NXT Tag Team Championships: Saquon Shugars & Osiris Griffin VS Swipe Right w/ Jackson Drake!

DarkState does not sweat the new kids on the block, but perhaps that’s because they know Tony D’Angelo is looking to check them off his list one by one. Will “Sugar Man” and “Big O” be able to focus on Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes? Or will Swipe Right go from rookies to reigning champions in record time?

Winners: Swipe Right, by pinfall (NEW NXT Tag Team Champions)

DarkState took their eyes off the prize, and Tony D strikes again! Jackson Drake has his WWE Evolve Championship, Swipe Right has the NXT Tag Team Championships, Vanity Project is GOLDEN! But will this celebration continue all the way to the main event and Ethan Page defending his gold?

Backstage interview with Myles Borne.

Speaking of the main event, Sarah Schreiber is with the man who will challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship, and this could be the biggest night of Myles’ career. But more than that, Sarah wants to talk about last week and what Myles did to Ethan Page to get this title match. Myles says he made Ethan give Myles this match. Plain and simple, Myles smashed that leg because Ethan didn’t think he had it in him, but he did. Myles wasn’t supposed to make it to the WWE, but he impressed at his tryout during a COVID global shutdown! And here he is in tonight’s main event!

The odds are stacked against him, with Ethan Page being “the greatest North American Champion of all time.” It’s impossible, right? Like how it was supposedly impossible for Myles to walk onto a D1 football field without a single year of experience, but he balled out. Ethan’s been needling Myles, poking at him, trying to guide him down some path, but always away from Ethan’s title, because Myles is the one man who can beat Ethan Page! Myles is the one man who can take that title! So tonight, Myles isn’t in over his head, he’s right where he belongs! How’s he supposed to let someone else tell him what he can’t and cannot do?

Tonight, Myles will no longer just be “the deaf kid, Myles Borne.” Tonight, he will be known as the NEW North American Champion! Myles is determined as ever, but will he shine under the spotlight? Or will All Ego make sure that the boos are deafening?

Keanu Carver VS Sean Legacy!

The biggest and baddest man in Evolve knows the most courageous and optimistic man in Evolve very well. They’ve gone back and forth, and now bring their grudge to NXT! Will the One Man Demolition Crew carve a path to the top? Or will Legacy make sure NXT is Super?

NXT returns as Keanu waits in the ring while Sean makes his entrance. The bell rings and Sean DROPKICKS! Keanu stays up so Sean fires hands! Keanu shoves Sean away, but Sean dodges Keanu! Keanu ends up on the apron but Sean GAMANGIRIS him down! Sean then builds speed and WRECKS Keanu with a dropkick! Sean then builds speed again, and DIVES into a forearm! Keanu drags Sean up and puts him back in the ring. Keanu stalks Sean, drags him up and THROWS him back out! Sean flounders in front of commentary but Keanu goes out after him. Keanu fireman’s carries Sean to then pop him up and SNAKE EYES off the apron!

The ring count climbs but Keanu puts Sean in at 6 of 10. Keanu rolls in, then stomps Sean down! Keanu stomps Sean around, talks trash, then KICKS him to a corner! Keanu digs his boots in, but stops as the ref counts. Sean BOOTS Keanu, but Keanu DECKS Sean! The ref checks Sean as he sputters, and Sean is somehow still in this. Keanu drags Sean up, pops him up to a fireman’s carry, then pops him up again for a RIB BREAKER! Keanu talks trash on Sean, drags him up, and fireman’s carries for a THROW! Sean flounders away to a corner but Keanu storms right up on him. Sean CHOPS Keanu again and again, then ROCKS and CHOPS!

Keanu picks Sean up, puts him on the ropes, but the ref counts. Keanu SHOVES Sean down to the floor! Sean sputters, the fans go nuts, and the ref starts a count. But Keanu goes out, lines up a shot, and runs in, but inot a SUPERKICK! No repeat from that wild pounce weeks ago! Sean POSTS Keanu, SMACKS him off the desk, then puts him in the ring! Sean climbs up, springboards, and 450 SPLASHES! Cover, TWO! Keanu survives, goes to a corner, but Sean GAMANGIRIS! Sean shoves Keanu away, then springboards again for a MISSILE DROPKICK! Keanu flounders, Sean cravats, SLICED- NO, Keanu SLAMS Sean down!

Keanu whips Sean, then POUNCES! The fans fire up again and Keanu brings Sean up! Suplex and DRILLER! Cover, Keanu wins!

Winner: Keanu Carver, by pinfall

Keanu shows he has more weapons in his arsenal, making the most dangerous man even more dangerous! Will anyone be able to stop his path of destruction?

The NXT Women’s Locker Room is buzzing.

Wren Sinclair is so excited to see Jacy Jayne VS Sol Ruca tonight, but that #ZaRuca drama is wild, too! Zaria’s jealous, but then she helps Sol! So weird, right? Kendal Grey says yeah, it’s like a real-life reality TV show. But while they can’t be sure who will be champion after tonight, Kendal vows to make her way back to the title picture. For now, Kendal will support Wren’s efforts. The Women’s Speed Tournament is Wren’s opportunity to bring more gold to the #WrenQCC. That means they study up with Blake Monroe VS Thea Hail, then hit the mats to get ready for Nikkita Lyons. Wren says it’s a three minute match! There’s no time to think, only react!

Wren has to go, watch the clock, and- Kelani Jordan interrupts everything by saying yes, she made history again! She knows Wren & Kendal think they’re technical wizards, but if you wanna see how things really get done, watch back how Lani made THE Lola Vice tap out. Yeah, she’s the first woman to do that ever! Lani beat Lola at her own game, and all Lola could do was cry about it. Kendal asks if Lani is really telling her about technical wrestling. Um, Lani is looking at her. So that’s why she’s the Standout while everyone else is just on standby. But then Lola BOOTS Lani right down!

The locker room keeps these two from scrapping here and now, but what will it take to finally put things between Standout and Vice City to rest?

WWE Speed Championship Triple Threat: Jasper Troy VS Elio LeFleur VS Eli Knight!

Speaking of that need for Speed, a rare time limit draw during the tournament gave Robert Stone the opening to think outside the box. So instead of the MonStar taking on one or the other, he will now take on BOTH the Sky Slicer and Disrespectfully Athletic. Will he be able to survive the seven minute time limit? Or will we get a new champion one way or another?

NXT returns and Knight makes his entrance to join Jasper in the ring, followed by the French luchador. The bell rings and Elio runs up, but Jasper ROCKS him! Jasper then ELBOWS Eli down, but Elio jumps on! Jasper RAMS Elio into a corner, then he FLAPJACKS Eli! But Elio goes up to CROSSBODY, only for Jasper to catch him! Jasper pops Elio up to a fireman’s carry, then a gorilla press, then he THROWS Elio out onto Eli! The fans fire up while both men are down on the outside, but Jasper goes out to fetch them. Jasper puts both challengers in the ring, but Eli runs up and gets a boost for the DROPKICK!

Jasper stays on his feet so Eli returns the favor and gives Elio a boost into the DROPKICK! Jasper falls, then Eli aims to PLANCHA! Jasper catches Eli, but Elio DIVES! But Jasper catches him, too!? Jasper SHOVES Elio away, then aims for a post, but Elio saves Eli! Together, they RAM Jasper into the apron! Then into steel steps! The fans cheer while the big man is down! Elio and Eli then look to each other, and they get in the ring! Eli ducks a kick, Elio blocks a kick, then Elio spins to ROLLING ELBOW! Eli wobbles, Elio whips, but Eli handsprings up and over! Eli then dodges and DROPKICKS Elio down!

The fans fire up for Eli as he scoops and SLAMS Elio! Eli hits the TIGER WALL MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Elio survives and we’re two minutes in. Eli runs up, Elio blocks the gamangiri! Eli jumps the leg sweep but the EDDY GORDO KICK finds him! Elio then goes up, up, and he brings Eli in! Deadlift ANARCHY! The fans fire up while Eli bails out! Then they chant “OUI! OUI! OUI!” Elio goes up, ARIHARA MOONSAULT! down goes Eli, but Jasper’s back! And he THROWS Elio into the apron! And again! Jasper pushes Elio into the ring, then he picks Eli up to APRON BACK SUPLEX onto Elio!

Eli flops to the floor while Elio staggers in the ring. Jasper BLINDSIDE LARIATS Elio! We’re three minutes in as Eli MISSILE DROPKICKS Jasper! Eli then runs up on Elio, but into a BOOT! Elio goes up, uses Eli as a step, and he FLYING RAN- NO! Jasper tops the rana to POWERBOMB Elio into Eli! The fans fire up, and Jasper guzels Elio! CHOKE SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Elio survives, but Jasper sends him to a corner. Jasper runs in, Elio dodges, and Eli runs up to GAMANGIRI Jasper! Elio BOOTS Jasper, then goes up and out! Elio springboards, FLYING KNEE! Jasper staggers around, so Eli adds a FLYING LEG LARIAT!

The fans fire up as we now hit four minutes! Eli tells Elio to get going, and Elio builds speed, but into a LEG LARIAT from Eli! Cover off the trickery, TWO! Eli hurries to a corner and goes up, but Jasper SHOVES him down! Jasper then goes up!? The fans go nuts already, but Eli is back! He BOOTS Jasper, and Elio goes up! SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB! Then an ELBOW for Eli! Elio goes up to then triangle jump APRON DDT!! The fans go nuts while Elio goes up! 450 SPLASH on Jasper! Cover, TWO!! We hit the two minute warning while the fans fire up! Jasper crawls to a corner, “This is Awesome!”

Elio slips free of that, too! Elio returns to tilt-o-whirl HEADSCISSOR LEG DROP! Jasper is down, but Eli MOONSAULTS onto him! But Elio takes the cover!! ELIO WINS!!!

Winner: Elio LeFleur, by pinfall (NEW WWE Speed Champion)

With a minute and 11 seconds to spare, the Sky Slicer snipes the victory! Will LeFleur take this title higher, farther, and go faster than ever before?

Ricky Saints talks with Ethan Page backstage.

The Absolute talks about his guest spot on CW’s Wild Cards, and asks if All Ego saw him. Ethan says yes, he did see Saints. And Saints got a beautiful bouquet of roses from CW cuz they love him. Everyone loves him! Speaking of love, Saints is a little worried about Ethan’s ankle. Ethan says it’s no big deal. They could amputate his leg and he’d still defend the title tonight. Ethan says Myles Borne is the type that cracks when the lights are the brightest. But then in steps Vanity Project, showing off the new belts! Ethan says the gold looks great on them! Brad says all they had to do was listen to Ethan and look at them now!

Only a month in as NXT superstars, and they’re already tag team champions! But wait, now they’re a trifecta of champions! Saints says yeah, that’s really good. New tag team champions, Drake’s still Evolve Champion, and Saints will go to Vengeance Day to beat Joe Hendry and become a TWO-TIME NXT Champion. Things are looking pretty good for them all. Speaking of, it is about Ethan! And things might be a bit weird with the bad ankle. But regardless of what Myles has planned, they all will make sure Ethan remains THE longest reigning North American Champion EVER! Ethan asks, “Who’s got it better than us?” NOBODY!

The egos are just growing exponentially, but will they completely dominate NXT? Or will Myles prove that pride comes before the fall?

NXT presents Chronicle: Joe Hendry.

The Prestigious NXT Champion says, “What people think is an overnight success is actually a lifetime of hard work trying to put the puzzle pieces together. Ricky thinks I’m a meme, but I know exactly what I am, and I am the sum of all my parts. A man who’s lived multiple lifetimes to get to this point, a WWE superstar, an NXT Champion. As a kid growing up in Edenborough, Scotland, I loved WWE. But it felt like an impossible dream, so I threw myself into my hobbies. I was doing judo, theater, I was playing live music, and by the time I graduated from university, I had a Masters in Business & Marketing, a blackbelt in judo, and I was touring Europe as a musician.

“But deep down, I knew something was missing. So it was New Year’s Eve, 2013, at the age of 24, I finally made the decision to pursue my dream of pro-wrestling. I started training in Glasgow, and that’s where I met Robbie Brookside. And thanks to him, I got my first WWE tryout after only a year. I knew I wasn’t ready then, I didn’t fully believe in Joe Hendry, but I kept at it. I knew I had to sharpen my skills, so that’s why I picked up amateur wrestling, as well, at a relatively late age. But because of my judo background, I was able to win two gold medals at the British Championships.

“I also started tapping into my musical background and I started creating musical parodies for my opponents. And I was just trying to do anything to generate some buzz for myself, but it was really starting to work. And before I know it, I’m wrestling some of the biggest names all across Europe. I’m wrestling Cody Rhodes, Kurt Angle, Drew McIntyre, and before you know it, I’ve written my own theme song, I’ve recorded it, I’m streaming, I’m podcasting, I’ve used everything that I’ve learned from my marketing degree, and this is all starting to work. I’m starting to build my name, I’m building my popularity, I even made it to America. Everything’s going great, and then the world shuts down.

“When you’re that close to achieving a dream, you have two choices: you can give up; or you can keep believing. And I used that time to reinvent myself even more.” In steps the concept of, “Say his name and he appears…!” Hendry went blonde, he bulked up to 265, and when the world opened back up, he used the last of his savings to buy his own visa and get back to the US so he could sign with TNA. Finally, Joe Hendry believed in himself, now it was just to get everyone else to believe. This is just part one of the Joe Hendry story, stay tuned for more!

DarkState regroups, and they’re angry!

They can’t believe Tony D just cost them the gold! They’re shoving stuff over, hitting walls, and shouting for Robert Stone! But Lola Vice says wait in line, she’s talking to Stone first. Plus, Tony’s gonna handle their dumbasses anyway. Lola storms into Stone’s office and asks if he saw what went down with Lani earlier. Lani thinks she can get away with what she did to Lola’s hand?! That she can hang in Lola’s element?! Stone asks Lola to please calm down, and to use English for his sake. Lola says put her and Lani in the UNDERGROUND! Whoa, is she sure? Lola says just make the match, he’s the GM now.

Stone says yeah, the WWE Universe would want that, too. So it is official for Vengeance Day! Lola VS Lani, in the Underground! Lola thanks Stone, then heads back out. Will Lani regret ever adding fuel to Lola’s fire?

NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne w/ Fatal Influence VS Sol Ruca w/ ZARIA!

NXT has been under the Influence for quite some time, and the Toxic Rockstar is drunk off power. But just when they thought #ZaRuca had fallen apart, they held it together, and now the Agent of Change has her best bud’s back! Will Jacy get her soul snatched tonight? Or will Sol’s wave of momentum crash against the rocks?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who truly deserves the spotlight!

BUT THEN ZARIA SPEARS SOL!?! Everyone is shocked, especially Jacy! Zaria then fireman’s carries for the DELTA FORCE!! Zaria says NOW they’re done! Zaria storms off, Jacy shouts for the bell, and the bell rings! Sol stands, into the ROLLING ENCORE!! Cover, JACY WINS!!

Winner: Jacy Jayne, by pinfall (still NXT Women’s Champion)

Jacy celebrates like she actually did something tonight, but it’s Zaria who handed this to her on a silver platter. And then Zaria drags Sol outta the ring! And then fireman’s carry for DELTA FORCE on the desk! Zaria sits Sol up to tell her that snatch this soul, b*tch!! The fans are torn, just as this friendship has been torn apart once and for all! What happens to Sol now that she’s been betrayed and beaten down? And who will get their shot at Jacy Jayne and the title now?

Tatum Paxley speaks.

“My entire life, I have twisted myself into knots just trying to find love. I crave acceptance, trying to be exactly what somebody else needed of me. I thought maybe if I could just change a little bit more, if I could just be perfect, maybe somebody would stay. And they didn’t… But in that loneliness, I learned to finally start listening to all of you!” The fans cheer as Tatum stands up from her seat in the crowd, and she says the fans never asked her to change! They never wanted some watered down version of Tatum, they wanted Tatum! And for the first time in her entire life, because of the fans, she has felt REAL love!

Tatum walks through the crowd as she says they all accepted every little weird part of her. Which is why when Tatum beats Izzi at Vengeance Day and gets her hands on the NXT Women’s North American Championship, and she holds it close and never lets it go, that title won’t just be hers, it will be OURS! Tatum tells Izzi that she’s begging her for one last conversation- Izzi says maybe then Tatum will wake up. Izzi walks in through the crowd, and she says Tatum will realize not even her dreams are enough! Tatum to her core will never be enough! The two rush each other, but refs hurry to stop this! And then Blake Monroe makes her entrance!

The Glamour steals the spotlight from Tatum and Izzi so that she can have her first-ever Women’s Speed Tournament match! But will her first be memorable? Or will the Grown Ass Woman break her in three minutes or less?

Women’s Speed Tournament: Blake Monroe VS Thea Hail!

The moment Thea’s in the ring, Blake runs up! Thea dodges to waistlock while the bell rings, but Blake elbows free. Blake swings, Thea dodges, and Thea hits a THESZ PRESS! TWO, but Thea backslides! TWO, and Thea scoops Blake to WORLD’S SMALLEST SLAM! Then SOMERSAULT SENTON! The fans fire up with Thea as she shakes the ropes! Blake sits up, begs for mercy, but she ducks a buzzsaw! Only for the HEEL KICK to hit! Cover, TWO!

Blake survives but Thea drags her up to snapmare and DROPKICK! Blake flounders out but Thea grabs the hair! The ref counts, Thea lets go at 4, and they argue while JAIDA HIP-NOTIC OUTTA NOWHERE!! Miss Parker puts Blake in at the two minute warning, and Thea hits the ROLLING NECKBREAKER! Cover, THEA WINS!

Winner: Thea Hail, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

The fans and Jaida applaud, and Blake is at a loss for words! While Thea moves on in the tournament, will Jaida and Blake have their own round two soon enough?

NXT presents Chronicle: Joe Hendry, part 2.

When he finally made it to TNA, it was like starting from scratch, but he was ready for the climb. The fans got behind Hendry as he got himself into world title contention, and he noticed that his song was blowing up. “Say his name and he appears!” Yes, he became a meme, but he studied up on YouTube how to get his song charting. His song hit #1, then he made his first NXT appearance. That became the most viewed video on Twitter/X that year, and the puzzle pieces were falling into place. He won the TNA World Championship, he appeared in the Royal Rumble, and he even appeared at WrestleMania. Even AJ Styles was surprised to see a TNA champion on a WrestleMania card.

Hendry says he still knew all roads were leading to NXT. Hendry knew for years that the WWE Performance Center was the place to get him ready. He put all the work in and he finally became NXT Champion in that ladder match. Most guys like Ricky Saints think Hendry is just a song and a smile, but Hendry knows who he is, and that is THE NXT Champion! He believes in Joe Hendry. If you’re thinking that this kid from Scotland might just have what it takes, then give him a chance, because you never know where the next WWE superstar will come from. NXT believes in Joe Hendry, but will Joe Hendry succeed at Vengeance Day?

Jacy says there’s no doubt about it now, she IS better than Sol Ruca! On to the next challenger! But then Zaria steps in their way to say, “You’re welcome.” Since she helped Jacy keep that title, Jacy owes her. Lainey says Jacy doesn’t owe Zaria a damn thing! Jacy says the bell rang, she pinned Sol, end of story. Zaria says sure, Jacy “beat” Sol, but she’s never beaten Zaria. Jacy escaped her title match tonight, now Zaria wants hers. And she wants it next week. Or she’ll do to them what she did to Sol. Will Zaria single-handedly change the landscape of NXT? Or will Jacy and her team find a way to keep NXT under the Influence?

Ricky Saints & The Vanity Project regroup in the locker room.

They’re all still feeling great after everything tonight, and now they’re ready to go out to a bar or club tonight wearing their new gold. And also, they had a chill Wild Cards watch party the other night, and if Smokes may say… Emmy worthy! Saints is incredible! Nothing short of absolute! Saints hits the pose, and asks if there’s anything he can’t do. Probably not! It’s crazy. But also speaking of, did they see that Joe Hendry biography tonight. Afraid so. Saints knows he can do all those things way better than Hendry can. And well, Hendry’s got a concert, but Saints is gonna have his own Absolute Experience next week!

Everyone is invited, they’re all fired up, but Saints wants them to hold on. For now, Saints must go to the stage and practice! They tell Saints to go farm that aura! Drake then has the boys huddle up. Check it, last week, they helped Ego retain his title, so this week, same plan! But then Hank ‘n’ Tank step in and the Vanity Project get a sour look on their face. What is that smell?! Hank Walker says that smell is what Belly Boys do best. Tank Ledger says it is meaty mechanic stuff! Or, maybe a shower? In steps Shiloh Hill with a steering wheel and he says honk honk! Shiloh, is that BRAD’S steering wheel!? Oh, impressive optical recognition! It is!

WHAT?! They took it out of his car?! Well, Vanity Project took away Shiloh’s shot at the North American title, so they took apart Brad’s car. You can’t blame Hank ‘n’ Tank, though, they were just doing what Shiloh said. Brad starts to cuss Shiloh out but Shiloh has him hold the wheel for a second. Then the brawl is on! Security and refs hurry in and peel these trios apart! But will the Big Belly Boys and #ToothlessAggression show what happens when you try to run them off the road?

Backstage interview with Robert Stone.

Sarah Schreiber is with the Interim NXT GM to say this was quite the eventful night to say the least. Stone says yes, we have a NEW Speed Champion in Elio LeFleur, NEW Tag Team Champions in Swipe Right, and we still have the NXT North American Championship main event. Sarah asks what can we look forward to next week. Stone says normally, he doesn’t reward bad behavior, but… Given Jacy Jayne accepted Zaria’s challenge, we will see Jacy VS Zaria for the title. Plus, he just confirmed a Six Man Tag, Hank ‘n’ Tank with Shiloh Hill VS The Vanity Project. And  yes, Saints will be hosting this “Absolute Experience” so…

Izzi Dame storms in and says we all heard what Tatum said out there, so let it be known that Izzi is willing to sit down with her for a face to face. But if Tatum so much as lays a finger on Izzi, their Vengeance Day match is off! Stone says everyone is looking forward to that match, and he will talk with Tatum. However, they’re talking about Tatum! Izzi says exactly. The It Girl heads out, but will Tatum behave herself to get the fight she really wants?

NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page VS Myles Borne!

All Ego is working to break the records of most defenses and longest reign as North American Champion, but he almost got his ankle broken last week. Will the damage done get in Ethan’s head? Or will he be able to steal Myles’ smile one more time?

NXT returns as Myles makes his entrance. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see breaks first!

The bell rings and the two stare down. The fans chant, “SILVER MEDAL!” in reference to USA VS Canada in the Olympics, and Myles asks if the leg’s feeling alright. Ethan frowns, then he and Myles tie up. Ethan powers Myles to a  corner, backs off as the ref counts, but Myles dodges the cheap shot! Myles ROCKS Ethan, ROCKS him again, then UPPERCUTS! The fans rally as Myles stalks Ethan to a corner. Ethan hits back, Myles CLUBS him, and they throw hands! The fans fire up for Myles as he UPPERCUTS again! And again! And again! Myles UPPERCUTS Ethan off his feet! The fans cheer while Myles stands Ethan up.

Myles whips corner to corner, Ethan goes up and over, but the bad leg jams! Ethan dodges Myles, but Myles blocks a kick! Myles looks at the bad foot, even as Ethan swipes at him! Myles taunts Ethan, then trips him, before a DDT to the foot! Ethan writhes but Myles stomps the bad foot! And KNEE DROPS on it! The fans rally while Myles stalks Ethan, then stomps the foot again! Myles gets Ethan up, has the leg, and hits a SHIN BREAKER! Ethan hobbles but Myles reels him in for a snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Ethan clutches his ankle area but Myles brings him up. Ethan fires body shots, then wrenches free to ROCK Myles!

The fans boo but Ethan ROCKS Myles again. Ethan brings Myles around to CLUB him down, then he shakes out the leg. The fans boo Ethan as he brings Myles up again. Myles trips Ethan for a standing toehold! The fans cheer while Ethan endures! Ethan kicks and kicks and kicks, but Myles stomps the leg! Myles then steps through, but Ethan BOOTS him out of the ring! Myles storms back in but Ethan hits him for a SWINGING NECKBREAKER! The fans rally up, Ethan suplexes, but Myles slips free! Myles reels Ethan in for an ANGLE SLAM! Ethan stumbles out of the ring, but Myles WRECKS him with a dropkcik!

Ethan hits the desk and Myles storms out after him, but Ethan YANKS Myles into the desk! The fans boo as Myles goes down, but Ethan hauls him up! Canadian Rack, and EGO’S EDGE on the desk! Myles sputters and the fans go nuts while NXT goes picture in picture.

Ethan hobbles around, then he brings Myles off the desk. Ethan THROWS Myles into the steel steps! Myles writhes, Ethan drags him up, and Ethan puts Myles in the ring. Ethan covers, TWO! Ethan still clutches the bad foot but he shakes it out before he stomps Myles! Ethan CLUBS Myles, then JUMP STOMPS him at the ropes! A bit double-edged there but Ethan walks it off. Ethan drags Myles up to throw down fists, then he clamps on a chinlock! Myles endures and fights around while Ethan squeezes tight! Myles fights but Ethan shifts to a headlock. Myles still stands up, pries at the hold, and throws body shots.

Myles is free, but Ethan reels him right back in for a forearm to the back! Ethan then CLUBS Myles down! Ethan runs and basement DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Ethan clamps back on with a chinlock. Myles endures all over again as Ethan squeezes tight. Ethan leans on the hold to keep Myles down, but the fans continue to rally. Myles rises again, fights the hold, and throws body shots as NXT returns to single picture. Ethan CLUBS Myles down again, but the fans still cheer Myles on. Ethan hobbles as he seethes, and he brings Myles up again. Myles blocks a shot to ROCK Ethan! And ROCK Ethan again!

Myles fires haymakers to back Ethan down, then whips him to ropes. Myles LARIATS Ethan, LARIATS again, then wrenches and UPPERCUTS! Myles reels Ethan in for a FISHERMAN ANARCHY! Cover, TWO! Ethan survives but Myles stays focused. Myles drags Ethan up, fireman’s carries, but Ethan fires elbows! Ethan waistlocks, Myles elbows free, and Myles whips. Ethan reverses, but Myles BOOTS back! Myles goes up but Ethan pulls hair! Ethan drags Myles onto his shoulder, but Myles slips free! EYE OF THE HURRICANE! Cover, TWO! Ethan survives again and Myles grows frustrated. Myles clamps on, but Ethan RAMS Myles into the corner!

Ethan gets space, but Myles runs up! They clinch, Ethan scoops, and POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Myles survives and shakes his head. Ethan is frustrated but he brings Myles back up. Ethan lifts but Myles fights that! Myles trips Ethan, trips him and jackknife bridges, TWO! Ethan ROUNDHOUSES Myles! Myles staggers but Ethan reels him in! Another Canadian Rack, another EGO’S EDGE! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up as Myles survives! Ethan is beside himself, and he hurries to bring Myles up. Ethan puts Myles in the corner, CHOPS him, but Myles fires a haymaker! Ethan fires back, they brawl, and Ethan ROCKS Myles!

Myles sits in the corner but Ethan stands him up. Ethan puts Myles up top, ROCKS him again, then HEADBUTTS! Ethan shakes the bad leg out before he climbs, but Myles fires hands! The fans rally as Myles ROCKS Ethan again and again until he drops down. Ethan ROCKS Myles in return! Ethan climbs back up, goes to the very top, and he hits a SUPER DUPER PLEX!! The fans fire up while both men are down! Ethan crawls for the cover, TWO!! Myles survives again and the fans are loving it! Myles and Ethan stir while the fans rally up. Ethan fires a haymaker, but Myles fires back! Ethan fires another, but so does Myles!

The shots go back and forth, the fans cheering Myles and booing Ethan! But then Ethan throat chops! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ethan RIPCORDS Myles up, but Myles DROPKICKS back! Ethan rebounds, CONFIDENCE BREKAER! But Myles hits BORN AGAIN! Both men are down, and VANITY PROJECT rushes out here! The fans boo as Swipe Right distracts the ref, and Drake CLOBBERS Borne with the Evolve title!! Ethan crawls to a cover! TWO?!?! Myles survives the Vanity Screw Job! And then Shiloh, Hank ‘n’ Tank rush out here! They beat up on Vanity Project like they did backstage!

The fans fire up as this brawl goes to the back, but RICKY SAINTS is here?! He climbs a corner, aiming for Myles, but JOE HENDRY is here! They said his name earlier, and he appears at just the right time! The fans cheer as Hendry goes after Saints now, but Ethan lifts Myles again! Canadian Rack, EGO’S- NO, Myles slips free! He shoves Ethan, Ethan ELBOWS back! Wait, that buckle pad is loose! Ethan lifts Myles, TWISTED- NO, Myles SHOVES Ethan into that bare buckle!! Then BORN AGAIN!!! Cover, MYLES WINS!!!

Winner: Myles Borne, by pinfall (NEW NXT North American Champion)

The Vanity Project tried to stack the odds, but it all backfired on them! Myles finally has gold in NXT, and his family is here to celebrate with him! Myles proves he was truly born for this, but will Ethan ever live this down?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT with a stacked card, but sadly had to be done at the “NXT Arena” in Orlando and NOT Atlanta’s Centre Stage Theater. It was all to go along with the buzz of the AJ Styles retirement celebration last night on Raw, but “logistical issues” cancelled the show. I wonder if that’s code for poor ticket sales. A shame given the wild changes to the status quo. Zaria costing Sol the title match even before the match really started was wild, I thought it would’ve been during. But I suppose that would’ve been the expected move so they changed it up a bit. And now Zaria wants her shot at the title, and I would think Sol gets her revenge. Best case scenario, Vengeance Day is a Triple Threat title match. But more likely, it’ll just be Sol VS Zaria in a grudge match and Kendal gets her rematch.

Very good promo from Kendal, Wren, and Lani for Lola to then attack. Lola VS Lani in an Underground match at Vengeance Day is going to be great, and could go either way. And honestly, the loser can finally move up to main roster while the winner can go for a title at Stand & Deliver. Izzi and Tatum had a very good promo tonight, and they’ll have a very good “face to face” next week ahead of their title match. Very good segue from the promo to Blake VS Thea in the Speed tournament, and great moment for Jaida Parker to cost Blake. Wren VS Lyons for next week probably goes Lyons’ way, and then Thea can be the underdog that wins the tournament.

Great Triple Threat Speed match for the men’s title, and an awesome win for Elio LeFleur through this. There won’t be time for a tournament to set up something for Vengeance Day, but maybe they’ll aim for Roadblock, or even Stand & Deliver in Vegas. Very good match from Keanu VS Legacy but oddly not on the level of anything they’ve done in Evolve. Feels like they’re pushing Keanu much better here on NXT than they did in Evolve. Very good match from Uriah VS Kale, and great win for Uriah through it. Birthright is growing stronger as a faction, and I liked the cameo of Dempsey and Tavion. Hard to say if Dempsey really will join up with Birthright, but maybe he should to keep afloat on the card.

And we got great connection of stories through The Vanity Project. Very good “Chronicle” on Joe Hendry, though still not quite as good as those old “Prime Target” vignettes. Very good promos from the full group of Saints, Ethan and Vanity Project, and the “Absolute Experience” will certainly be interesting. Swipe Right winning the tag titles because of Tony D was expected, but still great stuff for them. Then setting up the Six Man Tag was a fun promo, and that match could go either way. And we got a great match from Ethan VS Myles, and really good stuff in the overbooking. to keep Ethan strong even in defeat. This is a great moment for Myles, but I would think there’s a rematch at Vengeance Day to see if Myles can retain the title. There’s also Roadblock and Stand & Deliver, though, maybe he and Ethan can hot potato the title for a minute.

My Score: 8.9/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 3.5.2026

Two title matches tonight! Do they amount to anything?

Published

on

Coming off the worst show in a few months, but still tolerable, we get a Live show today. Now we know that most TNA shows have audio run by a high school AV club, so there is bound to be muted audio, dumb stuff and mics that aren’t on. So we can only hope the show is good regardless of audio.

I don’t really love two perceivably useless title matches though. Jody Threat is not a threat to anything beyond catering. She’s trash and has no shot against Arianna even if there wasn’t going to be cheating. Plus Nic already has the trophy for a World title shot, so giving him the X Division makes no sense.

Lets see where this goes.

Ratings:

  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jody Threat vs Arianna Grace (c) w/Stacks: Arianna retains via Roll-Up – *
  • The System vs The Righteous vs Sinner & Saint vs BDE & Rich Swann: Bear wins via Fire/Thunder Driver – ***
  • Elayna Black vs Mara Sade: Elayna wins via Knuckles – ** 1/2
  • TNA X Division Championship: Nic Nemeth w/Ryan vs Leon Slater (c): Leon retains via Swanton 450 – *** 1/4

Results:

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jody Threat vs Arianna Grace (c) w/Stacks

Tessa’s music hits right after Arianna’s and it blended gorgeously. Tessa’s crew looks amazing especially Tessa. So I’m…not upset.

Arianna attacks Jody as soon as the bell rings, Jody does turn it around into Short Arm Lariats in the corner and an Exploder Suplex. But then Dani Luna walks out through the crowd to watch. I do like that the muddied Knockouts title picture is being put on display. Indi Hartwell walks out too. Arianna lays in some trips and knees after Jody gets distracted. Twisting Neckbreaker from Arianna and we see Lei and Xia on the ramp too. The whole Knockouts Division are circling like sharks…it’s cool and all the Knockouts look great.

Jody fires but the crowd doesn’t really care. They aren’t reacting to her, just kinda amusing themselves. Double Knees, Release German into a Michinoku Driver for two. Stacks pulls out Arianna allowing Jody a Dive spot to wipe out Stacks. Arianna and Jody tug of war over the Cobra, Arianna wins the tug of war, kicks Jody in the ribs and Roll-Up retains!

The match was useless because Jody sucks and isn’t a real threat. So it was fine to give Arianna a title defense, but there was no way Jody was winning and this still made her look bad.

The Elegantos walk out, Mr. E is wearing Daisy Dukes. Literally, not figuratively. The only way this dude will be salvageable is if he ends up being Kurt Angle in the ring. They start insulting Mama June who’s in the audience, and they say she should be at a Food Truck. So ODB shows up. The Elegantos continue to talk shit, ODB takes them out, kicks Mr. E in the nards and her with the Mama June cast dump Chilli all over the Elegantos. A dumb stop, but ODB is a TNA Legend and I think she was talking about retiring this year. So it’s always nice to see One Dirty Bitch.

The System vs The Righteous vs Sinner & Saint vs BDE & Rich Swann

BDE starts with one of the loser jabronis, they tag the other in, Rewind Suplex into a tandem Dropkick, but then Rich tags in Bear Bronson takes a Blind Tag, wipes out Rich and BDE, Jabronis do a stupid assisted Dive spot but BDE and Swann get their spot in and then Dutch does his big boy Tope con Hilo. The crowd likes it but I don’t care about the car crash spot.

Dutch and Righteous have some tandem offense, but Bear with another blind tag, Choke Bomb from Bear on Vincent for two. A few more stomps before tagging to Myers and then Vincent starts to fight up but Myers cuts him off. Bear tags back in, tandem Suplex gets reversed into a Double Neckbreaker and the match breaks down a little. Jabronis get laid out by Swanny, Frankensteinering one into the other for two. Nerds double team Swann, but they suck so Rich eventually rolls out of it, BDE tags in, his Oscutter gets caught and simultaneous Lariats for the random tag spot. Vincent tags in, but BDE Small Package gets two. Dutch and Vincent with an Assisted Cutter and everyone else breaks up the pinfall.

Vincent with a DDT/Flatliner combo after the mayhem, Roster Cut and Spear from Myers, Bear with a Fire/Thunder Driver for the win!

Decent enough, the right team won anyway. Jabronis are trash, BDE & Swann are too new and Righteous is in a weird spot while we just saw them get a shot.

Moose and Alisha come out to address things. Moose says The System ain’t family, and shouts out his former Falcons teammates in attendance like John Abraham. Moose is bringing decent intensity, he’s just tripping over a lot of his punchlines.

Elayna Black vs Mara Sade

Collar and elbow tie up, running each other into ropes before Elayna tries to take advantage of the break, Mara turns it around but then Elayna finds a spot to hit her own chop. They’re both throwing a lot of personality and countering the others stuff. It’s basic but not offensive. Elayna dodges a Plancha, but Mara catches herself which is clever, but then Elayna trips her on the apron and she crashes down. So both are showing clever spots. Chop into a Rope Bounce Stomp for a near fall.

Elayna connects with a Fun Splash into the ropes, then kicks Mara in the face multiple times before goading the crowd and peppering in Elbows before a near fall. Elayna gets a Bow and Arrow locked in, with Mara fighting through it. Mara throws a few punches into Lariats, and a Slingblade. Mara is  on a roll, Springboard Crossbody from Mara for two. Mara wanted a Double Arm DDT, but it’s blocked, Mara ole’s Elayna’s charge, Dropkicks her to the outside and throws her back in after the Plancha. Missile Dropkick for good measure and Mara is in full control.

Elayna finds an avenue to stop Mara’s offense with a DDT. She powders and grabs a chair. During the referee taking the chair, she uses the knuckles she had hidden, lays out Mara and wins the match.

Honestly okay match, and the BS finish means there’s a chance to get more out of it. They seem to work well together.

Audio issues continue to plague this show and TNA Live events in general. Kaz and Elijah is an okay King’s Speech segment. Elijah does like these mid promo cutaways, which is funny yet hampered because of audio issues. Devolves into Kaz basically just title mogging him, then AJ Francis chucks Home Town Man off the stage into the audience level and Elijah goes to check on him in typical babyface fashion.

TNA X Division Championship: Nic Nemeth w/Ryan vs Leon Slater (c)

Nic with a quick Head and Arm cradle for a near fall and a few quick amateur wrestling spots. Leon tries to fight back, the wrist tape to the face shortcut from Nic, before Leon Dropkicks Nic out of the ring, Dives, rolls Nic back in and Ryan trips up Leon on the way back in so Nic hits the FAMEasser for a near fall. Nic follows up with the Boot Lace Rake and moving into deliberate pacing with shortcuts, thumb to the eye, measure Leon as he stumbles for a Dropkick and another near fall before the commercial kicks in.

Coming back from commercial Leon counters the Irish Whip straight into the turnbuckle and Nic goes crashing. Leon runs the ropes, takes Nic’s Head off, Spiderman Rebound Leg Lariat for a nearfall. Leon goes to the top, Nic hits the ropes to crash Leon and big Implant DDT for a two count. Leon slow to get up, Danger Zone almost, Lethal Injection counter, almost, Nic runs into Leon and Leon catches him with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count.

Leon heads back to the buckles, 450 nope, Superkick nope, Rewind Mule nope, FAMEasser, but Leon grabs him, hangs him and Styles Clash. Leon goes to the top, 450 but eats the knees! Nemeth locks in the Rear Naked Choke. Leon turns it into a near fall so Nic has to break it for a second, he tries to reapply but Leon drops back to break the hold. Leon fires up, kicks off Ryan, charges and eats a Superkick! Only a two count though. Nic shoves Leon into the corner, perches him. Wants the Superplex, but Leon counters with an Avalanche Final Cut.

Swanton 450, and Leon retains.

Eric Young attacks Leon after the match, Piledrivers him on the outside and then poses with the title before what is probably the last commercial break of the night since Mike Santana needs to talk.

Santana wants Maclin reinstated, sexy SUIT heel shows up and says “Fuck you, but its a good idea”. So she agrees to reinstate Maclin and then Santino makes the match for Sacrifice. Santana is happy but says it’s on sight, and commentary is flabbergasted because they gave Maclin what he wanted.

Overall Score: 5.5/10

While the title matches had no suspension of disbelief, all the correct people went over. The tag team 4 way was haptic but solid with the correct winner. I don’t like Leon but beating Nic is correct. The Elegantos were a decent joke spot for the Legend + crowd interaction moment. Elijah with a new cutaway interview gimmick could be great if mic’d correctly. Lish cheerleading Moose in some cuckhold ass beating angle is hilariously embarassing for the time we live in. But I would still prefer that over Lish doing the obvious thing by turning on Moose when it gets to Eddie’s turn to get his ass beat.

Lastly, Maclin proves that complaining gets you everything. So hooray for negative reinforcement!

Still an okay show honestly. Decent matches, nothing really dragged the pace down.

Backstage interview with Adam Priest & Tommy Billington.

Lexy Nair is with the Modern British Bulldogs, and she brings up their success as a tag team, as well as their recent success in singles matches. Adam apologizes for interrupting but he wants to talk about that. They have dominated in tag matches and singles matches, but Tommy had Jay Lethal squirming and ready to tap. But of course, The Swirl comes out to screw Tommy over. And they will handle that business, but tonight, they’re back in tag action against The Workhorsemen. And the thing is, those guys taught Adam everything he knows, yet they come up short against Adam Priest. Now, he’s pretty sure Tommy has words for Jay Lethal.

Tommy says that’s right. He tells Lethal that Lethal might think they have unfinished business, but no, they don’t. Tommy treated Lethal like a brother, Lethal was a mentor to him, watched his back when no one else did. But the thing is, once Tommy & Adam are down with the Workhorsemen, they go after Lethal. Either it’s Tommy or Adam, but they will end this with Lethal! So watch your back! Adam thanks Lexy and the Bulldogs head out. Athena is backstage.

The Fallen Goddess smiles as Billie Starkz is up to something just around the corner, but then she spots the cameraman. “Oh, snap! Come here! Let’s go!” Athena pulls the cameraman into the room, and Billie has finished beating up Deonna Purrazzo! Athena tells Maya World that well, her petty is stronger than 50 Cent. She doesn’t take losses lightly. And not only did Maya “betray” Athena, but she threw her hat in with this hussy instead of her “Minion Mother” and “Minion Sisters.” This is a lesson: You mess with Athena, you embarrass her, and she claps back twice as hard! But sweet, sweet Pure Champion Deonna, your time is coming to an end!

Because Billie is not gonna disappoint Athena again. She will make history again as she becomes the first woman to have held ROH Women’s TV AND ROH Women’s Pure Championship. And this isn’t personal, but just know this is Athena’s show, and Deonna is a side character. Athena & Billie leave Deonna down and out, but will they reign over ROH no matter what it takes? Or will they regret talking down to Maya and the Virtuosa?

La Faccion Ingobernable speaks.

Sammy Guevara hushes everyone before he says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk. Sammy Guevara & Beast Mortos have been an el fuego, baby! And that means ‘fire’ in Spanish. We have been undefeated as a tag team. Personally, I believe we are one of the greatest tag teams to walk the face of this earth. Me personally, I’m on my THIRD consecutive reign as ROH Tag Team Champion, without ever losing it! Back-to-back-to-back, never before seen in professional wrestling! But now Tony Khan, he told us we are forced, contractually obligated, to go and defend these titles.

“So here’s an open challenge! To any former world champions, former world tag team champions! Whether it’s this week, next week, the week after, it doesn’t matter, because the result is always gonna be the same. And after we kick your ass, don’t try to sue us, because this man is a shoot lawyer! So if you need a lawyer, call 1-800…” Mortos adds, “ROOOAR~! See you in court, hahaha!” Sammy says step up, or get stepped on! LFI is infinitely confident, but will they still be tranquilo once someone answers the call?

Okada indeed made it rain, washing away Fox’s dream of holding gold. But will Okada have this same luck when he faces someone at 100%? Or will nothing stop the Don Callis Family from running both AEW and ROH?

My Thoughts:

A great ROH here to begin their new studio show era. The crowd wasn’t the biggest, but I feel like ROH didn’t advertise very well. That is to say, AEW didn’t help ROH advertise this change, no one officially announced it, it just happened. Just another reason TK needs people helping him with everything. Also, can they not do a FULL two hours? We need to keep it at 90 minutes max, but more preferably an hour on average. Two hours should be reserved for “special episodes,” which this did fall under.

Anyway, very good matches all over, great showings for everyone. Perse of course beat Leon, and that CMLL Women’s World Championship match with Mercedes Mone will be great, but I can’t be sure of Perse’s chances. Sidney Akeem continues to do creative, innovative things in the ring, he and CLØN need to have a match just to break the minds of everyone watching. The ROH Tag Division is clearly growing stronger, even if it is maybe quantity over quality. Top Flight gets a great win off GYV, and their interaction with “Paid In Full” clearly teases a match there. Bill & Keith of course won, but I’m not even sure that new name makes sense.

Very good promo from Adam & Tommy to call out “The Lethal Twist,” and they got a very good match and very good win over The Workhorsemen. Good to see Juice Robinson is cleared for action, he and Austin Gunn got a good win off MXM. Very good showing for Zayda against Mina but Zayda has now lost to both Love Bombs. The promo from Good stuff from Lacey VS Robyn, with a very good win for Lacey. I forget all of who have lost Proving Grounds to Red Velvet but I wouldn’t mind seeing Lacey battle Red Velvet real quick.

Athena, Billie and Deonna was good, and it’s about time they officially declared Deonna VS Billie. Athena calling out Maya World again is good, but given they’re doing a Proving Ground first, I feel like they could give Maya that win, and then she ultimately loses in the title match. Athena hasn’t lost any singles match, even a Proving Ground match, in the entire three years she’s been champion, so at least give Maya that achievement.

And great stuff with the “double main event.” I’m still not much for “Four Corners” where you tag in and stuff, just give us a flat out Fatal 4 Way where everyone’s active at once. It turned into that before Menard was eliminated anyway. But Fox winning out was great, he’s been needing wins beyond the “money prize” matches. Okada being the “random” champion was awesome, definitely unexpected. But of course Okada won, Fox went through a very tough match just before that, and also he’s Okada. Fox needs to feud with Nick Wayne now that Nick is back, and Fox should take the TV title off him. Nick had that title the entire time he was injured, TK didn’t bother making an interim title for it like he did the women’s title, so time to get a new champ.

My Score: 8.8/10
