For the first time in years, NXT returns to Full Sail University! And with it, so have some “alumni,” like Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Lyra Valkyria!

Full Sail erupts as The Game returns to where it all began! HHH gets the mic, and he says, “I cannot tell you how good it feels to come home.” The fans chant, “Welcome Home! Welcome Home!” HHH says these three letters, NXT, are something special. This place, this building, this room, is something special. For every talent that walked out of that, uh, video board… HHH was going to say curtain, but they really isn’t one. But his point, every talent, every production person, every staff member, every crew member, every kid that went to Full Sail University and was part of the process, all of you are special.
One fans shouts, “WE LOVE YOU, TRIPS!” HHH smiles, and he says hold on, he wants to make his point. What is really special about this is all the fans. All the fans in this building, all the fans watching around the world, you are special. You are why this is here, you are why NXT is stronger than ever. “All of you took something that started as a whisper, just a little tiny whisper quietly going along, and you turned it into an undeniable roar!” The fans cheer, and they chant for “N X T! N X T!” HHH says the fans’ passion for this, as well as the talent that came here, who did this for nothing more than their passion, turned this into a roar.
Everyone’s passion shattered conventions and allowed NXT to take over. The fans cheer that! So it is their moment. The fans are the ones that said, “NXT is the future!” The fans are the ones that said, “The future is now!” The fans are the ones that stood up on their feet, and shouted at the top of your lungs, “WE! ARE! NXT!” HHH wishes to come out here now and stand up for them to say, “Thank you.” The fans cheer again, but wait! Shawn Michaels makes his way out here! The fans sing along with the song as HBK walks to the ring. HBK says thank you, and as he came walking out of the video board, they are all thrilled to have HHH here for Homecoming.
Now, HHH is so busy selling out the million dollar gates, making multi-billion dollar deals, which WWE is all thankful for, but HBK says he and NXT are ready to steer the ship into the future. And HHH has to add, HBK and his team, they knocked it outta the park. NXT is the best thing on CW, they are lighting the world on fire, and… The fans chant, “Thank You, Shawn!” HHH agrees, thank you, Shawn. But… What if HHH said he wanted to come back? HBK is rather stunned, and HBK says he didn’t want this to get all uncomfortable, because then they’d have a very, very big problem. Oh…? WAIT! WILLIAM REGAL IS HERE!
The fans cheer as the former NXT General Manager is here, mic in hand, and he says, “Gentlemen, please. I know how to settle this. There’s only one way.” The fans are already saying it, but Regal says, “Do you mind? That’s my thing. Pretend you didn’t do that, let’s take it off the edits… WARGAMES!!” The fans are going nuts already! And then Charlotte Flair makes her way out here! The former TWO-TIME NXT Women’s Champion, one of the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and The Queen has come home to NXT, but of course she is not alone! Alexa Bliss makes her entrance, and these “not friends” have mics, too.
The fans welcome them home, too, and Alexa says, “Wow, Charlotte. I think they argue more than we do.” Charlotte says they don’t argue, they’re besties now. And yes, she said it. But respectfully to HBK or HHH, it doesn’t matter who is in charge, because the WOMEN have always run NXT! This is where the Women’s Revolution started! The fans cheer “Women’s Wrestling!” Charlotte says yes, but she has to say the names: The Four Horsewomen! Paige! Asuka! Carmella! Alexa Bliss! Alexa adds, “Charlotte Flair.” But there are so many names! Rhea, Iyo, Ember Moon, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, they could go on forever but… They have their tag team title match.
But the point is, the women have always been the backbone of NXT, and that’s never gonna change. And if you aren’t down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! “SUCK IT!” HHH & HBK can respect that. But will #Charlexa be able to stay golden through the homecoming? Or will everyone be having a #Tizzi?
Speaking of #Tizzi, The Culling heads to gorilla, and Lyra Valkyria walks over to say hi to Tatum. Tatum is so excited to see her “sweet dove” again, they hug it out, and Izzi gets Tatum to focus. Will The Culling remove the weakness from the women’s tag team champions?

NXT returns and The Culling makes their entrance, the ladies leading the way. The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who can endure the painful truth!
The teams stare down, realizing they’re like bizzarro world versions of each other. The teams sort out, and Alexa starts against Tatum, with Alexa holding onto Lily while Tatum has her Izzi style Barbie. The fans cheer as these two step up to each other, and the ref says they gotta put the dolls away. Both quickly look over at him, but then they back away to give the dolls over to their teammates. Tatum and Alexa circle, the fans rally up, and they tie up. They go around, Tatum THROWS Alexa by her hair, and Izzi applauds. “That’s my girl!” But Alexa gets up in a huff. Alexa and Tatum run up, Tatum goes Matrix but Alexa goes Spider-Woman in the ropes.
The fans cheer as the two smile at each other, then Tatum runs up, only for Alexa to CROSSBODY! Cover, TOW, and then the two run up! Alexa clinches, Tatum gets free, and the fans applaud. Alexa smiles and she might be creeping Tatum out. Alexa WRINGS Tatum’s arm, but Tatum handsprings through! The fans cheer, things speed up, and Alexa tilt-o-whirls to RANA! Tatum flounders, tag to Izzi and tag to Charlotte. The fans “WOO~” as Izzi and Charlotte circle. The fans rally behind Charlotte, and she surprisingly offers a handshake. Izzi SLAPS it away! The fans boo that, but then Charlotte dodges the lariat to CHOP!
Izzi kicks low, then bumps Charlotte off buckles. Izzi bumps Charlotte off buckles again, only for Charlotte to give that back! And a GAMANGIRI! And a CHOP! The fans “WOO” again and Charlotte storms up, but into a JAWBREAKER! Izzi scoops, Charlotte slips free, and she CHOP BLOCKS Izzi! The fans cheer, Tatum runs in, but Alexa intercepts with a drop toehold! #Charlexa then runs to BLOCKBUSTER and NATURAL SELECTION! #Tizzi flounders away, Culling regroups, and NXT goes to break.
NXT returns and Tatum brings Charlotte up, but Charlotte breaks free. Tatum KNEE SMASHES first! Tag to Izzi and they double whip. Charlotte KICKS Izzi, TOSSES Tatum, then BOOTS Izzi! Izzi runs back up, but inot a CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! Tatum returns but Charlotte CHOPS her, too! CHOP for Izzi! CHOP for Tatum! And repeat! And repeat! Tatum falls, but Izzi BOOTS Charlotte! Tatum ENZIGIRIS! Izzi hits the FLYING CODE BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Charlotte survives and Izzi is shocked! “This is Awesome!” and Izzi pushes Charlotte around. Izzi taunts Charlotte, SMACKS her off the mat, then talks trash.
Izzi drags Charlotte up, pie faces her, and fans rally up. Charlotte snarls, Izzi SLAPS her, so Charlotte SLAPS back! Izzi shoves, Charlotte rebounds, and DOUBLE BOOTS take them both down! The fans fire up as both women crawl, hot tags to Tatum and Alexa! The fans fire up as Alexa RUNS Tatum over! And RUNS her over again! SHOTGUN! Then she wrenches and SLAPS, ROCKS, and KNEES Tatum! SHOTGUN again! the fans fire up for Alexa and she runs, BLOCKBUSTER again! Cover, TWO! Alexa is frustrated but she sees Tatum in the corner. Alexa runs up, Tatum ELBOWS her away!
Tatum runs up, but Alexa grabs her by the neck! STO! Alexa goes up the corner, but Izzi hurries over! Alexa BOOTS Izzi down, but Niko gets on the apron! Charlotte YANKS him down! Spears shouts at Alexa, but she still goes TWISTED BLISS! But onto knees! Cover, with feet on the ropes! TWO!! Alexa survives and Tatum is shocked! Tatum DECKS Charlotte, but Charlotte wants in! Izzi ROCKS Alexa! Tatum takes Alexa on a CEMETERY DRIVE!! Cover, but Charlotte barrels in and breaks it! Izzi ROCKS Charlotte! Charlotte TOSSES Izzi! Tatum goes up, 450- NO, she has to bail out! Zaria says they could’ve been in that match, but Sol Ruca hit her with the Soul Snatcher. Sol says she already apologized, it was a mistake! Zaria says Sol is the best pure athlete here, and she claims she couldn’t stop herself? Oh, right, stop mid flip in the air! But Zaria can’t do the same when going for a spear? But in steps Lainey Reid. And she tells Sol that she needs to not distract herself with this, and instead focus on her opponent for No Mercy. Because next week, after Lainey beats Candice LeRae wins the Speed tournament- Candice interrupts and says, “Oh, to be so young and foolish. You (Lainey) can’t beat me, and you (Sol) can go ahead and polish my Speed title up for me.”
Sol tells The Poison Pixie that’s a no. Shayna Baszler shouts “ENOUGH!” Lainey and Candice bail, and the Queen of Spades says to save that energy. Shayna notes Sol is the Double Champ here. But Shayna held gold longer than any woman has in NXT. So take her advice and figure out how to fix this ZaRuca thing. She was a tag champ, too, and had her share of tag partners, so she gets it. But they have… Well, Shayna remembers this feeling. Just apologize, and they’ll get everything they want, okay? Shayna leaves, Sol and Zaria say they’re good now. But will The Soul Surfer & The Agent of Change be able to turn the tide?
Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes VS #DIY!
Two teams, two duos of friends with a lot of beef between each other, are now looking to prove who were really the best to ever enter NXT. Trick grabs a mic to have them cut the music, and he says, “One thing for sure, two things for certain, that’s all it is…” “And that’s all it’s gone be.” Because Melo makes his entrance next! His tron has an image of a DIY jersey burning, and the fans cheer on “MEL~O! MEL~O!” Will NXT still belong to Trick Melo Gang? Or can Johnny Wrestling & The Blackhearted take down the #TrickNA Champion and H1M?
Ciampa and Gargano enter separately, so that they can use their old NXT theme songs! Time to see if no one will survive this rebel heart! The teams sort out, Gargano starts against Melo, and they tie up. Gargano headlocks, Melo powers up and out, then hurdles, rolls, and swings. Gargano rolls Melo for the- NO, Melo ducks the Schoolboy Kick, but then Gargano avoids the Eddy Gordo Kick! The fans fire up as these two reset. Melo kicks low, tags Trick, and they double whip Gargano. Trick DROPKICKS, then he scoops Gargano. Gargano slips free, tag to Ciampa! Ciampa dodges the leg lariat, then hits a THESZ PRESS!
Ciampa rains down fast hands, but Trick gets free and runs up. Ciampa TOSSES Trick out, Melo runs up, but Ciampa TOSSE him, too! Gargano SUPERKICKS Melo, Ciampa KNEES Trick! Gargano then builds speed and he DIVES! Direct hit onto Trick Melo Gang and they hit the desk! The fans fire up as DIY sits on the desk to clap and pat themselves on the back! Gargano & Ciampa are in control while NXT goes to break.
NXT returns and Trick EDDY GORDO KICKS Ciampa! Trick fireman’s carries, but Ciampa slips free to REVERSE DDT! Both men are down, the fans fire up, and we get hot tags to Melo and Gargano! Gargano CLOBBERS Melo, CLOBBERS him again, then ENZIGIRIS Trick! And KNEES to Melo! KNEES to Trick! BULLDOG LARIAT COMBO! The fans fire up with Gargano, and he sees Melo on the ramp. SLINGSHOT- NO, Melo blocks the spear! Mule kick, and then a FADE AWAY- NO, Gargano dodges! Melo runs up, Gargano dodges again, but Melo somersaults into the ring! Gargano SLINGSHOT SPEARS! Cover, TWO!
The fans fire up and Gargano brings Melo up. “This is Awesome!” as Gargano tags Ciampa. Ciampa back suplexes, Melo lands out, and Melo waistlocks. Ciampa switches, but Melo avoids the superkick! Ciampa catches it in time, DIY cools off, but Trick tags in! LEG LARIAT after LEGT LARIAT! Then a CYCLONE KICK for Ciampa! FLAPJACK for Gargano! Trick kips up, POP-UP UPPERCUT to Ciampa! Trick loads up, but Melo tags in! Same ol’ Melo! Tilt-o-whirl and LA MYSTICA! The fans cheer Melo but Melo says he’s just messing around. Trick shakes hands with Melo, but then scowls! Melo senses it, but then Trick LARIAT Gargano!
Ciampa runs up, Trick sends him to a corner! Electric Chair Lift! FADE AWAY DOOMSDAY! Cover, GARGANO BREAKS IT! The fans fire up as all four men are down! Trick and Gargano rise up, brawl, and Gargano ducks a kick to SUPERKICK! Melo hits the FIRST 48 on Gargano! PSYCHO KNEE from Ciampa! Ciampa reels Melo in, Melo slips free, but then Ciampa gets him right back up, PROJECT CIAMPA!! Cover, TWO?!? Melo survives and shocks Ciampa! The fans hope these teams “FIGHT FOREVER!” But Trick has the TNA title belt! The ref takes that, Ciampa rolls Trick and reels him in, FAIRYTALE ENDING!
Tag to Gargano and DIY sets up in the corner! The fans fire up but Melo BARRELS Trick outta the way! Melo eggs DIY on, and he fires off haymakers and CHOPS! Then he ducks ‘n’ dodges, but into the SHATTER MACHINE!! Say yeah for The Revival! And then DIY will MEET IN THE MIDDLE!! Cover, TRICK BREAKS IT! But Ciampa ROCKS Trick! Gargano runs up, Trick TOSSES him out! Ciampa and Trick brawl, and Trick gets the edge! Ciampa and Trick scrap all the way out of the ring, BUT WAIT! The Miz hits Gargano with a SKULL CRUSHING FINALE to the floor!! Miz puts Gargano in for Melo! And Trick sends Ciampa into steel steps!

It’s a huge upset, but mostly because everyone is upset The Hollywood A-Lister, who was only ever a coach in NXT, felt the need to help H1M win! But will there be no denying Melo as he heads for the United States Championship this Friday?
Backstage interview with Sami Zayn.
Well speaking of the United States Champion, he is with Kelly Kincaid, and she asks how it feels to be back. He says it is really emotional. He got so many memories just walking in the door. The first would be his NXT Championship match right here in Full Sail. It reminds him of that time, so many superstars with so many potential, and that’s still the same here today. Anyone in particular? Yes, actually. One particular superstar reminds Sami of himself. And clearly Ava Raine sees it to, it’s Je’Von Evans. But in steps Josh Briggs, saying that Ava is wrong, Sami is wrong, and they’re all wasting on Je’Von, who is just a kid who hasn’t done a thing in NXT!
JE’VON JUMPS IN AND ATTACKS BRIGGS! Security rushes in and separates these two! Sami has Je’Von cool down and forget about that guy. Sami says he came all the way here to talk to Je’Von. Je’Von has something that no one can teach: heart! Je’Von has a big future in front of him, and Sami knows that for guys like them, it doesn’t come easy. But at the same time, sky’s the limit. Je’Von, the SKY is the limit! Good luck out there. Sami and the Young OG shake on it, but will Je’Von get past big bully Briggs so that he can reach those heights?

There’s a lot of ego in this match as the Egomaniac and self-proclaimed Greatest North American Wrestler defends this title against an NXT OG! Will Tyler finally have a singles title in his ensemble? Or will Ethan steal Tyler’s smile?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see whose ego is the strongest of all!
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Ethan headlocks, but Tyler powers up and out. Ethan RUNS Tyler over, the fans boo, but Ethan mocks Tyler’s lounging on the top rope. The two reset, tie up, and Ethan headlocks. Tyler powers up and out, but Ethan RUNS Tyler over again! Ethan talks trash, then runs, but Tyler drops down then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as Tyler shows Ethan how it’s done! Ethan seethes, storms up, but Tyler fakes a superkick! Then Tyler mule kicks, dropkicks the legs out, and he brings Ethan up to whip. Ethan reverses, Tyler goes up and over, but Ethan dodges in return. Ethan DECKS Tyler!
The fans boo as Ethan talks trash, “You happy to be home now? HUH?!” Ethan talks more trash while NXT goes picture in picture.
Ethan stands Tyler up, ROCKS him with another right hand, then puts him in a corner. Ethan fires body shots, then ROCKS Tyler again. Tyler staggers to another corner, but Ethan bumps Tyler off his boot. Ethan CLUBS Tyler down, then looms over him. Ethan sits Tyler up just to CLUB him down again, then he soaks up heat. Ethan brings Tyler up, KNEE SMASHES him, then puts him on the ropes to CHOKE! The ref counts, Ethan steps off, and Tyler goes to a corner again. Ethan storms up to ELBOW Tyler! And ELBOW him again! Ethan ROCKS Tyler, ROCKS him again, then brings him around to bump him off his boot again!
Tyler sputters, Ethan warns the ref about the counting, then stands Tyler up. Ethan ROCKS Tyler again, then again! And again! Ethan runs, but Tyler dodges! Ethan tumbles out to the floor! Ethan hurries back in, but Tyler rallies with forearms! Tyler then ROCKS Ethan in the corner! Tyler keeps moving, but Ethan LARIATS him down! Cover, TWO! Ethan rains down fists on Tyler! Ethan stops to tell fans to shut it! Ethan then waits on Tyler to rise. Ethan runs in, and he BOOTS Tyler back down! Cover, TWO! Ethan snarls, talks trash on the fans, then goes back to Tyler. Ethan sits Tyler up, runs, and BOOTS him down again!
Ethan paces, stands Tyler up, and brings him around as NXT returns to single picture. The fans rally for Tyler but Ethan smiles. Ethan reels Tyler in for TWISTED- NO, Tyler powers out! Tyler fireman’s carries, Ethan ELBOWS free, and Ethan Canadian Racks! Tyler slips free to PELE! Tyler whips, Ethan reverses, but Tyler FLYING FOREARMS! Tyler tumbles to the ramp, then GAMANGIRIS! Ethan slides under, but Ethan sits on the sunset! But his hands are on the ropes! The ref sees that, Ethan lets go, but that lets Tyler continue the sunset! TWO! Ethan is up, but Tyler RANAS! And cover! TWO!! SUPERKICK from Ethan! CONFIDENCE BREAKER!
Then the Canadian Rack, EGO’S EDGE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Tyler survives and Ethan is livid! Ethan drags Tyler, puts him in a corner, and then wants to make sure Dr. Wagner III, who is sitting in the front row, sees all of this! Ethan ROCKS Tyler, ROCKS him again, but Tyler kicks the legs in return! Ethan hobbles, Tyler trips him, and Tyler goes to the corner. Tyler SLAMS Ethan’s leg against the post! The fans fire up for Tyler and Wagner wants to see that some more! Tyler says he’s got something! HANGING FIGURE FOUR!! The fans fire up, the ref counts, and Tyler lets go! The Hitman would be proud as Tyler gets in and leg scissor rolls! Then HALF CRAB!
Ethan endures, reaches out, and the fans chant “TAP! TAP! TAP!” Ethan claws forward, but Tyler drags him back! Ethan turns over, cradles, TWO! Both men stand, PRETTY KICK! Cover, TWO!! Ethan survives and Tyler is beside himself! The fans rally up as Tyler refocuses. Tyler drags Ethan into the chicken wings! Ethan powers out and TWISTED- NO, Tyler has the arms again! But Ethan back suplexes! Tyler lands out, then BOOTS Ethan away! Tyler goes up, reels Ethan in, but Ethan wrenches out! BOOT! Tyler wobbles up top and Ethan climbs! But Tyler slips down, tucks Ethan in, CHEEKY NANDOS!
Ethan sputters, staggers, WHEEL KICK from Tyler! Cover, TWO!! Tyler is shocked and the fans chant, “That Was Three!” Tyler drags Ethan to a drop zone, then he climbs up. But Ethan trips him first! DRAPING TWISTED GRIN!! Cover, Ethan wins!
Winner: Ethan Page, by pinfall (still NXT North American Champion)
All Ego toughed it out and he took this win right away from Tyler. But will he and the AAA Latin American Champion look to settle this once and for all?
Tavion Heights finishes watching this.
And he’s upset that of course Ethan finds a way to win. But then Damian Priest says, “I know exactly who can take him down.” Tavion says what’s up! Damian says he’s been watching Tavion. Real talk, Tavion is so close to that next level. And Damian knows what that feels like, cuz he’s been there. For Damian, here in Full Sail, TakeOver: In Your House, that is where and when it clicked. Then shortly after, he goes on to win the North American Championship. That was a ladder match, and the best part, he had the greatest celebration in a hot tub. Whoa, a Jacuzzi? Yeah, right back there. And Damian sees a lot of that in Tavion’s future.
Tavion thanks Damian for that, and Damian says he also spoke with Ava. So at No Mercy, it is Tavion VS Ethan for the North American Championship! YES! Tavion thanks Damian again, and Damian says just go handle business. And if he needs any advice, he can talk with Damian. Oh, then can they talk now? Tavion’s got so many questions! We let these two talk it out, but will September 27th be the night where Tavion reaches those new heights?

And the Aussie Icon is already in the ring to welcome us to this special edition of “the most important talk show in the history of NXT. The most charismatic, most talented superstar in history, and yet I’ve never stepped foot in Full Sail University. That’s okay, I’m not impressed, NXT wasn’t good until I got here anyway.” The fans boo, but Waller says let’s just get the show started! He already has both men competing for the NXT Championship at No Mercy! First of all, the challenger, the Temu Labubu Waller, Ricky Saints! And his opponent, THE NXT Champion, can we get a “HOO HOO!” for Oba Femi!
The fans cheer both Saints and Oba, and Waller says what a treat. This feels good to be home. But let’s get to it: These idiot NXT fans will cheer for anything, so that’s why they like both of these guys. But only one can win at No Mercy, so who is it gonna be? Will it be #Obarated or #RickySoft? Oba says Waller is a puppet, but he will humor him tonight. Oba said it before, he’ll say it again, Ricky is not special. Ever since Saints showed up in NXT, he has acted like the best thing since sliced bread with his fancy entrance, his flamboyant clothes and his iconic pose. But despite everything Saints has going for him, Oba can’t help but be underwhelmed.
Because Oba eats, sleeps and breathes this title. All Saints has done is look beyond this brand to when he’ll get “called up” to Raw or SmackDown so he can carry Cody Rhodes’ bags! Waller laughs at that burn! Oba says at No Mercy, Oba will show Saints the door, and Saints can carry as many bags as he likes. But Saints can’t carry this title. The fans applaud, and Saints says, “Oh, Oba, you are not familiar with my game, brother. I think it’s real cute that a guy recruited straight outta college wants to talk about friendships, but lemme go further than that. You were scouted, you were sponsored. What is Oba Femi without the title, huh? Who are you at the core of it?
“You act like you got a warrior’s spirit, but more like you’re just a pampered athlete. But I know who I am! And you wanna talk about hype? I grinded for that, I worked for that. In fact, eight years ago at the PC, three days, I poured my energy, I poured my effort into it, just to go home and get an automated email that said no. And y’know what I realized? The truth is, Oba, you’re just holding something that still belongs to Trick. And he does mean that NXT Championship. Now, Trick doesn’t know about Ricky “Booboo Face,” but he needs to mind his business while grown folks is talking!
Because this here started way before Ricky got here! Matter o’ fact, the only reason Saints is even here is cuz Trick and Oba made NXT hot again, let’s talk about it! Waller says hey, Trick, they should talk about it! Waller’s the host, so he has an idea. He will talk to Ava, and even Santino Marella, and maybe next week on NXT, we do Trick 1v1 with Oba Femi, title for title, WINNER TAKES ALL! And then the winner of that faces Ricky Saints at No Mercy! Saints likes that idea, and Trick says bet! Waller says he already sees the “TNA flops” online whining! Those three letters are only relevant cuz Waller said ’em. And that is the Grayson Waller-
Oba cuts off the catchphrase to tell Trick, “Next week, I’m gonna beat you and take that TNA Championship. And then at No mercy, I’m going to successfully defend both titles against you (Ricky) and send you out in disgrace. And THAT is the Oba Femi Rub! Waller is annoyed but the talking is over. Who will be THE champion after No Mercy?

Wren Sinclair tells Charlie Dempsey that they need a fresh start. New music, new jackets, maybe something bigger, but it’s okay, Wren wrote down a huge list just last night. Charlie says there’s no need for change. NQCC has just fallen on hard time. They just need to refocus, which is why Charlie has decided… He’s going to Japan for a month. What?! Charlie is going to NOAH, he’s going to come back a new man. Wren will hold down the fort for him while he’s gone. She doesn’t need to do anything, but without him around, it’ll be- GLORIOUS! Bobby Roode steps in! And Wren is so excited! Can he do the thing? Sure!
Roode strikes the GLORIOUS pose, and Charlie asks where the music comes from. This keeps happening to them! But Wren is so excited, cuz it’s just like Joe Hendry! Wren, NO! “Say his name and he appears!” Joe Hendry walks in through the door! Hendry and Roode finally meet as former TNA World Champions, and Roode has to say, seeing Hendry bring that title to WrestleMania was absolutely GLORIOUS! And now that Hendry is in NXT, there’s a title he should focus on that Roode also once held: THE NXT Championship! When that day comes, just know that Roode will be waiting for him.
Hendry says that for someone of Roode’s stature to say that, that means a lot. They shake hands, and Roode wishes them all luck. Roode and Hendry head out, and Dempsey just wants Wren to not do anything he wouldn’t. Wren says yeah, of course. But is she even paying attention? Or will the #WrenQCC be a very different crew?

NXT returns as The Drama King has the mic and the fans boo. “NXT: Homecoming. And who better to celebrate with than the flesh and blood of NXT? The face of NXT! Lexis ‘Homecoming’ King!” The fans boo but Lexis says now now, he has something to say. But maybe he shouldn’t say it, it might ruffle their feathers. But let’s just say that the Black ‘n’ Gold Era of NXT is… overrated! It just doesn’t hold up to the standard of today’s wrestling. And it doesn’t matter how much the fans all cheer and celebrate the past, because the truth is, they don’t care about the fans! They’ve all moved on! But Lexis hasn’t! He’s here, he’s a star! And there’s a target on his back!
That’s why last week, he was assaulted by Myles Borne! Beaten to a pulp by a steel chair, in the darkness! “Myles Borne, you are a sick and disgusting, evil, vile, deaf man!” The fans tell Lexis, “You Deserved It!” But Lexis says Ava agrees, so he and Myles are having themselves a LIGHTS OUT MATCH! You wanna dance in the dark, Myles!? Well, Lexis is gonna knock your lights out! But then surprise! The lights go out! And when they come up, FINN BALOR is here! The fans fire up and lose their minds as The Prince returns to NXT! But this is all to keep Lexis distracted! Myles slips in and DECKS Lexis!
The fans fire up and then Myles hits a ZIGZAG! Lexis is in the drop zone, and the fans cheer as Finn hits a COUP DE GRACE! Lexis sputters and writhes while Finn shows off the towel that says, “Homecoming PRINCE.” Myles and Finn stand tall, but will Myles make sure Lexis is the one left alone in the dark next week?

Kelly Kincaid is now with Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin & Saquon Shugars to bring up how they retained the NXT Tag Team Championships, thought not as smoothly as they’d hoped. After all, they had another run-in with Joe He- NO, NO, NO! Don’t say the name. The only thing that matters is that they’ve still got the gold. And they ain’t scared of you-know-who. They know the deal, right? Fall in line or get put down. But then in steps Montez Ford! Oh, is he lost? Or is he here to tell them he’s got a problem with them? No, no problem here. He ain’t crazy, he watches the product. But he also sees those NXT Tag Team Championships.
And Ford sees a time when he and Angelo Dawkins made a lot of memories. A lot of memories right here in Full Sail. But no matter what, DarkState are here tonight, home, and together. Ford just wishes he knew how that felt. Well, real funny coming from him, ain’t it? Ford says yes, that is right, handsome young blood. What they all need to worry about is the big ol’ targets on their backs! Ford leaves, and Cutler starts to talk about getting behind, and the others cut him off. These four hurry away, but will they all have to have eyes on the back of their heads? Or will they still be caught unawares?
TNA stars are MAD!
Mike Santana tweets out, “To keep it real with everyone… I’m pretty sick and tired of all the ‘WWE/NXT has control over TNA and can do what they want’ BS! Think it’s about time we do something about #NXTHomecoming.” Moose adds, “Title VS Title… Is that even possible? Doesn’t Carlos Silva have to approve this decision? This is frustrating. Will be watching this match very closely, I have unfinished business with both Oba and Trick.” Mustafa Ali tweets, “NXT celebrates its past but disrespects TNA’s future. Many will talk about it. A few will do something about it.”
Meanwhile, Matt Hardy adds, “Trick VS Oba for the TNT Title at #NXTHomecoming?!? Even tho Trick Williams is a WWE NXT talent who currently holds the TNA Championship, he shouldn’t be defending against a NXT talent. This is utter BS – it’s a TNA title & should always be defended against TNA talent!”
Six Woman Tag: The Fatal Influence VS Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer & Lyra Valkyria!
Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx have been on a roller coaster as of late, and every time they fall, Jacy blames the other two! But will they hold it together as they face three stars of the past? Or will Mami, La Primera & The Morrigan free us from their Influence?
NXT returns, and Lyra makes her entrance first. A shame that Tiffany Stratton was not medically cleared after her brutal match with Jade Cargill and subsequent attack from Nia Jax, but it’s not like Lyra is 100% herself after Judgment Day tried to tear her down. Luckily for her, she has two other former NXT Women’s Champions by her side! Vaquer enters second, leaving Rhea for last. But then the Influence attacks, with Jacy BLASTING Rhea right off the apron! Fallon is after Lyra, Jazmyn is after Vaquer, and the fans boo. Jacy CANNONBALLS Rhea, then the others mug Vaquer while Jacy POSTS Rhea!
The fans boo but Vaquer fights back! She DECKS Fallon, but Jazmyn CLUBS her! The bell rings, Nyx tags Fallon and Fallon tags Jacy while the fans rally for “LA PRIMERA!” Fallon whips Vaquer for Nyx to SWEEP the legs, then Fallon runs to SLIDING FOREARM! Jacy adds the SENTON! Cover, TWO! Vaquer is tougher than that but Jacy KICKS her in the back! And then- NO, Vaquer ducks the kick to roll Jacy up, TWO! Vaquer slips around Jacy, waistlocks to then sit her down, body scissor and roll to the BRIDGE! TWO! Jacy gets up, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and RANAS! Vaquer tumbles, goes to a corner, and Jacy runs in, only to get caught!
Vaquer snapmares Jacy into buckles! Then she DROPKICKS! The fans fire up, hot tag to Lyra! Lyra runs and CROSSBODIES! Then she DECKS Nyx, SOBATS Fallon to KICK and RAM her, then HEEL KICK into Nyx! ENZIGIRI into Fallon! Jacy runs up, Lyra dodges, and then Lyra cartwheels through the hip toss to ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up with Lyra as all the Influence is down! Rhea returns, Lyra dodges Fallon, and Rhea HEADBUTTS Fallon down! Nyx runs up to SLAP Rhea! Rhea just frowns, Nyx apologizes, but Vaquer SUPERKICKS Nyx! The fans fire up as Rhea Canadian Racks Nyx for a RAZOR’S EDGE to the outside!
Nyx falls on Fallon & Jacy and they all fall on the ramp! The fans fire up for Mami, Primera & Morrigan as NXT goes picture in picture.
Fatal Influence stirs, Lyra goes out and fetches Jacy. Lyra KNEES Jacy low again and again, then brings her down to cover, TWO! Lyra keeps on Jacy with a whip to the ropes. Jacy reverses, Fallon gets a cheap shot in, and then Jacy SUPERKICKS Lyra down. Jacy drags Lyra to the corner, bumps her off buckles, and she tags Fallon in. Jacy stomps a mudhole, then Fallon adds on. The ref reprimands, Fallon argues back, then she clamps on a cravat for a neck wrench. Fallon throws KNEES into Lyra, then KNEES her down! Fallon mocks the wings, covers, TWO! Fallon is annoyed but she stays between Lyra and her all-star team.
Fallon TOSSES Lyra to the corner, ROCKS her, then tags Jacy back in. They dig their boots in, the ref counts, and they stop so Nyx can get a cheap shot in. Jacy then CANNONBALLS! Cover, TWO! Lyra toughs it out, but Jacy drags her up. Lyra JAWBREAKERS free! Lyra rights up, ROCKS Jacy, RAMS her low, then goes for her corner! Jacy keeps Lyra down and KNEES her in the side again and again! Jacy clamps onto Lyra with a chinlock and grinds her down, all while taunting Rhea and Vaquer. Lacy THROWS Lyra down, tells the others to kiss this, then she whips Lyra to the corner. BACK BODY BLOCK! Tag to Nyx, and she brings Lyra out.
Nyx hooks a leg and hits a FISERHMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Lyra is still int his, only for Nyx to LAST CHANCERY! Lyra endures and her team coaches her up. NXT returns to single picture, Lyra pushes up, but Nyx rolls back to bring her up with the facelock. But then Lyra powers up and lifts Nyx! Nyx flails, sunset flips, but Lyra stays up! Nyx finishes the flip, Lyra rolls through, but the PENALTY KICK hits! Cover, TWO! Nyx is frustrated but she drags Lyra up and around. Nyx tags Fallon, they mug Lyra, but Lyra fights back! They double kick low! Fallon & Nyx whip, then DOUBLE FLAPJACK! And DOUBLE BULLDOG!
Jacy tags in and BLASTS Rhea to then KNEE Lyra! Cover, TWO!! Lyra survives but Jacy stomps her. Jacy drags Lyra, Lyra ghost pins, TWO! Jacy waistlocks Lyra to keep her from Vaquer, but Lyra fires elbows. Lyra switches, then GUT WRENCH BOMBS! Both women are down and the fans fire up again! Lyra and Jacy crawl, reach out, hot tags to Nyx and Vaquer! The fans erupt as Vaquer goes up and CROSSBODIES! Then she spins Nyx around to snap suplex! Vaquer sees Fallon coming, wrenches, and makes her EAT DA FEET! Fallon goes to one corner, Nyx to the other, METEORA for Nyx! METEORA for Fallon!
The fans fire up as Nyx crawls, and Vaquer brings her in. Vaquer tucks the arms, but Jacy makes the save! Only for Vaquer to DECK Jacy! But then a CALF KICK from Nyx! Handspring and hot tag back to Fallon! Fallon drags Vaquer around, CATAPULT NYX KICK COMBO! Cover, TWO! Fallon is frustrated but she bumps Vaquer off buckles. The fans rally for Vaquer and Rhea as Jacy tags in. Jacy sends Fallon in, but Vaquer BOOTS her! Vaquer then dodges Jacy, hot tag to Rhea! The fans erupt again as Mami dodges Jacy to DROPKICK Nyx! Then she dodges Jacy to short arm LARIAT! And short arm LARIAT! And then ripcord and HOOK KICK!
Rhea scoops Jacy to then FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans fire up and Rhea is feeling it! Rhea gets Jacy back around, Canadian Racks, but Fallon makes the save! Rhea dodges the double lariat, and Vaquer ROCKS Fallon! Rhea ROCKS Jacy! They reel each of them in, a BIG back suplex for Fallon while Jacy gets the ATOMIC FACEBUSTER! Then Vaquer says let’s do that. Rhea nods and everyone loves it! Nyx runs in, but Lyra DROPKICKS her back out! Lyra gets the fans fired up even more! She builds speed to WRECK Nyx with a dropkick! Then Vaquer and Rhea wrap up Fallon and Jacy! We get MAMI’S KISSES!! AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, AH, YEEEEEAH~!
The fans are thunderous as then Vaquer takes Fallon out to SMACK her off the desk, SMACK her off the apron, and repeat! Jacy scurries away while Rhea dares her to get up. Jacy says time out, no thanks! But LOLA VICE is here! Lola tells Jacy to get her butt back in there! Jacy is stuck between a rock and a hard place, but then Lola’s URAKEN sends her in! Rhea pump handles for the RIPTIDE!! Cover, the all-stars win!

A huge win for this Homecoming, and it’s just as #Charlexa said: The Women’s Division has been the heart of NXT then, now, and forever! But will Lola rip Jacy’s heart out when she takes that NXT Women’s Championship? Or will the Toxic Rockstar be the one to show Lola No Mercy?
Trick, Oba, and management all meet backstage.
The NXT Champion and the TNA Champion stare down while Ava is with Regal, Stevie Turner and even Robert Stone. Ava saw those tweets and more, and Regal does not envy the task ahead of her. Oba says, “May the best man will.” Trick says, “He will.” Two companies, two titles, but in the end, only ONE will hold them both in the palm of his hand! Who will be THE #NXTNA World Champion?
My Thoughts:
A great night for NXT, especially as the “Homecoming” to Full Sail. Great highlight reel of those Full Sail days, and I absolutely loved them bringing back the original theme song and putting clips from the new roster on it. Great opening promo from HHH, HBK, Regal and #Charlexa. I’m sure Regal’s “WAR GAMES!” was for mostly fun, but it would be awesome if NXT had a Team HHH VS Team HBK WarGames match before Survivor Series. Anyway, great tag title match to open, and I figured #Charlexa would win. Tatum taking the loss and the way Izzi glared, there’s a good chance the breakup is right around the corner.
On the flipside, very fun promo from #ZaRuca with Lainey, Candice, and Shayna in a surprise return. Shayna being the one advocating for friends sticking together is the wildest thing we’ll see all week, but who knows if ZaRuca stays together. Lainey VS Candice will be a great match, hard to say who’ll win and face Sol at No Mercy. Very good promo from Sami, and good little brawl from Briggs and Je’Von. Sami encouraging Je’Von as the new underdog is good stuff, too. Lexis King’s promo was good but it was clearly so Myles & Finn could humble him. That Lights Out match will be great stuff, but don’t get it confused with how AEW uses that phrase. The lights will be dim while it’s just a normal No Disqualifications. I would think this is where Myles wins and finishes the feud.
Great tag team match from Trick Melo Gang VS DIY, but wow, didn’t think Miz would show up. That was a good surprise to hand Trick Melo Gang the win. The Grayson Waller Effect was a great segment tonight, Saints had great passion addressing his career in the indies and AEW. Trick had a good promo to join in, and the double title match is huge news. The TNA stars tweeting is definitely story, they might do an invasion angle next week to stop the title match. This would make up for how fans were thinking WWE/NXT was taking advantage of TNA, and would perhaps set up a big NXT VS TNA show.
Really fun promo from NQCC with Roode and Hendry, and nice to hear Dempsey is doing another NOAH run. And Roode kinda points out that Hendry is making that transition from TNA to NXT, and he’ll be waiting for the NXT Championship on the other side of No Mercy. If Saints does take the NXT title from Oba, Saints and Hendry can have a really fun feud. Great promo from DarkState with Ford, and Ford being alone (though Bianca was in the crowd) is a sign the Profits are falling apart. Also I appreciate them leaning into Cutler’s unintentional innuendos and the rest of the team stopping him.
Great North American Championship match, but sadly Tyler was of course losing. Ethan and Wagner III are definitely going to have their own title VS title scenario, maybe for the next Worlds Collide. Though, that depends on how No Mercy goes. Very good promo from Tavion and Priest for Priest to encourage Tavion, and that’ll be a great match at No Mercy. And great stuff with the Six Woman Tag, but too bad about Tiffany. Hopefully, Tiff isn’t too badly hurt, but that was a rough landing during that title match on SmackDown. But Lyra is great in the ring, she made a great substitute, and of course the Faces won. Lola also being part of this was good stuff, she and Jacy are going to have a great match.

But of course, the House has to attack from behind! The fans boo as Ren CLUBS Oleg and Dick Togo uses the SPOILER CHOKER! But then Oleg BOOTS Ren away, hauls Dick up, but Ren kicks low! Ren CLAWS Oleg’s eyes, whips, but Oleg reverses to send Ren hard into to the railing! The fans cheer as Oleg puts Ren in the ring, and the ref rings the bell! This is on record now as Oleg RUNS Ren over! Oleg whips Ren to ropes, Ren reverses, but Oleg CLOBBERS Ren! The fans cheer as Ren tumbles out! Dick checks on Ren, as does the ref. Oleg storms out the side, then storms over, but Dick attacks again! Oleg isn’t even bothered!
Dick cowers and calls for the ref. The ref reprimands Dick for even getting close to Oleg. But this distraction lets Ren JAM Oleg with a chair! And SMACK him down! The fans boo more while Oleg writhes, but Ren stalks him around the way. Ren stands Oleg up, then whips Oleg hard into railing! Oleg writhes again, clutching his arm, but Ren stands him up to wrench and wristlock. Ren then brings Oleg out into the crowd, CLUBS away on the arm, then lines up a shot. Ren whips and BOWLS Oleg into chairs! STRIKE! The fans rally for Oleg while he’s down on the floor, but Ren leaves him behind to roll into the ring.
The ring count climbs while Ren catches his breath. Oleg rises at 6 of 20, hobbles his way over, and rolls in at 12. Ren is right on Oleg with a whip and NECKBREAKER DROP! Cover, TWO! Oleg survives but Ren drags him back up. Ren wrenches the arm and bends the fingers before hitting an ELBOW BREAKER! Ren wrenches for another ELBOW BREAKER! Oleg drops to his knees but Ren wrenches the arm again. Ren hammerlocks the arm and RAMS it into bare buckles! Dick helped pull off the House Special! Ren drags Oleg up, clamps onto the arm, but Oleg stays up. Ren puts Oleg in a corner but the ref counts. Ren lets go at 4, but snapmares Oleg into the corner.
Ren goes outside, he CLAWS Oleg’s face, then bends the bad arm against the crossbar! The fans boo and the ref counts, but Ren lets go at 4. Oleg clutches his elbow while Ren grins an evil grin. Ren stalks Oleg, stomps him around, then eggs him on. Oleg rises up but Ren kicks him. Oleg ROCKS Ren with the good arm! And ROCKS him again, and again, and again! Ren wrenches the bad arm to another ELBOW BREAKER! Ren wraps the bad arm around ropes, stops as the ref counts, but Dick HOTSHOTS the arm in the distraction! Ren hits as FLYING ARMBAR TAKEDOWN! The fans rally for Oleg as he fights around.
Oleg high stacks Ren, then deadlifts for a POWERBOMB! The fans cheer while both men are down! Oleg rises first and the fans rally behind him. Oleg drags Ren up, but Ren fights the gut wrench to have the bad arm! ELBOW BREAKER! Ren RAMS shoulders with Oleg, RAMS again, then whips, but Oleg reverses to BELLY2BELLY! The fans fire up as Oleg rises again! Oleg drags Ren up with the gut wrench, for the Shake, Shake, Shake, and THROW! Oleg kips up, the fans fire up, and Oleg shakes out the bad arm. Oleg runs corner to corner but Ren dodges! Ren runs up, but Oleg scoops! And he THROWS Ren again!
Oleg runs, runs, and BOLTIN PRESS! Cover, TWO! Ren survives but the fans rally behind Oleg again. Oleg storms over to Ren, drags him up, and reels him in, only for Ren to fight the lift. Oleg CLUBS Ren, but Ren CHOKES Oleg! Oleg breaks free to CHOP Ren! Oleg winds up, but Ren uses the ref as a shield! Oleg stops short, helps Marty Asami duck, and then he CHOPS Ren after all! Ren complains to the ref, but blocks a kick! Ren hands it to the ref so he can hit an ARMBAR TAKEDOWN! The fans rally for Oleg as he powers right out! Both men rise up, and Oleg runs at Ren, only for Ren to DUMP him out!

Oleg drags Ren up, gut wrenches again, for more Shake, Shake, Shake, and the DOCTOR- NO! Ren fights the bomb! Ren is free but he flounders to a corner. Oleg runs up to SPLASH! Then Oleg torture racks, but Ren CLAWS Oleg’s eyes! Ren whips Oleg into the ref!
Ren CLAWS Oleg’s face, then Yoshinobu Kanemaru appears! The fans boo as the Heel Master kicks Oleg down! Kanemaru uncorks his whiskey bottle to take a big swig! Kanemaru aims, but Oleg smothers the mist! Oleg fireman’s carries Kanemaru, but Dick runs in! Dick kicks Oleg but he doesn’t budge! Oleg then squeezes Kanemaru and the WHISKEY MIST hits Dick!! But Ren is up, only for Oleg to THROW Kanemaru onto him! The fans fire up for Oleg, and he calls to the ref before grabbing Ren’s legs. Oleg YANKS Ren right up, into the POWERBOMB!! High stack, TWO!! Ren survives the #BoltinBomb but the fans rally for Oleg!
Oleg grits his teeth, shakes out his bad arm, then torture racks Ren! Ren flails as Oleg bends him back! But now SHO is here! Sho distracts right as Ren TAPS! Oleg would’ve won! Oleg sees Sho, runs him off, but Sho eggs Oleg on. But then WOLF is here! The fans cheer as Aaron Wolf kicks Sho, then hauls him away! But then Ren kicks Oleg’s legs out, and has him in the GUILLOTINE! But Oleg powers up, powers out, and suplexes Ren! Ren slips free, kicks low and DOUBLE CROSSER! Cover, TWO!! Oleg survives and Ren is beside himself! The fans cheer Oleg on as he and Ren stir. Ren crawls to ropes, drags himself up, and vows to end this!
Ren climbs the corner, takes aim from up high, for HELL’S- NO, Oleg catches Ren for a SNAP KAMIKAZE!! But the bad arm holds him back! Oleg can’t make the cover as he clutches the shoulder in pain! The fans rally even harder as Oleg rises again. Oleg roars, drags Ren up, and fireman’s carries! VERDICT!! Ren flounders but Oleg makes the cover this time, ROPEBREAK!! Ren survives by fingertips, and Oleg is frustrated with his miscalculation. Oleg roars again, he brings Ren back up, and the fans cheer the fireman’s carry. But Ren grabs ropes! Oleg can’t pry Ren free, so he just goes up! But Ren CLAWS Oleg’s eyes!
The ref reprimands but Ren goes up, up, and SUPER ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! Oleg flails, reaches out, but Ren pulls on the bad arm! The fans cheer as hard as they can for Oleg as he fights around! Oleg reaches out, but he’s still so far away! Oleg kicks, kicks, kicks, and has the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer as Oleg survives by a literal foot! Ren drags Oleg up, brings him to the corner, and climbs up. Ren vows to end it now! DOWN TO DIE on the arm! DISARMER!! Oleg endures the mounted armbar, but then powers through, only to end up in an ARMBAR!! Ren puts on the pressure, but Oleg again powers up! Deadlift, but Kanemaru distracts the ref!!
DICK LOW BLOWS OLEG!! The ref misses all that, and Ren drags Oleg back down!! Oleg TAPS, Ren wins!!

Another day, another way for Ren to cheat and steal this title away! Then the House stomps away on Oleg! Wolf returns to run them off, but he was not enough to even the odds during the match. Wolf grabs a mic to tell Ren, “What do you think you’re playing at? See if you can step on me one more time! Put that belt on the line and fight me! I promise to take back that title!” The Wolf has eyes on his prey, but will he huff ‘n’ puff and blow the House of Torture down? Or will they stack the deck too high for anyone to overcome?

What was meant to be former friends settling a grudge is now a second chance for a “Real Latino Man.” Gabe Kidd is hurt, so Andrade is back again, but will he redeem himself from the New Beginning in USA? Or will Gene Blast still be golden?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two stare down. The fans cheer on “YO~TA! YO~TA!” but Andrade ignores that as the two circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Yota’s height becomes his leverage. Yota puts Andrade on the ropes, but lets off cleanly. The fans applaud and Andrade shakes it off. The two reset and circle again. They tie up, are in another deadlock, but Andrade pushes Yota to the ropes. Andrade lets off, but CHOPS! Yota CHOPS, but Andrade headlocks. Yota endures the grind, but Andrade hits a takeover. Yota headscissors, Andrade kips free, but Yota hits the takeover, only for Andrade to handspring through!
Andrade returns to RANA, but Yota handsprings through! The fans cheer as the two stare down again. They circle, feel things out, and tie up with knuckle locks. They go shoulder to shoulder but Andrade wrenches to headlock. Yota powers up but can’t power out as Andrade pulls hair! Yota powers up and out this time, but Andrade RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Andrade runs, only for Yota to hurdle over. Andrade leaps over, Yota sidesteps, but Andrade springboards to CROSSBODY! Andrade then LARIATS Yota up and out! The fans fire up, and Andrade builds speed! But Yota slips in, dodges Andrade, and slips around to arm-drag!
Andrade bails out and now Yota builds speed! The fans cheer, but Andrade is back! Yota blocks the boot, but Andrade whips, only for Yota to reverse. Andrade goes tranquilo in the ropes! The fans cheer, but Yota nods and raises his own LIJ fist. Yota then BOOTS Andrade to the floor! Yota goes out after Andrade, puts him in the ring, and the fans rally again. Yota drags Andrade up, KNEES him low, then KNEES him again. Andrade fires elbows, swings, but into a half nelson! GUT BUSTER! The fans cheer while Andrade goes to a corner. Yota runs in for a STINGER SPLASH! Yota then climbs up, and the fans cheer as he rains down elbows!
Yota goes to nine, winds up, but Andrade YANKS Yota down before ten! Andrade then stomps away on Yota, drags him up, and scoops to SLAM! The fans cheer again while Andrade snarls. Andrade storms back over to Yota, drags him up, and snapmares. Andrade runs to basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Andrade clamps onto Yota with a headlock and grinds him down. The fans rally as Yota endures, and Yota fights his way back up. But Andrade wrangles Yota down and puts on more pressure. The fans rally more as Yota keeps fighting around. Yota kicks his way forward to the ROPEBREAK!
The fans cheer as Andrade lets go, but Yota coughs and sputters as he catches his breath. Andrade grabs legs, and he stomps Yota in the stomach! Andrade looms over Yota, drags him back up, and puts him in the corner to CHOP! Yota is stinging, but also grinning! Yota eggs Andrade on, so the gloves literally come off! Andrade CHOPS Yota! The fans cheer and Yota keeps smiling! Andrade says uno mas, or perhaps moikai, and he kicks instead! Andrade wags his finger, then ROCKS Yota! Andrade whips corner to corner, then runs up, but Yota puts him on the apron! But Andrade blocks the enzigiri to put Yota in the Tree of Woe!
Andrade goes up, WOE STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Yota survives but Andrade says it was that close. Andrade then drags Yota up in the corner, ROCKS him with forearm after forearm, but Red Shoes reprimands. Andrade backs off, but he rallies the fans as he goes corner to corner and back again, CIEN- NO, Yota ducks the knees to sunset flip! TWO, and Andrade ROCKS Yota! Yota ROCKS Andrade! They go forearm for forearm, then Andrade CHOPS! And CHOPS! Andrade runs, but Yota scoops to BACKBREAKER! The fans cheer while both men are down! The fans rally again, and Yota rises first. Yota is grinning again, he’s enjoying this.
Yota stands Andrade up to CHOP! Andrade wobbles, then drops to a knee, but Yota stands him up again. Yota CHOPS again, then brings Andrade around. Yota winds up, but Andrade blocks and CHOPS! And CHOPS! Andrade runs, but Yota ELBOWS him! And CHOPS! Yota roars, runs, but Andrade catches him on the second rope for the INVERTED SPANISH FLY! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! The fans rally as both men stir, and Andrade stands first. Andrade brings Yota up, and snap suplexes! But that’s just Uno Amigo! Andrade suplexes again, but Yota slips out! Yota waistlocks but Andrade ELBOWS free!
Andrade runs up but into a BOOT! Andrade comes back, but into another BOOT! Yota goes up, up, and FLYING ARM-DRAGS! Yota keeps going, tilt-o-whirls and arm-drags again! Andrade tumbles out of the ring but the fans rally behind Yota as he builds speed! And this time, Yota DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! The fans cheer as Yota stands tall going up the ramp. Yota goes back for Andrade, brings him back to the ring, and the fans applaud. Yota aims as Andrade rises, and he runs corner to corner for the GENE TRIGGER! Yota hauls Andrade up top, then climbs up to join him! The fans rally as Yota sets up for the SUPER STEINER! Cover, TWO!
Andrade survives but Yota just keeps on him! Yota has the legs but Andrade resists the turnover. Andrade BOOTS Yota away, but Yota storms back up. Yota reels Andrade in, but Andrade hits a snap suplex! Then another, that’s Dos Amigos! Yota fights the third, but Andrade dodges the lariat to then FLYING FOREARM! Both men are down again and the fans rally back up! Yota crawls to a corner, but Andrade pounds the mat. The fans clap along, “SI! SI! SI!” Andrade runs corner to corner and back again, CIEN KNEES! Cover, TWO!! Yota survives and the fans fire up again! Andrade drags Yota to a drop zone, then goes up the corner!
The fans rally as Andrade DROPDOWN MOONSAULTS, into BOOTS! Yota then has Andrade in the ropes for a KICK! Yota goes from the corner, but Andrade manages a SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans are stunned as Yota hits apron then the floor! Daiki Nagai fans Yota off, but Andrade TRIANGLE JUMP TORNILLOS! Down goes Yota and the fans fire up again! Andrade snarls, then brings Yota up and into the ring. Andrade climbs up, up, and MOONSAULT DOUBLES! Cover, TWO! Andrade is surprised, but he can’t help but smile. The fans rally more and more as Andrade brings Yota up, and underhooks!
Yota fights The Message, RAMS Andrade into a corner, but then Andrade hoists Yota up top! Andrade CHOPS again, then climbs up after Yota. Andrade brings Yota up, up, and SUPER DUPER PLEXES!! And then he just rolls through! That’s just Uno Amigo! Then a snap suplex for Dos Amigos! And then- ORANGE CRUSH from Yota!! Cover, TWO!! Still no third amigo but both men are down again! The fans rally even harder as Yota drags himself to the ropes. Yota nods, and even manages a smile. He uses this energy to rise again! Yota brings Andrade up, then goes up the corner! MARLOWE- NO, Andrade is after him again!
Yota fights the Spanish Fly, Andrade fires body shots of his own, but Yota kicks the legs out! Andrade dangles, Yota adjusts, DRAPING MARLOWE CRUSH! Cover, TWO!! Andrade survives and the fans fire up again! Andrade goes to the apron but Yota follows him outside. Yota stands Andrade up, but Andrade fires an elbow! Yota fires a forearm, Andrade fires back, and the two brawl on the edge. Yota laughs, then GENE TRIGGER! And then RANA to the floor!! The fans are thunderous for that wild gamble of an attack! Yota roars as he rises and the fans are with him! Yota drags Andrade up, brings him around, and POSTS him!
Yota pushes Andrade to the apron, then steps back inside. Yota climbs the corner, brings Andrade up to join him, but Andrade fires hands. Yota CLUBS away on Andrade, but Andrade fights the clinch! Andrade looks to the outside?! Yota fights the suplex to go to the very top! And he brings Andrade up, SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Cover, TWO!! Andrade survives and the fans cheer, but Yota isn’t done with him! Yota stands Andrade up, pump handles, but Andrade fights with elbows! Yota ROCKS Andrade in the back! Yota back suplexes, but Andrade lands out! Yota mule kicks, runs, and LARIATS! Andrade stays standing!?
Andrade SHOVES Yota, eggs him on, so Yota runs, and he avoids the Shadow Elbow! GENE TRIGGER! Then the pump handle, the lift, and the SILVER LINING SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Andrade survives again but Yota powers up! The fans cheer as Yota hits his three point stance and waits on Andrade. Andrade rises, Yota runs in, GENE- SHADOW ELBOW!!! Both men are down and the fans fire back up! Red Shoes checks both men, they’re both still in this, so a standing count begins! Both men are still down at 5 of 10 while the fans rally harder and harder. They’re still down at 7! At 8! Both men sit up at 9! But then they flop back over!
Red Shoes lets the match continue from here, as we’re already 25 minutes deep. Andrade and Yota sit up again, and they stare down as they rise up. Andrade eggs Yota on, so Yota winds up to CHOP! Andrade wobbles, but he walks that one off. The fans rally as Andrade winds up to CHOP! The sweat is seen flying off Yota, then he drops to his knees! And yet, Yota grins again! Yota stands back up, winds up, and CHOPS! The favor has been returned as Andrade is now stinging. Andrade stands back up, and he nods before he CHOPS! Yota drops to his knees, then falls back! But he gets up quickly enough as the fans rally again.
Yota storms up, winds up, and CHOPS! Andrade’s chest is getting red, as is Yota’s, but Andrade- YOTA HEADBUTTS! Yota changes things on Andrade, then reels him in! POWER- SUNSET BOMB!! Cover, TWO and Yota has it! TWO and Andrade has it! TWO, Yota has it again, TWO! Andrade dodges, springboards, into a GENE BLASTER!!! Cover, TWO?!? Andrade survives the anti-air attack but Yota crawls his way to the corner. Yota loads up but he demands Andrade stand again! Andrade rises, Yota runs in, GENE- NO, Andrade hurdles over! Then he rolls Yota up, and deadlifts for a POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!!
Andrade drags Yota up, underhooks, but Yota defies the Message! So Andrade hammerlocks, LA SOMBRA DDT!! Cover, TWO?!? Yota survives and Andrade is beside himself, but the fans are thunderous! Andrade rises, he vows to end this, and he underhooks Yota. Yota fights The Message, but Andrade powers up! Andrade shifts, for a TIGER DESTROYER!! Then Andrade hauls Yota up to the corner, still underhooking the arms! But Yota NORTHERN LIGHTS! Double cover, TWO!! Yota clinches, BACKBREAKER! FLATLINER! STOMP!! The Gene Combination hits as we hit 30 minutes! Then Yota hits the JUMBO PLEX!!
Yota drags Andrade by the legs, then fires up as he turns Andrade! BOSTON CRAB!! The fans are thunderous as Andrade endures! Andrade reaches out but Yota drags him to center! Yota sits deep on the hold, but Andrade still fights! Andrade scrambles his way to the ROPEBREAK! The fans are thunderous as Yota lets go in frustration. Yota and Andrade sit up, and Yota still smiles. The fans rally behind Yota as he brings Andrade up and places him up top. Yota climbs up behind Andrade, then dragon sleepers! The fans rally as Andrade fires elbows! Andrade turns around, and he has the facelock, DDT on the post?!?
Andrade falls to the floor but that’s the lesser of the damage! He hurries back inside, he hauls Yota back up, for THE MESSAGE!!! Cover, ANDRADE WINS!!!
Winner: Andrade El Idolo, by pinfall (NEW IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion)
An instant classic and an absolute shocker at the same time as Andrade has his revenge! Yota went from two belts to none, what will his journey of redemption look like?
As for Andrade, Tanahashi presents him with the belt, and Andrade holds it high. This is not only a win for the United Empire, but a win for AEW and the Don Callis Family. Andrade grabs a mic to say, “I did it.” The fans applaud, and Andrade continues by saying, “I wanna say thank you. Yota Tsuji is good, he’s an amazing talent, but Andrade El Idolo was better tonight.” The fans applaud again, and Andrade says he knows many know he is an AEW talent, but this title is NJPW’s. So Andrade will now officially be working in both companies, both companies are in his blood. And he wants to thank everyone here in Japan for watching.
Andrade says he now has a question, and it is a simple one: Who wants to challenge him? The fans applaud, and Andrade drops the mic. Andrade holds up the belt again, but wait! Stepping out in a nice suit is Drilla Moloney. But then Shota Umino is also here, still in ring gear. Andrade likes where this is going as the two challengers talk on stage. 44 Caliber and Roughneck both go to the ring, and Andrade asks if they heard what he said. So Drilla wants this title? And Shota wants it, too? Then he has an idea.
If they want this title, HIS title, why not this just be a Triple Threat for the Global Heavyweight Championship? Just say where, when, and what time. Then The RRRREAL~ Latino Man will be there! The fans cheer as Andrade is already raising the bar on this belt! Andrade says just call and he’ll be there. Andrade tells the fans, “Arigato!” The fans cheer, but will Andrade regret stacking the odds for his first defense? When and where will we see this shootout happen?
My Thoughts:
A great start to the Wrestling Dontaku double event, and quite the surprising result for the main event. While House of Torture shenanigans were 1000% expected for Narita VS Oleg, that was still a great match. But at the same time, as great as Oleg is, he was not going to become a TRIPLE champion between the NJPW Strong and both NEVER Openweight titles. Aaron Wolf stepping up to Ren is good stuff, but seriously, can Tanahashi use his authority to put ringside bans up? It’s actually bad kayfabe logic from management to not see that as an option.
But as I was saying, amazing main event, and Yota losing is pretty wild. I suppose even if this was Yota Tsuji VS Gabe Kidd, Gabe winning would’ve worked in story, too, positioning this title as a crossover title between NJPW and AEW. Yota’s story of making a comeback will be an intriguing one. Perhaps he uses the G1 Climax as his road back. As for Andrade being up for the Triple Threat with Shota and Drilla, that’s pretty cool, too. I don’t see Andrade losing his first defense, but a Triple Threat is a classic way to keep all parts strong no matter the result.

The two go again, circle, and Jack trips Dorada. Jack facelocks, rolls with Dorada, then shifts to a headlock. Dorada powers up but can’t power out as Jack hits a takeover! Dorada rolls to a cover, ONE, and Jack holds on. Dorada powers up and out this time, but Jack RUNS him over! The fans cheer as things keep moving, and Jack handsprings over the dropdown!
Things get going again, Jack hurdles, then MONKEY FLIPS and DROPKICKS! Jack kips up and the fans cheer! Jack takes a bow while Dorada takes a moment to catch his breath. Jack stands Dorada up to CHOP him down, then he whips Dorada to ropes. Dorada handsprings, Jack dodges, and things keep moving! Dorada FLIP RANAS and Jack tumbles! The fans fire up for Dorada now, and he brings Jack up. Jack CHOSP Dorada again, then knuckle locks. Jack goes up, up, jumps around, and arm-drags Dorada away! Dorada knuckle locks, CHOPS, and he goes up, up, steadies himself, then pinballs around to arm-drag Jack!
The fans fire up as Jack tumbles out. Dorada TORNILLOS and down goes Jack! Dorada high-fives fans, then stands on railing to have everyone cheer. The ref double checks Jack but he’s alright. The ref checks both men, and somehow they’re both okay to continue. Dorada crawls to the steel steps and the fans rally behind him. Dorada hobbles his way over to Jack, puts him in the ring, then stomps him around. Dorada stands Jack up to CHOP! Jack sputters as he drops down, but Dorada stands him back up. Jack CHOPS Dorada, but Dorada SUPERKICKS back! Jack is down, Dorada fires up, and Dorada clamps on with a chinlock. Dorada grinds Jack down, leans on the hold, but Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Dorada is up top! 450- NO, Dorada bails out as Jack moves! Dorada comes back, Jack dodges, but Dorada goes up and up to backflip off the corner! Dorada whips Jack corner to corner, but Jack goes up and over to GERMAN SUPELX! But Dorada lands out! Jack SUPERKICKS! Jack runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Renee knows Kris missed out on making history with becoming the Triple Crown Champion, but then Shida says they almost had those tag belts! Shida doesn’t blame Kris, it wasn’t her fault. Kris gets mad and shoves Shida to the wall! Kris says of course it wasn’t her fault! It was Shida, because Shida didn’t listen, kicked Kris in the stomach for that suplex, and then kept tagging in! Shida apologizes but Kris says that’s enough out of her!
Kris was THIS close to making history, and Shida ruined everything! Shida apologizes again, and says they’ve been friends for almost seven YEARS! Shida promises to make this up to Kris. Kris storms off, but what can Shida do to keep that promise?

Will facing Mansoor, Mason Madden & Johnny TV be more than enough to prepare Cassidy for Dax Harwood? Or will MXM TV finally have their own chance at the AEW World Trios titles?
The trios sort out and Kyle steps up against Mansoor. The bell rings, they circle, and Mansoor shows off his drop steps. He might also be mocking Kyle as he drops down and puts up a leg guard. Garcia stomps Ace, Marina joins in, and the fans boo again. Moxley says this is just the art of tag team wrestling. Garcia puts Ace in for Yuta, Yuta covers, ONE!! Ace toughs it out but Yuta brings him up by his hair. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect, but Yuta clamps onto Ace’s hair! The fans boo but Yuta soaks up the heat. Tag to Garcia, Garcia brings Ace up and bumps him off buckles, then Collision goes picture in picture.
Garcia climbs up, he rains down fists, stops at nine and puts up his dukes. But no dancing here, he just hops down to bump Ace off buckles. Garcia scoops and SLAMS Ace, then tags Yuta. Yuta climbs up to ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Ace is tougher than that, but Yuta clamps on with a chinlock. Ace reaches out but Yuta clamps on a straitjacket. Yuta grinds his forearm into Ace, but Ace fights up to fire body shots. Yuta ripcords Ace to ELBOW him down! Tag to Garcia, they stomp away, but the ref reprimands. Yuta stops at 4, but Garcia stands on Ace at the ropes! Garcia stomps away, stops at 4, then taunts Juice.
Yuta gets a cheap shot in while the ref holds Juice back. Garcia bumps Ace off buckles, but the ref backs him off. That lets Yuta DUMP Ace out, and Marina is again there to cause problems! Yuta puts Ace back in, high-fives and fist bumps Marina, and Garcia stands on Ace! The ref counts, Garcia counts along, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as the Death Riders continue to mug Ace. They shove him to the corner, then Garcia sends Yuta in for the BODY BLOCK! Garcia LARIATS, Yuta ELBOWS, repeat! The Cycle of Violence continues until Ace BOOTS Yuta and ELBOWS Garcia! The fans fire up as Ace hurries, but the Death Riders THROW him back! And they BLAST Juice together! Then they DOUBLE SHOTGUN Ace down! Marina & Moxley love it but they’re the only ones. Garcia reels Ace into a PERUVIAN NECKTIE! The fans boo, but Juice rises up. Ace reaches out, pries free, and has the ROPEBREAK! Garcia drags Ace back up but Ace fires body shots!
Ace reaches out but Garcia CLUBS him down! Garcia back suplexes, but Ace lands out! Yuta grabs Ace, but Ace BOOTS Garcia and ELBOWS Yuta! Garcia FLIPS Ace, but Ace RAMS Garcia! Slingshot sunset flip, but Garcia rolls through! Ace BOOTS Gracia way, then fireman’s carries! Garcia fires elbows, but Ace does a squat before the DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Ace and Garcia crawl, hot tags to Yuta and Juice! Juice RUNS Yuta over, THROWS Garcia in, then CLOBBERS Yuta! And CLOBBERS him again! Juice LARIATS Garcia back out, then ELBOWS Yuta down! SENTON!
The fans fire up for Juice, and he CROSSBODIES Garcia down! Juice talks trash on Moxley, but Garica throat chops him! Moxley says keep your eye on the ball. Yuta DIVES, but Juice uses Garcia as a shield! the fans cheer the friendly fire, and Jucie SMACKS Yuta off the desk! Yuta is busted right open! Juice fires up, the fans pump it up with him, and Juice JABS! JABS! JABS! “JUICE! JUICE! JUICE!” Garcia gets up, but he gets the LEFT HAND O’ GOD! Yuta runs up, but Juice JABS, JABS, JABS! Marina gets up, and Juice thinks about it. But Yuta rolls Juice up! TWO and Yuta bumps into Marina! The fans cheer as Juice then O’Conner Rolls, TWO!
Juice staggers, comes back, and LEG LARIATS Yuta down! Cover, Garcia breaks it in time! The fans boo but Ace is in! Ace ROCKS Garcia, KNEES, KICKS, and runs up in the corner! Garcia BOOTS Ace, then DUMPS him out! Juice whips Yuta, but Yuta sunset flips! Rewind into Garcia’s PILEDRIVER!! Yuta goes up, Garcia positions Juice just right, FASTBALL SPECIAL!! Cover, TWO!! Moxley is frustrated for his guys, and Yuta snarls through his crimson mask! Yuta aims, BUSAI- NO, Juice ducks the knee! But Garcia SHOTGUNS! But Ace FLYING CHUCKS! Yuta wrenches Ace, RIGHT ANGLE SLAM!
Yuta fires up, he brings Juice around, but Juice hits the LEFT HAND O’ GOD! Then the JUICE BOX!! Cover, BANG BANG GANG WINS!

The Death Riders are sore losers, Moxley says you don’t go calling him out and get away with it. Garcia CHOKES Juice, Yuta stomps Ace, but “GUNNS UP!” YES, Austin & Colten Gunn are both back! And they rush in to CLOBBER the Death Riders! They fire off on Moxley, but Yuta 7 Garcia come back for more! The Gunns DECK those two, then wait on Moxley! But Marina saves The Maniac from a 3:10 to Yuma! Yuta runs in, he gets the 3:10 TO YUMA!!
The fans fire up as The Bang Bang Gang is now four men strong! Colten gets a mic to shout, “The Collision Cowboys are back, baby! This is OUR show! And if you’re not down with that, we’ve got two words for ya!” “GUNNS UP!!” Marina is pissed, but will The Death Riders settle this with Bang Bang Gang soon enough?

Lexy Nair is with Megan Bayne & Lena Kross, and Megan says no, she’s not with them, she’s beneath them. Just like this entire Women’s Division. Lena says Divine Dominion just defeated Stat & Shida, two former world champions, and two of the best in this company. And yet they crumbled at Divine Dominion’s feet! What two other women even have a prayer? Can Lexy think of them? Wanna try? N-NO, absolutely not. Then the only hope this Women’s Division has is if the gods themselves take mercy on their souls and strike these two down. Otherwise, just stop trying. Megan & Lena have spoken, but will that challenge soon be matched?
Skye Blue VS Nixi XS!
The Chicago Skye looms dark over Peoria, especially after she and the Triangle of Madness misted Persephone full in the face just to cheat a win last week. But will Skye make sure to leave her opponent black ‘n’ blue tonight? Or will the Alien Girl shine through with neon colors?
The bell rings and Skye just BOOTS Nixi down! Then she scuffs Nixi, talks trash on her, and pie faces her around. Skye TOSSES Nixi out, then runs up, only for Nixi to BOOT her back! Skye ROCKS Nixi, then runs up again, to BOOGT WASH her to the floor! Skye scowls as she stalks Nixi on the outside, and she brings Nixi up to SMACK her off steel steps! And again, and again, and again! The fans cheer Skye as she puts Nixi on the apron. Skye drags Nixi out for a DRAPING SWINGING NECKBREAKER to the floor! Nixi writhes but Skye puts her back in the ring. Skye swaggers while the fans cheer, then she climbs up the corner.
Nixi slowly rises so Skye revels in the cheers a little more. Nixi ROCKS Skye, but Skye ROCKS her back! They brawl up top, but Skye slips under to tuck Nixi in! CHEEKY NANDOS! Then Skye gets under Nixi for a RUNNING POWERBOMB! Flip over and KNEE!! Cover, but Skye lets up! The fans re torn, but Skye shouts out Julia Hart with the dragon sleeper! She drops down, DESCENT INTO MADNESS! Nixi TAPS, Skye wins!
Winner: Skye Blue, by submission
Skye shows her arsenal is deepening, just like the darkness in her heart! Will all parts of the Triangle of Madness soon be shining with gold?
AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight VS Hook w/ The Opps!
The Jet used MJF’s own tricks against him to keep this title, and now he has his shot at Darby Allin’s AEW World Championship this Wednesday. But will Knight still be bringing this gold with him? Or will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil finally make himself the Face of TNT?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see whose luggage will be a little heavier as they leave Illinois!
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Knight and Hook circle, tie up, and Hook slips around to waistlock. Hook picks a leg, trips Knight, then eggs him on. The fans boo but Knight brushes it off. Knight asks Shibata if he taught Hook that trick. Shibata ignores Knight, but Knight and Hook tie up again. Hook headlocks, wrenches, then wristlocks. Knight rolls, handsprings, and wrenches to snapmare. Knight drops a KNEE on the arm! Hook scrambles away but Knight calls to Shibata, saying he knows Shibata knows these tricks. Knight does squats like back in the dojo, and the two tie up again. Knight powers Hook back, Hook turns things around, and they go along ropes.
The ref counts as the two keep going around and around, then they return to center. Hook waistlocks, Knight switches, but Hook switches back. Knight wrenches, hammerlocks, and the fans rally. Hook reaches back to hit the SAYANAGI! Hook runs but Knight stays low. Knight hurdles, then HIP TOSSES, but Hook handsprings through! Knight dodges Hook’s lariat, Hook HIP TOSSES, but now Knight handsprings through! The fans cheer while Knight strikes a pose, but Hook runs up! Knight arm-drags Hook, then arm-drags again, but Hook avoids the dropkick! The fans boo as Hook scrambles to the corner.
Knight taunts Hook & Shibata, but Shibata coaches Hook up. Hook kicks low, ROCKS Knight, then fires body shots and backhands in the corner! Knight turns things around to return the body shots and forearms! Knight UPPERCUTS, the fans fire up, but Hook avoids the haymaker! Hook fires more body shots, then a HEADBUTT! Hook wobbles, too, but he still soaks up heat from the fans. Hook stalks Knight to a corner, brings him around to whip, but Knight grabs ropes to stop. Knight DUMPS Hook out, then DROPKICKS him down! Shibata coaches Hook, Knight aims to PLANCHA, but Hook dodges!
Shibata stands in the way, Knight asks what’s up, but Shibata runs up! Knight dodges, goes up the steps, but Hook dodges that! EXPLODER into the fans! The other fans cheer as Knight is down, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Hook soaks up more heat as he swaggers around the way, but the ref checks Knight. Knight rises up but the ref has Hook stay back. That just lets Shibata DUMP Knight to ringside! And even stomp him! Hook argues with the ref as a further distraction so Shibata can stand Knight up. Hook KNEES Knight, then whips him hard into railing! Hook CLUBS Knight, soaks up heat, then goes to the ring. Hook argues with the ref more, but that lets Shibata line up a shot! Shibata BOOTS Knight into the crowd! The fans cheer again, they don’t mind Collision being interactive. Shibata puts Knight in for Hook to cover, TWO!
Hook is frustrated but Shibata coaches him up. Hook drags Shibata up, but Knight fires body shots! Knight ROCKS Hook, shakes out his hand then runs, only for Hook to follow! Hook CLOBBERS Knight, covers, TWO! Shibata argues the count but no, it was fair. Hook clamps onto Knight with a SLEEPER! Knight endures, even as Hook leans on him. Knight fights around, reaches out, then fires body shots! Collision returns to single picture as the fans rally. Knight fires shots, Hook shoves, but Knight returns! STAELLITE- NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! Knight survives and Hook is furious!
Hook hauls Knight up, fires body shots, then ROCKS Knight. Hook whips corner to corner, but Knight comes back to LARIAT! The fans fire up as Knight keeps going, SHOULDER TACKLE! Knight whips, Hook reverses, but Knight goes up and over! Knight comes back, LEAPING LARIAT! Hook sputters away but Knight kips up! The fans fire up and Knight runs up to scoop and SLAM! The fans cheer as Knight says “TOO FLY!” UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Hook survives but the fans still rally behind Knight. Shibata coaches Hook and Hook rises up. Knight also stands, and Knight runs up, SATELLITE- NO, Hook powers free!
Hook goes to a corner, Knight runs up and blocks a boot! Knight ROCKS Hook, hoists him up top, but Hook kicks Knight away. Knight returns to the UPPER ROOM! Hook goes tumbling away to the far corner! Shibata is worried but Knight grins. Knight says this is for Shibata-sensei! HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! The fans cheer Knight using Shibata’s signature, and that just pisses Shibata off! Knight puts Hook in the drop zone but Hook grabs at the ref. Knight climbs up, but Shibata shakes the ropes! The fans boo as that trips Knight up! Knight is stuck on his cockpit, but Hook goes up after him! Hook clinches but Knight fires body shots!
Knight SHOVES Hook away, climbs back up, but Hook is right on him for a SUPER DUPER BELLY2BELLY!! Knight flounders, Hook runs up, LARIAT! TAZ PLEX! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives and we hit the ten minute halfway point! Knight PENALTY KICKS, another Shibata signature! Cover, TWO!! Another cover, TWO!! Knight survives and Shibata is frustrated! Shibata tells Hook to end this! Hook snarls, storms around, and he demands Knight rise again! Knight sits up, Hook sneaks up behind him, REDRUM!!! Knight flails, drops, and victory rolls! TWO!! Knight and Hook stand, Knight slips around, O’Conner Roll! TWO, but Knight BLASTS Shibata first!!
The fans cheer, but Hook runs up again! GERMAN SUPLEX, but Knight handsprings through!! Then Knight LARIATS Hook down! Then Knight waits on Hook, for the SATELLITE DDT!! Knight puts Hook in a drop zone, hurries up a corner, and takes aim… MOTHERSHIP SPLASH!! Cover, KNIGHT WINS!
Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)
Hook tried to take this title, even had Shibata-sensei there to tip the scales, but it just wasn’t enough to stop The Jet from taking off! But will Knight soon make himself a double champion? Or will Darby Allin’s relentless reign not stop just yet?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision to follow a great Dynamite, but naturally status quo is kept with all these title matches. I liked the Jurassic Express National Tour vignette, and that was an awesome match in Jack VS Dorada. Anna Jay also looked great in her return, but of course Willow wins to keep the TBS title. Good promo from after Dynamite with Kris being rightfully angry with Shida, and good promo from #Shidalander with Harley & Mina. I feel like they can do a two-in-one, where Shidalander falls apart to set up their feud, while also giving Harley & Mina reason to become a team to help bolster the Women’s Tag Division.
Speaking of, very good promo from Divine Dominion to address how they’re dominating the division. There are only so many teams in the tag division so we need an influx of more, maybe have some crossover with Stardom and CMLL real quick, really spice things up as we get closer to Forbidden Door. Skye Blue of course won, and pretty dominantly at that. I can’t tell if Julia Hart is resting from an injury or what but she wasn’t even ringside for Skye, hopefully things are alright. Very fun trios match from Conglomeration VS MXM TV, great win for Conglomeration, but AEW needs to figure out more trios. Putting Ciampa with FTR is still a great team, but they gotta get longer running teams going, like LFI or maybe even Shane Taylor Promotions.
Awesome stuff with that 10 Man Tag, so wild and chaotic in a good way, but I figured Death Riders & Dogs would win. The Dogs need to stay afloat without Gabe Kidd as their anchor, and there’s the whole story with Ospreay that Death Riders need to stay strong for. Great tag match from Yuta & Garcia VS Ace & Juice, too, and great win for Bang Bang Gang. Especially with a return from Austin & Colten Gunn, because now we can get Bang Bang Gang VS Death Riders in an 8 Man Tag, someone going after the Continental Championship for it, who knows what else. For that matter, Bang Bang Gang needs to get back in those tag and trios divisions to at least bolster the ranks.
And great main event with the TNT Championship. Hook looked good for most of this, but the German Suplex was a bit janky. Thankfully, Knight is so tall and athletic that he made himself look even cooler in his escape. Knight of course won, mostly because it is more exciting if he has a chance of becoming Jet Two Belts. He won’t, because Darby and MJF are still building towards their rematch for Double or Nothing, but Knight will look awesome again. If anything, Knight VS Shibata should be the TNT title match for Double or Nothing, that’s a great story of student and teacher they can easily reference in the build.
