jericho paces while Mark crawls free of the ladder. Jericho puts the ladder on top of a corner, then he stalks Mark to a corner. Jericho drags Mark up to CHOP! Jericho waves hi to the picture of Jay Briscoe on Mark’s shirt, then CHOPS again! Jericho fires hands, but Mark fires back! Mark backs Jericho down and the fans rally up!

Mark fires a flurry, then powers up, only for Jericho to send him into the ladder! Another headshot and Mark falls back! The ladder falls, so Jericho storms out of the ring to fetch it. Jericho even brings in a very tall ladder. Jericho steps into the ring, soaks up some heat, and goes back to a very bloody Mark. Jericho slaps Mark around, then stands him up to ROCK with a forearm! Mark just fires up! Mark fires a forearm, Jericho fires back! Mark fires a haymaker, so Jericho fires back! Mark UPERCUTS, then fires a flurry of shots! Mark fires up again, runs up, but Jericho DUMPS Mark out! Jericho hurries to stand his tallest ladder up!

Mark sputters behind the crimson mask as he rises up. Dynamite returns to single picture as Jericho puts his shorter ladder aside. Jericho climbs, but Mark hurries in! Mark CLUBS Jericho on the back, CLUBS him again, then fireman’s carries! DEEATH VALLEY DRIVER through the corner ladder!! The fans lose their minds again as Mark and Jericho writhe! Mark flounders out of the ring, and he finds himself a ladder! Mark slides that into the ring, stomps Jericho, and moves the taller ladder aside. Mark puts the short ladder on top of Jericho, and he goes up a corner! The fans fire up, but Jericho stands to JAM Mark up!

Jericho SMACKS Mark with the ladder! Jericho climbs the ladder while it leans against the corner. Jericho drags Mark up, but Mark fires hands! Mark ROCKS Jericho, and then pushes the ladder over! Jericho falls back, ladder on top! Mark SWANTON BOMBS Jericho!! Jericho lessened the damage by getting the ladder out of the way, but the fans fire up for Mark. Mark goes out, and he brings a table to the ring! But Jericho climbs! Mark hurries to climb the other side, and he fires hands! Jericho and Mark brawl up at the very top! The fans fire up as Mark grabs for the belt! But Jericho fires hands! Jericho CLAWS Mark’s face!

Jericho SMACKS Mark off the top, and Mark falls! Jericho grabs for the belt as it swings around, but Mark hurries to tip the ladder! Jericho falls and HOTSHOTS off ropes! The fans are thunderous while both men are down! “This is Awesome!” as Mark pounds the mat. Mark grabs that table, but Jericho fires hands! Mark and Jericho brawl some more, the fans strongly behind Mark. Jericho gets the edge with forearm after forearm, then he runs, but Mark THROWS him into a ladder! And then Mark SHOVES the ladder over to jam Jericho up again! Mark sees the title and he fires up! But Mark still sets up his table?

Mark did say this was personal now, and he stands the tall ladder up near the table. Mark drags Jericho up, puts him on the table, and throws down fists! Mark hurries up top and the fans fire up already! Mark gets Salt Lake City even hotter, but here comes Bryan Keith! The Bad Apple climbs up the ladder, but Mark dares him to try. But here comes Rocky Romero! Kendo stick SMACK for Keith! Keith falls off the ladder, and Azucar chases him away with more kendo stick SMACKS! Mark goes to the very top, to SUPER DUPER FROGGY-BOW~! The fans are absolutely erupting, but Mark says that’s not all!

Mark drags Jericho up, JAY DRILLER!! Mark pushes Jericho away, adjusts the ladder, and he climbs! But of course, here comes BIG BILL! Bill CLUBS Mark, choke grips, and carries him over to SKYSCRAPER CHOKE SLAM through tables!!! The fans boo as Jericho is saved by his Redwood. Bill shouts to Jericho to get up! Jericho barely sputters, so Bill hauls him up to a fireman’s carry! Bill literally carries Jericho to victory! Jericho grabs at the belt, brings it down, and WINS!

Winner: Chris Jericho (NEW ROH World Champion)

The Nueve is real, but wait! TOMOHIRO ISHII is here! Rocky also backs Ishii up, because here comes payback! Will it be The Stone Pitbull that uproots The Learning Tree once and for all?

What does it mean to be an elite athlete?

Is it being bigger, stronger, and faster than your opponent? Is it how you outwork and out hustle the competition? Is it getting up every time you’re knocked down, and hitting back twice as hard? Is it defeating every opponent that stands in your way? It’s all these things and more. Kris Statlander VS Kamille will clash next Wednesday, in Cleveland, Ohio, for Fright Night Dynamite, looking to prove who is the scariest woman in AEW.

Adam Cole is here!

Salt Lake City fires up as the Panama City Playboy makes his way to the ring. The fans join in for “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE BAYBAY!” Cole grabs the mic to ask whose ready for- “ADAM! ADAAAM!” Roderick Strong shouts at his friend and says hey, he knows Cole needed to get stuff off his chest. But we all know who MJF really is: He’s an egomaniac, a manipulator, and a user. He used the Adam Cole brand to get something MJF has never had his entire career, and that is for the fans to really care about him. MJF never checked on Cole once when he was injured. But guess who did: The Undisputed Kingdom did.

Roddy, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven all step into the ring and Bennett says we all know in MJF’s egotistical mind, MJF thinks this whole group was formed because of him. But no, this group, this friendship, has always been way bigger than that. They started this together, so they’ll finish this together. Taven says a year ago, when Cole told them about this plan, they said “Yes” before he even finished a sentence. Because they knew this wasn’t about MJF, this was about them! And when Taven thinks on the best moments of his career, or hell, his life, it is with this group here together. Roddy says yeah, that’s right.

But Roddy does want Cole to know that he’s so proud of Cole. Cole worked his ass off this past year to come back from a serious ankle injury. The fans cheer that. Roddy says more importantly, he is proud of Cole coming back to finish what they started, and that is to take MJF out together. Cole, as your best friend, Roddy wants Cole to know this. Roddy wants his shot at MJF first. Fans aren’t so sure about that now but Cole says Roddy is damn right. They are going to finish what they started one way or another, and they should finish it tonight! The fans like the sound of that! Cole dares MJF to come on out here so they can take turns giving MJF an undisputed ass whooping!

The fans fire up, Cole & The Kingdom all watch the ramp, but MJF is on the tron, getting a massage. MJF says that feels so good. He has been so tense since Cole came back. Oh, oops, didn’t see you boys there! MJF is so shocked Cole still wants to get his hands on MJF. Who knew. How greedy. But old friend, greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy a need without ever reaching it. Remember the revenge MJF promised to dangle over his head? Well, guess greed has blinded Cole from the fact that MJF is literally telling Cole he won’t ever get his hands on him!. Unlike Ms. Natalia here.

Oh, well. But here’s MJF’s carrot. Cole and his “trailer park pals,” whichever one wins three matches in a row first, they get MJF at Full Gear. Classic MJF move, right? Making people jump through hoops just to get at him. But to ensure that Cole cannot assault MJF- Oh, just a little bit lower, babe. Thanks. But MJF won’t be there in person until Full Gear. Gosh, hopefully they get the happy ending they want. Lord knows MJF will. MJF settles back in and the tron shuts off. Cole says hey, if that’s what they gotta do, then that’s what they gotta do. Undisputed Kingdom hugs it out, who wins their right to fight the Wolf of Wrestling?

Oh, and Kyle O’Reilly is watching? How does he feel about all his old friends being friends with each other again?

Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter.

Renee is now with the former AEW Women’s World Champion and asks how it feels to hear Penelope Ford talk about how personal this has been for her. Hayter says she heard everything Penelope said, and she came to the conclusion… that it is BS! Penelope thinks things were handed to Hayter? Hayter slept on floors, had a minus in her bank account, and she could list so many other reasons why Hayter worked for this! “When you wrestle in community centers in front of 20 drunk men for 20 quid for most of your career, then you can talk to Hayter about not ‘working hard’ for this and being ‘handed everything.'”

Penelope wants to attack from behind? Wants to pop up on the tron? Well, Hayter is here in Salt Lake City looking for a fight, but surprise, surprise! Penelope is NOT. Penelope wants to be the victim of Hayter’s return? Then how about Hayter makes Penelope the victim! Two weeks from tonight, Dynamite, will Penelope be there? Hayter heads out, will Mrs. Superbad step up to the challenge?

Six Man Tag: The House of Black VS Kevin Koa, Jaden Monroe & Pirata de la Muerte!

While there are forces fighting for power in AEW, this force of nature proved last Saturday that they have not lost a step. Will every team in AEW remember that The House Always Wins?

The teams sort out, the fans bark for Brody but Malakai starts first. Pirata de la Muerte steps up for his team, only to get THE END! The fans fire up as the pirate of death is down, and now Koa finds himself the legal man! Koa runs up, Malakai sweeps the legs, and now Koa finds he’s surrounded. Malakai wrenches Koa, tags Buddy, and Buddy climbs to DOUBLE STOMP the arm! Buddy wrenches Koa but Koa ROCKS Buddy! Tag to Jaden, but Buddy wrenches him to tag Malakai. They whip Jaden, kitchen sink knee to PENALTY KICK! KNEE DROP! Brody tags and adds a SENTON! Koa runs back in but Brody CHOPS him down!

The fans fire up as Brody runs up to SPLASH Koa in the corner! Koa sits down, the fans bar and the House of Black unleash CERBERUS!! The fans are thunderous as Buddy & Malakai DOUBLE KNEE Jaden, then TOSS him to a POWERBOMB from Brody! Brody says finish it, and Buddy hits the CURB STOMP! Cover, The House wins!

Winner: The House of Black, by pinfall

The former AEW World Trios Champions are rolling, but they’re not done as Buddy grabs a mic. Buddy says, “Now that he’s cleared, next week, Buddy Matthews, Adam Cole Baybay!” The Aussie Juggernaut wants after the Panama City Playboy, will Cole already be eliminated from the MJF Full Gear challenge?

Backstage interview with Adam Cole.

Renee finds Cole & The Undisputed Kingdom to ask about this sudden challenge from Buddy. Cole says hey, he’ll go ask Buddy what’s up. Cole heads over to gorilla, and he stares down The House of Black. Brody & Malakai head out, but Cole asks why Buddy’s calling him out. Does Buddy have some sort of problem with Cole? No? Nothing else to say? What’s the deal? Buddy chuckles, and says it is to prove a point. And what is that? “That you’re fragile.” Buddy wants to break Cole, will he do just that? Or can Cole prove AEW is still undisputed?

Kamille w/ Mercedes Mone VS Queen Aminata!

The Brickhouse is going to battle #BornAgainKristen next week in The Land, but she must first make it through the One True African Woman. Will Aminata prove she is still a worthy contender to the TBS Championship? Or will Kamille remove the Queen from the board?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally up, Aminata and Kamille tie up, and Aminata waistlocks. Kamille switches to SLAM Aminata down! The fans boo but Aminata is a little flustered. Aminata storms up but Kamille hits low. Kamille whips Aminata to a corner, runs up, and SPLASHES! Then short arm LARIAT! Cover, ONE?!? Aminata surprises Kamille and upsets Mone. Kamille scoops Aminata, aims, but Aminata slips free to shove Kamille into buckles! Aminata fires hands, then winds up, but Kamille dodges. Kamille runs in, Aminata goes up and over! Aminata runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and tilt-o-whirls to RANA!

Kamille staggers up, but she avoids the dropkick! Aminata avoids the elbow! Aminata PENALTY KICKS Kamille down! Cover, ONE!?! Aminata is surprised but Mone is still upset. Aminata brings Kamille up, but Kamille switches to ripcord. Aminata slips around to crucifix and sunset! TWO! Kamille escapes, scoops Aminata, and powers up to BACKBREAKER! Aminata writhes, Kamille dusts herself off, and Mone feels better now. Kamille cocky covers, ONE, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Kamille scoops Aminata again, and hits another BACKBREAKER! Aminata writhes to the apron, but Kamille drags her up. Kamille puts Amianta through ropes, to CLUB! And CLUB! And CLUB again! The ref counts, Kamille stops at 4, and Aminata flops to the floor. Mone says hold up, and she scampers over to DECK Aminata! The CEO gets away with that because Kamille distracted the ref, and Mone scampers back to her corner. Mone smiles while Aminata sputters. The ring count is 5 of 10, and Aminata drags himself up. Aminata rolls into the ring, but Kamille drops a BIG elbow! Cover, ROPEBREAK!

Kamille drags Aminata back, stomps her down again and again, then drops an elbow on the leg! Kamille pulls on the toehold but Aminata endures. Kamille drops another elbow on the leg! Aminata endures again, and pulls Kamille  down with her free leg! ARMBAR! Kamille fights free, and she BOOTS Aminata! Kamille covers, TWO! Aminata stays in this and that frustrates Kamille, but Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite returns and Kamille grinds Aminata down with a chinlock. The fans rally for Aminata as she fights up, and she cravats for a SMASH! Aminata runs, and ducks the wheel kick! Kamille stagger sup, Aminata LARIATS! And ROCKS her! And CHOP BLOCKS her! The fans fire up as Aminata runs to SLIDING D! The fans fire up and Aminata hits a TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Mone is freaking out but Aminata runs, to BOOT WASH Kamille! Aminata stares Mone down as the fans fire up! Aminata drags Kamille to a cover, TWO!! Kamille survives but the fans rally for Aminata. Aminata has the body scissors and she squeezes tight!

Aminata then hooks Kamille up, LEG NELSON! The fans fire up and Mone freaks out! Kamille pushes back to a cover, TWO!! DRAGON SLEEPER! Aminata has Kamille caught, but Kamille fights up. Kamille wrenches out to ROCK Aminata! Mone wants another one of those! Aminata ROCKS Kamille first! Kamille shakes that off, runs up, but Aminata wrenches to Alabama Lift! But Kamille fights that, CLUBS Aminata’s back, and brings Aminata up! But Aminata RANAS through! Cover, TWO!! Kamille escapes, slips around, and torture racks! Kamille THRASHES Aminata, then hits a RACK BOMB! Cover, TWO?!?

Mone is losing her cool but the fans are thunderous! Kamille storms around, Mone says finish this! Kamille drags Aminata up, dragon sleepers, and hits the ROAD TO DAMASCUS!! Cover, Kamille wins!

Winner: Kamille, by pinfall

The Brickhouse finally crushes Aminata, and Mone celebrates with her like she did something. But wait! Kris Statlander makes her presence known! The fans fire up as Kris goes right down the ramp and into the ring! Kris stares down Kamille, almost like Mone isn’t there. Mone has Kamille stand down, and tells Kris not to disrespect Kamille. Look at her! And compared to Kamille… Then Mone CLUBS Kris! Kris just smirks at Mone. Kris ELBOWS Mone, and fires off hands with Kamille! The fans are thunderous again, but Mone anchors Kris’ leg! Kamille drags Kris into the ROAD TO DAMASCUS!!

The #BornAgainKristen just got blindsided by The CEO & Brickhouse. They stand over her, Mone holding up the TBS Championship, will we see this again for Fright Night?

A car pulls into the parking lot.

Top Flight, Butcher, Dark Order and the rest of the anti-BCC alliance are ready for a fight with whoever is in there, but turns out it’s just The Patriarchy. Christian Cage tells them all to respect him as the holder of the Casino Gauntlet title match contract. The others don’t care, Captain Charisma isn’t who they wanted anyway. Nick Wayne taunts John Silver’s nunchaku, and Christian reminds us he is the future AEW World Champion. But then Kip Sabian is lurking! Christian chases Mr. Superbad again, will Christian catch him this time?

Wait, that chase brings them to the ring! Kip goes to the ring, Christian & Nick storm in, but Kip wants them to hold on and let him explain! Christian & Nick corner Kip, but here comes Hook! The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil has been looking for who attacked his dad, and maybe he’s put together whodunnit! Renee hurries to walk ‘n’ talk with him, and points out that Hook just recently saw the security footage of the attack! Can Hook tell us who it was? Hook says yeah, the scumbag’s in the ring right now! Hook’s gonna go kick his ass! The fans fire up for that! But wait, there’s four people, who does he mean?

Hook storms down the ramp, dodges Nick and TAZ PLEXES him! Kip and Christian both tell Hook to hold on, but Hook grabs Christian! Hook says Christian’s gonna pay, but then Kip LOW BLOWS Hook!? The fans boo but Superbad is siding with Christian?! Christian says he knows why Kip’s been doing what he doing, keeping Christian from cashing in a few weeks ago. Christian will deal with that later. For now, Kip can sit in the corner. Kip obeys, and Christian tells Nick to finish this. Nick goes up and up, WAYNE’S- REDRUM!! But Christian CRACKS Hook with the contract clipboard! Nick resets, for WAYNE’S WORLD!

The fans boo as Nick and Christian hug it out. Christian then turns Hook to hit a KILLSWITCH on the clipboard!! And he tells “Tyler” this isn’t what he thinks it is. Christian then holds up his clipboard, dented from Hook’s head. What is Captain Charisma even talking about? Why did he attack Taz? Why is Kip joining The Patriarchy? What will it take for Hook to avenge his father?

Six Man Tag: The Elite VS Daniel Garcia & Private Party!

Even in the face of Moxley’s motley crew claiming they run AEW now, Jack Perry & The Young Bucks did nothing! Their apparent apathy angered Red Death and his friends, so now the pursuit of gold comes with a grudge! Will Garcia, Quen & Kassidy prove they all deserve those AEW titles far more than The Elite? Or will The Scapegoat & The Bucks simply make them the newest sacrifices for the “greater good?”

The teams sort out but then they start getting at each other. There’s trash talking, and then Jack Perry shoves Garcia! Garcia chases Perry out of the ring! The fans fire up, The Bucks go after Private Party, and then Jack turns things around on Garcia. The ref reprimands, but then Garcia sends Jack into steel steps! Private Party DOUBLE DROPKICK The Bucks outta the ring! Then Private Party hurries to DOUBLE PLANCHA! The Bucks go down, the fans fire up, and Garcia puts Jack in the ring! The bell sounds, and the main event finally begins! Garcia stomps a mudhole into Jack, then digs his boot in!

The fans fire up, Garcia lets off to drag Jack up. Jack CLAWS Garcia’s eyes, CLUBS Garcia then tags Matthew Jackson. But Garcia CLOBBERS Matt! Garcia CLUBS Matt, tags Isiah Kassidy, and he fires hands. Zay wrenches Matt, whips him, but Nick tags in. Matt slides under. The Bucks whip but Quen tags off Zay. Zay handsprings through the hip tosses, and then dodges! Quen also dodges, and QUADRUPLE LARIATS take everyone down! But then QUADRUPLE KIP UPS! The fans are thunderous, Jack gets in to CLOBBER Zay, but Garcia TACKLES Perry! Nick drags Garcia up, Garcia elbows him away.

Matt runs up, Garcia kicks low and whips Matt into Jack! Garcia runs up to LARIAT them both! Then he sets up, Quen hits PARTY IN MOTION! Zay hits AFTERPARTY IN MOTION! They feed Matt to a LARIAT from Garcia! The fans fire up, but we get some picture in picture as the anti-BCC alliance is still waiting. Top Flight, Dark Order, The Butcher, now even The Infantry and Triple J, they’re all ready for a fight! As for the match, Quen tags Zay and Private Party double whip Matt. Matt reverses, Quen waistlocks, but Matt ducks, so Zay’s LARIAT hits Quen! Matt smirks, Zay is upset with himself, and Nick hops in. DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Zay!

Garcia runs in but he gets DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! The fans boo, but then Jack drags Garcia to the apron! Nick climbs, Matt sets Zay up in the ropes, DRAPING DDT & DRAPING SWANTON IN STEREO! The fans boo, Jack mockingly pats Garcia on the back, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Zay writhes while The Bucks soak up the heat. Then Matt stomps Zay around. Matt stalks Zay to a corner, drags him up, but Zay fires body shots. Matt frowns, and he CLAWS Zay’s face! Matt throws Zay down as the ref counts, and Matt snapmares Zay. Tag to Nick and he slingshot SENTONS! Tag to Jack and he adds his own slingshot SENTON! Cover, TWO! Jack drags Zay around, CLUBS him down, then KNEES him in the side! Jack soaks up heat from Salt Lake, then he sucker punches Quen! The ref reprimands but Jack steps on Zay’s face. Jack drags Zay up to snap suplex, then floats to a cover, TWO!

Jack keeps on Zay and brings him to the corner. Tag to Nick, BACKBRAEKER and LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Zay survives, but Nick runs up to stomp him! Nick taunts Quen & Garcia, but the ref stops them both from getting at Nick. Nick tags Matt, Matt drags Zay into a chinlock, but is secretly CHOKING Zay with a pearl necklace! Matt gets rid of the evidence before the ref can see it, and he tags Nick. The Bucks double whip, but Zay avoids the superkicks! Zay TOSSES Matt, fires hands on Nick, and he runs, only for Matt to trip him! Matt drags Zay out, but Zay ROCKS Matt! Nick runs up, catches Zay to a GUTBUSTER!

Matt runs up, NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Garcia protests, The Bucks taunt him, and Matt fetches Zay. Matt drags Zay around to THROW him into railing! And Stokely Hathaway is there to applaud… Dynamite returns to single picture as Stokely tells Zay this is why they should’ve accepted his help. Matt drags Zay up, brings him around, and whips, but Zay reverses! Matt is sent into steel steps! The fans fire up, Nick hurries to the apron, but Zay ducks! The PENALTY KICK hits Matt! Zay YANKS Nick down, but Nick tags Jack! Jack anchors Zay’s legs! Jack drags Zay back, but Zay fights up! ENZIGIRI!

The fans fire up as Jack falls back! Zay crawls, Garcia is rabidly waiting, but Matt YANKS Garcia down! Matt wags his finger, no hot tags for Zay. Jack drags Zay back to The Elite corner while Matt whips Garcia into railing! Nick goes up and around to line up a shot. Matt & Jack mug Garcia, and Nick SHINING WIZARDS Zay in the corner! Jack gets Garcia up to POWERBOMB him through the timekeeper’s table! Jack mockingly waves, and Nick hits a BULLDOG on Zay! Nick drags Zay over, tags Matt, and then Nick climbs.

Matt & Nick set up, RISKY BUSINESS! Cover, TWO!! Zay roars and the fans fire up! This is the same fire that kept Private Party in the tag title match for so long at WrestleDream! But Nick tags Matt back in, they double whip Zay, but Zay KICKS Matt! And CHOPS Nick! Zay knuckle locks, hurdles over Matt then goes up and up to FLYING RANA ARM-DRAG COMBO! Hot tag to Quen! Quen blows through Nick’s lariat to BLAST Jack! And he LARIATS Nick! LARIAT for Matt! HEEL KICK for Nick! HEEL- NO, Matt blocks but Quen PELES! Jack is in, he BOOTS Quen! Jack runs up, into a SNAP POWERSLAM!

Quen DOUBLE RANAS The Bucks! But The Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Zay tags back in, springboards, but The Bucks dodge! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Jack hits a POISON-RANA! Nick covers, TWO!! Zay survives again and the fans rally again. Nick tags Jack and Jack drags Zay up. Jack aims for the corner, BUCKLE BOMB ENZIGIRI COMBO! Then Jack brings Zay back up, sticks him on the ropes, and Nick goes up! DRAPING DOUBLE STOMP into the POWERBOMB! Cover, QUEN BREAKS IT!! The fans are thunderous again but Jack drags Quen to the apron. Jack reels Quen in, but Garcia YANKS Jack down!

Garcia whips Jack hard into railing, then runs to BOOT him over the railing! The fans are going nuts, but The Bucks have Zay! Zay fires back with fists and elbows! The fans rally as hard as they can for Zay and he whips Nick. Nick BOOTS back, Matt scoops, and Nick goes to the apron! But Quen YANKS Nick down! Zay shoves Matt away, dodges him, and Quen is there for SILLY STRING CRADLE!! PRIVATE PARTY & GARCIA WIN!!!

Winners: Daniel Garcia & Private Party, by pinfall

The Elite doesn’t understand how, but they get caught by Private Party all over again! Zay gets a mic to tell The Bucks, tonight here in Utah proves that they have The Bucks’ number! So they want a rematch! A rematch for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! Nick & Matt say yeah right. Well, Zay did expect that. But then wait, wait, wait! Here is an offer that The Bucks will not turn down. If Private Party gets one more chance, and they lose… Private Party splits up for good. Quen isn’t sure about that but Zay says that’s IF they lose. The Bucks say challenge accepted! Then say less! Fright Night, AEW World Tag Team Championships, Titles VS Team Career!

The Bucks applaud what could be a foolish gamble, but can Quen & Zay make good on these last SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS?

Wait, there’s a truck pulling up into the parking lot! This has to be the BCC! Marina Shafir steps out, but where are the others? YUTA & CLAUDIO JUMP PRIVATE PARTY IN THE RING!! Garcia turns around, he gets mugged 2v1! CHAIR SHOT! Claudio scrapes Garcia out of the ring, and now MOXLEY drags Chuck Taylor?! Moxley is dressed in all black, with a beanie, was he hiding in plain sight as a cameraman!? Moxley tosses Chuckie T into the ring, and Yuta brings the chair around! Yuta wants to destroy what is left of Chuck’s legs! Wait, Claudio stops him? Claudio says Yuta can do better! And by better, he means worse!

Claudio stomps Chuck, and puts the chair around Chuck’s neck!! Yuta is conflicted again, like he was with Bryan Danielson. Yuta wants to hurt his former mentor but not like this! So Claudio does it for him, and STOMPS the chair!! The fans boo, but here comes Cassidy! Cassidy was one second too late, and now the worst has happened! The rest of the anti-BCC gang shows up but BCC runs away into the night! This was the warning Moxley gave at the start of the night, but instead of going after a target directly, they attacked someone Cassidy cared for. And just like last week, The Elite don’t care, they have their own business to worry about.

Jack, Matt & Nick leave while medical comes in. They carefully take the chair off Chuck’s neck, and Cassidy is beside himself with a seething anger. Chuck wanted Cassidy to step up to stop Moxley, will this be the moment everything changes for Freshly Squeezed?

My Thoughts:

A powerful episode, a great episode, with more a go-home to Fright Night than build to Full Gear. I will say, very good promo from Adam Cole, Undisputed Kingdom and MJF to set things up for their story going to Full Gear. MJF being a little meta about “classic MJF,” but yeah, we should’ve figured he’d do this move. Cole and Roddy are definitely going to have a great couple of matches week to week, but I feel like the ultimate plan is to force a Cole VS Roddy match as both men’s third match. They all want revenge on MJF but he’ll use that to tear their friendship apart as some twisted poetic justice of what they did to him.

That said, Buddy Matthews wanting to be Cole’s first opponent is some good stuff. That’ll be a great match, one we never got while both men were in WWE, but also a solid first win for Cole to return to action with. Seems like House of Black just doesn’t need to do anything real anymore, they were already trios champions and TK is fine having them build up other people. Maybe we’ll see The House battle for other belts after Full Gear and this round of stories, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I’m not sure why tonight they felt the need to replay so many promos from Saturday, but they did. Were they that desperately in need of padding time? Well, it all worked to segue into new segments, though who cares, they could just do the new segments. Good new promo here tonight with Hayter calling out Penelope again, and you can bet she won’t be Hayter’s opponent for Rampage. Good new promo from Mariah May and Anna Jay to hype up their match, which surely happens at Full Gear. And good new video package to hype Kris VS Kamille. Kamille VS Aminata was awesome, so great win for Kamille, and great confrontation with Kris. Pretty sure this means Kris beats Kamille next week, to then face Mone at Full Gear for the TBS title.

Good new promo from MVP & Shelton to segue into Shelton’s match with Sammy. Great stuff there, great win for Shelton, and then great promo with the Hurt Syndicate with Ricochet. Ricochet had a good promo, and I like that he did in fact follow Takeshita to Canada to go after him at MLP’s show. I don’t see Ricochet joining up with Hurt Syndicate, but it would be pretty wild if he did. MVP might even sweeten the deal if he, Shelton and possibly even Bobby Lashley help fight off The Don Callis Family to make sure Ricochet VS Takeshita is a fair fight. Speaking of Don Callis Family, of course Cage & Archer win, and thankfully their finish is the choke slam bomb, not the modified Blackout.

Very good promo from Kyle, especially with him shrugging off the fans trolling him. Naturally, this was a “I’m not the next you, I’m the first me!” trope, but Kyle shaving his head was certainly an interesting move. I guess he’ll look more like Callis than Ospreay now. Very good promo segment from Hangman and White that was also partly a brawl. I feel like they’ll build to the Hangman VS White rematch in time for Full Gear, but Hangman might have to fight Colten Gunn 1v1 first to give him some momentum again. And since White won at WrestleDream, I’m sure Hangman finds a way to win at Full Gear, forcing them to do a tiebreaker at some point.

Great stuff with this BCC story throughout the night, but just one glaring flaw at the very beginning. Obviously, no one audio checked the opening hype package, because otherwise we could clearly hear Moxley talking out in the desert against this dramatic music. They’ve been at this for five YEARS, they should know how to do this by now. That said, the anti-BCC Faces waiting all night was good stuff, and it helped bring a lot of stories together at once. Conglomeration had to drop back for the Ladder War, which was a great match, but I suppose Jericho had to win the title this time. Big Bill is why, and that can set things up for Bill feeling unappreciated by Jericho, but it’s mostly just a bummer. But hey, Ishii is back for revenge, he’ll give Jericho a solid first defense.

Good tie-in of the Patriarchy story with them chasing Kip, Hook going after Christian, and then Kip joining Patriarchy by turning on Hook. I had a feeling Kip’s story with Christian was going this way, especially right now with Luchasaurus recovering from illness. Christian dropping Hook’s real name was also a nice detail. Hook surely beats Nick Wayne first, then fights Kip Sabian, and lastly gets Christian Cage at Full Gear, where he probably loses because he gets cheated. And then clearly Cassidy is being built up as the hero of AEW, because Chuck Taylor threw his support behind Cassidy in stepping up to The BCC as the leader of the resistance.

Cassidy’s hesitation, such as not helping Mark against Jericho, costs him when BCC takes out Chuck in brutal fashion. As I said for WrestleDream, AEW is doing this like a Rated R action movie, and while that’s a bit scary for pro-wrestling, it is compelling. This is that moment in the movie when the main character, who just wanted to live his life, loses a close friend, or in this case, a Best Friend, and vows vengeance on the villains. Cassidy VS Moxley for the AEW World Championship would be some awesome stuff, and I’m sure the fans would explode if Cassidy actually manages to win the title.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!

Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!

Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Bailey brings mics into the ring to say, “Congratulations to The Jet on a hell of a win!” Knight says much appreciated. But like he said, they’re red hot right now! And Brian Cage, welcome back! Cage took Knight to his limits, but The Jet is still standing as TNT Champion. But Knight can’t get over how last week, he couldn’t get the job done becoming #Jet2Belts. Bailey says forget last week. AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!

This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! “Jungle” Jack Perry speaks.

“Mark Davis… I’m sure you feel some congratulations are in order. But you’re not champion to me. You see, you’re built like an Australia grizzly bear, yet you still needed somebody to hit me in the back with a golf club for you to beat me. At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

“And if you don’t like that, F YOU!” Jungle Jack is sharpening his knife, but will his edge be razor sharp when it comes time to cut down Dunkzilla?

The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!

With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?

The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!

Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!

Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!

Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.

Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!

Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!

Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification

The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!

The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?

AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!

They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?

The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!

Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.

Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.

Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!

The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10

Jack BOOTS Davis, slips outside and ROCKS Davis again, then slingshots, but into a FOREARM! Davis then runs to BLAST Jack off the apron! The fans boo Davis but he soaks it up while Collision goes to break.

Davis CHOPS Jack into the crowd! Davis leaves Jack behind while the ring count climbs. Jack drags himself up while the fans cheer him on, and Jack gets help getting up and over the barriers. Jack stumbles back to the ring, safe at 8! Davis storms up and tells the fans this is on them. But Jack dodges the chop, to SMACK Davis! And ROCK him again, and again, and again! Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Winner: Mark Davis, by pinfall (NEW AEW National Champion)

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Backstage interview with Don Callis, Mark Davis and Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

The teams sort out, Lena starts against Slay, and the clock is ticking! Slay DROPKICKS, but Lena doesn’t budge! Ley ENZIGIRIS, but Lena still doesn’t flinch! Ley & Slay double kick, but Lena blocks the double whip! Lena whips them, ELBOWS Slay and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS Ley! Then she scoops Slay to SLAM her onto Ley! Lena drags Ley up, whips her to the corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Tag to Megan and the Divine Dominion run side to side! BOOT from Lena, BOOT from Megan! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Ley tumbles, the fans cheer, and Megan tags Lena back in. Lena storms up on Ley to GERMAN SUPLEX again!

The fans cheer as Lena tags Megan back in. We’ve hit 90 seconds, but it feels like forever for Ley as Megan GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Megan kips up, then she stalks Ley. Megan eggs Ley on, slaps her around, then drags her up. Megan fireman’s carries, but Slay manages to tag in! Slay runs up, but Megan scoops her! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! They’ve made it two minutes but that might be all! Tag to Lena, she and Megan get Slay up, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Winners: The Divine Dominion, by pinfall (denies Slay & Ley a title opportunity)

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?

BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!

The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
