Kelani headlocks, Monroe powers out, but Kelani goes up and up and AX HANDLES! The fans fire up with Kelani and she headlocks Monroe. Monroe pulls hair, the ref reprimands, but Monroe powers out. Lani RUNS her over, then keeps moving. Monroe drops down, sidesteps, then TOSSES Kelani out! Monroe then runs to WRECK Kelani with a dropkick! Monroe SMACKS Lani off the apron, puts her in the ring, and bites her finger seductively.

Monroe storms into the ring but Kelani fires forearms! Kelani whips, Monroe reverses, and Kelani bounces off buckles. Monroe scoops and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS! Monroe runs to DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Jazmyn sighs and rolls her eyes, but Fallon brings up how TNA’s Masha Slamovich AND Ash By Elegance are coming after the Knockouts Championship. Jacy says don’t remind her. But then someone introduces themselves to The Fatal Influence. It is The Personal Concierge, George Iceman! And he tells Jacy that he has a message for her: This is the last week in which she will be Knockouts Champion. You see, the beautiful, the gorgeous and stunning Miss Ash By Elegance will defeat you this Thursday!

And he is just here to polish up the title nice and shiny. She slaps his hands away and says no one is touching her title. The Personal Concierge leaves, but Lainey Reid walks in. She says speaking of shining titles, isn’t that Jazmyn’s job? Jazmyn is upset but Fallon laughs and Jacy says that’s a good point! Jazmyn, go shine them up! Jacy sends Jazmyn off with both belts, then she and Fallon head out. Lainey gets left behind, but will her stirring the pot within the Influence get her what she wants?

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights meet backstage.

Myles congratulates Tavion on that win over Dempsey, and says he’s proud of him. Well, Tavion’s proud of Myles! Myles is proud of Tavion! But time to go make an impact. Tavion says yeah, he’s got his eyes set on something, Myles put him on game. But in the meantime, Myles needs to go shut up the hater. Lexis been talking way too much. They shake hands and Myles heads out. Will Myles make the Drama King see the truth? Or will Lexis continue to be blind to his own ignorance?

The Culling talks backstage.

Tatum Paxley is going on and on about always wanting to be champion still doubting if she can do it. Izzi Dame stops her and says she believes in Tatum. The Culling believes in Tatum! If Tatum beats Sol tonight, she won’t have to worry about fitting in anywhere ever again, because she’ll fit into the history books! This is Tatum’s moment. Tatum smiles and says okay, she’ll make them proud! Tatum peps herself up, but will she finally have gold? Or will she just get her soul snatched by Sol Ruca?

This is edition 16, and she visited Baldwin Perk in Baldwin Perk, Florida. Thea likes the fun reference to Friends, aka something Nia doesn’t have. Oh, who said that? Thea keeps taunting Nia through her video, saying how the drink is beautiful, unlike Nia’s personality, but that the drink is bitter, exactly like Nia’s personality. But why is she talking smack on Nia? Maybe it’s because Nia shows up, goes after Lash, and then acts like she runs NXT or something. Nia dared everyone to find out? How ’bout Nia finds out? Thea can make her find out! Thea sips her coffee, heads out, and sounds like she’s raring for a fight. Will she get much more than that with their match being made official?

Myles shared his truly inspirational story, and how life itself is a miracle for him. But will it be a miracle if The Drama King ever actually humbles himself? Or will it just be a different day, same annoying story from this loose cannon?

Dion Lennox says, “Five up, and five got put down!” Osiris Griffin says, “Poor Hank ‘n’ Tank, always one step behind Darkstate. I mean, did you think that was an accident? Did you think the Culling~ jumped you? Man, PSYCH! That was us. And that’s what I call calculated chaos.” Saquon Shugars asks, “Is y’all surprised? Mystery solved! We don’t ask for nothing, fools. We hit at whoever, and we been had our scope on them tag titles.” Cutler James says, “We been on your ass for awhile, right up your butt! And I promise you, we’ll stay right there until you just can’t handle it.” The others aren’t sure how to handle that.

But Dion says that their territory has been marked, the gold is within reach, and when the lights go out, ain’t a damn thing safe! Especially not them titles! But hey, bruh, Dion is thinking they ain’t done yet! Darkstate heads out, whose heads need to be on a swivel the rest of the night?

The Irresistible Force didn’t like Lash Legend going on and on about eliminating her from the Evolution Battle Royal, so Nia decided to lash out. But the #GrownAssWoman doesn’t like Nia talking down to the entire NXT Women’s Division like she’s so much better! Will Thea really not like it when she gets A-Nia-Lated? Or can Thea find a way to be David against this Goliath?

The bell rings and the fans rally for Thea. Thea jumps onto Nia, but Nia swings Thea around, only for Thea to SLEEPER! Nia RAMS Thea into buckles, THROWS her down, and runs up, only for Thea to dodge! Thea dropkicks a leg out, then she runs, but Nia CLOBBERS her! The fans are torn but Nia SMACKS Thea off the mat! Nia runs, but Thea avoids the elbow drop! Thea KICKS Nia, then STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, ONE!! Thea hurries but she tries to scoop!? Nia CLUBS Thea, shoves her, and fireman’s carries! SAMOAN DROP! Thea may be a Grown Ass Woman, but she could not withstand damage of that magnitude. Kelly Kincaid interviews Nia in the ring, bringing up Nia costing Lash against Fallon. Nia snatches the mic to say she imposed her will. Any ring she steps into is hers. Lash will not make a name off Nia’s. Nia is a former champion, honey! And she’s beaten champions, legends, and even Hall of Famers. What has Lash ever done? But speaking of, Lash Legend is here! Lash has a mic to tell Nia that if she wants to call herself the Irresistible Force, then she’s about to see real quick that Nia’s force breaks under Lash’s pressure!

Lash storms right into the ring and the brawl is on! Lash fires hands, Nia RAMS her into a corner, and now refs and security rush out here! The fans say “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” The chaos keeps going as NXT goes to break, has the Irresistible Force just met her Immovable Object?

Jordynne Grace talks with Ava Raine.

The Juggernaut wants the NXT General Manager to understand that she already knows what Ava’s going to say. Ava says she wasn’t going to yell at Grace about going after Monroe, she just wanted to talk about Heatwave. Grace says she knows she still has the neck brace, but she’ll be cleared soon. Exactly! That is why at Heatwave, it will be Grace VS Monroe 1v1. Ava knows Monroe has put Grace through a lot, and Ava is supposed to be unbiased, but… After what Monroe did last week with the body shaming… On behalf of Ava and many other women out there, Monroe deserves to get her ass kicked. Grace says count on it. They fist bump and Grace heads out.

The fans cheer as THE NXT Champion struts his way to the ring. The Ruler grabs a mic and says, “Two weeks ago in Houston, Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs threw every single thing they had at me to try and take this title. They failed miserably, so now for over 200 days, I have carried this NXT Championship. 200 DAYS, I have carried this brand. So here we are again, we’re asking the same question we asked last time. Who is going to step up? Who is going to challenge? Who is going to come and face The Ruler? Who is worthy enough to take this title from me?

“But the unfortunate answer is that no one is. Because NXT is supposed to be the brand built for the future. Superstars of tomorrow slated to main event PLEs like SummerSlam and Royal Rumble. But I look at this division now, the future is not looking very bright. Because I beat them all, I stomped them all, I destroyed them all, because the names change, but the result remains the same.” Wait, Trick Williams is here! The fans chant “Whoop Dat Trick!” but he has them cut his music so he can tell Oba Femi, “The one who refers to himself as the big dog. I ain’t gonna lie, I ain’t delusional, you are a big dog.

“But if one thing for sure, two things for certain, anyone who watches NXT knows that Trick Williams is the biggest dog NXT has to offer, let’s talk about it!” Oba tells Trick that he comes here, week after week, singing his own praises time after time. Trick says ohh~ yeah! Then is Trick trying this hard to convince the fans? Or to convince himself? Trick says forget that, this is to convince Oba! When you think about TNA, you think about Trick’N A! You think about NXT, you think about Trick Williams! Dammit, Trick is the man carrying two brands! Let’s talk about it! Oba says yes, yes, let’s do as Trick says and “talk about it!”

The fans chuckle at Oba’s imitation of Trick, and Oba says if we’re talking about it… Trick claims he carries two brands, and yet here Oba is with the NXT Championship. And let’s not forget, because Oba will always remind Trick, Trick cannot beat Oba! The fans are torn but Trick says he knew Oba would say that. The crazy thing is, Trick thought about it. He looked Oba in his eyes, then he looked at the title, and thought to himself, “Hmm… Why not me? Why can’t I be the man to officially carry two brands? Cuz I ain’t the same man that you saw a few months ago! Dammit, I’m a self-made superstar! I made myself HIM!

The fans cheer and the Young OG says turn his music off. And he wants everyone to hold on, hold on, hold on, quiet down. “Trick, I ain’t gonna lie. Your ass goofy as hell, boy!” Trick is annoying! Je’Von is out here, wanting the biggest dog in the yard, aka Oba Femi. And Trick out here trying to make this all about himself, saying, “Oh, I’ma try to go after the NXT Championship.” Which is crazy to Je’Von, cuz Trick barely defends the TNA Championship!

The fans cheer that burn and Trick says that if he’s said it once, he’s said it a thousand times, and he’ll say it again tonight. “Mind your business when grown folks is talking!” Oba says okay, fine, he will leave these two to it. But Je’Von says no, no, let’s make this about Trick. Je’Von suggests he and Trick go 1v1, winner gets Oba for the NXT Championship. The fans cheer, and even Oba likes that! In fact, have that match tonight, right here and now! Je’Von says hell yeah, but Trick says, “HELL~ NAH! Stop clapping, goofies! Not in front of all these undeserving people! You wishy-washy fans WISH you could get Trick Williams for free!”

Trick says they’ll do this in two weeks, in a nice city like Philadelphia, who know something about champions! The fans boo, Je’Von says he won’t wait two weeks. But Trick tells Philly he’s the biggest champion they’ve ever seen, and he’s coming. Wait! MOOSE is here?! Even Oba is rather stunned seeing TNA’s “Face of the Franchise” back again. No longer X Division Champion, Moose makes his way to the ring, and he tells “Trick James, Tricky Williams, Trick’N A,” allow me to snap you back to reality. Because in 10 days, TNA Emergence, Trick has a date with The Face of the Franchise!

And after Moose takes that TNA World Championship off Trick’s waist, the one name synonymous with whooping dat Trick will be… “MOOSE!” Trick says the fans are cheaters. Moose tells Oba, “Don’t think for one second that I forgot about Roadblock.” WAIT! DARKSTATE IS BACK! The fans can’t believe it, but Dion, Cutler, Saquon & Osiris aren’t up in the stands, they slide in from the perch side! They beat down Trick, Oba, Je’Von and Moose in the corners, but wait! Je’Von goes up and over, Osiris POSTS himself! Moose TOSSES Cutler and DECKS him! Trick TOSSES Dion up and over to then BOOT him down!

Oba adds on by picking Saquon up and SHOTPUTS him onto the rest of Darkstate! The lights come up, security rushes out here, and the fans fire up! Did Darkstate just bite off more than they can chew with that fantastic four in the ring?

And Arianna Grace walks over to say hi to Channing. He says she can just call him “Stacks,” but she says, “Oh stop it. You don’t have to play games with me. Anyways, I just came to check on you.” For what? That slap from Inamura? Nah, he’ll pay for that soon enough. OH NO, Lash and Nia come brawling through! Stacks & Arianna get outta there as security rushes in. What will it take to stop these two from tearing down the house?

Wren Sinclair talks with Charlie Dempsey.

She knows he misses Tavion, and so does she. But on the bright side, there can be more #WrenCQT. What? Wren ‘n’ Charles Quality Time! Sigh… That’s all he needs, huh? He’s too good of a coach, he trained Tavion and Myles too well. Wren says she wants to cheer him up, but he says he wants to be sad. Y’know wanna know what cheers Wren up? No. SAY HIS NAME AND HE APPEARS! Oh no. I BELIEVE IN JOE HENDRY! Wren, please, he’s not gonna- Joe Hendry pops outta the fridge!! Joe smiles as he walks over and Wren joins in with the clap! Joe says it is great to be back on NXT, and he thanks Wren. But what’s up with sourpuss here?

Charlie says if he wasn’t miserable before, he is now. Joe Hendry is the last thing NXT needs. Why is he here? Joe says he can see why Charlie is upset: He’s feeling left out. Wren takes off her NQCC jacket to reveal she’s been dressed just like Joe this whole time! And Joe brings out a pair of khakis and a blue button up just for Charlie! Oh, wow, great, he’ll wear it never. Charlie tosses those aside and says Joe tries to be viral, but y’know where “viral” comes from? Virus! As in a disease! And that is what Joe is, an infection! Wren tells Joe that Charles doesn’t know that for sure, he’s not a doctor, he just watches a lot of Grey’s Anatomy.

But Wren figures the only thing that cheers Charles up anymore is wrestling. Well then, Joe suggests they have a match! They can have it next week! Wren says “Sourpuss” accepts! Charlie storms off, Wren asks if he’s going to tell Ava. Charlie doesn’t respond, and Wren asks for a pic with Joe. Joe says of course. Selfie style and peace sign! But will The Prestigious One “cheer” Dempsey up by pinning him in the ring? Or will Dempsey make Joe a believer in No Quarter?

Yoshiki Inamura VS Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo!

The Great Rush wanted after his former friend, Josh Briggs, but the NXT Heritage Cup Champion got involved. Will Inamura show Stacks what a win with honor looks like? Or will the former Underboss use all the underhanded tricks he has?

Stacks CLOBBERS Inamura during his entrance! The fans boo but Stacks mugs Inamura. Stacks puts Inamura in the ring, rains down fists, but the ref backs him off. Stacks goes back for more, the ref backs him off again, and the bell rings. The fans chant “RATATOUILLE!” at the rat that ruined the D’Angelo Family, and Inamura seethes as he rises up. Stacks runs up, but into a CHOP! Stacks goes to a corner, Inamura runs in, but Stacks BOOTS him! Stacks CHOPS, CHOPS, and runs to BUSAIKU KNEE! Cover, TWO! Stacks fires down ELBOWS into Inamura, then clamps on the shoulder claws! The fans boo but Inamura fights up.

Inamura pries the hands away but Stacks knees low! Stacks clinches but Inamura fires body shots! Stacks headlocks and grinds the hold. Inamura kneels, but then he fires body shots! Inamura powers up to hit a BIG- CROSSBODY COUNTER! Stacks covers, TWO! Stacks sits Inamura up to SLIDING FOREARM! Stacks rains down fists, the fans boo, but Stacks mockingly bows to Inamura. Stacks goes up a corner, climbs up, and he mocks Inamura’s pump up! Inamura stands, and he THROWS Stacks down! The fans fire up, and Inamura CLBOBERS Stacks! And DOUBLE CHOPS! Sumo stance, SUMO PALM STRIKES!

Inamura PALM THRUSTS and Stacks ends up in a corner! Inamura fires off CHOPS and HAYMAKERS on Stacks! Stacks tries to get away but can’t, and Inamura fires more HAYMAKERS and CHOPS! Inamura then powers up and he CHOPS Stacks up and out! The fans fire up with Inamura and he goes out after Stacks. Stacks RAMS Inamura into the apron! Stacks stands Inamura up to tell him, “You wanna slap me? You wanna slap me?! You punk, who do you think you are?!” Inamura SLAPS Stacks down! The fans fire up and Inamura looms over Stacks, but Arianna rushes out here? She shouts at Inamura, and then SLAPS him!!

The fans boo, the ref goes out there and he backs the two off. The ref tells Inamura to go back to the ring and tells Arianna to get outta here. But wait! Josh Briggs slips into the ring! BOOT for Inamura!! The fans boo as Briggs slips away, Stacks covers, and Stacks wins!

Was this all planned? Well, even if it wasn’t, the bottom line is that Stacks gets a win! Will Miss NXT help Stacks become the new Don of NXT?

NXT returns and Ethan Page is in the ring.

The fans already troll All Ego as “A-HOLE~!” But the NXT North American Champion has a mic to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, today marks the 70th day as the Greatest North American Champion of all time. And last week was a pure demonstration in the Canadian standard of excellence!” The fans boo but Ethan says he will give credit where credit is due. “Even with that vile reptilian sock and his best efforts, Santino Marella was just not able to get the job done. But a positive note: Santino Marella is still Canadian, and that makes him better than all of you.” But even then, Santino is just Canadian, not the Greatest North American like Ethan.

The fans tell Ethan to shut up but he continues by saying in the pantheon of great Canadians, you have men like Alexander Graham Bell, Wayne Gretzky, and The Best There Was, Bret “The Hitman” Hart. But the number one is “All Ego” Ethan Page! The fans boo but Ethan says hold on, he wants to hold the belt up so they can see how beautiful it is. Ethan holds the belt open, and says before he decides which continent he devours next, he wants to celebrate last week’s win. Please respectfully stand as YOUR champion sings the Canadian National Anthem! The fans boo as Ethan begins, “O~ CANADA~!”

Wait, Tavion Heights is here! And Tavion tells Ethan he can chill with all of that. Ain’t nobody tuning into NXT for what sounds like a Canadian goose dying! And Tavion sees Ethan is repping his country, he gets that. In fact, he can relate. Tavion was on Team USA for the Olympic Games himself. The fans cheer “U S A! U S A!” Tavion says the difference between them is that Ethan acts like he’s on a pedestal. When in reality, Tavion thinks Ethan needs to be knocked off “that maple leaf sucking perch” he’s on. The fans cheer and Tavion says it’s true, he just broke out of NQCC. But it is time to break out on the scene in NXT!

And Ethan knows just as well as Tavion that Tavion is a weapon in human form. Now he just needs to figure out where to aim all this pent up energy. And unfortunately for Ethan, it’s looking like it’ll be him. Ethan says whoa, whoa, whoa, no no no. Tavion, listen. You just crawled you way outta NQCC. So please do Ethan a favor: Learn how to walk before you learn how to run before you try to dance with the champ! Oh, Ethan thinks he’s funny? He thinks he has dance moves? Well guess what? Ethan has another thing coming. But wait, CHELSEA GREEN is here?! The fans go nuts as the Hot Mess and her Secret Her-vice walk out on stage!

Chelsea tells “Tavi-off,” how dare he interrupt the greatest Canadian to ever hold the North American Championship! That man inspires millions of Canucks daily. And FYI, that is Canadian for “Canadians.” Chelsea tells her “Slaygents” that she heard that once, Ethan fought off a moose and the moose apologized. And you know what they say: The best American heroes come from Canada. The fans boo but Chelsea joins Ethan in the ring to tell “T” that the moral of this story is that Ethan Page is the Model Canadian, second only to “moi.” That’s French Canadian for “me.” And spoiler alert: The first-ever, longest-reigning and most dangerous Women’s US Champion is a proud Canadian!

The fans are torn, but Chelsea says she is here to support her countryman and sing their national anthem, until this rude, ignorant American ruined it! But he’s so cute when he’s angry. It’s a good thing she has her Secret Her-vice, but even a lowlife, trashy American would never have the balls to hit a woman like Chelsea! Tavion says she’s right, he wouldn’t. So he DECKS Ethan! And guess what? Tavion will just find the woman who will! The fans fire up as Tavion puts the Canadians on notice! Who will say they’re proud to be an American and stand up to The Hot Mess?

Kelani Jordan talks with Lola Vice backstage.

Lola cannot believe Monroe ran away. Kelani says Monroe was smart to do that, really. Lola says at least Kelani looked good out there. Kelani thanks Lola, and does accept that a win is a win. Plus, Monroe is Jordynne’s problem now. But then in walk Fatal Influence. They mock the “career making count-out win” Kelani got. Kelani probably thinks she’s a contender to the NXT Women’s Championship now. Kelani and Lola should both follow Monroe’s example and run away. Oh, from who? The most dysfunctional team in the locker room? Uh, well they were the same team that beat Kelani for the North American Championship. Well, Fallon did.

Jazmyn returns and hands the belts back to Jacy. She asks what is going on, and Jacy says nothing more than two delusional women reaching for things they’ll never have. Of course they are! How dare Lola & Lani step to the Double Champion, the leader of this and TNA’s locker room, and her sidekick, Fallon. While Jazmyn was shining the titles up, she talked to Ava and made a tag match for them next week. And look, they found the opponents! Lola & Lani thank Jazmyn, and Fallon can’t believe she’s the “sidekick!” What is going on with Jazmyn? And will the Influence end up losing to Lola & Lani?

Zaria talks with Sol Ruca backstage.

The Agent of Change tells the champ not to worry about Izzi, Niko, “or that creep,” Spears. She’ll handle them while Sol focuses on Tatum. Sol says Zaria’s hyped up like she’s the one having the match. Zaria says she doesn’t want Tatum taking the title. But then Lash and Nia come brawling in!? These two still haven’t stopped! Ava shouts at them that if they want a match so bad, fine! They’ll go 1v1 next week! Lash says GOOD! She’s already tired of Nia! These two are ready to throw down, but who will truly be the most dominant woman in the WWE?

Je’Von, Moose, Oba & Trick are all in Ava’s office.

They all want Darkstate, but Je’Von points out how Trick’s suddenly all quiet now. Moose says Trick doesn’t want that smoke, and Oba says Trick always runs from a real fight. Ava returns to her office and asks what they’re all doing in here. They all ask for their match with Darkstate, but she tells them here is what’s gonna happen. In Philly in two weeks, it will be Je’Von VS Trick, the winner is #1 contender to Oba Femi’s NXT Championship. Okay, that’s fair. But why in two weeks? Because next week, all four of them take on Darkstate in an 8 Man Tag. Je’Von groans, the others complain, but then Hank ‘n’ Tank storm in!

Hank says he and Tank want their shot at Darkstate! But Oba says they have Darkstate first. NO, this is the last time they attack without retaliation! They started it, Hank ‘n’ Tank finish it! Ava says here is what we do: at Heatwave, any two members of Darkstate VS Hank ‘n’ Tank for the tag titles. So excuse her, she has a show to run. Everybody out! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Everyone files out, but will everyone be satisfied with everything as we head for Heatwave?

Sit-down interview with Ricky Saints.

Kelly Kincaid is with The Absolute, and she says since debuting in February, he was North American Champion, was also injured, but now has Jasper Troy after him. Does he feel like he has a target on his back? Saints says absolutely. In fact, he practically came into NXT with a target on his back, because of the hype he had behind his name. And rightfully so, he earned that. But he’ll point out that it isn’t just the target, but the jealousy. Ethan Page was jealous of Saints and what he’s done. And now Troy, someone who is trying to get where Saints is. Being between those two, it is more than a target.

But it also shows Saints that there are different agendas but the same goals. Can he elaborate? Take Ethan Page for example. 18 YEARS of experience, Ethan understands NXT is where he needs to be to get to where he wants to go. To do that, Ethan has a plan. To do that, Ethan will do anything to get there. You can say Ethan is desperate. But on the flipside, Troy is young, angry, inexperienced. He doesn’t understand what his plan is yet, he is just making his way. So it is a paradox. You can’t prepare yourself for that. Is that frustrating for Saints? No. Everyone else is striving to be on a Monday night or a Friday night. Saints is already going to be doing that, and in the most absolute way.

But on the road to that, Saints wants to be NXT Champion. Right now, Troy is in the way. The last time we saw Saints is when Troy beat him by count-out. But what we didn’t see is the reserved part of Ricky, the part he’s been holding back. He wants everyone here to understand this, this is a promise. In two weeks in Philly, Saints promises Troy that if he thought Houston was something, it will be way worse. Saints is absolutely guaranteeing things won’t end up how they did before. Kelly wishes Saints luck with that and thanks him for his time. The revolution will be televised once again, but just how brutal will it get in the City of Brotherly Love?

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Sol Ruca w/ Zaria VS Tatum Paxley w/ The Culling!

#ZaRuca tried to reach out to Tatum as she was feeling heartbroken and lost, but if anyone knows how to prey on such feelings, it is The Culling. And while Izzi could not take this title off Sol, can Tatum succeed? Or will the painful truth be that Tatum chose the wrong side?

NXT returns as #ZaRuca make their entrance, and Zaria even carries Sol to the ring. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is most radical!

The bell rings and the two tie up. The fans duel, but then they agree to support “Both These Women!” as Tatum and Sol go around in a collar ‘n’ elbow. They go to ropes, go to the other side, then go to the mat. Sol thrashes Tatum around but Tatum kicks Sol away! Sol runs up, Tatum dodges, and Tatum CROSSBODIES in the corner! Tatum snapmares and KNEE SMASHES! Cover, ONE!! Tatum drags Sol around by her leg, but Sol kicks at Tatum now. Tatum stomps Sol, then mounts, only for Sol to slap at her. Tatum hooks the legs and rolls Sol for the SPIDER SURFBOARD! Sol makes it a cover, TWO!

Tatum sits up in time, and she still holds onto Sol! Sol breaks free and ROCKS Tatum! Sol then turns Tatum over, hooks her up, and grabs at the arms. Tatum resists so Sol CLUBS her! Sol has the arms, and pulls Tatum into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Tatum endures, fans do the wave for Sol, and Sol THROWS Tatum down! Then she SHOTGUNS Tatum to a corner! Sol feels the wave of momentum, runs in at Tatum, but is put on the apron. Sol ROCKS Tatum, slingshots, FACEBUSTER! Sol goes back up, but Spears is on the apron! Zaria YANKS Spears down! Izzi gets in Zaria’s face! Zaria and Culling argue their way to the ramp, but Sol changes targets!

Sol ARIHARA MOONSAULTS onto everyone! The Culling goes down and the fans fire up for “NXT! NXT!” ZaRuca chest bump then high-five while NXT goes picture in picture.

ZaRuca taunt The Culling as losers, L’s on their foreheads, then Sol goes to the apron. Sol steps in but Tatum BOOTS her in the ropes! HANGING NECKBREAKER! Sol dangles, Tatum drags her in, and Tatum fires off hands! The ref counts, Tatum stomps low, then stops. Tatum drags Sol up, runs her into buckles, then digs her boot in. The ref counts, Tatum stops at 4, and Tatum drags Sol up again. Tatum runs Sol back the other way, but Sol sends her into buckles! Roll up, TWO! Sol and Tatum stand, Tatum dodges and ENZIGIRIS! Tatum covers, TWO! Sol stays in this but Tatum stays on her. Tatum CLUBS Sol down, then clamps on the chinlock.

Sol endures, fights up, and the fans rally. Tatum wrangles Sol back down, but Sol keeps fighting. Sol snapmares free, runs up, but Tatum drop toeholds her onto ropes! Sol sputters from that hotshot but Tatum drags her to a cover, TWO! Tatum is frustrated but she drags Sol up. Tatum whips Sol to a corner, runs in and throat chops! Sol falls back, the ref reprimands, but Tatum drags Sol up. Sol fires body shots! Sol ROCKS Tatum, but Tatum kicks low! The fans rally more as Tatum whips Sol hard into a corner! Another throat chop! Tatum digs her boots in, the ref counts, and Tatum stops at 4. Tatum stands Sol up to whip corner to corner, but Sol reverses!

Tatum hits buckles, and then Sol reels her in! Sol wrenches, whips, and BACK- NO, Tatum DDTS! Cover, TWO! NXT returns to single picture as The Culling grows frustrated and the fans fire up. Tatum drags Sol back up, HEADBUTTS Sol, then HEADBUTTS again! Tatum HEADBUTTS a third time, then brings Sol around for a reverse cravat! Sol endures being bent backwards, and the fans cheer “Women’s Wrestling!” “NXT!” Sol endures, fights up, and she wrenches free, only for Tatum to facelock! Sol powers up, Tatum fights it, DDT! But Sol handsprings through! The fans fire up as The Culling panics!

Tatum runs up, Sol dodges, and then Sol mule kicks! Knee lifts! And CHOPS! Sol whips, then she SHOULDER TACKLES! And SHOULDER TACKLES! And then leg sweep, handspring, SUPERKICK! Tatum staggers around, Sol brings her in, HANGING NECKBREAKER of her own! Sol runs corner to corner to BACK BODY BLCOK! Then a BACKPACK SENTON! Jackknife bridge, TWO! RUNNING KNEE! Tatum tumbles to the apron and the fans fire up! Sol storms up, but Tatum drops back so she can ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up and Culling cheers as Tatum hurries in! Springboard MARIPOSA! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Sol survives, and neither Tatum nor The Culling can believe this! “This is Awesome!” as Tatum rises up. Tatum drags Sol up, then fires forearms and CHOPS! Tatum puts Sol in the corner, hoists her up top, then ROCKS her again! Tatum climbs up, brings Sol to the top, and the fans rally as hard as they can for both sides! Sol fights the suplex, CLUBS Tatum, then adjusts to SUPER SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!! Tatum flounders back and sits up in a daze! The fans rally even harder for “NXT! NXT!” Izzi and Zaria shout at each other as Sol aims from the corner! Sol shouts out Zaria with the SPEAR but Tatum dodges! Sol POSTS herself!

Tatum hurries to roll Sol up, with bridge, TWO!! Sol survives but Tatum hurries to hook her up! CEMETERY- NO, Sol has the ghost pin! TWO!! EDDY GORDO KICK!! The Culling panics while Sol hurries up a corner! MOONSAULT, but Tatum moves! Sol lands out, and she SPEARS Tatum this time! Sol puts Tatum up top, CHOPS and GAMANGIRIS, then goes out, up, and- WHOA, Sol has to steady herself and hop back down. The fans fire up as Sol goes for it again, climbing instead. But Tatum HEADBUTTS! SUPER SWINGING NECKBREAKER?!?! The fans, Zaria and The Culling are all going nuts, but Tatum can’t make the cover!

Wait, Spears sneaks the doll to Tatum, but Izzi says no, Tatum has to do this herself. Wait, Lash and Nia are STILL brawling?! They’re ringside, Nia DECKS Lash, SHOVES her into the apron, and this chaos distracts the ref from seeing Tatum take the doll! Tatum aims at Sol while Lash DECKS security guard after security guard! Then Lash POUNCES Nia through a barrier!! That distracts even Tatum! SOL SNATCHER!!! Cover, SOL WINS!!!

Winner: Sol Ruca, by pinfall (still NXT Women’s North American Champion)

Izzi believed in Tatum, but then utter chaos ruined everything! At least, it looked like Izzi believed. The bottom line is, Sol is still a DOUBLE Champion! Will anyone ever turn the tides on the Surfer Girl?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT to help build quite a lot of things, but especially Heatwave. Very clever count-out win for Kelani because Monroe fears Jordynne, even a hurt Jordynne, that much. And “The Personal Concierge” showing up on NXT to put Jacy on notice was good, helps hype up this week’s TNA. I don’t see Ash By Elegance (formerly Dana Brooke in WWE) taking this title, but it could set Jacy up for Masha coming after her for TNA’s next PPV. Lainey stirring the pot, talking smack on Jazmyn, is Lainey going to replace Jazmyn in Fatal Influence? Jazmyn sticking it to Fallon & Jacy by setting them up against Lola & Lani could also indicate that.

Great Instagram promo from Thea to help set up her match with Nia, and then a great match from Thea VS Nia. Nia of course wins, but her and Lash having it out all night from that moment was incredible. Granted, we literally just saw that with Sheamus and Rusev last night on Raw, but who cares when it was just as chaotic and fun? Especially with it playing into the finish of the main event. I could just feel Tatum losing tonight, but I thought it was solely going to be Izzi screwing her over. This was a good way to protect Tatum in the loss while disguising Izzi’s passive aggressiveness. I’m pretty sure it’ll all come to a head within the next few weeks, though.

Good promo between Tavion and Myles ahead of Myles’ match with Lexis. Very good match there, very good win for Myles, and they finally renamed the ZigZag for him. Very good promo from Tavion with Ethan, as well as the surprise appearance of Chelsea, Piper & Alba. I wonder if Tavion reaches out to Wren to face Chelsea. And we’ll get great stuff out of Ethan and Tavion in a match, probably also set for Heatwave. Great promo from Ricky Saints to set up that rematch with Jasper Troy, and I would think Saints finds a way to win that one, making them tied and possibly compelling a tiebreaker for Heatwave.

I really like them bringing the relationship of Stacks and Arianna Grace into kayfabe, and they’re already making a great duo with her distracting the ref and letting Briggs attack Inamura. Stacks wins, Inamura VS Briggs will surely happen for the Philly show, since that is also becoming a big deal. And then surprisingly, Darkstate made for a great throughline for the other stories on the show. Great tag match from Hank ‘n’ Tank VS Chase U Class of 2025, Kale & Uriah already have some good combo moves going, but of course Hank ‘n’ Tank won. Darkstate attack them, making for the tag title match, and then that promo from them…

I swear they’re leaning into Cutler not being as good at promos as the others with that “up your butts” line. If anyone’s getting kicked out of Darkstate, it’s him. And there’s still something suspicious with how Trick is reacting to Darkstate. Are they going to go through with making him the secret mastermind behind them? That’d be pretty wild, but a great way to keep things fresh going into the Fall season.
