He welcomes us and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to the show, and he stands at the table for the AEW World Championship contract signing. Wait, why is the pyro going off again? And a lot of it, too… Schiavone keeps trying to introduce things, but CHRIS JERICHO IS BACK?! Winnipeg fires up as the Learning Tree, the Demo God, the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla, the inaugural AEW World Champion finally returns! Fans still sing along with Judas as the pyro continues to go off, and Jericho smiles as he heads down the ramp and to the ring. Jericho revels in the moment as the fans finish singing, then fires the fans up more as they cheer him on.

The fans then chant, “Welcome Back!” and Jericho finally gets a mic. Jericho smiles and says, “Winnipeg! AEW! I’m home.” The fans cheer that! Jericho leaves it there as he smiles and Judas plays him out. Almost a full year away, and what a time for him to return! Will Jericho make sure he doesn’t just return to AEW, but return to the top?

Will Ospreay attacks Jon Moxley backstage!

Despite the match set with The Bastard later, the Aerial Assassin is going after The Maniac now! Ospreay fires forearms, knees, and elbows, but then Wheeler Yuta rushes in! Ospreay fires off on Yuta now! Then THROWS Yuta into kegs! Security rushes in, they back Ospreay off, and Marina Shafir even storms in! The Problem is pissed but Ospreay says if he found Moxley tonight, he WILL find him again! Ospreay leaves for now, but will he just make an example out of Pac tonight?

MJF heads to the ring.

Getting things back on schedule with the contract signing, the Scumbag AEW World Champion now makes his entrance. MJF takes his seat right away, and now the #1 contender, Kenny Omega, makes his entrance! The fans cheer their hometown hero, but MJF says whoop-de-doo. MJF checks his watch, but it’s Kenny who has more business after this with that Six Man Tag match. Kenny is already in ring gear as it is, and he goes to the ring to join MJF at the table. MJF doesn’t even say anything as he signs his part of the contract. Kenny shrugs and does the same. MJF then says great signature there, bud, but-

Kenny stops Max there and says please, shut your mouth. Since we’re in Canada, Kenny will say it in French, “ferme ta bouche.” The fans cheer, and Kenny says this isn’t gonna be one of MJF’s high school playwrights. Kenny knows the kind of man MJF is, and has a pretty good idea of what MJF rehearsed in front of the bathroom mirror, looking at himself and thinking to himself, “Oh, boy, am I hot stuff!” What with his nice shades, nice suit, his scarf, his belt, and beautiful new hair plugs. But Max, it isn’t going to work that way this time. It won’t go the way MJF planned. And MJF has said since the beginning, the numbers, the ratings, the people!

All these people must be here for MJF! They must be here to cheer for the champ, right? The fans boo that, but Kenny says that’s what MJF believes, that’s what he hot their boss to believe, and he even tried to make Kenny believe that. But Kenny is not that stupid. He knows every single person here tonight is NOT here for MJF, they are here to watch the best wrestle! The fans cheer that! Kenny continues by saying that when he signed the contract and tossed his pen aside, he didn’t sign up for an exchange of words. What Kenny is interested in is the title MJF holds.

And when Kenny was two minutes away from DEATH, less than 24 hours, when Kenny addressed his friends, his family, and his fans as he brought up a real-world problem that plagued his life, those fans stood by him. They always knew they wanted something better than M J F. MJF calls himself the best? The Devil? Kenny never called himself anything more than a pro-wrestler, but hey, Max, if Kenny is the antithesis to what MJF is, then maybe Kenny will be the God of Pro-Wrestling. Because someone needs to knock MJF down a peg, someone needs to STRIKE MJF down, and make sure that MJF is never, EVER close to that title ever again! And Kenny will be the one to do it!

The fans cheer Kenny on, but MJF just brushes that off. MJF mockingly applauds Kenny, which the fans boo. MJF then says, “You heard it here first, folks! Kenny Omega, Winnipeg’s own, huh? Yeah!” MJF puts his feet up and says this is Kenny at 100%. MJF laughs but says no, sorry, that’s rude. MJF could sit here and talk about how Kenny’s neck, shoulders, and knees are aging as badly as the bags of milk these stupid Canadians drink out of. The fans tell MJF to STFU, but MJF keeps going. He could talk about the fact that much like Kenny’s talentless, injury-prone little boyfriend, Kota Ibushi, Kenny is one strong gust of wind away from retirement.

But MJF won’t do that! That would be easy. What MJF wants to do is talk about the thing Kenny doesn’t want MJF to talk about. The thing Kenny doesn’t want anyone to know. The thing that keeps Kenny up at night. “Ladies and gentlemen, haven’t you been the least bit curious as to why Kenny Omega has been so enamored with winning this world title all of a sudden? So desperate to become world champion? I mean, this guy wants this world title more than anyone, and that’s saying something, because the Triple B is the most sought-after belt in all of professional wrestling. Any guesses, folks? Kenny, you gonna tell them? Or should I? Okay.”

MJF says before Kenny returned to AEW, he had himself a little doctor’s visit, right? Yeah. And the doc took a scan on the stomach, and he had rough news for Kenny. Turns out, Kenny’s diverticulitis is at the point where Kenny’s intestines could explode at any minute, any moment, anytime, anywhere. Scary stuff. Kenny’s stomach is a ticking timebomb. His career, hell, his LIFE, is on a fast-winding clock. Kenny is in a race against time to cement his legacy, but fortunately for Kenny, the news gets worse. See, “God of Pro-Wrestling,” on April 12th, when The Devil is through with you, all your disciples will have no choice but to be embarrassed and ashamed of you.

The fans boo, but MJF says the fans will have no choice but to admit their god is a false idol, who would be better off DEAD! Kenny FLIPS the table, but MJF stands up, arms behind his back. MJF dares Kenny to violate the No Physicality Agreement and lose before the match even begins. But Mike Bailey rushes out here! Speedball calms Kenny down, reminding him of said agreement. MJF tells “Karate Kid” to wax on and wax off out of- Bailey snatches the mic away! The fans cheer as Bailey says we get it! MJF is just goading Kenny into hitting him so that MJF won’t have to defend his title at Dynasty, because MJF is afraid.

MJF laughs that off but Bailey says instead of insulting Kenny, he should be thanking him. Without Kenny Omega, there is NO AEW. And without AEW, there’d be no MJF. The fans cheer that! Bailey says MJF walks around like he’s owed respect, but respect is earned. And MJF needs to respect the fact that Kenny Omega is a living legend. The fans cheer again, and Bailey says MJF’s problem is he thinks he’s on Kenny’s level. But that’s only inside MJF’s mind. So maybe some of that arrogance would go away if Bailey kicked some sense into MJF’s head! Let’s do this here, now, in the greatest country on Earth, Canada!

MJF grabs a new mic but Kenny takes his back up. Kenny says hold on, MJF, should we tell everyone the bad news? Because guess what? Kenny spoke to MJF’s doc, too. So much for HIPAA, right? Because yes, MJF is right, Kenny’s intestines are not what they used to be. In fact, he’s missing about 24 inches of them. But he’d rather be missing his intestines than be missing his balls! MJF says Kenny must think he’s afraid to face Bailey, is that it? Kenny says no, he doesn’t have it in him. Oh, okay, okay, let’s talk. How cute, the Canadians are sticking together. But if Bailey wants MJF tonight, he’s got it!

But MJF will make it crystal clear: He is going to be making an example out of Speedball! And to make another thing clear, Canada is a dump. He hails from the only country that matters, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! And you won’t just be wrestling any MJF, you’re wrestling the American Hero! Well, regardless of who is from where, will Bailey still shove MJF’s ego where the sun don’t shine? Or will Speedball not be on the level of AEW’s Devil? As for Kenny, his opponents are heading this way! Will Ricochet & The Gates take down the Best Bout Machine? Or will Jungle Jack and the King of Death help Kenny reject The Demand?

Dynamite returns as the AEW National Champion makes his entrance, and the fans wave their arms side to side for Tarzan Life! The trios sort out, Kenny starting against The One & Only. But then Ricochet tags out to Bishop Kaun and the fans boo. Kenny and Kaun circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. The fans cheer Kenny on as he powers Kaun back a step. Kaun shifts to headlock but Kenny pries at the hold. Kaun holds on tight, but Kenny steps on the leg to bring Kaun down. Kenny headlocks, Kaun powers up and out, then drops down to hurdle over. Ricochet KNEES Kenny in the back, but runs away again! Kaun CLOBBERS Kenny!

The fans boo but Kaun tags Ricochet, then Ricochet tags Liona. The Demand mugs Kenny while the fans boo and taunt Ricochet for being bald. Liona stops stomping at the ref’s count of 4, then he tags Ricochet. Ricochet stands Kenny up but Kenny CHOPS! Ricochet reaches out but Kenny keeps him from his corner with a back suplex. Ricochet lands out, takes a swing on Jack but Jack ducks. Brody barks at Ricochet, then Kenny BACKDROPS Ricochet away! Tag to Brody, but he and Jack both BLAST The Gates! Kenny helps double whip Ricochet, then Jack sends Kenny in for the ELBOW! Jack adds a LARIAT! Brody adds a SPLASH!

The fans cheer as Brody snapmares Ricochet, then SENTONS! Kenny gives a thumbs up and the fans bark. Brody drags Ricochet to the cover, but Liona breaks it! Kenny and Jack get back in there, it is a brawl of all six men, and things spill outside! Jack goes up the corner, aims at the cluster, and ARIHARA MOONSAULTS! Down goes everyone and the fans fire up for Jack! Jack feeds Ricochet to Brody in the ring, but Ricochet fights the suplex. Ricochet CLAWS eyes, then pumps himself up. Brody suplexes first! But Liona makes the save again! They mug Brody, but then Jack mule kicks Liona!

Brody and Jack work together but Ricochet and Liona resists! Kaun kicks Jack, he joins in, but now Kenny CLUBS Kaun, CLUBS Ricochet, and CLUBS Liona! Kenny joins this mess and the fans cheer for the TRIPLE SUPLEX! The fans cheer again as Kenny’s side stands tall. Brody tags Jack and Jack storms up on Ricochet for a CHOP! And CHOP! Ricochet headlocks but Jack powers up and out. Kaun sneaks a tag, Ricochet whips, and Kaun DUMPS Jack out! Liona POUNCES Jack down! The fans boo but The Demand is in control as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Liona stands on Jack to CHOKE him, Ricochet talks trash into the camera, perhaps directed at Luchasaurus, and Liona puts Jack in the ring. Kaun covers, TWO! Jack toughs it out, but Kaun drags him up to put in the corner. Kaun CHOPS, but Jack shoves him back. Kaun kicks low, throws hands, then CHOPS! Kaun taunts the fans but Jack CHPOS, CHPOS, and CHOPS! Kaun CHOPS Jack right down! Kaun then stomps Jack into the corner, CHOKES him, but stops as the ref counts 4. Kaun drags Jack over, tags Ricochet in, and Ricochet KNEE-BOARD SENTONS! Kaun slingshot SENTONS, then Liona slingshot SENTONS! Cover, TWO!

Jack survives the senton hattrick but Ricochet stomps him down. Ricochet kicks Jack around, rains down fists, but the ref reprimands about closed fists. Ricochet “apologizes,” then ROCKS Jack with a forearm. Ricochet facelocks to keep Jack from his corner, then cravats and snapmares Jack down. Ricochet stands on Jack’s hair and pulls the arms! The ref reprimands but Ricochet steps off at 4. Ricochet drags Jack back and ROCKS him with more closed fists! Ricochet talks trash with every punch, then he stomps Jack back down. Ricochet swipes at Kenny, Kenny dares him to actually try, but Ricochet DECKS Jack! Then Ricochet takes another swipe!

The ref reprimands but he still has to keep Kenny back. Ricochet tags Kaun, Kaun pushes Jack to a cover, TWO! Another cover, ONE! Another cover, ONE! A fourth cover, ONE!! Kaun is furious as Jack toughs it out, and Jack CHOPS! And CHOSP! And ROCKS, and CHOPS, and ROCKS Kaun again! Kaun ROCKS Jack right back! Kaun fires off in the corner while Dynamite returns to single picture. Ricochet tags in, then he tags Liona. Ricochet BLASTS Kenny and Brody off the corner, then he and The Demand whip Jack to the corner. Ricochet runs in and RAMS Jack, then he and Liona LARIAT ENZIGIRI COMBO!

Liona feeds Jack to Kaun’s BOOT, then The Gates DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! They haul Jack up for a DOUBLE SLAM! Liona BLASTS Kenny again, then covers Jack, TWO!! Jack still survives, but Liona drags him over to the corner. Tag to Ricochet and he scuffs Jack. Jack CHOPS back! The fans rally but Ricochet scowls. Jack SLAPS Ricochet! Ricochet stands Jack up but Jack JAWBREAKERS! Ricochet keeps Jack back and CLUBS him! Ricochet shoves Jack to the ropes but Jack hits the COMEBACKER! The fans fire up while both men are down! Jack and Ricochet crawl, hot tags to Kenny and Kaun!

The fans fire up as Kenny rallies on Kaun, on Ricochet, then BOOTS Liona! Kaun dodges the ax handle to kick and whip, but Kenny reverses to fireman’s carry! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” ROLLING SENTON and MOONSAULT! Cover, but Ricochet breaks it! The fans boo but Ricochet also BLASTS Brody down. Ricochet & Kaun double whip but Kenny KICKS Ricochet away! Kenny blocks Kaun’s lariat, but Kaun ducks, sending the ENZIGIRI into Ricochet! Kenny then slips around Kaun to SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX for Ricochet !Liona is back, but Kenny gets the full nelson! Liona breaks free and ELBOWS Kenny!

Liona BLASTS Brody, then runs up on Kenny! Kenny V-TRIGGERS! Brody ROCKS Liona, and Kenny SNAP DRAGON SUPLEXES Liona! Liona flounders into the corner to join Ricochet and Kaun. The fans bark for Brody as he CANNONBALLS The Demand! The fans fire up that three-for-one special, and Kenny covers Kaun, TWO!! Brody and Kenny double whip Kaun, but Kaun BOOTS Brody! Kaun DUMPS Kenny out, then DROPKICKS him down! Brody runs up but Kaun DUMPS him out, too! Kaun HOTSHOTS Brody down, but here comes Jack! Kaun ducks under a lariat to shove Jack to ropes. Jack rebounds, but into Kaun’s LARIAT!

The fans boo, but Liona CLOBBERS Kenny on the outside! And he STOMPS Brody down before he CLOBBERS Jack! The fans boo harder, but Ricochet DIVES into Kenny! Kenny hits railing, then Ricochet DIVES into Jack! Jack also hits railing, and Ricochet DIVES into Brody! Brody hits the desk, but then he gets right back in!? Kaun SHOTGUNS Brody out, then Ricochet goes to the apron. Kaun LARIATS Kenny, hits a RUNNING BRAINBUSTER, and Ricochet springboards for the 450 SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Kenny survives and the fans fire up! The Demand is frustrated, but the hoist Kenny up while Ricochet goes to the apron.

Ricochet aims, but Jack YANKS him down! The fans fire up as Jack then dodges Kaun to SUPERKICK! Liona runs up but Jack DUPMS him out! Jack builds speed and FLIES! But The Gates catch him! Brody DIVES and takes them all down! The fans are thunderous, and now the Terminator Drums start! Kenny builds speed, but Ricochet springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Ricochet then HANDSPRING KICKS Brody down, builds speed and FLIES to take Brody down again! Then he goes right up the corner to aim at Kenny! 450- NO, Ricochet has to bail out as Kenny moves! Kenny V-TRIGGERS Ricochet down!

Ricochet ends up on the ropes, Kenny reloads, V-TRIG- NO, Ricochet dodges! And jumps up to POISON-RANA! The fans are thunderous again as Ricochet and Kenny are down in the ring, everyone else on the outside! The Gates mug Brody, then they whip him into railing! Kaun sends Liona up but Brody dodges! Brody DECKS Kaun, then CROSSBODIES Liona and himself UP AND OVER RAILING! They crash down through the timekeeper’s table!! Even Ricochet is shocked! Ricochet goes back to Kenny, SPIRIT- NO, Kenny dodges! But Ricochet SUPERKICKS! Ricochet then wrenches and ENZIGIRIS!

Ricochet dragon sleepers, VERTIGO DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Kenny lives and the fans fire up again! Ricochet just reloads, but Kaun slides the belt into the ring! Backstage interview with Christian Cage & Adam Copeland.

Renee Paquette notes the hot start to the show, and she has found Captain Charisma & The Rated R Superstar as they make their way into the arena. They already have chairs, and she says things have been intense lately to say the least. What is the plan tonight? Cope says he knows Renee is just doing her job, but tonight is not the night. They’re here to take out FTR. In fact, they’ll take out anyone who gets in their way. Cope stops Cage from swinging, Renee doesn’t count! Christian storms off, Cope apologizes, and then Cope follows after. A-hole or not, will C&C being on edge be just the thing to finally rid them of FTR?

Dynamite returns as Cage & Cope roam the halls.

They see FTR’s name on a locker room door and they barge on in! But instead of FTR, they find Roppongi Vice! Cope demands to know where FTR is, Trent Beretta says rude, they didn’t knock. Cope again demands to know where Cash & Dax are, and Trent says they’re not here, but they will be for Collision, so just relax! Cope says alright, guess they’ll come back tomorrow. Rocky Romero says they can kindly take a message. Cage says RPG Vice is in the way. Cope agrees there. They JAM up RPG Vice, then SMACK them down with the chairs! Cope THROWS Rocky into the road case while Cage JAMS Trent up more! Cope tells them to pass along the message.

Cage then JAMS Rocky one more time! Cope & Cage leave, but just for the next 24 hours. Will FTR make sure they don’t show up for work tomorrow now?

Will Ospreay VS PAC!

The Aerial Assassin got shots in on Moxley earlier tonight, and now he looks to do the same to The Bastard. Will Ospreay satiate his bloodthirst here tonight? Or will Pac play the part of pawn perfectly?

Wait, how’d Pac circle around behind Ospreay on the stage?! Pac CLOBBERS Ospreay, then stomps away at the ramp! The fans boo but Pac suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER on the ramp!  The fans boo but Pac laughs. The ref and medical staff hurry to check on Ospreay and that surgically repaired neck. Pac soaks up the heat while he walks back to the ring. Ospreay snarls, and he tells the medic that they can’t cancel the match. Ospreay insists that he just needs a moment. Ospreay stands, then he storms down the ramp! The fans cheer, but the medic wants him to reconsider. There’s nothing to reconsider for Ospreay, he slides into the ring!

The fans cheer, the bell rings, but Pac BOOTS Ospreay down! Pac stomps away on Ospreay’s head ‘n’ neck! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Pac kicks Ospreay around. Pac CHOKES Ospreay on the apron! The ref counts, Pac stops at 4, then he drags Ospreay up to scoop and SLAM! Then KNEE DROP! Cover, ONE!! Ospreay survives but Pac looms over him while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Pac scuffs Ospreay, but Ospreay stands up to fire a forearm! Pac ROCKS Ospreay back, then NECKBREAKERS! Cover, TWO! Pac kicks Ospreay to the apron, ELBOWS him against the edge, then brings him around to whip him into the railing! Ospreay falls back in a heap but Pac soaks up the heat. Pac talks trash on the fans, then he stomps Ospreay down. Pac kneels on Ospreay to CHOKE him, then he leaves Ospreay behind long enough to refresh the ring count. Ospreay hurries back in but Pac follows. Ospreay CHOPS, CHOPS, but Pac slips around to CLUB him! Then Pac clinches for a REVERSE JAWBREAKER! Er, well, neckbreaker that’s like a jawbreaker?

Pac then clinches Ospreay for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Cover, TWO! Ospreay survives but Pac just seethes. Pac soaks up heat, stomps Ospreay around, and repeat. Pac cravats and cranks the neck wrench, but Ospreay endures. Ospreay fights around, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally up again. Ospreay fights to his feet, swim moves free, then ROCKS Pac! Pac cravats again, but Ospreay swim moves, only for Pac to cravat again! Pac snapmares, but Ospreay handsprings through! And he BOOTS Pac away! Ospreay ROCKS Pac, then springboards to PIP PIP CHEERIO! Both men are down but the fans fire up!

Pac and Ospreay stir, slowly rise up, and Ospreay blocks a shot to ROCK Pac first! And ROCK him again, and again! Ospreay whips, Pac reverses, but Ospreay handsprings through, NEURALIZER! Cover, TWO! Pac survives but the fans rally behind Ospreay. Pac goes to a corner, Ospreay runs up, but Pac ELBOWS him away! Pac goes up, but Ospreay tucks him in! CHEEKY- NO, Pac kicks Ospreay! The fans go nuts, the ref checks Ospreay, and Ospreay grits his teeth while he clutches his neck from that impact.

The ring count climbs, the fans rally behind Ospreay while Ospreay makes sure his arms still work. Pac crawls into the ring at 7 of 10, but Ospreay is still down at 8! Ospreay springs to life at 9 to roll in just in time! But now into a BRUTALIZER!! Ospreay scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Pac holds until 4.5! Ospreay is free but still hurting. Pac has control while Dynamite goes back to picture in picture.

Ospreay slowly sits up but Pac is right on him. Pac kicks him to the apron, then drags Ospreay up at the ropes. Pac brings Ospreay up the corner, but Ospreay fires body shots! Ospreay and Pac trade shots, then Pac CLUBS Ospreay on the neck! Pac ROCKS Ospreay, then stands on the very top with him, for a SUPER DUPER BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX! Ospreay goes tumbling away, but Pac hurries to cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and Pac grows frustrated! Pac eggs the fans on as they rally for Ospreay, and he goes to the corner. Pac climbs up, but Ospreay rises again! Pac just waits, and leaps to MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO!!

Pac is mad now, and he gets in the ref’s face about that count. The ref defends that two is two, so Pac goes back to Ospreay. Pac scuffs Ospreay again as Dynamite returns to single picture again. Pac stands on Ospreay’s neck but the ref reprimands. The fans rally for “OSPREAY~, OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY~!” as he pushes up off the mat! The fans fire up as Ospreay stands up, and he ROCKS Pac! Pac ROCKS Ospreay, but Ospreay just shakes his head! The fans fire up again as Ospreay comes back to ROCK Pac! The forearms go back and forth, faster and faster, then Ospreay roars! The shots are fast ‘n’ furious, but then Pac SOBATS!

Pac runs, but Ospreay TIGER WALL KICKS! Then ENZI- NO, Pac ducks, and he deadlifts for a GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! The fans fire up as Ospreay survives again! Pac huffs ‘n’ puffs and waits on Ospreay. Ospreay rises up, Pac builds speed, and Pac leaps, into Ospreay’s arms! POWERBOMB! High stack cover, TWO! But Ospreay has Pac in position! STYLES CLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay couldn’t hold on because of the neck pain! The fans rally as Ospreay drags Pac to the drop zone, then goes up the corner, only for Pac to trip him up! The fans boo but Pac tells them off for it. Pac climbs up, and he stands Ospreay up!

The fans are going nuts already as Pac SUPER DUPER POISON-RANAS! But Ospreay lands out!! Ospreay runs in, but Pac catches him with a JUMP RANA! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay escapes but Pac gets moving! Ospreay slips through the lariat, reels Pac in, but Pac BACKDROPS free! Again, Ospreay lands out! Ospreay returns, but into a FLAPJACK! Pac runs, runs, and LARIATS Ospreay inside-out! Then Pac scoops for the TOMBSTONE! Ospreay flops into the drop zone and Pac goes up the corner! Pac aims for the BLACK ARROW!! Then the BRUTALIZER!! The fans rally as hard as they can as Ospreay endures!

Pac pulls Ospreay back, but Ospreay pushes up with his legs! Ospreay’s height advantage helps him deadlift Pac on his back! But then he falls back over! Pac tells Ospreay to just give up, but Ospreay refuses! Ospreay kicks and kicks, but Pac rolls him from the ropes! Ospreay rolls it into a lateral press, AND WINS!!

Even Pac is shocked! But now he just CLUBS away on Ospreay’s neck! The fans boo The Bastard being a sore loser, but that’s par for the course with the Death Riders! The ref argues with Pac, but then HIDDEN BLADE takes Pac out!! So now Garcia & Yuta get in there! The fans boo as these two beat up Ospreay, and Claudio Castagnoli steps in, armed with a chair! Moxley & Marina aren’t far behind, and they put the chair around that neck! The fans boo as Moxley steps in. Moxley considers doing it, but then he has Claudio stand down.

Moxley takes the mic to say, “You’re okay. It’s okay. Look at this situation you’ve found yourself in. There’s six of us, Will, how’d you think this was gonna go? Now, did I put you here? Or did you put you here? This could’ve been a real, real bad night for you, Will. But instead, I’m gonna give you a little piece of advice. Next time, use your head. Or you might lose it, permanently.” The fans boo, but Moxley tells Ospreay, “This isn’t personal for me, Will. Don’t make it personal.” The Death Riders spare Ospreay, if only for now. Will the Aerial Assassin not return the favor when he and Moxley finally fight it out?

Six Woman Tag: Mina Shirakawa & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!

The only reason the Fighting Gravure Idol isn’t AEW Women’s World Champion is because The Toxic Spider resorted to brass knuckles behind the ref’s back! Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter don’t let things like that slide, and they’re backing #MinaNow! Will these Brawling Bird Bombs show what it means to not give a flying F? Or will Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue just drag them all down with their toxicity?

The trios sort out and Mina wants after Thekla already. The bell rings, the two talk trash, then Thekla dodges a lariat, and a boot, to then mock Toni Storm’s “closeup.” Tag to Skye, Mina runs up, but Skye BOOTS her away. Skye waistlocks, Mina fights it, then fights free. Skye ducks the uraken to THROW Mina down by her hair! The fans boo but Skye drags Mina up to whip her into the open corner. Skye swaggers, then runs in, but Mina slips outside to dodge! Skye hits buckles, Mina steps in and FLYING CHUCKS! Mina keeps moving, and NECKBREAKER DROPS Skye! Alex BLASTS Thekla & Julia for good measure before she whips Skye. Skye reverses, Jamie sneaks a tag, and Alex atomic drops Skye for Jamie to OBOT! Alex then sunset flips, rewinds, and Jamie basement BOOTS! The fans cheer while Jamie covers, TWO! Skye toughs it out but Jamie bumps her off buckles. Jamie sends Alex in and she LARIATS! Mina runs in for the ELBOW! Jamie ELBOWS, then she tags Mina. Mina trips Skye and slingshots for the TORNILLO SPLASH! Cover, ROPEBREAK! Skye uses great ring awareness but Mina drags her up. Mina fireman’s carries, but Skye fights free! Skye BLASTS The Birds while Julia KICKS Mina!

The ref reprimands but not even Aubrey Edwards has eyes on the back of her head. Skye runs past her to SHINING WIZARD Mina! Thekla adds a BOOT while Skye gets at The Birds again! Thekla DUMPS Mina out, then DOUBLE STOMPS her down! Thekla mocks the dancing, then says kiss this! Thekla puts Mina in for Skye, Skye covers, TWO! Mina survives while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Skye stomps Mina, drags her up, and bumps her off buckles. Tag to Julia and she runs up to ROCK Mina. Juila then wrenches for an STO! Cover, TWO! Julia rains down fists, then pushes Mina down for the cover, TWO! Julia clamps onto Mina with a chinlock and grinds her down. Mina endures, reaches out for her team, but Skye & Thekla hurry around the outside to YANK The Birds down! Julia CLUBS Mina, then runs, but into the ROLLING ELBOW! Mina then rolls to hot tag Alex! Dynamite returns to single picture as the trios go back and forth, getting closer and closer! And then finally, Mina & The Birds TRIPLE SUPLEX! All six women are down and the fans fire up! Alex fires off on Thekla, but Thekla dodges to SLAP! Thekla winds up but Alex blocks the lariat to HEADBUTT! Then Alex stumbles, but Mina tags in! Mina runs up and SHOTGUNS Thekla to the corner! Mina THROWS Thekla around, LARIATS in the corner, then keeps moving to SLINGBLADE! The fans fire up as Mina covers, TWO! Mina drags Thekla around, and she steps through, only for Thekla to BOOT her away! Mina rebounds to SHINING WIZARD!

Skye slips in, full nelson on Mina, SKYE FALL! Alex storms in, dodges Skye, then pops her up, SKY HIGH! Julia is in, and serves Alex some SOLE FOOD! But Jamie storm sin, HAYTBREAKER on Hart! Thekla kicks a leg out, then BUZZSAWS! Mina is back, DOUBLE ROLLING ELBOWS Meet! They both fall and the fans fire up again! A standing count climbs, Mina and Thekla crawl, and “This is Awesome!” Thekla stands at 5 of 10, she drags Mina up, and she whips Mina into the Triangle’s corner. Tag to Skye, then tag to Julia. They whip Mina to the open corner, but Mina BOOTS Julia! And she pops Skye up and out of the ring!

Mina hurries, hot tag to Jamie! The Birds DOUBLE BOOT Julia! Then they line it up, LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they haul Julia up, but Thekla grabs Jamie by the hair! She brings out the brass knuckles! But Jamie blocks the punch to HEADBUTT Thekla down! Alex HEADBUTTS Julia, then LARIATS Thekla! The fans fire up as the Birds set Thekla up, TWO BIRDS ONE STONE!! The fans cheer but The Relentless One has them cut his music so he can call out MJF. Darby reminds MJF that he’s gonna hold the throttle until he sees God or the AEW World Championship! And he hasn’t seen God yet, so he’d like to see The Devil instead! Why are they playing games with the Don Callis Family? It’s because MJF is scared! Because MJF knows Darby is actually willing to DIE for this title! Darby hopes Kenny beats MJF for the title! Honestly, Darby doesn’t care who beats MJF, so long as someone puts an end to this self-centered, egotistical BS run MJF is on! The fans cheer that!

Darby continues into the ring as he says he’d like to have a “little conversation” with The Devil! Get out here, Max!! Darby paces around in the ring, but Don Callis and his family appear instead. The Jackal tells Darby that MJF has paid his family a lot of good money, and has asked they come out here to deliver the message. MJF is a magnanimous man, and so if Darby can win a match at Dynasty against a handpicked member of the Don Callis Family, then after MJF destroys Kenny Omega, he’ll grant Darby his title shot. Don and MJF agree on many things, and one of them is the perfect opponent for Darby to face! The winner is… ANDRADE EL IDOLO!

The fans cheer but Andrade is stunned! Callis says MJF also paid Callis for one more thing: GET ‘EM, BOYS! Lance Archer leads the way for Hechicero and CLØN while Callis talks this over with Andrade. Darby SMACKS the Murderhawk Monster with his skateboard! Darby dares the others to try, and then BRODY AND JACK run out here! The fans cheer as they keep the Don Callis Family at bay, APRON CHOKE SLAM for Clon! Jack TOSSES Hechi into the crowd, then they stand with Darby. Darby is a little wary given his past feuds, but then Kenny Omega makes his way back out here! The fans cheer as Kenny and Darby meet at the ramp.

The Scumbag thinks of himself as the best in the world, from the best country in the world, but we all know he’s just the worst. But will he end up owing a title match to yet another Canadian? Or will this “Real American Hero” win this away game against “Maple Leaf Mike?”

But before the introductions are over, MJF THROWS Bailey off the corner and rains down fists! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but MJF backs off. Kenny Omega is on commentary, and he is not surprised. MJF has a cocky grin as he soaks up the heat, but Bailey says he’s still doing the match! The bell rings, MJF runs up, btu Bailey fires off KICK after KICK after KICK! Bailey rains down forearms, but now he has to back off as the ref counts. Bailey winds up, spins, but MJF uses the ref as a shield! Then he CLAWS Bailey’s face! The fans boo but MJF stomps a mudhole into Bailey. The ref counts, MJF stops, and he soaks up heat.

MJF drags Bailey up, TOSSES him out, then steps out to stalk Bailey. MJF whips Bailey hard into steel steps, then he stares Kenny down. MJF says it’s just a matter of time before this is happening to Kenny. MJF puts Bailey in the ring, then he CLAWS Bailey’s face! The ref counts but MJF shifts into a chinlock. Bailey endures, the fans tell off Don Callis just because, and Bailey fires body shots. MJF THROWS Bailey down by his hair then soaks up the heat. MJF says, “God Bless the Untied States of America!” The fans boo, hard to tell if they’re just booing MJF or MJF and America… MJF drags Bailey up, then wrenches and whips, only for Bailey to block!

MJF tries again and again, but Bailey holds onto the ropes. MJF gives up on that, and the fans chant for “CANADA! CANADA!” Bailey fires off forearms, then he whips, but MJF reverses. MJF then ducks a lariat, and he catches the rana for a POWER BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Bailey survives and MJF seethes. Kenny admits, MJF is still champion because of actual moves like that one. The problem is that MJF happily resorts to underhanded tactics to do it. MJF blows snot at Bailey, then makes fun of him with the crane stance. But Bailey sweeps the leg! No mercy in this dojo! The fans fire up for that as Bailey and MJF rise up.

Bailey fires forearms, then fires up, but MJF dodges one! Bailey blocks a kick, but MJF pokes him in the eye! The fans boo but MJF smirks. MJF runs up, but into a KICK! And then another KICK! And another KICK! Bailey winds up to LIGHTNING KICK! ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up as Bailey then SOBATS, AX KICKS, and BUZZSAWS! Then the STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! MJF toughs it out but he also bails out of the ring. The fans rally for Bailey, Bailey builds speed, and Bailey BOOTS MJF off the apron! Then TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULT! Down goes MJF and the fans fire up again!

Bailey catches his breath, drags MJF up, and he puts MJF in the ring. The fans rally behind Speedball, he springboards, and he MISSILE DROPKICKS MJF! The fans fire up as Bailey kips up, then he goes to the apron. Bailey goes up the corner, watches MJF rise, but MJF rolls away to the far side. The fans boo but MJF is savvy enough to know what to avoid. Bailey storms after MJF but MJF HOTSHOTS Bailey! MJF then turns Bailey, but Bailey backslides him, TWO!! MJF escapes, but now Bailey cradles, TWO! MJF ducks a kick, waistlocks, but Bailey slips free, and he has a straitjacket as part of the sunset flip! TWO!

MJF is up, but Bailey THRUST KICKS! Bailey runs, but into a mule kick, then front kick, then ROLLING ELBOW! MJF roars, runs, but Bailey catches him for a COLLISION COURSE! Cover, TWO!! Both men are down again and the fans are thunderous! “This is Awesome!” as Bailey and MJF stir. Bailey goes to the apron, MJF storms after him, but MJF is still dazed. MJF reels Bailey in, but Bailey slips free to HOTSHOT back! Bailey springboards again, but into a LIGER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Bailey survives the sudden turnaround and the fans fire up again! MJF and Bailey stir, and Bailey rolls to the apron again.

MJF brings Bailey through the ropes, but Bailey fights the rest. MJF CHOKES Bailey for it, then he drags Bailey in for the- NO, Bailey THROWS MJF away, but MJF returns to DROPKICK the legs out! Bailey falls, MJF hits the Hogan pose, then he flips Kenny off! Kenny says this is what we don’t need. It doesn’t aid MJF in the match doing this trash talk. He should capitalize on the great maneuver he just pulled off. Canada mocks MJF’s hair plugs but MJF drags Bailey into the ropes. HEAT- NO, Bailey denies him again, then jumps over the dropkick! MJF slides out, turns around, and the ASAI MOONSAULT brings him down!

The fans fire up as Bailey roars! MJF sputters on the floor while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Bailey rises up, hobbles into the ring, and MJF is just now rising up. Bailey goes back out, and he circles with MJF before he KICKS him down! MJF flounders away but Bailey follows after. Bailey KICKS MJF against the railing! And KICKS him again! And again! And again! Then Bailey winds up and RIDER KICKS MJF down! The ring count climbs as MJF flops over, but Bailey again refreshes the count. Bailey puts MJF in, then stands over him. Cover, TWO! Bailey drags MJF up to wrench, but MJF CLAWS Bailey’s eyes! The ref reprimands but MJF just reels Bailey in. MJF suplexes but Bailey blocks! They fight for control, and Bailey hits a FALCON ARROW!

Bailey hurries to a corner, rallies the fans, and climbs up top. The fans cheer Bailey on as he takes aim, but Bailey is a bit wobbly. He steadies himself, works up the energy, and Dynamite returns to single picture, only for MJF to hit the ropes! Bailey is tripped up and falls to the apron! MJF goes to the apron, has a sinister smile, then he drags Bailey up. The fans rally as Bailey fights the lift! Bailey Alabama Lifts, but MJF sunset flips! Bailey breaks free to APRON KNEE-SAULT!! The fans fire up with Bailey and Kenny says this is his chance! Get MJF in the ring, Bailey! Bailey does just that, and he goes up the corner! ULTIMATE WEAPON MISSES as MJF moves!

Bailey comes back, HELLUVA KICK!! SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! The fans fire up and Kenny says we’ve seen that somewhere before. Bailey aims, spins, but MJF ducks the kick! Then the next! But the HEEL KICK still finds him! MJF staggers to a corner, Bailey runs up, SPINNING GAMANGIRI! Bailey pushes MJF down, then hops up, ULTIMATE WEAPON!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Kenny says again that MJF’s ring awareness is pristine, especially for someone as young as him. The fans rally for Bailey and he drags MJF up. Bailey puts MJF up top, but MJF CLAWS the eyes again! The fans boo but MJF drops to the apron.

Bailey pursues, but MJF runs up, only for Bailey to trip him! The fans fire up for the APRON KNEE-SAULT but MJF moves! MJF then drags Bailey up with a gut wrench, and he stares Kenny down as he hits the APRON TOMBSTONE!! MJF drags Bailey through the ropes, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!” HEATSEEKER!! Cover, MJF wins!

Winner: MJF, by pinfall (denies Mike Bailey a title opportunity)

MJF still stares Kenny down, even as he lefts off the cover. Kenny says that was Herculean from Bailey, but he can’t take anything away from MJF. Kenny acknowledges that MJF won the title because of his skills and his merit, and is clearly ready for Dynasty. But then MJF beats up on Bailey! Kenny storms off commentary, and MJF runs away to hold up the belt from a safe distance. The Devil continues to stoke the flames, but will he be the one burned? Or will he find a way to put the “God of Pro-Wrestling” through his own personal Hell?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Dynamite here, and surprisingly promo heavy to start. Well, at the same time, Jericho’s return starting things off was a pretty good move. They pretended it was technical difficulties, and then surprise, it was just Jericho’s new tron and pyro. Jericho saying he’s “home” with AEW certainly implies he’s gonna be here for a long time, if not for the rest of his wrestling career. Then the contract signing promo still being the opening to the show was fine, because duh, Kenny wasn’t gonna do it after his Six Man Tag. I appreciated Kenny taking charge there, but even then, MJF still angers him to where he almost throws hands.

Bailey going out there was good stuff, and naturally they set up the main event match. While they didn’t have to go this way, it was pretty clever to go USA VS Canada with this. Bailey is Face, and Canada would treat him as such, and then same for MJF as Heel and American. But just like at the Olympics, USA wins again. Kenny was good on commentary, and he of course scares MJF off to close out the show. Good moment for Canada so they go home happy, but that was gonna happen either way. Great Six Man Tag from Kenny, Jack & Brody VS Demand, though. I feel like that combination only happened because Luchasaurus still isn’t healthy and they needed a big man to take his place. For that matter, Brody is the only Face hoss AEW has right now…

Darby wanting after MJF but getting the Don Callis Family instead is fitting for this ongoing MJF-DCF story, and Andrade did a good job acting surprised. Andrade VS Darby will be great, but hard to say who wins out. For that matter, The Don Callis Family is just everywhere these days. RPG Vice taking a beating from Cope & Cage is wild, really establishes them as the bottom of the DCF ladder. I feel like FTR’s match tomorrow night (which is really tonight cuz Collision is being prerecorded) is going to be “interrupted” by C&C attacking or something, it just wouldn’t make sense to do anything else.

Though, speaking of Collision, does TK rly just throw things at the wall? We had three different “Made for Collision!” segments snuck in throughout the night, and while most of those matches made sense (Ciampa VS Juice and the tag champs getting tune-ups), the last one had that random 8 Man Tornado Tag made. I mean, I get Conglomeration is without Kyle, Hologram, Briscoe AND Ishii, but it’s still a bit random to throw Mistico y Kevin Knight onto it. And is Gabe Kidd hurt? He hasn’t been hanging around even as the corner man for The Dogs. But I suppose this can segue into a World Trios Championship story, #JetSetLucha VS The Dogs or Death Riders.

Great bit of Ospreay attacking Moxley backstage and then being dragged away. Great match between Ospreay VS Pac, but I dunno, wouldn’t The Death Riders just attack Ospreay during the match as payback? I suppose there’s some honor to them letting Pac fight it out and see if he can beat Ospreay, but still. You can still have Moxley spare Ospreay’s life here, and the segment is done so that, guess what? No need for overrun! And also, right hand not knowing left hand returns. Commentary said Moxley VS Ospreay is now for the Continental Championship, but the graphic did not. When was the decision made for the change? It should’ve just been a title match from the start, honestly.

Very good promo from Willow Nightingale to set up an Open Challenge, and I hope a Canadian wrestler is chosen. ROH VS Maple Leaf Pro was a great night for both promotions, and since ROH is also AEW, AEW could invite one of the Maple Leaf Pro women’s wrestlers to the show. That’d make for a great match, a great crossover, but a solid defense for Willow to rebound from losing the tag titles. Great Six Women Tag, though that triple suplex could’ve been cleaner. The irony, given we saw The Cleaner and the boys do one in the men’s match. Great win for Mina & The Birds, and I still think Birds should challenge for tag titles while Mina gets a second chance at the world title.
