Sit-down interview with Toni Storm and Kris Statlander.

Renee Paquette thanks the TIMELESS challenger and the Galaxy’s Greatest AEW Women’s World Champion for sitting with her, and to accepting the No Physicality Agreement. Though as Renee is saying this, Toni is putting her hat and jacket aside while Kris is taking off her jacket. Then Toni’s suspender straps come down and Kris takes off her cargo pants…? Renee says they are just days away from the highly anticipated rematch for this title, and… Y’know what? ENOUGH! Renee throws off her own jacket to make a point. She doesn’t know where their heads are, but Toni can go first.

Toni tells Kris that it isn’t Kris, it’s her. Toni thought that when she would eventually lose the title, she’d be free. She’d have a release of the years and tears I’ve spent fighting for it. But now, she has nothing. Her canvas is blank, and her heart only starts beating when she dreams of winning it all back. “I am that title. Close your eyes and picture, and it’s around this waist. I’ve done with that championship what no one else has done, and if that means fighting at my absolute best to take it away from a women whom I admire, then so be it. And if you are indeed my murderer, then so be that, too. I don’t know who I am without that title. But darling, who are you?”

Kris says, “You’ve let this lost cause you to delude yourself.” But Toni needs to remember who he’s been all along. Meanwhile, Toni’s never been able to figure Kris out, because she is constantly evolving. Who she is is a culmination of everything that she was before. Kris is already different than the person she faced at All Out, and that was just a taste of everything Kris will be. “We are living in this world, and I am the champion of it. I am an extraordinary being, a killer as dangerous as the cosmos are large, a person who will outlive her doubters with her determination, her grit, her ability, and the most deserving of this prestige in this very moment, no matter the timeline!

“So Godspeed, Toni Storm, I will give you the rest you so deeply deserve.” Toni says, “Professional wrestling is a lie that reveals the truth. And we’ve told some ridiculous lies.” Toni stands up from her chair and steps closer to Kris to tell her, “At WrestleDream, we will find out the truth.” Kris tells Toni, “You know the truth. You just have to accept it.” Renee says powerful words, and Kris asks if the interview is over. Renee tentatively says yes, and Toni says good! Kris can meet her in the ring! The lapel mics are off and both women head out. Are these two forces of nature about to get that scrap they so badly wanted last week?

In fact, perhaps they are! They’re already ringside, and Toni throws her button-up off so she and Kris can throw hands! The fans fire up, Toni dodges and hits a THESZ PRESS! The fans fire up as Storm rains down fists! Kris gets loose, wrenches Toni, and hits an ANGLE SLAM! The fans fire up again as Kris storms around. But then Toni throws the belt to Kris, and dares her to do it! Hit her! Kris sets the belt down, but Toni HEADBUTTS her! And reels her in, but Kris pops free! Storm ducks the roundhouse, and she hits a GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans are torn, but now Kris dares Toni to hit her with the belt!

The fans are torn again, Toni winds up, but then she hesitates. Toni instead puts the belt on Kris’ shoulder, and kisses her on the forehead. Is that be Toni’s kiss goodbye to Kris? Or for herself?

Jurassic Express speaks.

Jack Perry is whittling something from a wood block as he says, “Jurassic Express VS The Young Bucks at WrestleDream. Bucks, I just want to tell you, I don’t hate you. If I’m being fully honest, I love you guys. And I will always be grateful for everything that you did for me. But when I needed you most, you didn’t pick up the phone. When I needed you most, you didn’t have my back. So I had to look deep into my past to find somebody who would.” Luchasaurus snarls as he steps in, and it seems he’s already ready to fight. Jurassic Express will team up with Kenny Omega later tonight, will they all settle the score with The Don Callis Family?

The Hurt Syndicate VS The Gates of Agony!

Between All Out and Homecoming, these factions are tide at 1-1. The Six Man Tag tiebreaker is set for WrestleDream this Saturday, but between Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin or Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona, which dominant duo gains momentum for their team?

The teams sort out and Shelton starts against Kaun. The fans fire up for the Standard of Excellence as he dares the Cameroonian Prince to step up. Kaun indeed steps up, the fans rally, and the hands start flying! Shelton RAMS Kaun into the corner, fires haymakers, but the ref counts. Kaun CLAWS eyes and turns things around to stomp a mudhole and CHOP! Shelton snarls while Kaun mockingly applauds. Kaun CHOPS again, but Shelton smirks. Kaun smiles, kicks low, and suplexes, but Shelton slips free! SLEEPER! Kaun fights it, Shelton shoves him and BOOTS him! The fans fire up and Shelton drags Kaun back up.

Shelton suplexes Kaun hard, then he tags Lashley. The fans cheer as All Mighty Lashley whips Kaun for him and Shelton to DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! Lashley stares down the Samoan Lion while the fans rally. Lashley suplexes Kaun and holds him up! The fans count to TEN before the SLAM! Lashley paces and the fans cheer, then Lashley RAMS Kaun into the corner! Lashley RAMS Kaun again and again, then ROCKS him! The fans fire up and Lashley throws elbows! Lashley reels Kaun in for a NECKBREAKER! Lashley waits on Kaun, then brings him around, but Kaun kicks low! Lashley kicks in return!

Lashley whips, Kaun goes up, but Lashley catches him! Kaun slips free, shoves Lashley, then ducks ‘n’ dodges! Liona tags in, but Lashley is ready! Lashley LARIATS Liona up and out! Ricochet panics and the fans fire up! But Kaun goes after Lashley, only for Lashley to ROCK him! Lashley steps through but Kaun KICKS ropes to jam Lashley up! Ricochet distracts the ref as Liona SAMOAN DROPS Lashley on the floor! Ricochet applauds and The Demand has control as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Liona drags Lashley up and whips him hard into barriers! Lashley slumps down, Liona soaks up cheers and jeers from Kansas City, then has the chair. But MVP has his cane and he dares Liona to do something. Liona smirks and drops the chair to step into the ring. Kaun stomps Lashley behind the ref’s back, so MVP kicks Kaun! The fans cheer as MVP gets away with it, but then defends Kaun started something. But this just distracts the ref, allowing GOA to whip Lashley hard into barriers! Ricochet defends he had nothing to do with it. Kaun puts Lashley in the ring, covers, TWO! Kaun tags Liona, the GOA mugs Lashley, and Liona brings Lashley around.

Liona facelocks Lashley and squeezes tight. Lashley endures, fights free with body shots and forearms, but Liona CLUBS him! Liona clamps onto Lashley to scoop and carry him around, then SLAM! And FALLING HEADBUTT! Cover, Shelton breaks it! Lions stares Shelton down but the ref has both sides back off. Liona has Lashley on ropes and CHOKES him! The ref counts, Liona stops at 4, and they argue now, allowing Kaun to BOOT Lashley down! Kaun mockingly applauds, then backs off as Liona drags Lashley up. Liona brings Lashley into the ring, CLUBS him, CLUBS him again, and again!

Dynamite returns to single picture as Lashley fires forearms in return! Lashley runs, but Liona CLOBBERS him! The fans boo but Liona soaks it up. Liona drags Lashley up while the fans rally, and Liona whips him to a corner. Lashley reverses and Liona hits buckles! Lashley runs in, but Liona BOOTS him away! Liona roars, runs up, but Lashley clinches! OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! The fans fire up again while both men are down! Lashley and Liona crawl, hot tags to Kaun and Shelton! The fans fire up as Shelton DECKS Kaun, DECKS him again, then fires fast hands! Shelton whips corner to corner, runs up, STINGER SPLASH!

Shelton kicks, Kaun blocks, but the DRAGON WHIP hits! Shelton then runs corner t o corner again, but Ricochet gets Kaun out of the way! So Shelton just STEP-UP KNEES Ricochet down! But Kaun rolls Shelton up, TWO! Shelton waistlocks, GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up and Shelton stalks up on Kaun again, GERMAN SUPLEX! But LIona rushes in! Liona scoops, Shelton slips free, and Shelton runs, SATELLITE DDT! But Liona is right up!? And he HEADBUTTS Shelton down! The fans boo but Liona says shove it, KC! Liona drags Shelton up, but Lashley CLOBBERS him! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands everyone.

Lashley runs in around thew way, but Liona meets him! DOUBLE LARIATS on the floor! The fans fire up as Kaun goes up, up, and- NO, Shelton is up there after him! SUPER ARM-DRAG! The fans are all fired up while Kaun and Shelton stir. MVP tries to sneak his cane in there, but the ref sees that plain as day! They argue now, and Ricochet slithers in! SPIRIT GUN on Shelton!! The One & Only scurries away and the fans boo! So MVP CLOBBERS Ricochet with the cane! But Kaun still covers Shelton, GOA wins!

MVP CLOBBERS Kaun with the cane! Kaun bails out, The Demand regroups, but they just got a massive win over Shelton & Lashley! Is this an omen of what’s going to happen at WrestleDream? Or will Ricochet & GOA learn just how badly The Hurt Syndicate can hurt people?

Jon Moxley and Darby Allin have their final face-to-face.

In an undisclosed location, though clearly a correctional facility visitor room, The Maniac and the Relentless One sit on opposite sides of the glass. Moxley sits down and says, “One heck of a situation we’ve got going on here. But to make sure we all understand the implications of an I Quit match… In Toronto, there was zero chance you were gonna put me into a coffin. The game was rigged, it was never gonna happen. This game was rigged in both directions. You will never quit. I’m certainly not going to quit. So what’re we gonna do, man? I’m out of ideas. So what do you wanna do? How’s this gonna end? If you want to be on the right side of history, though, it is never too late.”

Darby says, “It is, Jon. I wish that I could, but I can’t. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about joining the Death Riders. I understand the cause. I understand what it is you’re trying to do. But it’s you. It’s you I don’t respect. This is all about Danielson. I saw what you did to him. What would I wanna go into a war with somebody who stabs his brother in the back? Why would I wanna go to war with somebody that finds someone so disposable, someone they considered family?” Moxley says if we’re talking Bryan, Moxley did the best he could for Bryan.

This is a war for the future of this sport, this is a war for the future of their craft, and sacrifices need to be made. Hard decisions have to be made. And you think that wasn’t tough for Moxley? You don’t know what sacrifice is. You don’t know what having that weight on your shoulders is, none of them do. Darby says when he was on the summit of Mount Everest, holding the AEW banner above the world, it was that AEW represents freedom. And Darby knows what Moxley is doing: He is slowly chipping away at everything that makes AEW special. And Darby will hang that flag in his house so that every day, it reminds him of everything AEW gives him.

But before he does… Darby will wrap it around Moxley’s throat. And when Moxley says the words, “I quit,” at WrestleDream, all those Death Riders that blindly follow him will realize Moxley’s war doesn’t mean a thing. This whole operation will come crumbling down. Moxley says it might not mean anything to Darby, but Moxley has never lied to him. Darby’s opponent at WrestleDream isn’t really Moxley. It never has been. It’s never been the guy standing across the ring from Darby. Every time Darby goes into the ring, or climbs a mountain, or jumps his skateboard off a bridge or he sets himself on fire, shoots himself out of a cannon…

What Darby is doing is fighting ghosts, spirits, demons of his past, whatever, and that’s none of Moxley’s business. Moxley’s played that game, and it never ends well. Chasing highs, trying to prove to the world that you’re indestructible. There is a selfishness to that, and Moxley is not selfish. The biggest difference between them going into WrestleDream, and the thing Darby cannot get through his head, is that this is not about Moxley! And then PAC ATTACKS DARBY! The Bastard does Moxley’s dirty work as he SMASHES Darby against the table, the walls, and repeat! Pac then SMACKS Darby up against the glass window, smearing blood on it!

Darby sputters and coughs as he slumps down against the glass. Moxley isn’t playing fair, but will it not matter when Darby can do even worse at WrestleDream?

Roderick Strong VS Claudio Castagnoli!

Well, speaking of Moxley, The Savior of the Backbreaker called him out to step up and fight, but given what we just saw, that wasn’t gonna happen. Instead, the Swiss Cyborg is going to step up, looking to see just how strong Roddy is. Can Roddy take Claudio off the board for WrestleDream? Or will “The One True King” have his knight with him on Saturday?

The bell rings and the two tie up. The fans rally as the two go around, and Claudio puts Roddy in a corner. Roddy powers Claudio back, they grapple on the mat, and Roddy facelocks, Claudio pushes Roddy down, but Roddy shifts to trap an arm. Claudio uses that to roll Roddy, but Roddy fights off the lateral press. They fight up, Roddy and Claudio clinch and end up on the ropes. The ref counts, the two refuse to let go until he reaches 4, but then Claudio UPPERCUTS! The fans boo but Roddy is right up to CHOP! Roddy CHOPS again, the fans “WOO~,” and Roddy CHOPS again! Claudio UPPERCUTS Roddy down!

Claudio drags Roddy up to whip him to a corner, but then Roddy dodges to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Claudio headlocks, hits a takeover, but Roddy keeps his shoulders up. Roddy fights up, the fans rally, and Roddy powers up and out. Claudio kicks, Roddy blocks, and he CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Then he ROCKS Claudio, but Claudio ROCKS Roddy! Claudio UPPERCUTS, hits another headlock takeover, and he fights off the headscissors. Roddy fights around, pushes back with his forearm, then stands up to power out again. Claudio RUNS Roddy over this time, then things keep moving. Roddy leaps, but into a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally as Claudio headlocks. Roddy slips out, Claudio chinlocks again, and the fans rally as Claudio leans on the hold. Roddy rises, Claudio scoops, and Claudio SLAMS! Then ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as Claudio clamps right back on with a chinlock. Roddy endures again and the fans rally up. Roddy fights around, rises up, and Roddy fires body shots. Roddy ROCKS Claudio, ROCKS him again, but Claudio whips and BOOTS! Roddy falls to the apron, Claudio storms over, but Roddy goes to the floor. Claudio goes out, drags Roddy up, but Roddy fights the suplex! Roddy then ROCKS Claudio!

Claudio ROCKS Roddy, then goes back to the outside. But Roddy ENZIGIRIS! And then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Claudio writhes and the fans fire up! Roddy hobbles and slides into the ring, then builds speed to WRECK- NO, Claudio catches the dropkick, and SWINGS Roddy into railing! The fans fire up while Roddy is down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Claudio catches his breath before he drags Roddy up. Claudio then says move, and he THROWS Roddy into the timekeeper’s area! Claudio leaves Roddy behind for the ring count to handle, and we’re already at 5 of 10. Roddy flounders, crawls from the timekeeper’s area, and stands at 8. Roddy hobbles and slides in at 9.5! But Claudio GUT WRENCH PLEXES! Cover, TWO! Roddy stays in this but Claudio brings him around. Claudio HEADBUTTS Roddy down, then clamps on a NECK WRENCH! Roddy endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Then CHOPS! Claudio CHOISP in return, so Roddy CHOPS again. Claudio overhand CHOPS!

Roddy staggers away, Claudio CHOPS him down, then fires UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT! The ref counts, Claudio stops, backs off, and the ref checks Roddy. Roddy is still in this, so Claudio hits a headlock takeover. Roddy endures the grind, keeps his shoulder up, and fights back up. Dynamite returns to single picture as Roddy powers up and out, to DROPKICK Claudio! The fans fire up while both men are down! Claudio goes to ropes, Roddy rises up, and Roddy runs side to side to ROCK Claudio with forearm after forearm! But Claudio LARIATS! Cover, TWO! But into a CROSSFACE! Roddy endures while the fans rally up!

Roddy fights around, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer as Roddy survives by a literal foot! Claudio lets go in frustration, but he fires UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT in the corner again! The fans boo but Claudio clinches and SPIDE SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Roddy shows that grit, but Claudio goes for legs. Roddy resists, then kicks and kicks until Claudio staggers back. Roddy is up, he dodges, LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up as Roddy gets back up to CALF KICK! Claudio staggers up, Roddy fires off a forearm and a CHOP! Roddy whips, Claudio reverses, but Roddy dodges the boot! Claudio is stuck and Roddy CLOBBERS him!

The fans fire up as Roddy then runs, and he WRECKS Claudio with a dropkick! Claudio hits barriers and Roddy is right after him! BARRIER BACK SUPELX! Claudio sputters and drops to his knees! The fans fire up and Roddy hurries to put Claudio back in. Roddy runs at the corner, but Claudio stops the knee! Claudio puts Roddy up top and UPPERCUTS! Claudio climbs, gut wrenches, but Roddy clings to ropes! The fans fire up as Roddy then slips down, and he spins Claudio around to GAMANGIRI! Roddy turns Claudio around again, then climbs up. Roddy CLUBS Claudio, Claudio fires an elbow, but Roddy fires more shots!

Roddy scoops Claudio for a TOP ROPE BACKBREAKER! Both men fall and the fans fire up again! Both men crawl, Claudio stands, but Roddy runs in! But Claudio stops another knee attack, POP-UP UPPERCUT!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Roddy was indeed strong, but he wasn’t as strong as Claudio! Claudio leaves through the crowd, certainly to regroup with The Death Riders. Will Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta be able to do the same later tonight? Or can The Conglomeration avenge Roddy?

Don Callis celebrates his birthday.

It was the other day in a very posh restaurant’s private room that The Jackal met with his Family for a feast. They all applauded and sang, “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow!” Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada sit on Don’s right and left as they are the AEW TNT and Unified Champions, respectively. Callis says October 13th is a great day because it is his birthday! He thanks them all for being here today for him, and he just wants to let them know that he is there for them. Not just today, but every day! A lot of people ask about the growing numbers of the Family, and Don says they are doing it for one reason: power! And to protect the interests of each and every one of them!

Numbers are power, and Don doesn’t like terms like, “Work stoppage,” “Picket line,” but he is prepared to do whatever it takes to get what this family and what each of them needs. That is his promise and his gift to them. Now speaking of gifts, what to open first? The Protostar says hold on, because first, he has a very special surprise! He unveils the TV screen to show a message from Konosuke Takeshita! Okada hits play on the remote for The Alpha to say he is sorry he couldn’t be there in person. But he also isn’t just going to say Happy Birthday.

Konosuke knows Callis has done so much for his career, and now he will win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship for Callis and The Family. He hopes that he can make- Okada stops the video?! Callis asks what happened, and Okada claims sorry, wrong button. Well, all good, guys! Let’s toast! It is predictable, though: To family! They all clink glasses, drink up, and indeed, Konosuke is the NEW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion! And now with WrestleDream on the horizon, will The Alpha & The Rainmaker become a Two Man Power Trip? Or will Brodido stop the Callis Family’s conquest of AEW?

Six Man Tag: Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express VS Hechicero, Josh Alexander & Mark Davis!

Don Callis of course goes and tells Justin Roberts to “callete” on this, because he has an “important announcement.” It is his pleasure to welcome back to The Don Callis Family the Pride of Australia! The dingo didn’t eat your baby, it’s Dunkzilla, Mark Davis! Then, the greatest technical wrestler in the great history of Canada, the man who snapped the leg of Kota Ibushi like a twig! It’s the Walking Weapon, Josh Alexander! And then the one of one, from the great country of Mexico, ladies and gentlemen, this goat is muy loco and muy caliente! “Yo… soy… HECHICEROOOOOOO~!” The Alchemist of Lucha now makes his entrance, and they head to the ring.

Despite Callis’ bad Spanish, it is true that these three men are going to step up for The Family against The Beast Bout Machine and his new allies. But can Kenny trust Jack Perry & Luchasaurus? Or are they all too focused on their own goals to win tonight?

Dynamite returns as fans wave their hands and sing along with Jurassic Express’ entrance. Then Kenny makes his entrance to join them, getting quite a bit of pyro. Callis is on commentary and he blames Ibushi’s injury on Kenny for putting his friend in such a situation. The teams sort out and Omega calls out Alexander for how things went down on Collision. The fans cheer Kenny on and Alexander obliges. The bell rings, but then Alexander tags out to Hechi! The fans boo and Omega is annoyed, but he and Hechi circle. They tie up, Omega headlocks, but Hechi switches to a waistlock. Omega wrenches free, wristlocks, then pushes Hechi down to get a chinlock.

Hechi trips Omega, rolls but Omega rolls through, only for Hechi to flip him over. Cover, ONE, and Hechi facelocks, only for Omega to wrench right free. The fans cheer the standoff as the two reset. They step up, and Hechi drop toeholds so hard, Kenny falls the wrong way! Kenny writhes, Hechi KNEES Kenny’s leg and then rolls him into a body scissors and cover, TWO! Kenny shakes out the bad leg, goes to the ropes, but Hechi wants right after him! Hechi stomps Kenny, the ref counts, and the fans boo. Hechi drags Kenny to center to GROUND DRAGON SCREW! Hechi then drags Kenny up, wrenches and wristlocks.

The fans rally as Kenny wrenches and headlocks in return. Hechi fires knees and powers out, then drops down to HIP TOSS! Kenny is right back up, he ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Alexander KNEES him int he back! The fans boo, Alexander backs off, but Kenny dodges! Hechi almost wrecks Alexander with his dropkick! Then Kenny PLANCHAS and down goes Hechi! The fans fire up, but Alexander is right there! Kenny chases him off, but Davis CLOBBERS him! The fans boo but Alexander drags Kenny up and into the ring. Callis calms down now that his guys mug Kenny, and Hechi drags Kenny around to spinning toehold!

Hechi drags Kenny back over, tags in Davis, and then Davis tags Alexander. They stand Kenny up to double whip him to the corner. Davis runs in and LARIATS! Hechi STEP-UP KNEES! Alexander SPLASHES! Alexander snapmares Kenny and he rains down fists! Then he pushes Kenny down for a KNEE DROP! Kenny crawls but Alexander keeps him from Jurassic Express. Alexander puts Kenny in a corner, wraps the bad leg around ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Kenny fires haymakers in return, but Alexander kicks the leg! Kenny ELBOWS alexander, then SLAM DUNKS him! Hot tag to Jack! The fans fire up as Perry fires off on Alexander!

Jack whips Alexander corner to corner, then he tags Luchasaurus! LARIAT from Jack to Alexander, feed to Luchasaurus’ LARIAT! The fans fire up, Luchasaurus drags Alexander up, but Alexander fires body shots! Alexander reels Luchasaurus in, but Luchasaurus suplexes first! FALCON’S ARROW! The fans fire up with Luchasaurus, and Jack calls to him. Jack tags in, Luchasaurus scoops Alexander to SLAM, then KNEE BOARD SENTON! Cover, TWO! Jack stays on Alexander but Alexander shoves him down to get the leg! Jack BOOTS free, Davis tags in! Jack ducks ‘n’ dodges, sunset flips, but Davis stays up!

Claudio runs up and UPPERCUTS Darby right down! The fans boo and Moxley just shakes his head. Darby is crawling down the ramp now, determined to reach Moxley. But then Pac BOOTS him down! Darby is still crawling! Darby flops against railing but he makes it to his feet, only for Yuta & Garcia to mug him! Darby doesn’t even register it, he’s just going towards the ring! The Death Riders are at a loss for words but the fans rally behind Darby. Marina BOOTS Darby down! Darby finally stops crawling, but he’s still stirring. Moxley mocks the fans, they boo him, but wait! Darby reaches up over the apron! Darby is like a zombie!

And now Conglomeration is back on their feet! They brawl with the pawns while Darby gets in the ring with “The King.” The fans fire up for Darby, and he pulls out something from inside his jacket. Darby presents the AEW banner, just as he mentioned earlier tonight. Darby grabs Moxley’s mic to say, “It’s never too late, Jon… to say ‘I quit.'” Darby turns things around on Moxley, but Moxley just hits a DEATH RIDER DDT on the banner! Harley Cameron VS Megan Bayne w/ Penelope Ford!

The Wild Aussie made the save for Willow Nightingale in Jacksonville, and now they will battle The Megasus & Superbad Girl for the “Tailgate Brawl” this Saturday before WrestleDream. But will Harley make sure Megan feels the wrath ahead of time? Or will she be made to #BowDown?

Oh, well of course FTR & Stokely Hathaway enter out here with their “Top Gods” teammates. They all go to the ring together, and #BigStoke already has a mic. The fans boo as Stoke hands the mic to Megan. Megan says, “Willow, how does it feel knowing that you came out here and gave it everything that you had, only to realize that it still wasn’t good enough?” The fans boo more, but Megan smiles as she says, “Now look at you. Trying to dust yourself off, tag in a new friend, and take another swing at the Megasus. You think that makes you a fighter, but really, it just makes you stupid.” The fans boo more but Dax tells them to respect Megan!

Megan says she must not have beat it into Willow hard enough. So maybe watching her tear Harley apart tonight will finally make Willow quit. It may be fun to play hero, but Willow’s fate will always be the same: Bowing down to Megan! The fans boo more, Stoke is given the mic back, and he says, “I cannot articulate how much I hate Willow Nightingale. But I can articulate how much I hate Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey! Backstage interview with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens.

Alicia Atout is with the Not Acclaimed, and says they’re on a quick win streak of 2-0. The Pride of Pro-Wrestling says that’s where Alicia is wrong, because a real win streak is three wins, and they’re never tagging together again. He is not tagging with the most delusional person in AEW. But Caster says he agrees, they’re never, ever tagging together again, no matter what. That is fortunate, because Caster also hates sharing the ring with someone as smug as Bowens. All these framed pictures, it’s ridiculous! Well, Bowens is glad Caster brought that up, because Bowens has added another one! He was the face of the Fenty Beauty campaign!

These two argue again, Alicia says okay, she understands where they’re coming from, but it doesn’t seem like they have much choice in the matter. Oh, of course not! Tony Khan does! As the Pride of Pro-Wrestling, Bowens begs TK to never put them in a match again. Caster asks TK to never put him in the ring with Bowens period, because Caster has autonomy over his body. Bowens and Caster continue to bicker, then they leave, and Alicia says, “Ladies and gentlemen: The Acclaimed.” Bowens storms back over to say NO, do not say that! It is Bowens and Caster separately! The Pride of Pro-Wrestling and The Best Wrestler Alive, NOT a team, NOT the Acclaimed!

The two storm off again, but are they really done with each other forever? Or are they just lying to themselves?

Firstly, with Hurt Syndicate VS Demand escalating, it has now been upgraded to a TORNADO Trios Match! Will nothing stop these two teams from destroying each other? Plus, with everything we saw to open Collision, The Death Riders and The Conglomeration will now have an 8 Man Tag! Can Cassidy, Kyle, Roddy & Ishii all make sure Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac are unable to help Moxley? Or will there be no stopping The Death Riders’ resurgence in AEW?

Six Man Tag: Mark Briscoe, Brody King & Bandido VS Kyle Fletcher, Rocky Romero & Lance Archer!

The Sussex County Chicken and The Protostar will #ManUp and have their fifth singles match against each other this Saturday, the TNT Championship on the line. Meanwhile, the AEW World Tag Team Champions will give Konosuke Takeshita & Kazuchika Okada a title match of their own. Can Briscoe, Brody & Bandido all be sharp and ready going into WrestleDream? Or is everything gonna come up Don Callis Family?

Callis again joins commentary to quote Wu Tang Clan: “We bake the cake, and then we take the cake.” The trios sort out, Kyle starts against Briscoe as our preview of the TNT title match. They step up, talk a bit of trash, but then Kyle tags out to Azucar. Briscoe and Rocky tie up, Rocky knees low, then he CLAWS Briscoe’s face! The ref counts, Rocky stops to whip, but Briscoe reverses to CLOBBER Rocky! Briscoe fires fast hands, then runs, only for the Murderhawk Monster to knee him low! Briscoe snarls at Archer, but Rocky CLOBBERS Briscoe from behind! Rocky fires hands, tags Archer, and they mug Mark. Archer ROCKS Briscoe!

Archer whips corner to corner, Briscoe goes up and out, then Briscoe ducks haymakers to UPPERCUT back! Archer staggers, Briscoe runs in, and fans tell Callis off when he hasn’t even done anything, yet. Briscoe waistlocks Archer, Archer switches, but Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Archer staggers, Kyle tags in, and now we get the TNT title preview! The forearms fly, Briscoe ducks to CHOP! And ROCK! And CHOP again! Kyle puts Briscoe in the corner to fire off shots! But Briscoe CHOPS again! And again! Briscoe fires shots, then HEADBUTTS! Briscoe whips and ROCKS Kyle at the ropes, then snapmares to basement BOOT!

Kyle sputters and flounders, the fans fire up, and Briscoe tags in the King of Death! Brody tags The Outlaw, and they whip Kyle to a corner. Brodido sends Mark in for a LARIAT! Bandido hits as SPLASH, and Brody adds a LARIAT! Kyle staggers into a scoop and SLAM! Then Brody scoops Briscoe to SLAM him onto Kyle! And then Bandido runs, wheelbarrow and SPLASH onto Kyle! The fans fire up, and Bandido gets Briscoe to HEY~ MACARENA while Collision goes picture in picture.

Brody still refuses to join in, but Bandido gets the fans to fire up some more. Tag to Briscoe, he drags Kyle up, and he reels Kyle in for a suplex, only for Kyle to block! Kyle suplexes, Briscoe lands out, but Kyle elbows him! Briscoe UPPERCUTS, then fireman’s carries! Kyle fights free, lifts, and LAWN DART in the corner! Briscoe sputters, Kyle tags Archer, and Archer storms up on Briscoe. Archer stomps away, but stops as the ref counts. Archer intimidates the ref, then taunts Brody by doing the macarena! But then Briscoe fires hands! Archer DECKS Briscoe! Archer whips corner to corner hard, and Briscoe slumps down.

Archer stomps Briscoe, tags Rocky in, and they mug Briscoe. Rocky snapmares Briscoe, runs side to side, and he basement DROPKICKS! Rocky slides for his soccer celebration, and even Kyle joins in on the shimmy. Rocky goes back to Briscoe, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Kyle. Archer holds Briscoe in place, the ref counts, but Kyle BOOTS Briscoe. Kyle then brings Briscoe around, scoops and SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Briscoe is tougher than that but Kyle wants a faster count. Kyle stomps Briscoe down, then bumps him off buckles. Kyle climbs up and eggs the fans on before he rains down fists! Kyle goes to TEN, then “apologizes” that the ref’s count is 4.

Kyle brings Briscoe around for another scoop and SLAM, then he clamps on a chinlock. Briscoe endures, fights around, and he rises up. Collision returns to single picture as Briscoe fires body shots. Kyle KNEES low, then he sucker punches Bandido! He also sucker punches Brody, but Brody doesn’t budge! Briscoe fires off on Kyle, CHOPS and forearms, then he runs, but Kyle dodges! The shots go back and forth, Brody gets the edge, then he runs, but Archer BOOTS him! Archer runs, but Brody swats a lariat to ROCK, CHOP, and ROLLING ELBOW! Briscoe and Kyle keep on brawling like the match is still going! Are they going to brawl all the way to St. Louis? As for #Brodido, they hold up the tag titles, but wait! CLØN is here! But he’s just a distraction! OKADA CLOBBERS BRODY! The Unified Champion uses his own belt to take out Brody! Bandido fires off hands, then he gut wrenches! But Okada slips free, and RAINMAKER!! Okada has wiped out the tag champions, and he holds up the tag titles as if they’re his own! Will he and Konosuke Takeshita go on a Two Man Power Trip in St. Louis? Or will the sibling rivalry cause them to fall apart at the seams?

My Thoughts:

An awesome three-hour supershow from AEW, but kinda odd how this is the best example in SIX YEARS of material where things actually moved really well. That is, until FTR had to talk in the Collision segment. But JetSpeed interrupting and giving a fun brawl was a good, logical move. Megan VS Harley was a great match, great showing for Harley but of course Megan won out. As it stands, Tailgate Brawl probably sees FTR beat JetSpeed so that FTR can go for the tag titles, and then Harley & Willow beat Megan & Penelope, with Penelope most certainly taking the loss. And good promo from Eddie & Hook to hype their own Tailgate Brawl match, and surely an easy win. I wonder if it ends up Bowens and Caster after their “we’re so not teaming again” promo…

At the same time, they treated this like it really was a separate Dynamite and Collision, meaning we of course got more Death Riders than we needed. Moxley and Darby had a great cinematic promo of them in that prison visitation setting, but I just knew someone would beat up Darby for Moxley. And while Claudio VS Roddy was an awesome match that ended fair and square, it’s a bit disappointing that Garcia & Yuta were all but handed the win by their Death Rider teammates. But hey, at least we’re getting an 8 Man for the Tailgate Brawl. I feel like Marina will be a factor there, as usual, giving Death Riders that win.

Darby in zombie mode was good stuff, and with Moxley standing tall, Darby winning at WrestleDream would make sense. This win would be the perfect comeuppance for everything from before his Mount Everest trip, and it helps Darby head for a title, any title, on the road to Full Gear. Plus, it adds some intrigue to the Death Riders story: How does the faction react if their leader doesn’t win? Or rather, Moxley would be losing again, from losing the title to Hangman to losing this “battle for AEW” to Darby. The Death Riders have hit their critical point, paralleling Bloodline in WWE, so something’s gotta give.

Great match from Hurt Syndicate VS GOA to start this whole night, though that was a rather clunky way to allow Ricochet to cheat. The tornado rules addition to this will basically make this the same as that chaotic Street Fight from Homecoming, but who knows how this goes given the factions are tied. Very good match from Hayter VS Skye, good win for Hayter, and then very good promo from Thekla. Hayter VS Thekla will be great, but I would think it’s mostly to give us our Women’s Blood & Guts teams in the aftermath. That is to say, regardless of who wins (though I am leaning towards Thekla), we’ll see Triangle of Madness, Megan & Penelope fighting Hayter, Aminata, Harley, Willow, and perhaps a pleasant surprise for the fifth, like a returning Thunder Rosa or something.

Great Trios title match for the Dynamite main event, and I’m pleasantly surprised to see Joe didn’t lose focus with Hangman ringside. A shame for LFI but maybe they can circle back around or something. Joe and Hangman had a good stare down, but I feel like Hangman makes it through the match and finally wins Joe’s respect with it. And naturally, a lot of great stuff with the Don Callis Family. That birthday party vignette was good stuff, namely with Okada being passive aggressive towards Konosuke. Great Six Man Tag for Kenny & Jurassic Express to win over Alexander, Hechicero & Davis. The Bucks of course sneak attack, but it fits that Kenny & Jurassic Express turned the tables. I would think then that The Bucks find a way to cheat and win that $500,000 jackpot…

And the main event of Fletcher, Rocky & Archer VS Briscoe, Brody & Bandido was an awesome closer, and another great win for the Faces. However, I feel that means Fletcher retains the TNT title. Okada standing tall over Brodido without Konosuke most certainly means Okada and Konosuke will fall apart so that Brodido retains the tag titles. That would give us Okada VS Konosuke for at least the Unified Championship at Full Gear, with Brodido dealing with FTR for the tag titles, also all awesome stuff.
