Dave Meltzer: Cain Velasquez and AAA Reunion Unlikely After WWE Acquisition
Dave Meltzer reports that Cain Velasquez’s relationship with AAA has become complicated now that the promotion is owned by WWE, and those behind the scenes see a reunion as unlikely. Meltzer outlines how the change in ownership alters creative and contractual dynamics, making a return for Velasquez far less straightforward than it once might have been.
According to Meltzer, lingering history between Velasquez and AAA combined with WWE’s control over the brand has created practical and political barriers that reduce the chances of any near-term reunion. While Velasquez’s past work with AAA is acknowledged, the current landscape means prospects for a comeback are remote.
