AEW World Tag Team Championships: #Brodido VS Gates of Agony w/ Ricochet!

Bandido & Brody King made it through one wild Fatal 4 Way Ladder match, but Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona & the One & Only leader are coming off the domination of The Hurt Syndicate. They want gold, and are more than happy to go for the tag titles, but will The Demand be satisfied? Or will The Outlaw & The King still reign?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who stands tall in the Steel City!

The teams sort out and the big men start. The fans bark for Brody, but then Bandido says he wants in now? The fans fire up for that, too, so Brody tags Bandido in! Ricochet is on commentary and even he dismisses this match-up. Liona pushes Bandido aside and wants big bad Brody. But Bandido shoves Liona and tells him to bring it! Bandido CHOPS, Liona is annoyed, but Brody says do it Mexican style! Bandido winds up and CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” but Liona just smiles. Liona grabs Bandido by the mask, but Bandido fires body shots! Liona shoves Bandido, Bandido ducks ‘n’ dodges, waistlocks, then ducks an elbow.

Bandido tries to scoop, but Ricochet says he’s a dummy. Liona scoops, but Bandido slips free to DROPKICK! Liona staggers, Bandido DROPKCIKS, and DROPKICKS, but then Liona SWATS Bandido! Liona drags Bandido over, tags Kaun, and the fans rally while GOA mugs Bandido. Kaun talks trash but Bandido kicks low. Bandido CHOPS, Kaun just smirks. Bandido CHOPS again, and again! Kaun CHOPS Bandido down! Kaun drags Bandido up to whip, but Bandido rolls over the dropdown. Kaun hurdles, hip toss, but Bandido handsprings through to whip and gorilla press! Much easier with Kaun than Liona!

Kaun still slips free and DECKS Bandido! The ref reprimands about the closed fist but Kaun whips Bandido to a corner. SPLASH and then RUNNING SUPLEX! Kaun mockingly applauds and the fans boo. Kaun has a cocky cover, ONE, but Kaun drags Bandido up. Kaun scoops to SLAM Bandido, then tags Liona. Liona stalks Bandido, Brody coaches Bandido up, but Liona scoops Bandido to SLAM! The fans rally but Liona looms over Bandido. Liona stands on Bandido’s hand! The ref reprimands, but Liona scoops and SLAMS Bandido again! Tag back to Kaun, Kaun mockingly applauds again, then he stomps Bandido.

Bandido crawls but Kaun stands him up to ROCK him! Tag to Liona, and Kaun stands Bandido up. They reel Bandido in to then DOUBLE- NO, Bandido pops free and hot tags Brody! The fans fire up as Brody now CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS! He DECKS Kaun, then kicks Liona’s leg out to ROCK, CHOP, and ROLLING ELBOW! The fans fire up while Ricochet claims, “If there’s anybody who can take that, it’s Toa!” Brody keeps after Kaun with a whip to the corner. Brody runs in, Kaun puts him on the apron, but Brody ROCKS Liona, then DECKS Kaun! Liona SUPERKICKS Brody, the fans boo, but Liona fireman’s carries!

The fans freak out, but Brody fights free! Brody ELBOWS Liona, then POSTS him! Liona slumps down, Brody BOOTS Kaun! Brody runs and LARIATS! Cover, TWO! The fans rally behind Brody as he drags Kaun back up. Brody suplexes Kaun onto the top rope, then he CHOPS! Brody climbs up, brings Kaun to the very top, but Kaun trips Brody up! Kaun ROCKS Brody and Brody is in the Tree of Woe! Liona RAMS Brody out of the Tree! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Liona climbs while Kaun gives Brody a BACKSTABBER! Liona BODY BLOWS, Brody sputters as he sits down, and Liona looms over him. Liona CHOKES Brody, mockingly applauds, but the ref counts. Liona steps off at 4, then tags Kaun back in. Liona digs his boot in, Kaun adds on, and Brody flops to the floor. Kaun mocks Brody, then goes out to STOMP him down! Kaun SHOVES Brody into railing, CHOPS him against them, then whips Brody into the apron! And then railing! Kaun mockingly applauds, then puts Brody back in the ring. Kaun pushes Brody to a cover, TWO!

Brody toughs it out but Kaun tags Liona. Liona stalks Brody, then steps between him and Bandido. Liona CHOPS Brody, but Brody CHOPS back! They CHOP back and forth, but then Liona throat chops! The ref reprimands, but Kaun taunts Bandido. That distracts the ref so Liona can CHOKE Brody! Brody sputters as Liona steps off, and Kaun gets a cheap shot in. Dynamite returns to single picture as Kaun tags in, and GOA hoist Brody up for a DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! Kaun SENTONS! Liona SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Brody is still in this and Ricochet is annoyed, but the fans rally up. Kaun scuffs Brody, then pie faces him.

Brody CHOPS! And CHOPS! Kaun kicks a leg out, fires fast hands, then stomps away! The ref backs Kaun off, but Kaun goes in for more! Kaun fires KNEE after KNEE, then Liona tags in. Liona has Kaun cool off, but then Kaun sucker punches Bandido! The fans boo but Kaun sends Liona in. Brody dodges and Liona hits buckles! Kaun runs up, but is sent into Liona! Brody then SPLASHES them both! Brody goes to his corner but Ricochet taunts him with how Bandido is still down! So Brody runs and CANNONBALLS Liona! The fans are thunderous as Bandido rises! Brody crawls his way over, hot tag to The Most Wanted!

The fans fire up as Bandido dodges Kaun, BOOTS Liona, then BOOTS Kaun! Bandido fires shots, but now he’s surrounded! Liona whips Bandido, but Bandido uses Liona as a pommel horse to BOOT Kaun! The fans fire up but Liona TOSSES Bandido to the corner. Lionia swings, Bandido bobs ‘n’ weaves, then jumps over the kick! Liona hits buckles, Bandido says HEY~ Macarena! AIGHT! Then he dodges Liona, Liona POSTS himself! Bandido DROPKICKS, and he sits Liona down! Bandido storms around and barks a la Brody! The fans fire up for that, and Bandido runs in, but Kaun ROCKS him first!

Kaun runs, but Bandido gorilla presses him again! And then THROWS him onto Liona! The fans are thunderous as Bandido drags Liona to a cover, TWO! Liona still has power to spare, and he looks for Kaun. Bandido deals the cards, but Kaun tags in! Liona’s too big for Blackjack 21, and Kaun CLUBS Bandido! Liona shoves Bandido down to HIP DROP! The fans boo but Liona whips so Kaun can reverse, Liona SPLASHES Bandido! Kaun LARIATS Bandido! GOA hoists Bandido up top, CHOPS, and they both climb up! The fans boo but Ricochet says they gotta hustle. That’s because Brody is back! He CLUBS GOA, lifts them, DOUBLE ELECTRIC CHAIR SLAM!!

The fans are thunderous again as Brody follows Liona out of the ring. Brody RAMS Liona into railing! Ricochet says that’s cheating! Brody barks, the fans join in, and Brody coordinates with Bandido! CROSSBODY but Liona catches him!? Meanwhile, Bandido’s FROG SPLASH FLOPS as Kaun moves! Liona FALL AWAY SLAMS Brody onto the timekeeper’s table! The ref checks on Brody, but that lets Ricochet hop off commentary! He has a chair! But now the ref spots Ricochet, and stops him! The fans cheer as the ref EJECTS Ricochet Kaun says Ricochet didn’t even do anything yet! Ricochet is furious, but then Bandido LOW BLOWS! Bandido rolls Kaun up, TWO!!

Alicia Atout is with Willow Nightingale, Holo.grm, Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong and brings up the challenge they issued to The Don Callis Family. They were to choose three members to face three members of The Conglomeration. We know now it is going to be Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero, and Briscoe says he “applauds” Don Callis! That is what he likes! Bring the big guns, bring the heavy hitters! Cuz we in Pittsburgh tonight, baby! The Steel City! Where they are known to be hardnosed, to be grinders! Tonight, Conglomeration is ’bout to whoop some Callis Family ass, guaranteed!

Well, speaking of the picks, we know Don’s three. But who is The Conglomeration’s third man tonight? Well, Alicia, sorry to tell you this, but the word of the day is mystery. It is a mystery partner, and no matter how hard you try to appeal, no matter how hard you try to squeeze the juicy information from him, Briscoe just cannot divulge the information. But he will say that he woke up this morning and said to himself, “Mark, orange ya glad ya have many a Conglomerators to choose from?” So he assures us this, the future is so bright, he might have to wear shades. Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Renee Paquette is with the NEW AEW Women’s World Champion, and then Harley Cameron pops up from behind to say, “SHEEEEE’S~ the Fantastic, Intergalactic, Star Fighting, Sky Lighting, Cosmic Killer THRILLER~! BIG STAT DADDY~, Kris Statlander!” Yes, thank you, Harley. But Kris, a huge congratulations, how are you feeling? Kris won’t lie, she feels pretty beat up, but she is also a fighting champion, so why waste any time? Yes, she certainly has her work cut out for her with the (Interim) ROH Women’s Television Champion, and close, personal friend of Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa. Kris loves Mina. But maybe not the same way Toni does…

But someone has to be Kris’ first, so let’s give the fans something they won’t ever forget. Renee says okay, but she does have to ask this… What is Kris’ association with The Death Riders? Kris hesitates, but she says, “Things can move really fast when you make decisions.” Harley says exactly! Just like how she’ll move really fast when she runs into Kris’ arms to celebrate tonight! STATLANDEEEER~! The Wild Aussie may not want to see it, but could The Galaxy’s Greatest already have a team backing her?

AEW World Championship: Hangman Page VS Lee Moriarty!

Even after All Out, The Cowboy is hungry for competition against young and hungry wrestlers! Pittsburgh’s very own #TAIGASTYLE gets the biggest opportunity of his young career, will he end up bringing the biggest prize home with him? Or will even the longest-reigning ROH Pure Champion of all time still be a step behind THE champion?

The introductions are made, “Pretty Platinum” is raised, and we see who shines brightest in Steel City!

The bell rings and the fans fire up already. Pitt cheers on “LEE! LEE! LEE!” Hangman offers a handshake, Lee accepts, and in essence, the Code of Honor is upheld. The two circle, feel things out, and tie up. Hangman wrenches Lee to a wristlock, Lee spins and squats a few times, to then use the British Escape. The fans applaud and even Hangman nods respect to that. They reset, circle, then knuckle lock. Lee slips around to spin Hangman for the headlock. Lee hits the takeover, Hangman headscissors, but Lee kips free. Hangman headlocks for the takeover but now Lee headscissors. Lee holds tight to keep Hangman down!

Hangman bridges up, Lee pushes up to put on more pressure, but Hangman moves around. Hangman powers free and the two stare down. The fans applaud as Hangman simply resets with Lee. They go again, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. Hangman powers Lee to a corner, but Lee powers Hangman back! They’re in a stalemate now, but Hangman bends Lee back! Lee drops but ONE as he bridges up! Hangman pushes that hand down, ONE as Lee gets the other arm up. Hangman tries again, but Lee bridges up and rises again! Hangman wrenches, Lee spins, and then Lee slips through to snapmare.

Hangman gets up to wrench already. Lee rolls, spins, handsprings, and he waistlocks to then spin and snapmare. But Hangman’s up to wrench again! They go to a corner, the ref calls the break, but Lee throws an elbow! The fans cheer and chant “PITTSBURGH S*IT!” Hangman frowns but he keeps his cool. Hangman and Lee reset, then Lee headlocks. Hangman powers up and out, but Lee RAMS him! Hangman rebounds to RUN Lee over! The fans are torn but things speed up. Lee hurdles, but Hangman sits Lee up, only for Lee to duck the sliding lariat. Lee runs up, Hangman ducks the roundhouse and back suplexes, only for Lee to land out!

Lee shoves Hangman, jumps, but into a scoop and SLAM! But Lee UP KICKS! Hangman LARIATS! The fans are torn again while Lee is down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Hangman stalks Lee to a corner, brings him around, and CHOPS! Lee sputters, goes to another corner, but Hangman CHOPS again! Hangman whips corner to corner, runs in, and LARIATS! Then short arm LARIATS! Hangman takes a moment to check his neck, then he stalks Lee to another corner. Hangman CHOPS, but then Lee shoves him! Hangman runs up but Lee ELBOWS! And clinches to BUCKLE SHOT! Both men are down, but then Lee springs up to JUMP STOMP Hangman! And again! And again! The ref counts, Lee steps off, and Lee gets Pittsburgh fired up. Lee then storms back up on Hangman to snapmare.

Lee runs to basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Lee clamps onto Hangman with a chinlock, then spins Hangman for a cravat and neck wrench. Lee even hooks a leg to hold Hangman in place. Hangman endures, fights up, only for Lee to reel him into a COBRA TWIST! Hangman still endures, even as Lee adds a chinbar. Dynamite returns to single picture as Hangman storms his way to the ROPEBREKA! Lee lets go in frustration but the fans rally. Lee CHOPS Hangman, the fans fire up, but Hangman DUMPS Lee to the apron! But Lee HOTSHOTS Hangman! Hangman staggers, clutches his neck, and Lee springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally up as Lee paces around. Lee stands Hangman up, kicks him, then kicks him again. Hangman scowls and gets in Lee’s face! Lee throws hands but Hangman fires counter punches! Hangman whips, and BACKDROPS! Lee tumbles, staggers up, and Hangman DECKS him! And DECKS him again! Then whips, but Lee reverses. Hangman reverses back to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman kips up, the fans fire up, and Hangman winds up, but Lee runs up! Hangman wrenches, DEATH VALLEY DRIVE! Cover, TWO! Lee survives but Hangman stays focused. The fans rally again as Hangman sits Lee up.

Lee JAWBREAKERS Hangman, but Hangman comes back. Lee dodges to ROCK Hangman! Hangman goes to a corner, Lee runs up to UPPERCUT! Lee runs corner to corner, Hangman follows, but Lee goes up to headscissor! Hangman blocks that to Alabama Lift! Lee clicks his heels and has Hangman in the IRON OCTOPUS! The fans fire up as Lee then rolls Hangman up, TWO! But into the BORDER CITY STRETCH!! The fans fire up as Lee pulls back on Hangman’s taped-up neck! Hangman pops around, rolls, and Alabama Lifts again! But Lee slips free! Hangman POINT-BLANK LARIATS! And then Alabama Lift, DEADEYE!! Cover, Hangman wins!

It was a battle worthy of this title, and The Cowboy stands tall! Will Lee find himself back in the world title scene in the near future? Who will be next to challenge Hangman for the gold?

AEW shares footage from after All Out.

Renee Paquette was hoping for any comments from Adam Copeland or Christian Cage after their big win was ruined by FTR and Nick Wayne. Cope storms in and Renee asks for an update on Beth, but Cope says he’s sorry, he just can’t right now. Cope then grabs up his luggage and Christian asks what’s wrong. Cope says he isn’t sure. But he knows he can’t keep doing this. It is affecting his family, and it’s not like this is the first time this has happened, he can’t keep doing this to Beth and the girls. He has to go. He doesn’t know if he’s coming back. Christian says he doesn’t really have a family anymore, so yeah, go take care of yours.

Cope says no, Christian does still have a family. Cope and Christian shake hands, and Cope heads out. Will the Rated R Superstar be able to set things right? Will there be any justice for what FTR did?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us back to Dynamite in Pittsburgh, and he brings up that All Out: Toronto, “one of the most despicable, underhanded things we’ve ever seen in AEW occurred.” Tony doesn’t know if these guys are about to apologize or explain themselves, but let’s bring out Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler & “Big Stoke,” FTR. The fans boo as Stokely Hathaway leads the #TopGuysOut to the ring. Schiavone says his opinion might mean nothing, but that was the worst thing he’s ever seen, and certainly in AEW! Cash takes the mic to say sorry, but he’d like to do this himself. The fans boo as Schiavone steps aside.

Cash says, “I get it. We deserve that. We do. We deserve every bit of that. The actions that happened at Saturday at All Out in Toronto have quite literally kept me up at night. I have tossed and I’ve turned, and I just can’t get it out of my head. That was not supposed to happen, that was not our intent. Our intentions were to beat and end Cope & Christian, let them ride off into the sunset, and let them enjoy retirement, while we focused on what we rightfully deserve: The AEW World Tag Team titles. But Adam Copeland couldn’t have that. Adam Copeland couldn’t stand that! So what does he do? Adam Copeland brings his so-called childhood best friend into this!

“He brings his wife, the mother of his children, he brings his wife into our business. There is one person to blame! And Adam, it’s you! You might as well have dropped her on her Microbrawler head yourself!” The fans boo and tell Cash to STFU, but now Stokely takes the mic. “I forgive Beth for what she did to me at All Out!” The fans boo but Stokely claims that after church on Sunday, all three of them had a discussion, and he’ll tell us the same things he told them. Stokely wasn’t running up the rank to attack Beth, he was running to introduce himself. And instead of a handshake, he received a SPEAR! And truth be told, it didn’t even hurt!

Stoke claims he was gonna kip up, but then Beth dragged him to the back! “They say that chivalry is dead, but I allowed that woman to spear me! She knows it, Adam knows it, Christian knows it, they NEEDED Beth to win! They needed Beth to level up because FTR is the greatest tag team of all time!” The fans boo that, but Stoke says the worst thing about it is, that BIT- er, Beth doesn’t even work here. Dax takes his turn, and he says he was “advised” to come out here live on worldwide TV and sincerely apologize for his actions. Dax will NOT apologize for dropping Adam Copeland on his frail neck. He will NOT apologize for dropping Christian Cage on his CTE-riddled brain.

However, Dax wants to talk to Beth. He hopes Beth knows that over all the years that they’ve been friends, he would never purposefully hurt her. He watched Beth attack his best friend, and as he tried to intervene and talk some sense into her, she punched him in his already broken nose! That watered his eyes, and when she attacked him next, he mistook her for Cope! So he picked Beth up, Cash leapt, and they hit her with the driver by accident. Dax learned a lesson, and he hopes Beth did, too. Dax would never put his hands on a woman like that, and with Beth, he does use the term “woman” very loosely.

So from now on- WAIT! Willow Nightingale is here! Dax say she wasn’t finished, but The Babe with the Power has a mic as she heads to the ring. Everyone remembers the beef between her and Stoke, and she says, “That was… That was a great apology. I think if you wrestled as good as you lied, you would’ve won last week. But I’m not really here to talk about you guys necessarily, I’m not even here to talk about me. I’m here to talk about an inspiration, a Hall of Famer! I’m here to talk about Beth Copeland!” The fans cheer that! Willow says women like Beth inspired us all! And what they did for this business… Women like Beth are why Willow became a wrestler at all.

Women like Beth are why Willow would go to these little shows all across the country, even when she didn’t know how she’d get home. Women like Beth are the reason Willow could come back from a broken freakin’ neck to become All Elite! Then she could do things like main event shows, win The Owen, and win the TBS Championship. Women like Beth are the reason women like Willow don’t take s*it from guys like FTR! The fans cheer that! So if these boys wanna try that apology a bit more sincerely, look to the camera and give it a go. Or else, get outta the ring. Stokely says, “Y’know what, Willow? It is either 9PM or past that, but I believe it is past your bedtime.”

The fans boo but Stoke says there are some episodes of The Proud Family she can watch to help put her to sleep, unless we have a problem. Willow SLAPS Stokely, there’s the problem! FTR warns Willow, but then here comes JetSpeed! They back Willow up on this, but FTR backs down. To then try a sucker punch! But Speedball THRUST KICKS Dax first! And Knight DROPKICKS Cash! Big Stoke is all alone, but then FTR drags him outta the ring! The Top Guys are in retreat, but will Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey make sure FTR eats their words?

MJF sat in the back and once again vented his frustrations. “I’m so angry right now, that I just do not have the energy to yell anymore. Y’know, I was once not long ago the biggest star in professional wrestling. The most talked about name. It didn’t matter what show you were watching, my three letters were on signs and being chanted out loud around the world. I was the guy! Then Adam Cole came into my life. Broke his ankle, and yes, this might sound sappy, but he broke my heart. Then I lost my world title at Worlds End, I lost my mojo, I lost everything. Went away for awhile rehabbing, and then I came back.

“And don’t get me wrong, I’m not an idiot, okay? I have managed to accomplish more than anybody in this sport could dream of during this timeframe. But something’s missing. I’m not MJF. I’m a caricature, I’m playing MJF. Since I’ve lost my title, I’ve made so many mistakes forcing myself just to snap out of it. And all the while, I’ve created doubt after doubt after doubt after doubt. See these tacks all over my body? They aren’t tacks, they’re doubts. I cannot come back until I look in the mirror and no longer see a fraud, but I see a man who was once at the top of this profession.

“Let’s face it, folks: Ospreay, Swerve, Hangman, you can *** yourself all you want, but they were once in MY dust! And now I’m in theirs. When I come back, I will no longer be ‘playing’ MJF. Hell, I won’t even be the MJF of old. No, no, I will not come back until I am the most dangerous I have ever been. I will lap around everyone in this company, everyone in this profession. Briscoe dodges Okada, wrenches and UPPERCUTS! Hechi storms up but into an UPPERCUT! Konosuke waistlocks, Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Okada stands, Briscoe LARIATS him up and out! Hologram runs up and RAMS Hechi. Hologram keeps moving, but Hechi follows to STEP-UP KNEE in the corner! Hechi scoops Hologram to then swing and POWERSLAM! Hechi drags Hologram up and over, tags Konosuke, and they mug Hologram. Konosuke clamps onto Hologram’s arm, keeps him from his corner, and then grinds him to the mat. Okada brings Hologram around to scoop and SLAM! Then he “welcomes” his old friends, Briscoe & Cassidy, but Briscoe says don’t trust that snake!

Okada BLASTS Briscoe and Cassidy! The ref reprimands, but he also has to keep Briscoe back. This lets Konosuke send Hologram into the desk! Hechi BLASTS Briscoe! Callis gets cheap shots in on Hologram! Cassidy storms up, the ref keeps him back, and Konosuke puts Hologram in. Okada covers, TWO! Tag to Hechi and he drags Hologram up to wrench, pump handle, and PUMP HANDLE PLEX! Cover, TWO! Hologram toughs it out but Hechi wants a faster count. Hechi drags Hologram up, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Hechi whips Hologram but he slips to the outside! Then he slingshots over!

Hologram comes back but Hechi kicks the legs! Hechi whips, then SLINGBLADES at the ropes, only for Hologram to HOTSHOT Hechi! Hechi tumbles, Hologram crawls, and the fans rally. But Hechi goes around the outside to slingshot and ELBOW DROP! The fans boo but Hechi sits Hologram up. Hologram stands to fire haymakers! But Hechi fireman’s carries! But Hologram swings through to RANA Hechi away! Konosuke tags in and waistlocks! BIG back suplex , but Hologram lands out! Hologram runs and flips to RANA! Okada tags in and he BLASTS Cassidy & Briscoe! The fans boo but Okada grins.

Okada GERMAN SUPLEXES, but Hologram lands out! He dodges Okada, hot tag to Briscoe! Briscoe dodges to CHOP, ROCK, and repeat! Briscoe whips, Okada reverses, but Briscoe FLYING FOREARMS! The fans fire up with Briscoe and he runs up to LARIAT in the corner! Okada fights the clinch, runs, but Briscoe ROCKS Okada! Briscoe reels Okada in, hooks a leg, and FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO! Okada survives that but Briscoe keeps the energy going! Okada goes to a corner, Briscoe runs in, but Okada BOOTS him away! But Briscoe LARIATS in return! The fans fire up while both men are down!

Renee is with the Fighting Gravure Idol and says tonight is a huge main event match as she takes on Kris Statlander for THE AEW Women’s World Championship. Those are big career stakes, but there are some personal ones, too. Mina says since Saturday, she has not heard from Toni Storm, and is worried. But they promised to each other that they love hurt and they fight hurt. Even when Mina faced Toni, Toni wanted Mina’s best. And tonight, Kris, you get all of Mina. She fights for Toni, for Mina, for ROH, and to be AEW Women’s World Champion! MWAH MWAH! Will the next double champion in wrestling be #MinaNow?

The bell rings and the hands fly! Hobbs has Claudio in the corner as he fires off more forearms! The fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” but the ref counts. MEAT!” Neither man backs down as the shots keep going! Both men hit harder, then they pick up speed! Claudio fires a flurry of UPPERCUTS, and the fans cheer as both men finally catch their breath. Claudio then runs, but Hobbs scoops and SLAMS him! The fans fire up as Hobbs then brings Claudio up again, scoop and SLAM!

Claudio staggers up, Hobbs scoops again for another SLAM! Then another scoop, only for Claudio to slip free and CHOPS Hobbs’ back! Hobbs just grins, only for Claudio to hit a BIG back suplex! But then Hobbs is right up!? The fans fire up and Hobbs scoops Claudio to SLAM him again! And scoop SLAM again! Hobbs roars, the fans fire up, and Hobbs scoops for another SLAM! The fans fire up while Hobbs paces, and he just scoops again! Claudio slips free to have a SLEEPER! Hobbs endures, powers up and goes to the ropes, and they both fall to the floor! The fans cheer while both men sit up in front of commentary.

Claudio storms up but Hobbs fires a forearm! Claudio returns fire, then Hobbs fires HEADBUTT after HEADBUTT! Claudio slumps against the steel steps and the fans fire up again! Hobbs runs up, but Claudio dodges, Hobbs CRASHES into the steps! Hobbs is down in a heap but Claudio hurries to drag him up. Claudio brings Hobbs over, BARRIER BACK SUPLEX! Hobbs flops into the front row and the fans fire up again! Claudio goes out after Hobbs, to BARRIER BACK SUPLEX again! Hobbs flops back down, Claudio snarls as he storms back up, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Claudio drags Hobbs up, brings him around, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Claudio shoves Hobbs into the ring, takes a moment to stretch out his own back, and then he storms into the ring. Claudio UPPERCUTS Hobbs, but Hobbs fires a haymaker! Claudio UPPERCUTS again, Hobbs hits back again, but then Claudio fires off body shots! Claudio then CHOKES Hobbs on the ropes! The ref counts, Claudio steps off, and he snarls as he brings Hobbs from the ropes. Claudio then stomps Hobbs down! Claudio drags Hobbs around again, and clamps on with a chinlock stretch! Hobbs endures, pries at the grip, then rises up.

Claudio HIP DROPS Hobbs back down! And DOUBLE STOMPS him on the back! Hobbs writhes, but Claudio drags him back into the chinlock stretch. Hobbs endures all over again as Claudio sits on him. Hobbs reaches out, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Hobbs rises again! The fans rally as Hobbs has Claudio as a backpack! But Claudio CLAWS the eyes, and GUT WRENCH PLEXES! Cover, TWO! Hobbs is tougher than that, but Claudio kicks him around. Claudio eggs Hobbs on, scuffs him, but Hobbs frowns. Claudio fires a forearm, and another forearm, but Hobbs just stands up! Claudio fires UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT, then roars, but Hobbs blocks the uppercut to then fire a flurry of forearms! The fans cheer as Hobbs ROCKS Claudio! Hobbs runs and SPLASHES, then he whips to LARIAT in the other corner! And whip back the other way, but Claudio dodges! UPPERCUT! Claudio puts Hobbs up top, SHORYUKEN! Claudio climbs up, and he SUPERPLEXES! Cover, TWO! Hobbs survives and Claudio is annoyed. Claudio drags Hobbs up, UPPERCUTS again, then ELBOWS! And UPPERCUTS! And ELBOWS! Claudio reels Hobbs in, stares Bryan Danielson down, but Hobbs BACKDROPS!

The Cowboy isn’t done with The Death Riders, either! He DUMPS Claudio out, then dodges Garcia to BOOT him!

Hangman LARIATS Garcia right outta the ring! The fans fire up as The Opps are truly never lacking! Shibata may be healing up, but Hangman has their back! Will the AEW World Champion and AEW World Trios Champions finally but Moxley’s minions in their place? Or is this the foot in the door The Death Riders need to get back everything they’ve lost?

Tony Khan has an important announcement!

The Founder, President & CEO of AEW is here and he says it has been such a great year for AEW already, he has big news. AEW has some of the best wrestlers in the world, it is where the best wrestle, and he is so proud of how strong the AEW Women’s Division has been in 2025. That means it is time to introduce NEW championships into the division! This year, for the first time ever, AEW will crown the inaugural AEW Women’s WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! With that, here are the new belts! Renee is on the scene with the pedestal and the veil! Renee says this is so exciting, and these belts have been in demand for so long. Who wants to see ’em?

The fans cheer, and Renee pulls away the veil to reveal! They’re not too different from the Men’s World Tag Team Championships, but what is more exciting is that very soon, a team will be crowned the inaugural champions! Who will rise above the rest to stand atop the new summit?

After coming to The Mad King’s rescue at All Out, the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil returns to action as Hook & Eddie Kingston team up against “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith! Then, just as Jerry Lynn told them to, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster will be teaming up in order to settle things with Blake Christian & Lee Johnson. Will they be The Acclaimed once again? Bryan Danielson says Kris might do that move better than Wheeler Yuta! And then speaking of Yuta, he returns to celebrate! His move has been the one winning this for Kris, but Harley Cameron steps in. Harley hugs Kris, but then the Death Riders return. Claudio, Pac & Garcia flank the ring while Yuta applauds, and then here come Moxley & Marina! The fans boo and Kris shields Harley while The Maniac steps into the ring. Moxley looks at Kris, then at Yuta, and Yuta HUGS Kris! Are they saying Kris is a Death Rider? The fans boo as Kris actually hugs back! Moxley nods, and Yuta raises Kris’ hand! “That’s our champion right there!”

Harley shakes her head. She is just as upset and confused as the fans, but this can’t be real, can it? Kris LARIATS Yuta!! Kris is NOT a Death Rider, she’s her own damn woman!! Moxley told her not to let anyone else define her, and turns out, that goes for Moxley, too! Marina storms in, but Kris dodges to then FLIP MOXLEY OFF! Kris & Harley bail out, they go into the crowd, and the fans cheer! And here comes Darby! The fans cheer as the Relentless One is far from through with Moxley, and he has A FLAMETHROWER! As if he didn’t make it clear on Saturday that he wants Moxley to burn, he’s just turned up the heat!

The Death Riders hesitate seeing the flames, but Moxley dares Darby to try it! HE DOES! The Death Riders almost fall over each other! They retreat as Darby lets the pillar of fire burn into the sky! Darby has a mic to shout at Moxley! “When are you gonna realize I’m never gonna quit? Jon Moxley, WrestleDream, I QUIT MATCH!!” Darby’s always said that nothing’s done until he’s six feet under, but will he make this more about ashes to ashes? And then BREAKING NEWS from TK: The Sixth Anniversary just got a little bit bigger as Darby Allin will team with Kris Statlander against Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir in a Mixed TORNADO TAG!

The flamethrower truly has turned up the heat, but will The Relentless & The Greatest burn it down in Hollywood, Florida?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for Dynamite, especially when it is the follow-up to All Out as well as the pivot towards the anniversary show and WrestleDream. At the same time, this feels like typical Tony Khan booking to throw title matches on just to get hype when we know titles weren’t changing hands. Brodido VS GOA was a great match, and Ricochet getting caught so blatantly was a bit dumb. Great promo from Hangman to set up his match with Lee, and great match with Lee, and I really like that for a second there, Hangman was working to match technical style with Lee. But again, Hangman was of course winning, this was just to give Lee an awesome showing in his hometown.

Hangman then clearly subs in for Shibata in the Six Man Tag for the anniversary show. Hobbs VS Claudio was an awesome match but ugh, of course Death Riders cheat things for each other. And they’ll probably try it again next week since Pac is left to be a cornerman. Kris VS Mina was a great match, and while Kris of course retains, I absolutely loved the swerve at the end. Kris refuses to join Death Riders, and then Darby shows up to set up an I Quit Match instead of an Inferno match like I thought. Though I’m pretty sure Darby will try and burn Moxley. The Mixed Tag will be awesome, and I would think Darby & Kris win.

Great promo from MJF to help explain away his absence while he films more movies. Very good promo from C&C to establish Cope being away for a bit, perhaps helping extend things with FTR towards WrestleDream or beyond. Good promo from FTR, but Willow & JetSpeed confronting them helped save it from being the usual FTR shtick. JetSpeed VS FTR will be great stuff to bide time before we get another match of C&C VS FTR. Great vignette from Jack Perry, but this all just reiterates how TK didn’t really address the “Luchasaurus has to break away from The Not Patriarchy” all that well. But it looks like Jack is keeping his Scapegoat persona, so maybe they change up the theme song just a touch to match who he and Luchasaurus are now as opposed to back then?

Great promo from Briscoe to all but say it was Orange Cassidy, and Cassidy “ruining” whatever painting Callis had was a great way for him to first appear on our screen. His tron being the parody of a “blue screen of death” was neat, too, and I almost thought CLØN was showing up tonight. But great win for Conglomeration that then branched into Kyle challenging Hologram for a TNT Championship match. Though in another typical AEW/Tony Khan move, Kyle VS Komander is obviously going to be Kyle’s win. It might be Kyle’s last win as champion so that Hologram can win the title and keep his streak. Unless that is when CLØN shows up and ruins things for Hologram…

And while the belts themselves aren’t very creative, looking exactly like the male counterparts, at least AEW is moving forward with a Women’s Tag Division. Granted, part of me wanted this to be the Women’s Continental Championship so that we can get a Women’s Continental Classic, but I suppose things need to go in a certain order. Though I hope they get that tag title tournament going as soon, ROH is still waiting on the Women’s Pure Championship from May…
