Drew McIntyre Advertised For WWE SmackDown Ahead Of Clash In Italy
WWE’s official website lists Drew McIntyre for this weekend’s edition of SmackDown and he also appears on the promotional poster for the May 29 Barcelona show, the final stop before Clash in Italy on May 31 at the Inalpi Arena. As always, advertised and featured talent can be subject to change, but McIntyre’s inclusion on the site and poster raises the possibility of his presence on the road to the Turin event.
McIntyre’s last televised appearance was at WrestleMania, where he lost an unsanctioned match to Jacob Fatu; that program stemmed from Fatu’s interference in McIntyre’s earlier title run after winning the Undisputed WWE Title from Cody Rhodes in January. Reports have indicated McIntyre took time off to finish filming the Highlander reboot (scheduled for 2027), and while there are no confirmed details about his Clash in Italy participation, the recent promotional materials suggest WWE is keeping him in the mix.
