Dixie Carter Declines Interviews for Dark Side of the Ring’s TNA Trilogy

Former TNA president Dixie Carter reportedly turned down multiple invitations to participate in Dark Side of the Ring’s three-part TNA documentary, according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. Production approached Carter several times, but she opted not to sit for interviews while other key figures—including Jeff Jarrett, Jim Cornette, Vince Russo and The Hardy Boyz—provided extensive on-camera accounts; Matt Hardy said he and his brother filmed nearly two hours for the series, which spotlights Jeff Jarrett’s redemption arc. Season 7 of Dark Side of the Ring premieres July 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Vice TV with back-to-back episodes launching the TNA trilogy and a third TNA installment airing the following week.

Carter served as TNA’s president for 15 years after her family business, Panda Energy, purchased the promotion in 2002 and remained in that role until Anthem Sports & Entertainment acquired majority ownership in 2017, overseeing the company through a pivotal era in its history.
