Chelsea Green Back on WWE SmackDown Less Than Two Weeks After Heart Procedure
Chelsea Green announced she will be at WWE SmackDown tonight in Columbia, South Carolina, saying she is no longer on bed rest less than two weeks after undergoing a procedure to correct supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Green and husband Matt Cardona were in Los Angeles for the premiere of the new Star Wars “Mandalorian and Grogu” movie before flying to the show; Cardona also tweeted about celebrating his 41st birthday and taking a red-eye to SmackDown.
The procedure, performed in early May, followed an SVT episode around WrestleMania 42 when Green’s heart rate reached 228 beats per minute for about 15 minutes. Already sidelined with an ankle injury, Green has continued to appear in pre-recorded SmackDown segments — including a continued angle with United States Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton — and is expected to resume in-person appearances this week.
